Excellent breakfast in The Common Room, really enjoyed it hugely. Beautifully cooked and presented, it was quite delicious. Very, very good value for money and I will ve back.

Excellent food, friendly staff and good service. Lovely decor and atmosphere was really relaxing. Enjoyed the Eggs Florentine and had a good selection for vegetarians

This is for sure place to eat best english breakfast around this area. Clean, cozy atmosphere, freshly made food with quality ingredients. Hotel staff recommended this place and they were absolutely right. I recommend this to everyone, underline and bold! :D

A un tiro de piedra de la estación de sintonía Clapham South, este pequeño café es una joya escondida. Sirviendo todo tipo de opciones de desayuno durante todo el día, como inglés completo, rosquillas de salmón ahumado y shakashuka, obtienes comida de excelente calidad a muy buen precio. El servicio también es muy rápido. Es efectivo solo así que salta al cajero automático sainsburys 3 puertas más abajo cuando entres.

Fui a desayunar el 27 de agosto con la familia, tomé un gran inglés completo y jugo de naranja recién exprimido.Toda la comida era de excelente calidad y un plato de buen tamaño, el zumo de naranja era fresco, fuerte y abundante. El berro marchito fue un toque realmente agradable, pensé, y generalmente no califico la guarnición.Incluso los huevos estaban bien cocinados.El personal era muy amable y servicial, y planeo volver la próxima vez que esté en Clapham.

Esta es una pequeña cafetería en la calle principal de Clapham South y ofrece un buen estándar de desayuno y un buen café. El rápido servicio de mesas y el eficiente personal lo convierten en un buen lugar para el desayuno. Sin embargo, no vale la pena visitar nada para disfrutar de un desayuno de buena calidad con muchas opciones.Volveremos para otra comida. Recomendado.

The food is simple & nice enough but the staff are something else! They are so rude and look at you like you have inconvenienced their day, and are very ill mannered. AVOID! Plenty of other breakfast / brunch places in Clapham and Balham.

Had the eggs celestine, a variation on eggs benedict but with chorizo and avocado, nice change and they also have a really wide range of dishes including all the usual favourites. Note it is cash only

No es realmente una cuchara grasienta, como me dijo alguien, pero una pequeña cafetería muy limpia y la comida es excelente. Tenía el tocino frito y buenas salchichas, también el huevo revuelto es muy bueno y sabroso, el dueño de la cafetería era agradable y educado y no podía hacer más por ti, es una pena que viva tan lejos de este lugar. ! !

La Sala Común es un sitio habitual para mí y debo decir que la comida aquí es excelente. Aunque hay un menú muy amplio de productos sabrosos para el desayuno, casi siempre tengo el sándwich de tocino y huevo, que es uno de los mejores que he probado. Es un ambiente acogedor y tranquilo, y lo recomiendo para desayunar si se encuentra en el área de Clapham South.

Vinimos a Londres para un concierto en el 02 Brixton y nos quedamos en Clapham South. Cuando salimos de nuestro hotel pasamos por la sala común y sentimos que queríamos un buen desayuno inglés. Entré y el lugar estaba muy limpio y ordenado, y el chico que nos iba a servir era muy agradable y acogedor. Ambos tuvimos el desayuno inglés normal a las 7 cada uno y ambos tomamos una bebida.

Зашли позавтракать (днём закрыто было вчера) и не пожалели. Жена взяла стандартный английский завтрак за 7 финтов, а я большой английский за 10. Смог осилить чуть больше половины, хотя было очень вкусно. Порции большие, приятный интерьер. Рекомендую!

Fantastic food that makes want to come back and try everything in the menu. We enjoyed the big english breakfast, the porridge, the pancakes, eggs benedict, eggs royal, omlette... All delicious!!!

We staid just across the street from this family owned small restaurant and we were so lucky to find it. From the street it might not attract your attention, but once you go in you realize it is just the perfect place to have a completely English experience. For the 3 days we staid in London, we started our days there. The menu is quite diverse and the coffee is really good. The service is very good and you can notice how much the locals appreciate this place in their way of behavior. They always entered the place smiling and greeting the owner. The prices are just ok, but the food is very good.

Small unassuming cafe that does very good breakfasts. Great sausages and the scrambled eggs are world beating. I suggest you don't miss it.

My husband and I chanced upon the Common Room before leaving London later that day. Walking distance from Clapham Common, it is a quaint locale for breakfast offering a variety of items from the hearty (full English breakfast) to the healthy (smashed avocado on toast). There are not many tables, perhaps about 7 of them. However, this made for a cozy atmosphere. My husband ordered the complete big breakfast and I ordered the eggs Florentine, each with cappuccino and tea respectively. My husband was very pleased with his meal, generously plated and not greasy like many English fry-ups that are the norm. For mine, the hollandaise sauce was exquisite and I appreciated the healthy amount of spinach accompanying the perfectly poached eggs (also no potatoes - for me, a good thing). Great breakfast or coffee stop.

Yo trabajo cerca y han venido más días trabajando desde los propietarios actuales se hizo cargo hace más de 12 años. A veces, sólo para un café o otras veces una comida. Es el único lugar en Clapham South hasta llegar decente llevar preparado. No desayuno tradicional cocinado, pero también una amplia variedad de otros platos como pasta, Sopa, ensaladas, salmón ahumado. Precios justos. Puede llegar a estar muy concurrida tarde mañana .

My boyfriend and i after stumbling on this cafe now come regularly. Everything from the decor to the food works perfectly. Delicious! Couldn't recommended a better place for breakfast in Clapham or Balham ! Also v reasonably priced for the wide variety of breakfast.

Six of us were staying close by for three nights and had our breakfasts here every morning. We all varied what we had and were all delighted with everything. The porridge servings are huge, with fruit on the top. Enough to keep you going all day.

No cards. Will take items off the plate but no replacements. Thin soggy toast. Tinned mushrooms and beans on 'big' breakfast for £10. Nothing here to encourage you to return...

Fabulous quick service Say outside. Gorgeous huge ghosts cheese salad and delicious halloumi with avocado and tomatoes. Really tasty filling lunch. Highly recommend!

Possibly the best cooked bacon & eggs outside of a private home! Having experienced both bacon & eggs cooked to a wide variety of standards this has to be the most perfect I've had - just right! The rest of my full English breakfast is as great too.

Cute little homely cafe, reliably serving an excellent, well priced brekkie! I usually order the Full English and its always freshly cooked to order and served in generous portions by friendly staff. Definitely recommend.

Met a dear friend and had to take Eugenie here. She had the best chicken bacon and avocado salad she ever ate! I had the breakfast which I'm still full from with gluten free toast. Lots of exciting new additions to the expanding menu. I like this cosy calm oasis. The staff are lovely. Eugenie popped out and around the corner to use the logout reminded her of her Grannies house from her childhood. She loved it as do I. So gluten free bread, a fab salad, Assam tea and change from 15 for two. Plus it's got a 5* hygiene certificate. I'll be back next visit from a dear friend x

The owner was very welcoming from the moment we walked in and the whole place had a cosy feel. There was a good range of food on the menu and the service was really quick. Portion sizes were spot on an food was delicious- and reasonably priced for the area.We will be back :)

This is surely one of the best places for breakfast in the whole of London. The restaurant serves only breakfast and lunch but on a limited menu for both. However what they do is serve tasty dishes at very good prices and in a easy to get to location. They do not take bookings and at weekends you need to get there early.You don't linger in this wee place but you never leave disappointed. Great wee place.

It shouldn't be hard to find a good breakfast but, strangely enough, so many look promising and then disappoint. This is the other way round, not much to recommend it from the outside and then suddenly a truly superb breakfast appears. Delicious honey-soaked pancakes, perfectly crisp and fluffy, with fresh berries and Greek yogurt; traditional English enhanced by the quality of the ingredients; thick cut, hot and crunchy buttered toast that leaves me wondering why others get it so wrong. With speedy service and reasonable prices, I left totally satisfied. Well done!

What can I say, I had time to kill on a Saturday morning and stumbled across this little gem. A beautifully cooked and well presented English breakfast, pleasant smiley service and quirky furnishings. Love it!!! Will I be back? You bet I will!

I come here regularly every time I'm in London. The food compared to the average restaurant in London is superb !!. The also make you feel at home and the prices v' s quality are phenomenal. The management are not only running a fantastic but also creating one of the best dining experiences in the whole London.

My boyfriend and I come here on a fairly regular basis - the food is always exceptional and incredibly good value for London. I always go for the Common Room breakfast though my boyfriend tends to change his meal every time, everything we have tried has been great. Great coffee on offer and lovely staff, although once or twice the service has been a little slow this is rare and it is an incredibly busy little cafe. Definitely one of the perks of Clapham.

My friend and I popped down on a Saturday morning for some breakfast.Eggs Benedict was the order of the day and I know you don't have to be Heston Blumenthal to prepare such a dish, however, having just frequented a suburban Cafe Rouge I've seen first hand how one could screw it up! The Eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was not underdone (a cardinal sin in my eyes) and the hollandaise sauce's flavour was balanced for deliciousness!Keep producing eggs like that and you shall keep this local frequenting. Go and get it in your face!

I ordered a Chicken and avocado salad with bacon, but swapped the bacon with halloumi instead. It took ages to come and was the last to finish eating as I didn't want everyone else food to get cold, so told them to go ahead. We then went to pay and the waitress told me my £6.99 salad was instead £9.49 as the halloumi could not be substituted for the bacon. I said I wasn't told and she said well the other waitress is new and simply handed me the change. Considering how long the salad took to come and the service after I would normally have kicked up a fuss, but I was on my lunch break and had to get back to work. NEVER AGAIN

I'm normally not a MORNING person. HOWEVER, this little place was enough to change my attitude. Everyone odds so friendly and the food is great. Coming to England. .is one of the best decisions I've made recently. And this place helped me to decide that!

La colazione tipica inglese (bacon, fagioli, uova, salsicce) è disponibile nella versione normale a 6,50£ e nella versione più grande, mi pare intorno alle 10£. Il bagel con salmone e formaggio spalmabile è favoloso, le spremute d'arancia sono ottime. Se siete da quelle parti vi consiglio di farci un salto.

We stayed in london for a week and every morning for breakfast we made it to the common room. The breakfast was delicious! The omelets were fluffy and very filling. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. I felt very comfortable and welcomed. I would go back to London from the US just to eat at the common room again!

Really good full English with loads of bacon, even on the smaller version. You've gotta be pretty hungry to choose the larger version! Great pancakes with plenty of fruit. Bring cash as it's a cash only establishment.

A small restaurant but a warm wellcoming. We had 3 english breakfirst with real fresh orange juice, Fresh food cooked on spot. Nice place.

I love coming to this little cafe. They are so obliging with my request for plain pancakes with fruit and maple syrup on the side. The staff are so friendly too and when I am up in this area I always make sure I am there in the morning so I can have pancakes and a lovely cappuccino.

Ignore the opening times they are incorrect, they open early morning to 2.30 ish, great lunches and breakfasts, very nice staff and competitively priced, try it!!

This is a small little cafe which serves a very nice breakfast. Real sausages, which is always a treat, smoked bacon. Nice surroundings. Pleasant staff who are to accommodate slight changes to your order and suggest alternatives.Without all the pfaff and faux decor of some other diner style breakfast eateries; The Common Room is a lot more straight forward and benefits from that approach.It is a little limited on space with a selection of small tables and some larger tables seating six. It can get quite crowded and the six seat tables might put some diners off having to share a table with others in close proximity. However once seated, you can be assured of a decent meal, a good coffee and a pleasant experience which is all you can ask for really. I enjoyed it

Tried to have a BLT today at noontime and it is was hard to eat! My boyfriend ordered full English breakfast .it was nice but today he has upset stomach............Also it's quite expensiveAs the setting is nice we went back gave it another chance,but now I'm definitely not going back!

Tomei um café da manhã tipicamente britânico nesse delicioso restaurante. Todos os itens estavam divinos: Ovos, linguiça, bacon, bata rosti, etc. O chocolate quente também é divino e o cappuccino também é delicioso. Recomendadíssimo!!

Recommended by the Gateway Hotel we went here for breakfast and havent been disappointed. Friendly staff, good and fresh food, relaxing music and very good coffee in huge mugs. We will go there again today. Recommended by us t(w)o(o)!

We asked for a table, 2 or 3 were clear, we were told to come back in 30 minutes as they were too busy, the staff just didn't seem bothered. Would I go back?NOT A CHANCE

We enjoyed a lovely breakfast during a busy Sunday morning. The staff tried very hard to find seats for us - we were a group of 5. We ordered the eggs benedict , pancakes and a common room breakfast and all the food was delicious. The toast comes with lashings of butter- a real treat. We would recommend.

Third time there, at varing times, but awlays clean, bright and fresh, lovely staff, great variety of dishes, excellent food and very good value.

I work nearby this cafe and when I have the time I call in here for a cooked breakfast before I go to work. I find myself leaving for work earlier now to go and have one there as I enjoy them so much. The bacon is top quality with an amazing flavour, it is a nice sized breakfast without being to much you feel full. It comes with Toast and that is lovely bread, I generally go for the Brown which is slightly seeded. It is good quality at a reasonable price, pleasant staff, clean and tidy and I will certainly be going back, quite probably tomorrow :)

Visited the cafe for breakfast.The full English was one of the nicest I have ever had.The price was reasonable and also the coffee was excellent.The service was also very good.I was only in the area for one day but if Iam ever near this area again I would seek out this little gem.Inside was very welcoming with an eclectic mix of furnishings.

Excellent breakfast at this super little find, up the road from where I am staying.The staff are so obliging too as I did not want the American Pancakes with Greek yoghurt which was the offer of the day and they gave me alternatives ie fruit with maple syrup in a little jug and this was just perfect. Coffee is good too. The menu looks very nice for lunch so need to go here with friends and enjoy. Always busy. Only downside, they stop serving at 3.00pm!
