The Commercial Bar & Hotel in Cheshire West and Chester

The Keats room offers a very nice and spacious bedroom and bathroom. While it appears a bit old, it is well-maintained, similar to most buildings in Chester. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Chester. However, there is no lift, so it's best to avoid bringing too many bags. At this price, we couldn't ask for more.

Got short changed by girl on the bar. Gave £20, got change from 10. Only when I asked to talk to someone in charge, finally admitted to it. Its happened twice now... one time to me another to a friend. Its naughty and she must get away with it to other people

Location good, but that's the only positive. Our room was freezing it was -4°C outside, the radiators weren't on A small heater had been provided, however, this was inadequate. Management (Jay) was notified at the time, although he advised that the heating was due to come on, this didn't happen. The Hotel holds Kareoke on Sunday & Wednesday, we booked Thursday for this reason, unfortunately the Hotel did not inform us that Kareoke was to be held on the night of our stay. I have given feedback to Management, the reply is rude & insulting. I would expect that genuine feedback would be taken on board to improve customer experience.

Brilliant atmosphere good staff and fantastic music. Would definitely recommend a night here

Avoid at all costs! Every Friday and Saturday there is a party with deafening music until 2am on the ground floor and the surrounding courtyard. The noise continues until 3am, when the last people leave and the staff clean up. So it is impossible to sleep. I have attached a leaflet I found in the bedroom which states that these parties take place every Friday and Saturday until 2am.

Nice courtyard with music, Would be better if door men turned away drunken people as on the 9th around 10pm drunks were been let in and fighting was going on in the entry.

My friend and I stayed here on Friday 18th October. A brilliant location just perfect, unfortunately that is the only good thing i can say about. From springs sticking out of the mattress, to faulty lights, not central light so room appears dark. However the worst is the noise, although we were told on arrival it would be a quiet night and finish early. It didn't and at 2am when the music ended the staff then made a lot of noise moving the furniture under a canopy which lasted nearly an hour. I can't believe they think people of any age would be able to sleep through such noise

We had a lovely time in the very spatious suite, the bed was comfortable, the bathtub enormous, and the staff was very friendly and discreet. Every think was clean and in order. I'll definitely recommend it!

Amazing place. Couldn't ask for better customer service all staff are welcoming and friendly.
