Very friendly cafe with good range of food. Bellybuster breakfast was a challenge but got through it in the end. Ideal for a fast meal.

What a great spot for Breakfast and Dog Friendly too. Went two days on the trot it was so good. First day I had a sausage and bacon sandwich and my friend had a full English which included a coffee and toast. Second day went as a group and we all had sandwiches. The coffees are nice here too. My dog was brought a water bowl and sausage on both days. Great friendly staff and really well priced (photo of the breakfast part of the menu attached). 5*

Located in Berwick this gem of a cafe is a short walk from the Haven site which was our base for a few days. I went for the full breakfast and I was not disappointed. The staff are super friendly and the food was excellent value which set me up for the rest of the day. In fact it was so good I went back the next day. Great food, Friendly staff and superb value, this cafe is a must visit for hungry people local or visiting.

We dropped in here for coffee when alighting from the bus as it is next to the bus stop. Our first visit to Berwick and what a welcome! Friendly service tempted me to a bacon roll. The decor is early 1960s in style but quite new. The husband bakes scones at 5am each day before going off to his day job and they are lovely. it is great to have a cheese scone which is not afraid to taste of cheese and the fruit scones were equally good. Before catching the bus back to Seahouses we called in again for a light lunch of home-made soup and more scones and it was packed. Very reasonable prices; clean restaurant and toilets.

As soon as we walked in they were extremely friendly and helpful. We found a seat and the menu had something for everyone. The drinks and food arrived quick. It was great food I had a ham sandwich and a tea which both were superb. I would highly recommend this if anyone is in the vicinity. Friendly staff and wonderful food and drinks.

The lady was very friendly and helpful. We had coffee and cake, the coffee was so good! You get a decent portion of cake, I actually had to half mine and take the rest home. Only small qualm was the facilities didn't have hot water to wash hands, but there was soap.

We popped in here for breakfast, friendly service and a large breakfast. All breakfasts are served with a tea or coffee. Tasty and filling.

What a wonderful friendly little cafe. The toastie’s were absolutely delicious, and my son enjoyed his pizza too. Staff were very welcoming and the service was excellent. Will definitely go back next time we visit Berwick. ♥️

We had been looking for somewhere for a light breakfast and spotted this cafe. We are very glad we stopped in. We received a lovely welcome from the lady owner. We chose to have tea and toast. I always have to take decaff and often this can be a problem. Not here. The owner and I had a lovely chat about decaff and how she always provides it. The tea both decaff and non (for my partner) was lovely and the toast nice and fresh along with real butter and jam. All very good value. She had a number of regular local visitors and made us all feel as important. Please do pop in if you are in the area. We will be sure to do so if around there again.

Wes we’re looking to find somewhere for a drink and light snack, what a find this was. Friendly service and excellent value, without the frills. This is obviously popular with the locals which says a lot. Would visit again if in the area.

We were impressed with the welcome and the service. It was noticeable just how busy the place was for a Tuesday lunchtime. We were made most welcome and both the food and service were excellent. A good stop of point for photographers.

Very small cafe, however, the lady there was very nice and very helpful. Nothing was too much bother for her! The egg mayo sandwich made fresh for me was no trouble at all. A nice cuppa and a great quick late lunch. Thank you very much, just what we needed during a rainy day!

You would be hard pushed to find a better breakfast anywhere, £6.95 for freshly cooked breakfast including tea or coffee ! Angela even remembered on our second visit that my Husband wouldn't want toast with his breakfast. So nice to be somewhere that the staff obviously love being at work. We will be back.

Called in for breakfast, full breakfast with mug of coffee for £6.95 - great value. Cosy little cafe with many locals, Angela the owner goes out of her way to welcome and chat to everyone which creates a fanatastic atmosphere. Will call again to try out some of the home made produce which looked delicious.

Absolute amazing food I had the cheese and onion quiche with chips and salad it was out of this world ! Angela is so lively and so welcoming I highly recommend her little cafe

This coffee shop very friendly the lady and her staff that run are lovely the breakfast I had on two mornings was lovely and hot it is well worth a visit if you are in Berwick on sad thing on my last day I came here for my breakfast be fore returning my trip back to oban and it was closed my fault had to go to the cafe a cross the road but if return will come back here

Nice place to stop off. We all really enjoyed our breakfast. Kids loved their hot chocolates and pancakes.

Husband and I had breakfast here 2 days running. Very friendly staff and clean environment. Food delicious and very reasonably priced. Wouldn't go anywhere else now and will definitely visit again if we are back in Berwick

What a find!! We stumbled upon this lovely little family run cafe whilst away and what a little hide gem it was.Good honest home made food( toastie was to die for) for me it was the owner, my eldest daughter was ill and he went out of his way to make her a fresh ginger tea to make her better.....kindness is everything and for me PRICELESS! please pay these guys a visit as you won't be disappointed.

What a great find this cafe is. Bagels are to die for. Tried their bagel of the day - chorizo cheese jalapeño and bbq sauce with a portion of skin on fries - out of this world! Will most defiantly be back

Popped in here as our usual haunt, Costa, was closed. As it turned out it was a great choice. Delicious latte, proper tea and a small selection of delicious cakes. We didn’t have any other food but it did look good!

Popped in when. We had just missed our bus, cup of tea and a toastie went down great whilst we waited for the bus. So did the cheese scones we took with us for tea

Called in as a family for some lunch before a trip to the beach. Tucked away a bit down a side street but a great find. 5 star hygiene and used by the locals. Had a good range of straight forward food at a reasonable price. Kids sandwich with crisps, biscuit and drink for £2.15 a bargain! Delicious breakfast and toasties. Staff very obliging and friendly. Highly recommended

Had a breakfast not having had anything to eat for 36 hours. I wish I had continued with my fasting. They serve sausages which didn’t make the grade of the ones they use in tins of beans. (Remember them)!!!

Had a lunch stop here with two children and hubby. Staff were lovely, couldn’t do enough and allowed us to swap our meals about to have exactly what we wanted. Lovely home made food and smiley staff. Thankyou

Came here twice 2 weeks ago when i was in Berwick . Nicely laid out cafe.had a sausage sandwich one day and cheese and onion the next. Very pleasant staff, especially the owner who recommended Spittal beach for me.Anyone after a nice place to rest i would certainly suggest this

This place is a decent place.. good staff, cheap & cheerful food - but the only complaint is it was a bit greasy smell, granted it was a cold day & condensation on Windows but some good ventilation would really help a lot.. I'm writing this on a train going home & I can still smell it on my clothes.. sorry but its true..Scored as average.. but would have been very good except for this.

A great place for cheap, quality food. Visited last week. The service was very fast and friendly. I had a toastie which also came with salad and crisps, more than I expected. Very reasonably priced.

This Cafe is a great place to visit while in Berwick. The prices are cheap, the food is lovely as are the staff. Couldn't ask for a better Cafe in the area. Visit regularly evem though I live in Whitley Bay!

We needed a sit down and a cuppa, having rejected Costa we came upon this little gem! Used by locals it can't be all bad, and we were right, good fresh coffee, a decent cup of tea, all good so far. A homemade fruit scone well fruited, a good size and warm with soft butter, you cannot go wrong. For me egg mayonnaise sandwiches in brown, excellent, swift service, clean tables, personable staff. All good.

This would have been a five star rating if the food had all arrived today. The food was excellent and not expensive. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Coffee Stop.

I poped in while waiting for the bus to Kelso. Met Michele and Dennis ... local people. Lots of friendly people, lovely staff, good coffee. Although I didnt order a breakfast, one's ordered looked jolly good.

Tried here by chance and had two excellent breakfasts with hot drinks included in cost. Everything was freshly cooked and piles of toast were added. Staff very friendly

Cogimos el tren con ni idea de a dónde ir o cómo llegar allí. Nos detuvimos en el azar para café y desayuno. La comida era estupenda. Compartimos el vientre buster y el café estaba caliente y fuerte y se sirve en una gran taza. El servidor, quizás propietario (no recuerdo su nombre) era muy dulce. Preguntamos algunas cuestiones turísticas y ella tontos no parecía poner en absoluto. Ella nos llevó fuera y señaló las direcciones y las recomendaciones formuladas. Recomendaría este lugar sin dudarlo. También probé el Haggis en el vientre buster y era realmente bueno. Le encanta y volvería seguro

Just wanted something to tide us over until our evening meal as we'd missed lunch. An unassuming little cafe but very clean and tastefully decorated. Ordered lattes and slices of coffee and Victoria sandwich cake. The proprietor told us her husband makes all the cakes...

Was in Berwick for the Goldwing Light Parade and popped in this café for a snack. The owners couldn't have been more friendly. The cheese toasties were delicious. We hope you enjoyed the lights!

Lovely friendly cafe in the centre of Berwick. Lots of delicious looking cakes as well as cooked items. Breakfasts are grilled so no "greasy spoon" smell. So clean and stylish I thought I had gone into a hairdressers by mistake.

Came to for day trip down to Berwick upon tweed for a wee change and decided to have some food in the Coffee Stop. Such a friendly cafe, with courteous staff and a warm welcome. Decor bright and spacious but with a homely feel. The food was fantastic and a really good size portion - cakes and scones were to die for and even brought some scones home for hubby. Will definitely return X

The staff were welcoming and attentive and the all day breakfast was fantastic value for money, nice to see its used a lot by local people and being northerners they were very friendly.

Lovely cake and really well priced. Lovely talkative staff with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Has a really quirky wee design to it, quite 50's i would say. Will be back soon for more cake!

Perfectly located right next to the main bus stop on Golden Square in the centre of town is the lovely little cafe called The Coffee Stop. I had the home made lentil soup as it was freezing and outside followed by the home made chicken and sweetcorn pie and a take away Coffee and a scone Home made again for the bus to London. I've just finished the scone and just had to write this review. The food was truly lovely.Happy Helpful staff.

This little gem truly is the best little coffee shop/eatery in town! I used to live in the town and frequented The Coffee Stop 3-4 times a week, sometimes for lunch, often just for a quick coffee and a catch up with the ever friendly staff.The place is spotless clean and offers a wide array of full meals and snacks, from occasional roast dinners, simple but yummy fish n chips, Panini's, sandwiches, pies and the best selection of cakes, desserts and sweets in town, great kids menu.............all at a very reasonable price too.The homemade pies, cakes, and scones are a particular delight and freshly baked every morning.I have recently moved to Australia and the very first place I visited for a decent feed when I got back to town was this place! Top service and banter with the friendly staff, a cracking lasagna and chips and the best cup of coffee you will find around.As my heading says, its a 10/10 from me! Check it out.

Visit here with my friends and my little boy, nothing is ever a problem and if my little boy has a request he will get something made for him, staff are all so friendly and the food cakes and scones are always spot on and always a big selection.Not to mention the great coffee! Highly recommend

On a recent family trip we stopped for lunch in this well located cafe. Not only were we greeted with a friendly smile, introduced to our server, Angela, and made to feel like we were part of the community, but also the food was amazing. Having two young kids is always stressful and off putting when going out for lunch/dinner but the kids were no trouble nd were rewarded with drawing and books from the staff.The home made baking just topped off out experience, were spoiled for choice, carrot cake was out of this world. And the handmade chocolate lollies for the kids.This is a lovely friendly cafe serving good food and baking and would go over and above for their customers.Will definitely be back, well done Angela and her team ..

Situated right beside the south bound bus stop is this friendly little cafe which has recently been refurbished to a very tastefully looking 60's themed black and white decor. You will get a friendly welcome from the owner Angela and if you're lucky will get to sample her husband George's excellent baking skills . His meringues are to die for as is most of his baking . The menu is reasonably priced and covers everything to satiate your hunger at any time of the day , from an excellent breakfast menu to mid morning snacks , a full cooked lunch and afternoon tea and cakes . Did I mention George's meringues ? It is ideally situated for the bus stop and the centre of the town and perhaps a walk around The Walls. For the bus traveller , Angela will make you a nice sandwich and a cup of tea or coffee to take with you on the bus . This is a locally owned cafe with a style of it's own .

This casual coffee shop/restaurant is located by the bus stops right in the town centre so it well located for a coffee or casual meal stop. Prices are extremely reasonable. The cafe is clean and in my experience, service is prompt and very friendly. There is a good range of casual foods to meals to choose from plus sandwiches, hot and cold drinks, cakes, desserts etc. The coffee is good and cheaper than some of the other places in town.

Called into this lovely cafe for lunch while waiting for the bus to Bamburgh, and what a delight it was. The place is very clean and the staff on duty were very pleasant.. There is a good selection of main meals and sandwiches to choose from, and various drinks eg; tea/coffee/cold drinks, as well as various home made cakes and desserts. Will go there again, next time I visit Berwick.

We were on holiday and we stopped in here for lunch. The selection on the menu was great, as were the prices. They offered a great deal for my children - Sandwich, Crisps, biscuit and juice (refillable) for £1.95. I had a sandwich, which came with crisps and a bottle of water and my husband had sandwich with crisps and a coffee. It came to £11 all in which is amazing value. the bread was fresh and the filling was yummy too.The service from the ladies was top notch and they were brilliant with the kids. Quick, friendly service and fantastic food. Will be back when next there on holiday

It took them at least 20 - 30 minutes to actually take my order as they seemed more interested in talking with friends that was also in there When the food finally arrived it was acceptable but I think the long wait spoilt it for mr

We are on holiday and called in for lunch yesterday. We had scampi chips and peas. The chips were frozen chips and thinned garden peas the scampi wasn't proper scampi it was mushed fish in fact I only ate the scampi and left the rest it was horrible the worst lunch I've ever had. The scones were nice but the lunch was a let down will never go again

Good friendly service homemade lunches and cakes and more ,great value for money .curry today and it was excellent and great value for money.
