Love the Coffee Cabin! We have been coming to The Coffee Cabin for 3 years since my father-in-law passed away and Jayne organised a lovely gathering afterwards for us and then again a few months later for my mother-in-law! We are not local, living in Bristol, but still visit whenever we can as such a gorgeous, warm, friendly environment with bacon paninis that are scrumptious, cheese scones with chilli jam that are divine and coffee that always hits the spot! It’s like coming home and just wish we could visit more frequently. Thank you for always welcoming us like regulars and can’t wait until the next visit 💕

As two Celebrants we are often at Taunton Crematorium to officiate at services in the Chapel and our busy days are always made so much easier and nicer by a visit to see Jane and her colleagues at The Coffee Cabin. They are warm, friendly, helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble and we can't resist the lovely food and drink always on offer. We have seen them go above and beyond for the many bereaved families who seek refreshments and support when they visit the Crematorium to say goodbye to their loved ones. Jane is also such a welcoming host to the many work colleagues such as us who pop through her door looking for a hot cuppa. I witnessed the following immediately after my partner's mother's funeral: a buffet for the attendees was arranged with this establishment, and was provided as agreed. As the deceased was a great fan of a particular make of sausage roll, as mentioned in the actual service, one each was given to the guests prior to them entering the café... Perhaps ill advised however the proprietor decided to behave in a way that was insensitive and unprofessional about it... Ignoring apologies, gesticulating and angrily berating the daughter's of the bereaved, it ruined an already difficult day.... It was after all a funeral. The behaviour displayed was inappropriate and out of proportion to what actually occurred. A shame because the food was very good and the rest of the staff very polite .

We held my mum's wake at the coffee cabin. We had hot drinks and cake as it was early morning. The coffee and cakes were delicious and the service was excellent....such friendly staff. It's only a small space but for something cosy, relaxing and more intimate, this is a great venue.

I love the coffee cabin everyone is lovely. I come on a regular basis. Jane has always been lovely and helped me on down days. The food is good and atmosphere is so friendly. There is always a smile. Well done to you all. I always recommend you. Xx

Thank you also for the sensitive way you addressed everyone, especially myself, it very much helped a sad day be very memorable. Such kindness and sensitivity from yourself and staff. Sister And I Had sausage Rolls To Give Fellow Mourners To Take Home But Some Ate There Understandably On Reflextion Owner Didn't Like This As Food Was Already There But To Mention She Was Told Of Such I appoligised explained our late mum liked saussge rolls this was met with threatening aggressiveness tone had a go at my sister and myself more than once I and both appoligised I told people just to take home but she wouldnt let It go because myself and sister In breif Self and Sister said sorry re sausage rolls given out. Not All people came back after And turned up to cabin this was clearly not liked thats not my or sisters fault This Is Not Customer care Its A funeral And even was angry body language within the area people witness this................... Ref Your Reply. you for your reply. I understand what you have said however, although you have mentioned that you were not verbally aggressive, I felt you were. This was an extremely difficult and emotional day for me as it was my Mother's funeral. You spoke to my sister first and this upset her and she came back into the cafe very distressed saying she 'could not cope with this and that I had to sort this out'. And Mentioned Your Verbal And Way To Her To Some Of Our People I am unsure why you felt that you needed to repeat this again to me.fortunately this ''was' witnessed by Few of my friends and family. I was very upset as you had already mentioned about the sausage rolls but you would not leave it after I had acknowledged your request. I feel that running the coffee cabin next to the crematorium you should be aware that many people who attend your cafe are deeply upset over a loss of a loved one. I am asking you to please have some empathy as I have already said, you may not think you were verbally aggressive, I perceived that it certainly was. Although my sister and my father 'thanked you' even I did As you know this was done out of respect manors,Ref Sister At End Thanking You Again Still hostile again at the end. Father wasn't aware until later comments.

Wonderful little cafe with a warm atmosphere. Reasonably priced food and drink and great service. Staff are very welcoming and chatty. Will definitely stop in if I'm in the area again!

Lovely cafe with lovely staff. Very jolly and caring. The cafe is always very clean and tidy. On this occasion I didn't have anything to eat however, the cakes look delicious.

We spotted this place on google maps and to be honest thought we had got it wrong when it led us to turn into Taunton crematorium! Actually it was not wrong and the coffee cabin is a delightful little place in the grounds with an amazingly kind and pleasant owner and staff. The food cakes and drinks were great The place was packed with people visiting the crematorium for services but the owner clearly has regular customers not there for the obvious reason. Thoroughly pleasant experience once we got over the slightly unusual setting.
