The Coffee House 211 in Colchester

When I moved here there was two lovely lady’s who ran it by them self but they left to Australia so a new group came which have recently gotten rid of many of the best items and now have made it terrible I recommend you go to the greasy spoon close to Tesco which is only a five minute walk and is vastly superior to the coffee house 211

Lovely atmosphere. clientele from pensioners to kids in pushchairs (not much room but it just doesn't seem to matter ) Good food sensibly priced

A menudo pop aquí para tomar café y comer. El café es excelente y siempre lo que a usted le gusta. Hay varios platos calientes, y estás avisado de antemano que puede haber un retraso corto ya que todo es preparado en el momento. Mi favorito es el Brie, tocino y cebolla roja, deliciosa, relish panini y he oído que el desayuno durante todo el día baguette es épica. No he tenido el coraje de probar todavía! Gente agradable, limpia y bien cuidada poco lugar, precios razonables, que es la razón por la que volveré.

Buena comida, buen servicio, bien merece una visita. El único inconveniente sólo limitado el aparcamiento en la calle. Pero no dejes que esto te desanime, vale la pena el esfuerzo.

Visitamos la casa de café esta mañana para cuando tiempo thesecond en la zona y, de nuevo, la comida nos pareció muy buena cocinados a la orden, un lugar que vale la pena visitar

popped in for a panini on my lunch break as well as trying the home made chocolate brownie (very nice 5/5) the staff are also very polite, would defiantly come back. had the cheese and ham panini and asked for it with out pickle and that wasn't a problem which shows that everything is freshly prepared as well.

A delightful coffee house with friendly staff , reasonable prices and nice cakes, haven't tried the hot food. Would go again if in the area.

the coffee and food is good, and the prices are also good, the service is excellent and its a shame other cafes dont have the same level of customer service as this cafe. Made to feel welcome. the cafe also sells some good quality ice cream but cant remember the name of it. Its worth a visit just a shame the location isn't closer to town as if it was it would easily be one of the busiest cafes in colchester. A big thumbs up for the staff.

Driven past many times and finally stopped for a coffee. Very friendly, efficient service and great coffee. Would recommend a stop instead of must driving past.

Came here because I've passed it so many times and after seeing the reviews on trip advisor seemed a good place to come. Came here for breakfast and it was really tasty with lots of flavour. My friend had the sausage sandwich with a coffee and I had the all day breakfast for £6.99. So people running it were really friendly and nice. Would defiantly go bk. My only gripe is that if I'm paying £7 for breakfast I would like 2 sausage&bacon not one slice .

Stopped in for a Late whilst the wife went around the shops, I just hate shopping but I do enjoy sitting with a nice coffee and people watching the staff were very friendly and helpful and the coffee was good and hit the spot I would recommend a visit for a brew or two.

I've been frequenting the Coffee House since it opened, mainly solo or with my daughter and, occasionally, my wife. You're always greeted with a very welcoming smile from Tracie and Hannah, and leave all the better for the experience. There's a good selection of food and drink on offer, all at reasonable prices. Despite the fact it's not in town (which I have to say, I prefer), this dynamic duo have done an excellent job in raising the profile of their establishment and building up the business and clientele. Will be sad to see them go. They'll be a hard act to follow.

Nice little shop came here lots of time and keep coming back for more can't have too much of the food on my home.

Today I went to the Coffee House, a little out of town but well worth the journey. I was greeted by two delightful young ladies who were really uplifting and very welcoming/friendly. The food was really nicely presented and tasted great. I will be going again for the great service alone. True meaning of service with a smile.

It's always refreshing when you are served by people that actually do care and take the extra effort to meet your needs and requests. When backed up by homemade soups, cakes and an extensive variety of sandwiches which are full of flavour I was very impressed.

I came in to have a business meeting with a very important client, the service was so welcoming and instantly understanding that myself and my client were there on business. So we were served with a smile and left to it, with the occasional 'can I get you anything else sir', when our cups and plates were empty. I personally think it's the right customer service and respectful space, which everyone likes.

Nice people, great breakfast, delivered. Spot on. The breakfast baguettes are brilliant, and have had some great sandwiches here as well.

Stumbled upon the coffee house 211 with my uni mates today and has the nicest afternoon! The two ladies were really polite and professional and the place was inviting! Loved the music and the fact that we could plug our laptops and study! The coffees and frappes were delicious and the cakes were home made! And we liked the fact that they had gluten free products as I find it hard to find biscuits that are suitable for me. Going there again this week with my family as its the perfect place to relax drink coffee and sit with the family! Highly recommend!

Had been meaning to try this place for a while, support local businesses etc etc, but unable to do so due to odd opening times, closing at Lunchtime on a Saturday, really?

What a lovely little place this is; a real gem staffed by two friendly, charming ladies. Clean and modern with free wifi. Make sure you stop off and treat yourself!!

I can't start my day with a fix of the amazing lavazza coffee that these lovely girls serve. Great place to eat and hang out.always a wide variety of healthy food on offer. The most friendly and helpful staff. Perfect for business meetings and they also deliver . Ten out of ten ladies.

Small but excellent staff. Not cheap, but fairly priced, lovely little cafe. The two ladies working in the cafe were very friendly and brilliant with our young daughter.

You can not get better service than this in colchester, the food is fresh and home made,the coffee is exelant and free wi fi aswell, sitting outside or inside the staff do a great job. This is now our regular. Dave & Steve.

Broad smiles welcome you into this lovely independent establishment in the perfect location for a break from work, or en route to Wivenhoe for the weekend sunshine. The atmosphere is cosy, fresh and friendly with a modern style and everything is of the highest quality. I enjoyed the perfect cappuccino - freshly ground and light as air, and a slice of home made carrot cake. My sister had a generously filled chargrilled veggie panini with goats cheese. She has less of a sweet tooth, but it caters for all! (Even if her children had been there, we still could have enjoyed our chat in peace with their thoughtful stools and colouring benches for youngsters). The Love these ladies have invested is tangible. All components mix in for a faultless recipe for success.

Quite a regular visitor to this establishment and I must say I am impressed.

A very lovely place and welcoming.The coffee and food is excellent and as I work in Whitehall I pop in there regularly it's a great addition to the area.The staff are really friendly and helpful, i recommend the coffee house if you like a good coffee.

This coffee shop is local to where I live and visited it a couple of times now and the service is excellent. Coffee is just right and good selection of sandwiches. Just what we needed in Colchester.

Coffee House 211 has recently opened in the old butchers shop on Old Heath Road. Luckily for us this lovely coffee house is just a stones throw away. The coffee is delicious as are the salads and sandwiches. The hugely warm welcome you receive from staff makes it seem like I have been going there for years. I would recommend a visit for anyone in the area, you'll be returning time and time again.
