Visited today for Sunday Lunch and I must say we out a lot on a Sunday but this place takes the lead. Fantastic Prawn Cocktail starter very tasty and plenty of prawnsBeef cooked as per the menu Pink with an amazing selection of tasty vegetables, carrots parsnips root potato mash and roast potatoes and delicious red cabbagefor dessert a cracking cheese board with 4 cheeses and chutney.Absolute delicious gourmet food without the gourmet prices. Cannot wait to return.Staff friendly and attentive with plenty of attention for drinks.

Highly Highly recommend The Coach House for fish & chips. Besides the food the service was outstanding as well. Will eturn.

The waitresses were wonderful and accommodating, very friendly! The bar staff made an amazing soya vanilla latte for me and even brought me sweetener rather than sugar on my request. I had the maple bacon pancakes and they were amazing, I personally prefer my bacon a little bit less crispy but if you love crispy bacon you’ll love these.

Every Sunday my mother, sister and myself eat out and have a little competition who can find the best place to eat out.Today was my mothers choice and she chose the coach house .2 of us had the belly pork today.and 1 had the pie.The belly pork was nice with the crackling on. .The pie crust was a bit thick and the filling didn't have a great taste.It was nice , a little over priced and the waitress service was slow.We rate each place we eat at out of 5 and this got a 3..The meal was filling and we did ask for the desert menu but it never arrived., so I cant comment on thatIf the waitress service was quicker it would have got a 4.I have been told that if you leave a tip , the waitress dont see it, I cannot confirm if this is true or not.The waitress staff did not wear masks and I was a little dissapointed in the covid awareness, it seemd to relaxed in these times

Service 5 star food top quality and excellent choices for drinks both alcoholic and non can recommend the cocktails and the fabulous Sunday lunch thank you

As in the title, everything was great.. food done to perfection.. friendly staff.. busy, but nothing was to much trouble.. not the cheapest, but was well worth it..

Have to say I have never had to give such a bad review. We arrived 15 min early so checked in and went for a drink outside . Drinks took 30 minutes to arrive and although we were all getting a bit worried we were ok as we had checked it . Went into the restaurant at 7.45 to be told our table had been given away . I told the member of staff that we had checked in but she literally called me a liar , another lady arrived and realised the owner had actually checked us in . We were then told to go sit in the bar . Finally we got a table , ordered our food at 8 pm but the food finally arrived at 9.10 . The food was delicious but the the service was the worst we have ever had , we would never go to this venue again due to the service !!!

Had a family meal here whilst on holiday at Thorpe park haven, food was amazing, staff lovely, would definitely go again. 5 stars ⭐️

We visited this place when we asked for a table it was like. Choir for the older lady working there she also said did I want to put my son out of the way whilst he was asleep which was way out of the way of my sight which I think is wrong to ask me to put him under a big tv in a place he doesn’t know. When we did get seated I asked where to put my pram where it wasn’t in the way the girl said not there and walked away which I find very rude. We asked for two high chairs and that seemed again like they couldn’t be bothered it was an effort for them to get. It took over an hour for our food and when it came a portion of chips didn’t come that was ordered and also we asked for no skin on the fish and it came with skin on. So we asked them to take it off now this was done but we had to wait another 5 minutes for the food by this time everyone else’s food was going cold not to mention when the fish and chips did come out the rest of the food on the plate was cold. We also ordered 3 cocktails it took 40 minutes to then realise the waitress hadn’t even give the bar staff our order so we was without drinks through our meal even though we ordered them. The only person that seemed welcoming is the pregnant lady. That place must be an awful place to work as staff all seemed sad and looked like they hated there jobs.

Friends who live locally and have dined here for Sunday Lunch booked a table for the 4 of us on Sat lunchtimeService was swift, great selection of dishes incl vegan.We had salmon salad, steak and ale pie, roast chicken and a burger. Definitely recommend this restaurant for the ambience, staff friendliness and quality of food

went for evening meal, order taken quickly food arrived promptly vegetable and sides where really nice, we both ordered Rib eye steak (medium rare and medium) both steaks where tough and difficult to cut the medium steak we had requested was very rare and the medium rare was about right. when we complained the sever told us that's the way it is. cheap steak at premium price. beware.

Visited today with a large family gathering but had to leave when challenged about not wearing a mask. As someone who suffers with chronic asthma and exempt from mask wearing I find it disgraceful I’m not even allowed to use the toilet. Last time for me Go woke go broke.

So so so impressed with the food here yesterday. Booked into the restaurant, kids food was good but adults was amazing. Had Lincolnshire lamb cutlets with couscous and was stunning. Interior is lovely. If in the area, I would return. Fantastic service

Visited with family for the first time since beginning of lockdown. One of our party had a particular dietary request and the staff went out of their way to make sure we were accommodated . We will all be returning and recommending you to family and friends.

Food absolutely delicious but very slow service with everyone having set tasks they couldn't deviate from! Took nearly an hour for us to receive our main courses.

Wanted to write a good review for the Coachy it’s brilliant food, atmosphere is always great. Drinks are good. All round nice place. Would recommend anyone to go!!!!

My wife and I both had fish and chips. The food was delicious and the service from Mikey, Brook and Tracy was excellent .

I actually meant to book the sports bar but thought I would still attend anyways (never been before). Staff were more than amazing , food was great and my daughter had a great time especially enjoying the mocktails. We were mainly looked after by Mikey who is a credit to the team. Will definitely return!

We eat here often, the food is lovely, great selection of cocktails never had any complaints however after having lunch in the restaurant yesterday we returned home and noticed on the receipt we were charged 10% service charge. I don't think this should be added this is an American custom we have minimum wage in this country so we should only tip if we feel our server went above and beyond to make our visit good not forced to tip. So if you order a meal that's is £22 remember the extra 10% they add on.

We have been going here for years we always love the food and service 3 of us went for tea yesterday and as usual food was brilliant we paid and left enjoying our food and drinks but I realised this morning they have introduced a 10% service charge to the bill automatically we were not told of this when we got our bill we are always happy to leave a tip for good services but this is a joke it's not America guys a tip is earned for a good services and down to the customer to do not you lot to take it and expect it that to me you might as well of just put your prices up 10% just disappointed penny pinching.

This is a strange review because the food was excellent, the rest of the staff were excellent, but our whole experience was dampened moments after sitting down.We were out for a belated 75th birthday and had been looking forward to it for weeks. We were seated by a lovely waitress who took our drinks order, then we asked to order food and were told someone would be over shortly, we realised there was only one gentleman ordering food. Within our party we were discussing the fact that covid restrictions had changed everything etc, then one of us commented that there were 3 waiters standing at the bar waiting and that we couldn’t understand why they weren’t taking our order. This was a conversation between ourselves, not a complaint in any way, merely an observational conversation. With that the waiter in the grey waistcoat (who we assume was the manager) darted to our table and rather assertively told us “I know how to run a restaurant ‘darling’, I’ll take your order when you’ve got your drinks”. To say we were taken aback would be an understatement. He was informed that we were having a private conversation and we were entitled to our opinion (which was observational in the beginning, not derogatory), he carried on telling us that he knew how to run a restaurant, and then walked off. This was a birthday celebration, of which the mood was now ruined as a result of the unprofessional and condescending way in which we were spoken to. Upon returning to take our order this gentleman ‘apologised’, but continued to disregard the fact that we were conversing between us, telling us he knew how to run a restaurant, and referring to us as ‘darling’. The apology was clearly a formality and in no way sincere. Had it not been for the fact that bookings are essential at the moment we would have left there and then.What should have been a celebration turned into a sombre affair after being chastised by a waiter who heard half of a conversation and took it upon himself to be rude and unprofessional. Again, every other member of staff was outstanding and couldn’t have done enough. The food really was top quality, but the damage had, sadly, already been done and our night as very much tarnished by the unprofessional manner in which we were addressed. Perhaps if the gentleman had heard our previous conversation regarding how difficult it must be for staff coping with covid changes, and our questioning between each other of how the ordering system was working as a curiosity, and been professional in his manner and explained this to us rather than being mildly aggressive having heard the tail end of a conversation, then we would have had a more enjoyable evening.So ultimately, excellent food if you want a decent meal, great waiting and bar staff, very poor levels of professionalism in part.

We called in on our dog walk, the dogs were made just as welcome as us in the terrace area. We were very impressed with the outside space, the terrace is partially covered and the tables that aren’t covered have parasols. The staff were attentive, efficient and friendly. We ordered food and thoroughly enjoyed what we ate (nachos and the baguettes). We will be returning again, thank you.

Booked an outdoor table and had a delicious meal (as usual for the Coachie). Staff are very busy & hardworking but the bar service was a little slow. My wine didn’t arrive until I had finished my meal unfortunately.

Had a takeaway last night which came excellently packaged and on time. Fish cakes and prawn cocktail to start and braised beef with veg and chips for main, all for £37 delivered. Excellent service and will definitely use again when we are out that way.

The perfect place for a date night or family meal. Super friendly customer service and amazing food! Would definitely recommend!!

Walked up and ordered. Menu available online. Enjoyed burgers with lots of trimmings, a well presented and tasty kebab, chips and an enormous coleslaw for £20. All freshly cooked.

Thought we would try a Sunday dinner today and we was so happy we did. Delivery driver was so polite and the food was amazing and so well packed! Will definitely be ordering again. 5 stars

Outstanding food tastes the same as when the restaurant is open , will be pleased when things return to NORMALITY and we can sit in snd eat our food , with lovey staff who cater for all our needs

Treat ourselves to the fish and chips.. everything was lovely.. delivered bang on time by the lovely Dawn. Tasted just as good as when we’re sat in the pub. Can’t wait to get back to the coachy x

Due to Tier 3 restrictions, we thought we'd try and support local business and had a late lunch take away from the Coach House (Dec 2020). We ordered & paid over the phone and booked a pick up time. The food was carefully packaged and laid out like a plated roast dinner in the foil containers with little pots of gravy and the Yorkshire puddings in another bag. The Christmas dinner pie (all of a traditional dinner inside the pie!) was a big hit. All the trimmings had been done carefully including the brussels being cooked with lardons and chestnuts. I have given 4 rather than 5 stars as the food wasn't very hot and we only live a 2 minute car journey away. Everything was very tasty, well cooked and of good quality. Would recommend. (See photos)

Had a takeaway Sunday roast today, we opted for braised beef with all the trimmings, it was absolutely delicious, huge portion and the beef fell apart, we would order again without a doubt, thank you chef x

Went here for my cousin's birthday meal tonight and couldn't be more infuriated by the terrible attitude of the staff. Having to work out our individual bills at the end of the meal as they couldn't be bothered was certainly an inconvenience that everybody commented on (30 of us) and none of our party was happy about.Anyway this wasn't the worst part, the attitude of a particular girl behind the bar was nothing less than shocking, when we expressed our unhappiness at our party having to work out our individual meal prices (all other restaurants take care of this for their customers) the girl with many piercings and a seriously bad attitude walked away and said "I'm f....king leaving you to it" I couldn't believe what I was hearing and Infront of the party member whose birthday we were celebrating. She wasn't expecting me to hear her but I did and gave her a piece of my mind. If I owned this company I would be sure to let this waste of space go straight away as she managed to lose several regular customers due to her huge mouth and poor customer service skills. Well done to her, 30 unhappy customers.

Booked a table for four and then covid rules changed. So I rang and it was arranged for two table of two side by side. Got there and tables were not as agreed. Asked if they could move them slightly. Started to and then a waitress came up and moved the tables back and said even if the tables were moved we would not have able to talk to each other. Very rude and said to leave if not happy

Can not fault this restaurant. Jamie and the team deliver excellent service. How refreshing to get top quality food and drink. Everything is spotlessly clean, even the wine glasses ! I can honestly say the Sunday lunch is one of the best we have had for a very long time. We are very impressed with how strict they are with the covid rules. It made us feel safe and at ease.

What an amazing restaurant, me and my girlfriend come here all the time for dates or breakfast and meals. The food is amazing, with a lovely selection of different meals, if you get bored of the restaurant food you can always switch it up and do the sports bar which is equally as good!Everyone we come the staff are amazing we are well looked after. Especially by Jamie Loring who is an amazing person and even better manager !Last night we had my girlfriends birthday meal it was amazing. They made it so special for her and she loved it.I think the COVID rules are perfectly fine. They were great with keeping the rules strict and had us wearing a mask when needed which is great. Very last minute I decided to treat my mum to a meal, I managed to book into coachhouse and what was meant to be just a quick meal ended up being an exceptional meal which went above and beyond, not only was the food amazing and massive portions, every single one of the staff was absolutely amazing and really made the whole experience one to remember, thank you for making what was meant to just be a quick mother and daughter and daughter meal such a good experience.

Booked a last minute table for tonight. The service we received from every member of staff was exceptional. The portions of each course were huge, washed down with a lovely G & T and a special cocktail. What started as quick tea out turned into a special occasion. Also loving the new decoration.

Came here to join my mums birthday celebrations with my family bearing in mind it was the first time that I’d been here. I was really shocked at what I’d missed out on. The food throughout the courses just got better and better. Everyone’s meals looked great and we’re all polished off with no complaints. Staff were great all friendly& as for Jamie. What a guy super friendly, welcoming banter and obviously the charm to suit ahaha. Would deffo recommend

I am discussed how I was shouted at and ordered to leave for not wearing a face mask, I am exempt and also showed my lanyard but the manager kept shouting at me and my family to leave so I left crying, I have now reported them for discrimination expect a visit and a hefty fine I will not let this go!!!

Went to the coach house today with some of my family the food was lovely but was very shocked to see that they are now charging a discretionary service charge I refused to pay it which is the diners choice

Visited on Saturday 18th October after booking a table for 1730. Received a really friendly welcome from the staff to start with and then enjoyed a fantastic meal, great service and some absolutely amazing Gins. Highly recommend the place and we will definitely be coming back for another visit soon.

Enjoyed a lovely meal with family, returned home and looked at the bottom of the bill to find 10% had been added to the bill. When did that happen? We always leave a tip anyway so was very disappointed that the meal actually cost more than we thought. We do visit often and are happy with the service but would of appreciated this charge being mentioned

We booked here based on the generally excellent reviews and full car park each time we passed. It’s aesthetically pleasing inside and the staff especially the door staff, are really pleasant. We found the service really slow 35 minutes for drinks and nearly an hour for the first course to arrive, when the place was not full. The food just wasn’t good, edible but definitely not what we expected. It’s not expensive but the quality is poor. They do try to accommodate allergies but the limited dishes they offer imply that food is pre-prepared.

Such a fantastic restaurant with great food but most importantly, fantastic staff. Tayah was great, but Jamie was a delight and made the meal special. Always recommend this place to friends and family!

Had a fantastic meal last night but sooo much! Shouldn’t have had a starter as that was a meal in itself but very good(prawn cocktail). Really delicious mains, polite and helpful staff and obvious cleanliness. The menu was extensive with the gluten free option clearly marked, well done all!

The food was amazing, we had the fillet steak and was cooked to perfection. Liked it so much, we’ve booked for Sunday dinner tomorrow, would recommend!

Consistently clean, good food and polite staff. Nothing too fancy but always delicious food with generous portions. Tables are a nice size so you don’t feel crowded and the decor is clean and modern. If they had a larger selection of soft drinks available that would have been nice as I struggled to select something but that is just my personal preference. Apart from that the whole table was satisfied and no doubt we will be back.

As always Jamie was a fantastic host! Beautiful food, lovely atmosphere at a great price. Always a guaranteed great night!

This restaurant not only does excellent evening food but excellent breakfasts. The food especially the steaks were first class and perfectly cooked The staff were attentive and first class they were constantly there when required Top class

Well what can I say, with everything going on in the world we decided to go for a meal and put up with the restrictions in place. My and Meg decided to hit the restaurant side and it didn't disappoint. The service was tremendous, they've taken all the precautions plus more to make you feel safe but also comforting. We managed to get a table by the fire, all cosy in a perfect ambience.Jamie the manager makes you feel welcome all the time. Such a top man!You will not be let down on the quality of the food,the only down side I had was not having enough room for dessert.Thank you everyone at the coach house!!

We went for Sunday lunch and it was delicious! The meat and the vegetables were all cooked perfectly, making for a lovely meal! It’s more pricey than some of the other restaurants/pubs in our local area but it’s definitely worth it for the quality of the food and the portion size! The only very small quibble I have is that the waitress dropped some bread from the sharing basket we ordered on the floor as she was bringing it to our table and we never got a replacement so only had half the amount we should of! But nevertheless I wouldn’t hesitate to go again!

We have had many meals at the coachouse, and they are always lovely.The staff are fab, and you are well looked after by Jamie and Mark.Thank you for fitting us in on short notice when you were really busy.Our only gripe, is the optional service charge already added to your final bill!!

This is the second time we have been here the1st being Sunfay after being allowed to re open, I left the review until we had been again, not that it wasnt great last time, but because it was and I wanted to see if it was how I remembered it.Food is amazing, Hubbie had rib eye and it was cooked as requested and very tasty.I had the roast beef sunday lunch omg the beef was very tender and the veg just cooked to perfection and I am not a high veg lover. We ordered a side of cauliflower cheese to share and again was lovely.The staff are attentive without being invasive, easy to book online but if you are wanting Sunday Lunch I would suggest booking way in advance as I booked last Sunday and the times were already limited.Nothing I would change we will be back

Incredible food- we had the beef platter sharer. The amount of meat you get is crazy, great value for money and absolutely delicious. Amazing service; felt so safe during these unprecedented times, truly looked after by manager Jamie attentively. All of the staff were super friendly too, a great team. Looking forward to visiting again

Never again will my family frequent The Coach House or Jack’s Bar. We booked a meal for our daughters birthday this evening for 4 people. Upon arrival we were taken to our table. Then, and ONLY then we’re we told that as soon as we move from our table, whether that be for the toilets or anything WE HAVE to be wearing a face mask. I informed the waitress that I was exempt to which she asked to see my card (which is against hse regulations), I showed my card. She then came back to inform me that THERE ARE NO EXEMPTIONS ALLOWED!!!So their company policy not only breaks every equality law in the UK, it is also breaking discrimination laws too. I have never been so disgusted and insulted. I will be reporting their so called ‘policies’ and looking forward to how The Coach House deals with such clear discrimination!!

Discovered this place earlier this year and is truly amazing it’s 45 minutes from my house yet Iv been 3 days in a row the steak is the best Iv ever tasted the cocktails are amazing and to top it off the manager Jamie always goes out of his way to seat us and make u feel like your at home worth goin just for his charm

Perfect. Came here on Monday 28th of September with my partner and his parents. The place adhered to the latest Covid-19 regulations and was spotlessly clean. The service was impeccable. And the food was honestly the best food I've eaten in quite some time. Portions were generous and they had a full vegan menu for me to choose from. All of us left satisfied without any constructive criticism to suggest. An exquisite place where it is clear that customer experience and food quality is paramount.

First time here, taken by our son and his partner who have been before. Was surprised at the size and quality of the restaurant. Plenty of space for Covid mesures. The service was very good and the food was excellent. We would highly recommend to anyone. They even have a good selection of vegan food available.

Absolutely love this place we go at least once a week to eat in either the restaurant or sports bar. Anything off the menu is just out of this world. The steaks knock miller and carters over priced rubbish out the game. The drinks available also brilliant weather it be beers,cocktails or even coffee if you dont try this place your truly missing out on a hidden gem of a place. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Does get busy so maybe worth booking in advance if u have a family

We went here for my birthday the food was excellent and good value for money the young waitress was very friendly but not all the staff were the same which was a shame because it is a little off putting

All five of us had a starter and a main course with drinks. The fish and chips was up to its usual best and the vegetable wellington and salmon were really tasty. Our son and his partner are vegans and the new Vegan menu really impressed them with the variety and this is from a couple who regularly dine in numerous London eateries where they live. A really lovely evening with drinks at a reasonable price for the quality of the food. Jamie and his team could not do enough for us and were very attentive to make the evening perfect

The breakfast doesn’t match up to the rest of the meals! We love the coachy BUT have to say first and last time i will ever eat a breakfast from here, we come for dinner every Sunday evening without fail and thought we’d try the breakfast, but it wasn’t good at all.

We were both really worried about our first experience dining out since lockdown. But the Coachhouse had measures in place to alleviate our worries. The service was impeccable and the food was absolutely delicious. Haven't got a single negative thing to say.

Traveled 45 mins to come for a meal for our anniversary last night and when pulled up I was impressed as the car park was full. That’s where it ended I’m afraid. Was shown to a table and just left . Drinks took ages to come and we ordered a cambers sharer to start which was £14 where they got that price from I don’t know but it all inc the bread tasted the same over powering of rosemary it was inedible. I opted for the fillet steak with beef dripping chips steak was tough and the chips were like chip shop chips , not sure what the beef dripping was but didn’t taste of anything to me. My partners burger was dry and covered in cheap sauce and to be honest for the money quite appalling . Anyway roll on puddings chance to redeem an awful night , asked for a dessert menu then it honestly took that long we just went home . £85 down the pan and the worse anniversary I’ve ever had . Cheers

My wife and her friends visited this restaurant for her Birthday. The attitude of staff is extremely poor and rude. Especially when the bill came and my wife and her friends asked the waitress to split the bill. The waitress extremely rude and asked several times how much the split was, this question getting louder and more aggressive. I was shocked as normally this is a very polite restaurant. The food was good but has gone done hill in recent months, the King Prawns are consistently overcooked now and items are often missed from the order. We won’t be going back until the attitude of the staff improves.

We decided to eat out on Bank Holiday Monday, choosing the Coach House to take advantage of the Eat Out to Help Out Government scheme before it ended. I booked online a couple of weeks before having heard from friends that the bookings for the restaurant were getting full on the Mon-Wed so I was pleased to find a lunchtime slot on our chosen day. We arrived and were greeted by the two members of staff at the till and shown promptly to our table. Drinks orders were taken and delivered quickly. We chose to enjoy 3 courses and a lovely bottle of wine. The food was hot, very tasty and the portion sizes were very generous. The staff checked a couple of times if all was well.Overall our meals were delicious - fillet steak, ribeye and a burger all cooked as requested and the fish & chips were good too. The atmosphere in the restaurant was we felt so much nicer now it has been redecorated. The room is lighter and brighter (an old complaint was that you couldn't see what you were eating!) The staff were all very polite, efficient and approachable and happy to explain the menu. The manager came over to ask if we were enjoying our meal, a nice touch.The Coach House offers very good food in a lovely location (ok within walking distance from home helps) it's not the cheapest place to eat in the village but it is one of the best in the area.

Outstanding service!! We walked in with no booking and was quickly seated we had menus given straight away and had drinks in front of us all in a matter of minutes! The food is soo tasty and good size portions! The waiter we had was excellent he couldn’t do enough for us so a massive thank you to Kieran for looking after us tonight!!

We ate here on a Friday, so not part of the govt.scheme, I had a Jacket Potato which was ok my husband had the pie and my daughter in law had the chilli they were all ok but my son chose a burger which was very undercooked, they did offer to make him another one but we had waited almost an hour for this one so he declined. While we were eating no one came to check if we needed any more drinks or any sauces or even if we were enjoying our meals. We will not be back here in a hurry.

Steak cooked perfectly to request. Staff were friendly and on hand to help at all times. Desserts were well presented and very tasty.

The food here has been consistently good for years but unfortunately it has started to go downhill. Visited mid August with my partner and was really shocked and disappointed with the way we were spoken to by the waitress. FYI - it was a Thursday when we visited so they can’t brush this off with ‘Eat Out to Help Our’ fodder. She grunted whenever we asked for something (loads of things missing from our orders so we had to remind her), failed to bring them over or rectify, then complained at us when we reminded her again. She ended up getting very irritated and her tone of voice became aggressive and patronising. I felt so embarrassed as other tables could hear her raising her voice! As mentioned, the order all came out wrong and the steak was cooked incorrectly. Ordered rare came out medium/well. Apparently this wasn’t their fault though. Would not return purely as I would not want to come face to face with the blonde crow again.

I would love to say we got to taste the food but sadly not! The manager had such an attitude to families and people wishing to "Help out" that we refused to stay. She suggested that "we" were taking advantage of the eat out by simply booking a table and protested that she needed to suffer 15 weeks without pay. Apparently this was our fault.So unless you wish to have dinner with a side order of attitude I would not waste your money dining here.

We enjoyed 'brunch' outside in the patio area. Waiting staff worked hard to bring cutlery, drinks, condiments, etc although they were slightly over stretched. Food was good quality largely using local suppliers. There was a slight delay in breakfast but it was all freshly cooked and served piping hot. We had a traditonal 'full English' but the menu had a good choice including pancakes and eggs Benedict, etc. Coffee was replenished at no extra charge. It was a great bargain due to 'Eat out to help out' but I would pay full price as felt it was good quality.

Not been here for a while but have to say the food is still excellent. We took advantage of the eat out scheme so it was even better value. The coronamania level is acceptable, some staff wore masks, some didn't, I didn't care whether they did or not as I'm not paranoid. One thing I will say though, and if management are reading this it's something you might want to look out for. One girl waitress was calling customers guys all the time, not just a few times but to the extent I wanted to just tell her to STOP! I know it a small thing but she was bloody annoying.Anyway would recommend anytime for good quality tucker.

The worst experience in a restaurant ever! And that’s before we got to eat food. Booked a table for 6 plus a baby using their online booking system. On the day, received two phone calls. The first in the morning from the manager/owner explaining that their licence does not cover children after 7pm but on this occasion they will allow it. But only if they were “well behaved” and didn’t move from the table. Ok, I said, not a problem. Bit surprised as marketed as “family friendly”. Second phone call from a member of staff an hour before arrival, leaving a voicemail to say that we are a table of 7 and the guidelines are 7 max. Confused, I tried to call back 4 times to understand what the issue was. Couldn’t get through. Assuming everything was ok, as we were a party of 7, we showed up for our table booking. On arrival I was told that they could only accommodate 6 and not the baby. I asked for two tables instead. Ideally next to each other. At this point, the staff member said she needed to speak to her manager. The manager/owner came to the front desk and informed us that we can only have a table of 6 and “she was fed up with people like us trying it on” and that she informed me on the phone in the morning that it was a table of 6 only (which was not the case, hence the second phone call and also us turning up). Taken aback, I said that she was being quite rude and we surely can find a solution, i.e two tables which then led to a “i’m not rude”, a gasp and eye roll and a full on verbal attack. I was told that I was a citizen of the UK so therefore I should know that it is 6 people to a table. I was not aware that this was the case, and I’m sure there are many others not aware. I believed it was a max of two households, but I accepted not being aware of the table limit and asked again if we could have two tables but instead of trying to assist, she then sarcastically said she would print out the Government Guidance for me. I said that won’t be necessary, I shall look at it later. Apparently I should also “pay more attention to the news”. She then went on to say that she was not taking any risks with her business, which I said was totally understandable and we would be happy with two tables but rather than make that happen she then went on to say that “we had taken her away from her friend she was dining with on her day off”. I of course did no such thing. Her staff member obviously did that as they could not resolve our table dilemma. Personally, I don’t choose to go into work on my day off, but anyway, it seemed to be my fault. This comment was then followed with a peculiar rant about how she had not been paid for 15 weeks and “people like me” are coming in and trying it on when we should know better. Again, we are a “UK citizen and should take responsibility”. Gobsmacked was not the word. I didn’t know what she meant by “people like us”. Was she referring to our ethnicity? Our social status or “class”? She talked to me like I was beneath her. At this point, when she continued to look for a second table, my 11 year old tugged at my dress and asked us if we could leave because of the ‘aggressive woman’. We told her that we would be leaving and never returning. We were recommended this place by a few people and we regularly come to Cleethorpes. I don’t care how nice the food might be, I wouldn’t spend a penny in here with someone like her running/owning it. You come to a restaurant for the experience as much as the food and I can only think the pandemic has hit her hard or that she was just having a bad day but nevertheless, there was no excuse for her poor attitude and customer service. If she speaks to customers like that, I can’t imagine how the staff are treated. I hope they don’t experience the same treatment. If you are “people like us” namely a nurse and social worker working through COVID, a business owner and a journalist all arriving without chips on OUR shoulders avoid this place at all costs. Go to Figs restaurant instead. Gorgeous food and amazing service.

Rude staff especially the owner/manager who spoke to us like we were beneath her. Apparently she was sick of “people like us trying it on” and we should “read the news” when we thought we could have 6 people and a baby at a table, oh and she didn’t mind saying she hadn’t been paid for 15 weeks! Us 6 people and a baby were trying to help by eating out to help out but clearly she didn’t care and has a huge chip on her shoulder. Just to clarify the “people like us” were a nurse, a social worker, a business owner and a journalist- all people who had to work through the Covid times and especially the nurse and social worker who have been keeping us safe!I would stay well clear of this place if you feel customer service is a huge part of eating out.We actually left and didn’t eat here so won’t comment on the food.

Un planned visit, we were told at the door that they were fully booked up however they very kindly managed to find an available table in the restaurant. Staff very quick to take our order and we didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive. Fantastic Sunday lunch, beautifully presented and hot! Staff very efficient and friendly, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely return...we live in Beverley but the distance will not deter us well worth a visit!

Visited the Jax Bar & Grill last night, had a table for four! Atmosphere was good and the service was brilliant! We all had starters and main course and thoroughly enjoyed. I can highly recommend the warm cheese and onion tart and the beef and ale pie! The bill was amazing as we took advantage of the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme! Many thanks to the great team, we shall return!

Great food . I had vegetable Wellington. It was so tasty. It’s so good to get a really good vege meal Family had the mixed grill ... it was huge ! They all said how good it was. Service was good .Tables safely distanced. Hand sanitizer as you walked in . Will go again .

My wife, daughter and I visited on Sunday evening. This restaurant is always popular but to be honest its the first time we have been - it wont be the last. The vegetarian options were fantastic and very tasty. The service was second to none and this resulted in a very pleasurable evening.

The service was great with every waiter/waitress being very attentive and friendly, the food was phenomenal and came out in good timing. Portion sizes are huge and the price is extremely reasonable. Will certainly visit again!

First visit here after many recommendations, definitely did not disappoint! To start you are greeted by extremely friendly/helpful staff whom go above and beyond to satisfy your needs! Then there’s the food... oh my goodness! The word orgasmic comes to mind! A true foodgasm! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for some amazing food with a great atmosphere. All round fantastic time! We will DEFINITELY be back!!!

Went with family for a special birthday on Monday wow it was busy!! But food was excellent and service was second to none. Jamie the restaurant manager was so professional and polite and made me the best passion fruit gin ever. We will definitely be back. Thank you team coach house

Been today for lunch with my daughter and grandchildren, absolutely faultless as always. Food delicious, prompt and efficient service. The staff were very efficient, clean and very professional, excellent place to go, well worth a visit.

Party of 3 adults, one vulnerable so first outing since easing on 1st August. Very large portions and very hot (hate tepid food) and the service was quick, the restaurant was busy for a Monday thanks to the government scheme. Best thing we had was the camembert sharing starter. The air con was very welcome on a hot hot day. A nice treat to finally celebrate a birthday and a wedding anniversary. Jamie Loring was a charming host.

Visiting the area decided to have an evening family meal and choose the Coach House due to its rating on Trip AdvisorThis could so easily have been a 5 star rating the bar and food was fantasticUnfortunately the same can’t be said for customer service - this place doesn’t want family’s to visitThe waitress we had opened oh you have children under 18 our license only allows Til 8pm then a don’t worry we won’t rush - this is before anything was ordered. Nearly walked out but carried onWe requested 3 times the dessert menu in the end gave up paid and left told them service was awful they were not one moment bothered.So food is great if you are adults only group this is a sports bar grill.If you have family with children - don’t bother go elsewhere

This was our first night out post lockdown. We booked a table in the coach house. Spacious restaurant, nice decor. The food was absolutely delicious. Our daughter chose from the kids menu and ate everything. We ordered the vegetable Wellington and a pea and mint risotto. They were both beautifully presented and delicious. Enjoyed the wine too. We also thought it was really good value for money and will definitely visit again.

Hi there, I wanted to leave a review to say how amazing my experience was today! I am 7 months pregnant and VERY scared about leaving the house due to the pandemic, I haven’t been ANYWHERE since March! So I was weary to say the least about this meal today. However - From start to finish, it was pure perfection!!! I first Booked a table for 2 People, then last minute changed it to 3 people. - No bother they found me another table. (Even though they are Chock a block on bookings they went out there way to add another friend on!) On arrival all sanitising stations are clearly visible, plus floor signage on where to stand at the correct distance. All staff wearing face coverings! All staff cleaning tables, chairs (any area around the table disinfected.) salt peppers wiped, menus wiped. You name it, it’s cleaned before you arrive & after you leave.Food is always brilliant from here, but today the meal excelled again! The steak was cooked to absolute perfection! One friend had chicken which was amazing too! Another friend had the burger which was also amazing! They have a one way system & it is very clear they are taking the guidelines seriously. The main reason for my review is the staff! They were so friendly! And lovely! They definitely made my day! Considering it’s a pandemic.. they are so cheerful to be at work! And absolutely nothing is too much trouble! It’s fantastic service! I would definitely recommend! They are fully booked most of the time and it’s understandable! I will definitely be going again.

I went to the bar and grill recently, it was pretty much full just a couple empty tables. Staff were happy to get us pretty quickly. We then oredered food. It took a little longer to come than I would have liked however this wasn't a major issue. Once the food came I found it distinctly average. For the same amount of money I feel there are many better places to eat. The portion size was very good however. I wouldn't discourage anyone from going, but I won't be rushing back.

We went for the eat out offer on Tuesday 4th. Felt the controls in place were excellent, staff worked well in the heat with their masks on. Staff were brilliant nothing too much trouble. Food was very good especially the Salmon with Chorizo. We were so full but fancied a dessert so they very kindly accomadated us and gave us them to takeaway. Very good especially the salted caramel brownie. We have already booked again

We have a caravan in Cleethorpes and are regulars anyway in the summer but this week we booked for an evening meal and for a breakfast. Both visits were brilliant and the food and service was top notch. Service for take a little longer than usual but we didn't mind waiting and what do you expect at a time like this. This morning was the best breakfast we ever had and all staff were ready friendly. However, I would like to pass comment one one member of staff in particular this morning. He was quite a young lad with curly hair on the top and short/shaved at the sides - he was very polite and professional. You could really tell he likes his job. See you again soon !!

Booked here last minute not sure whether we'd get in, because of the eat out to help out scheme, but they'd had a cancellation. It was busy when we arrived and when the waiter took our order he did point out that we may have to wait a little longer than usual. We did have to wait a little while but nothing stupid. All the staff were helpful and polite and we all enjoyed the food. Hats off to them I say for having to run around silly with Masks on and still do a good job !!
