The Continental Bar in City of London, Westminster

Surprised at the relentless negativity expressed here. OK it is not fine dining and most people are stressed and in a hurry, but cut the poor staff - almost certainly on minimum wage as you swan off for your holiday - some slack. Food and drink are adequate if not exciting and most of the staff seem to make an effort.

Grandes colas en el área de salida, pero los precios están bien teniendo en cuenta. . . las cervezas no son tan frías y la comida es limitada pero no es una mala parada

Es una pena que este sea el único lugar para tomar algún tipo de "desayuno" en la calle Pancras una vez que se haya registrado en la terminal del Eurostar. Los cajeros parecían despistados, la comida era tan limitada que no había muchas opciones. Todo estaba en todas partes, los panecillos del desayuno eran duros y era una pérdida total de dinero. ¡Lo único bueno es que había un espacio para sentarse porque nuestro Eurostar se retrasó! Demasiado caro, selección de basura de comida y personal despistado!

Durante nuestra reciente visita a París en Euro Star Train, tuvimos 45 minutos para esperar en el lounge. Esto nos hizo visitar este restaurante, es solo una cafetería sin nada para comer o comer. El café con leche era de mal gusto.

Un restaurante local en la zona de salidas del Eurostar. Muy ocupado, largas colas. Las mesas están sucias / no se limpian. El personal es lento, mal servicio. tenía un costoso rollo de salchicha caro. . @ 0630 comida expuesta en vitrinas (caliente y fría). la mayoría ya se había agotado, el personal no veía la necesidad de reabastecer las pantallas. Pregunté en el mostrador por el rollo de salchicha, espera larga, luego una actitud que dice que había algo en la cola izquierda pero ninguna en la cola correcta, no lo suficientemente buena, las bebidas están bien

Disorganised to the Max. Some form of ticket/queuing system has been attempted here and despite it not working, it carries on. Staff unfortunately have no emotion nor desire and the only possible reason that this place is still open, is that, you can’t leave the Eurostar departures area to try anywhere else. Avoid like the plague and in fairness, go without, it’ll save you complaining or writing a poor review on TripAdvisor. There was no option for 0 stars, but that’s what this is.

I visited this bar on Wednesday 9th January whilst waiting to board the Eurostar for a short break to Brussels, there were four members of staff behind the bar chatting and playing with their mobile phones,I had to wait before eventually getting someone’s attention I asked for a red wine,the lady serving had great difficulty getting me one, also a bottle of peroni, she left it on the counter, I had to ask her to open it, then asked for a glass, I didn’t use it as it was dirty.The whole bar was scruffy and unloved as were the toilets. A very disappointing start to our short break.

Ce bar ne mérite absolument pas sa place dans une gare. La gestion de la file d'attente est simplement désastreuse. Je voyage beaucoup et jamais je n'ai vu une telle mauvaise organisation. Les managers devraient vraiment se remettre en question

We decided to have breakfast here before catching Eurostar to Brussels. The staff were friendly but it is a matter of finding a table, cleaning that table, queuing and ordering & then waiting for food & drink to be ready. I'm not sure how a single person manages it, as you really need someone sitting at the table, especially after you have cleaned it. We expected much better.

Absolutamente lamentable. El personal se desplaza y cuando se molestan en trabajar, está a un ritmo del que un caracol estaría orgulloso.No hay un concepto de servicio a los clientes en orden y está bastante claro que tienen el monopolio, así que en realidad no les importa.Absolutamente increíble. Este lugar hace que la sífilis parezca atractiva.

Si este lugar estuviera en otro lugar, estaría fuera del negocio en cuestión de minutos, solo su audiencia cautiva es lo que los mantiene aquí. A los tres miembros del personal les llevó veinte minutos procesar tres pedidos. Uno de ellos se paseaba jugando con su teléfono. Seriamente. El cajero principal parece agradable si es acosado. No tuvieron ningún cambio para un 20 y esto es a las 945 am. También había un tipo cuyo trabajo es coquetear con las chicas. Cuando finalmente llegó mi turno, pedí un café y esperé mientras la chica del teléfono tomaba otras tres órdenes. . . y cuando le pregunté si había algún peligro de que apareciera mi café, se veía nerviosa como si nunca hubiera oído hablar de algo así. Luego se fue y lo hizo. . . y el resultado (solo lo probé) no valió la pena la espera. La zona del comedor estaba sucia y en mal estado, con comida en todas las mesas y en el suelo. Es realmente inútil. . . y esto es de un británico aquí. Estoy acostumbrado al servicio indiferente, pero esto es llegar al fondo del barril y comenzar a cavar.

Dado que este bar es después del control de pasaportes, tienen una audiencia cautiva y definitivamente tratan a las personas como tales.

Lorsque l'on attend l' Eurostar pour rentrer en France et que l'on a passé tous les contrôles, c'est le seul établissement pour boire un coup et éventuellement grignoter. Le personnel n'est pas assez nombreux, mais ils sont aimables. Les sandwichs qui font maisons n'avaient vraiment pas l'air bien frais, les feuilles de salade étaient bien fatiguées. On s'est rabattu sur un sandwich triangle qui sans être exceptionnel était correct et au moins frais. La bière était bonne. Les tarifs corrects pour ce genre d'endroit. Ensuite il peut être difficile de trouver une place pour s'assoir. Beaucoup de gens sont assis sans consommer et le personnel ne s'en préoccupe pas. Dernière chose, la propreté des tables et du sol laisse franchement à désirer. Moyen, très moyen donc.

We had pastries and coffee here on our way out of London at the St Pancras rail station. Everything was very fresh and very good.

A large bar serving hot and cold food.a variety of drinks and snacks. Has free Wi-fi. Each time we go I have to wipe our table not the cleanest of bars.

I suggest queuing in Pret for an actual quality and warm meal. My salmon and egg sandwich was squished, cold & unappetizing.

No es un bar, pero una cafetería. Pedí un Bloody Mary pero no jugo de tomate. Probamos un gin tonic pero sin tónica. ¿Qué es este lugar? Amable pero incompetente. No te molestes con el café ya que pueden no haber tenido agua caliente. . .

Este lugar tiene un encanto poco o apelación. También es caro para la calidad de la comida. Café normalito; pero cruasanes con blandas, aceitosas. amarga Una verdadera decepción. Debería haber ido a Pain Quotidien en el hall principal o esperamos para algunos pasteles decente en París. . .

Sandwich and beer were OK but I couldn't help watching a guy crouched on the floor behind the bar re-baiting the rat/vermin poison boxes using a skeleton gun and no gloves whilst holding the boxes. All the while, other staff members stepped around him to serve customers. Quite bizarre, quite disgusting and probably against regulations.

Bien placé: un bar plein à craquer surtout avant des départs de la gare Saint Pancras vers Paris.

We had a couple of coffees and some chocolate croissants while waiting for the train. Good friendly staff, and quite cheap considering there the only cafe in the departure lounge. Plenty of seating but does get very busy.

We were waiting for our train early in the morning and stopped at the Continental Bar for breakfast. Very good.

first thing , what happened with hi,how can I help I didn't know now days people use ''what do you want'' in what I cant blame the poor guy since he was the only one working while chef (girl) + 2 waitress where talking and giggling in front of everyone while there was 16 people in line waiting to be served !! than after i got my coffee with no thank you or a smile or anything and was shaken tip plate in front of my nose with a look of give me tip I know I deserve it I found coffee bean in my late !!! maybe again some new way ! now I understand people have bad day but this , this is absolutely shameless !!!!!!!!!

El nombre Banco crean izquierda cafés de la belle epoque y elegantemente uniformados camareros. El desayuno continental no es bastante que - es autoservicio y las mesas y el piso no se limpia tan a menudo como deberían ser. Aún así, un lugar bastante agradable para una bebida y un bocadillo mientras espera su Eurostar a París o Bruselas.

Early morning train, no sausage no eggs just some microwaved bacon in a shiny bag, service was hurried, only Americano with continental breakfast, poor latte was extra, massive queues and one to definitely avoid. Time for a Spoons!

El personal es muy amable. Poco agradables asientos en la parte adyacente al área del bar. Mucho mejor que esperando el Eurostar en el salón de salida estilo soso con su filas de asientos.

Uno puede esperar un servicio rápido teniendo en cuenta el número de personas esperando para abordar el Eurostar, es caro y que no era sorprendente; sin embargo, el servicio lento, no esperábamos que trabajan a un ritmo muy lento y unas pocas personas a la izquierda la cola porque estaban tomando demasiado tiempo.

It actually makes me angry that this place is so wilfully poor! They know they have a captive audience as the only snack venue in terminal post check-in and so they don't give a flying fig about service or the quality of their food.We ordered a croissant with ham and cheese. It was at 6am so I'm assuming it can't have been there that long... it was flaccid, the cheese slightly greasy with that limp, lying around look and they made no attempt to warm it to melt the cheese. The bottom of the croissant was burnt.We also ordered a porridge - soupy, lumpy and lukewarm - how can you get porridge so wrong? Everything on the counter looked curling, wilted and unappealing and yet there was a ten minute queue.EUROSTAR should be ashamed that millions of customers are starting their journey with this insult to customer services. Our national reputation for terrible food is being well and truly upheld here! Embarrassing.It's appalling and ought to be closed and the spot given to any other cafe franchise who can offer a decent breakfast and know about servicing food fast

There are not many cafe options once you come through to the Eurostar waiting lounge area at King's Corss so we chose The Continental. This was a bad choice: poor customer service and a very hectic environment. They gave us the wrong order and not only we didn't receive an apology but they also didn't show willingness to exchange it. Once exchanged, it was served hot on the outside and cold in the middle. Zero communication skills and service. Would not recommend.

Came here for snacks whilst waiting for the Eurostar.Food was good - really enjoyed the cheese and ham croissant which was warm and flaky, and the cheese was soft and delicious. The pain-au-chocolats were tasty too.Was massively busy with huge queues, and I felt sorry for the poor guy serving who was the only one working. Could tell he was really stressed, but he remained composed and very professional.Tables could do with being tidied and cleaned more regularly.

We had to wait for the eurostar and decided to have a meal here. Staf that took the order was friendly. we ordered de burger with bree and fries. there were no vegetables with it. the fries were not crispy and the burger reheated. when we complaint the lady put over plate in the microwave! If that wil make the things crispy again. we asked for a refund and got it. the cooler broke down so al the drinks were warm.

If you at all can get food/drink before you pass through security to wait to board Eurostar. I would guess that ANY of the options in the larger train station are better than this. That said, if you or someone in your party need an additional shot of caffeine or carbohydrates to help you make it on the train without first biting off someone's head the coffee, pastries, and sandwiches on offer are edible.We opted for an Americano (discarded), a couple of cappuccinos (gratefully quaffed), and a pair of pastries. Just don't say I didn't warn you.

This is only 1 of 3 places you can get food or drinks once you have went thru passport control at the St Pancras Eurostar train station, so you take what you can get. Restaurant is clean and well kept. Staff is friendly and service is good. However, food is just average. On a good note, they have a full bar and you can get liquor, wine or beer! Guess you don't have to have great food when your one of two places serving anything hot, but it would be nice to have a nice fish and chip or some other decent meal while you drink and wait for train. Beer was pretty cheap, and food overpriced for quality.

Planned to grab a drink in here to start our holiday to Paris off but really wish we hadn't I have never encountered such rude staff in all my life, definitely put a dampener on the start of our trip.

The coffee is disgusting taste like milk with water only. They have no idea how to make it. The coffee wasn't hot enough. Waste of money.

Visited today prior to getting eurostar. Got the "beer and a burger" deal for £10.The menu seemed limited- so obviously doesnt have a "proper" kitchen.When my burger turned up it didnt look fit to eat. Burnt, totally dry, totally synthetic. Not fit to eat, i dont think i would even have eaten something like that at 3am totally drunk.I took it back (uneaten) and asked for my money back saying it was "not of adequate quality". The guy who served me was totally nice and apologetic. But the "manager" who refunded was super grumpy and only vaguely apologetic (as if id ruined her day).Conclusion: get a beer here. Do NOT eat here.

My partner asked twice for a macchiato and twice he got a tasteless measly half a cup of coffee. Staff weren't bothered about doing anything about it either.. Total rip off!!

4 inferior quality croissant with ham and cheese croissant £17.00 i.e. £4.25 each and tasteless coffee at £2.70. Eurostar should be embarrassed that they have such a poor quality operator within their departure lounge

Two small cups of average coffee and two dried up bacon rolls with a strip of bacon in each that was so thin you could almost see through it cost us £15.00A complete rip off. They may have a captive monopoly given their location but this was just ridiculous.

The coffee here was one of the worst I have ever had. Horribly prepared, bitter, not just tasteless and aroma-less as happens in poor coffee places, but with a positively bad taste. And, as the icing on the cake, sold at premium prices. Avoid.

Well. In the departure lounge you have two choices - this place or cafe Nero. I had never tried it here before and won't again I have to say.I found out that my hotel on the other side would have closed its restaurant by the time I arrived. Hurrah - a place in St pancreas that is offering hearty fare - a burger! I should have been suspicious when I realised you could order a burger and only a burger. So this little creation seemed to be microwaved. Took all of three minutes to arrive. Wine was not bad. For £16 it's the worst burger I've had. To be honest... I would rather have an 89p McDonald's job - that's junk and junk price at least. It's pretty desperate past passport control here

Really can't believe that in 2016 it is acceptable to reheat food and serve it. The burger was soggy and wedges hard after being zapped to oblivion in the microwave. You need the pint to wash the taste away.Get food before passport control!

I been there before my trip to paris, the team was very friendly and the food so good! I ate croque monsier and the tasty was really nice! I really enjoy it that place!

Ordered two flat whites and they tasted like mud... They were no way near drinkable and a complete waste of money. On the upside the bottled water tasted fine... But the overall experience left a sour taste in my mouth. Avoid if you can

Estuvimos alrededor de una hora con mi señora en este lugar que esta ubicado en la sala de espera del Eurostar. Nos pedimos un café y un té, los cuales, estaban muy buenos. La atención fue rápida y cuentan con varias mesas. El mesón de atención es de forma circular, bien bonito.

This bar is in the Eurostar lounge after you go through passport control. So you have no choice really. Prices were high and food didn't look that good. We had a beer.

A burger cooked some time before and reheated at inflated prices...bring your food with you or go to Nero instead!

I am just sat here after spending£10.80 on a coffee,orange juice and a sausage & bacon roll. The roll, which costs £5.25 was dry, dull, with one sausage and one slice of bacon. Outrageous prices to a captive market. I should have eaten before I checked in. Avoid at all costs.

ロンドンのセント・パンクラス駅構内、ユーロスターの待合所（UK出国後の制限エリア）にあり。メニューは限られ、値段も高く、大した内容ではないが、他には売店があるのみでどうしても食事がしたいときにはここしか選択の余地なし。周りをみると、食事というよりもワインやビールを飲みながら列車の出発まで時間を潰している人が大部分。時間に余裕がありちゃんと食事をしたいというのであれば、ユーロスターの改札に入る前に駅内にカフェなど多数あり、そちらの方がお勧め。。

The Continental is the only bar and dining venue after passport control. However, while prices are predictably high, service was fast and friendly and we found the atmosphere to be fine, but best of all our food was very tasty - so good overall.
