Called in on a few occasions and was really happy with the way staff and volunteers spoke and dealt with my husband and myself. The food is good value and there is no rush to vacate a table. There is also the chance to get a bargin in the furniture shop or some other household item. Plenty of books and toys for the children. Well worth a visit and also a way to donate any unwanted household item that is in good condition. The staff and volunteers should be proud of what they do to raise funds for the Willow Wood Hospice.

If you are short if time, the Coffee Shop fits the bill and whilst the selection is limited, believe me, what you get is the best of food, you can also peruse the selection of books and no doubt you will find something of interest and purchase for a small sum,

We go here regular for lunch, they only have a small selection on the menu but everything is done exceptionally well, different soup each day, great breakfast, great sandwiches, cakes and scones, and its all for charity as well.

Just called into the Charity shop and then thought about a coffee here, and worth the stop. There was only one table free so it was very busy and we had to wait a while for our order to be processed but the coffees and jam scones were really good and at £6.70 for the two of us we thought really good value. Would stop by The Pad again.

I've driven past the Past the Pad loads of times on the way to the station but thought it was just the furniture shop for the charity. When I was invited to for afternoon tea to The Pad I wondered what it was all about. Our tables were all laid out nicely and the staff very welcoming. I loved the teapots even though not a tea drinker and there was a good selection of herbal/ fruit teas £ coffee. We had wonderful trays of sandwiches and the cake stand was to die for. Scones with Rodarts Cornish Clotted cream, Macaroons, + two other cakes. The afternoon tea provides not only an enjoyable experience but an excellent way of fund raising for an important charity. Also we had a good look around the charity shop. I will recommend this to a group of ladies that lunch.

We decided to have lunch in The Pad for a change. My other half had a tuna toastie which she seemed to enjoy, and I had a beef & onion muffin from the specials board (£2.50 I think). It's a cold sandwich (sliced cooked meat) but tasty nonetheless. It comes served with a few crisps in a bowl. The muffin isn't really what I'd call a man-size portion but I did enjoy it and filled up with a slice of carrot cake. The staff freely offered us an extra fork so we could share. I noticed they also had chicken and stuffing muffin on special which I'll try next time. The ladies are always pleasant and bring your food to your table. Browsing the menu, I see that they've put a white sticker over the cooked breakfasts so I don't know if these are gone for good or just temporarily? After eating, I had a browse in the shop and picked up a few bits.

We encountered excellent service. Tha atmosphere was pleasant and prices were reasonable. We found it enjoyable to be able to browse through the books that were on sale. On the ground floor of this store we found a good selection of quality furniture at reasonable prices.

The cafe is cosy and the staff up there are friendly. Heard the manager of the shop downstairs being a bit abrupt on several occasions but maybe she's under a lot of pressure. Upstairs the cafe staff are very welcoming even to a mum with an excited toddler ;) Rummage through the bargains and treat yourself to some delicious homemade chocolate orange cake. The selection is limited but tasty and the profits go to charity so you needn't feel guilty about stuffing your face!

Came here for the first time and was blown away by the friendliness of the staff. I fussy about my eggs and told the waitress as much, but they were happy to cook to order they were perfect as was the toast, done to a golden crisp. The staff aren't bad to look at either and and can't wait to try their lamb madrass and maybe some other things on the menu 😉
