Total rip off!! Ordered 1 lrg donner kebab and 1 lrg chicken, hardly any meat whatsoever, I've noticed they have started compensating the chicken for grilled vegetables. If I wanted a vegan kebab, I would of ordered one!! All for the great price of £25 nearly!! Admittedly, they used to be very good but unfortunately, like most businesses, they've shot themselves in the foot through greed!! Bye bye Kebab House

Quality shocking, overpriced and cheap ingredients! Gone down hill, garlic yogurt has been changed and kabab boxes have shrunk so less food for your money. Could never finish a kabab years ago and now need two.

This used to be my number one go to place to eat but just lately they’re chips have been absolutely disgusting! And pizza is burnt 🤦🏼‍♀️ if it doesn’t improve soon a long term customer will be lost

Ordered two kebabs from here for me and my wife. Took the order and my address as soon as they put the phone down they sent me a text saying I could pay online followed by another saying that the order had been cancelled. The excuse being that they can’t deliver that far being 5.6 miles away. Why take the order and then send a text straight after . If they had rang me I would have probably gone an picked it up. No more kebabs for me

Placed an order and paid for it in advance. After my order was not delivered by the stated time I called the restaurant to ask for an estimated time. The rude and unprofessional lady patronised me and said that I hadn’t ordered it from them. I kept trying to explain to her that I had ordered it from them, I had paid for it and received confirmation. She wouldn’t listen and kept telling me that I was wrong and they’re busy. While she was on the phone being rude to me the delivery did arrive so obviously she was wrong. She offered no apology. The food that was delivered was cold and soggy so goodness knows how long it had been out for delivery. Certainly would not recommend using this takeaway until they train their staff as they clearly do not know what they are doing and have not customer service skills.

Well...I last reviewed this establishment in January 2019 and what a change from then! 4 x Donner Kebabs 1 x Special Kebab 5 x chips. The delivery arrived on time but on seeing the boxes, they were absolutely swimming in grease and garlic sauce and along with the salad in plastic packaging rather flavourless. The 1 star I gave was for the chips, which we did enjoy. Sorry Kebab House, but not your usual standard at £40...loads went in the bin. We won't be back in a hurry and not recommended.

Called in for a House Special Kebab which was lovely. - lamb, chicken, donna and kofta. They are very busy now with deliveries but my meal was ready within 10 minutes. Good quality meats with hot pizza. Salad could have been better- its more of a garnish. Efficient and friendly service. I am very surprised at the number of recent poor reviews. Prices have gone up but havnt they everywhere?!

Always loved the kebab,but ordered last night only thing decent was the raw cabbage ,so disappointing will never order from there again. Chips were soggy ,lamb was soggy and dunt taste of lamb ,the sauce was just squirted over everything and was tasteless .Hubby had Donna and said it was greasy and tasteless total waste of over £20

Worst I’ve ever ordered. At first only half of our delivery arrived. The chips where at least 3 times fried so really dark like mush and swimming in fat. So much so that it had melted the box they where in and the oil was through the box. A good half hour later the full order was re delivered. The kebab and the chips arrived totally swimming in oil it was through the box and the bag so consequently all over our work tops. The chips where inedible. Really disappointed

Absolutely terrible then if you would like a salad of cabbage with a very small slice of tomato and two slices of cucumber all raw then this is the place for you if not avoid The special kebab was rock hard terrible is not the correct word it’s beyond belief this was once the best place in Cleethorpes to go to now is the best place to avoid

4 uncooked meatballs on a delapedated what they called a pitta ordered a special kebab and that is what turned up what a pisstake will add photos the kebab House if I wanted meatballs I would of ordered Italian would not order from this place they do not know what a kebab is !!!waste of money

Having worked at this place over 30 years ago with the original owners Nick the Greek and his entourage Cheryl Dawn and pat Looking after the restaurant side and a regular customer since those days I have to write to say how disappointed I am The food has always been the best in Cleethorpes and weekend queues would stretch till 2 o’clock in the morning . Since nick sold the restaurant it’s clear he took all his secrets with him because the food has deteriorated so much. For one please can we go back to the original recipe for the special kebabs the recipe that Nick brought to the establishment back in the 80s .. From making them in the back kitchen I know for one the parcley is missing Plus the onions and the main kick of the kebab which came from the cayne pepper seems to be substituted by Curry powder for some bizarre reason . The chips should be double cooked, The lamb cutlets should not be cut into tiny little pieces but served as a full cutlet just like they used to be . The secret lamb donna recipe reserved for the kebab house seems to be substituted for the same ingredient you can pick up in any High Street kebab shop, The chicken kebab should be known how long to cook without slicing into it and letting it dry out same goes for the lamb shish . Please can we just go back to all the original recipes and cooking techniques it will be such a shame to see this takeaway become any old High Street kebab shop

It pains me to write this kind of review for the Kebab House as I have had many beautiful meals there but I am disappointed tonight. We ordered a mixed kebab and the ratio of meat was all wrong, it feels like it was rammed with the cheapest meat (doner) with a couple of little bits of lamb and chicken thrown in. I should have just ordered a donner kebab. I have a big problem with the salad which arrived. I know it’s ‘just a salad’ but it is part of a kebab. What came was a half full plastic container with one dry piece if cucumber, one soggy piece of tomato and a handful of dry cabbage, onion and lettuce. The cucumber and tomato went straight in the bin and you can see from the pics what we were left with. What happened to the lovely fresh salads that we used to get; the salad that shows on your advert pictures? Don’t put salad as an option if you are going to produce something so poor. We ordered a few weeks ago during an England Euros game and the food was the same but we put it down to being very busy. There won’t be a third time for us now.

We were out having an outside pint in line with covid restrictions at a seafront pub who is currently not doing food. So we decided to order a take away kebab and pick it up on way home. They said order would be ready on 15 minutes. Kebabs were delicious and available at time they said they would be. Staff seem always to be busy but are still friendly. Pricing us top end of expectations but that is reflected in quality of product. Chicken and lamb fillets were very tender.

My first visit to The Kebab House must have been about 40 years ago and whilst ownership has changed over that period they have always had a consistently high quality of food. I am surprised by the poor reviews on TA. I have recently revisited and can only speak highly of that experience. Efficient and friendly staff. Top quality meats cooked to perfection although salad could have been a little better (varied) and needed more of it . I will return.

I am a chef and understand that brioche buns have a longer shelf life that ordinary bread buns, so when my brioche bun turned up rock solid and crumbly that can only mean its gone atleast a month over its use by date after opening the pack. Never again im afraid

Ordered 3 meals from here and they were pure filth. I wish I'd read the reviews before I ordered. They looked liked they had been thrown together by a 2 year old. The chips were refried and old.They went in the bin and I wish I'd have given my money to a charity. The only good thing was the girl on the telephone was pleasant enough.

We placed an order 30 minutes before opening. We was reccomending friends who live a little put of town in Waltham as we have a kebab House often. We have two toddlers and one pregnant woman and 10 minutes before our order was due we received a text saying it was cancelled. Not happy at all. We tried to phone with no answer.

had a pizza and kebab delivered and the pizza looked like it was dropped all toppings one side and cheese when called said would replace so called them back again as I want to get my boy to bed said they was waiting for a driver, its not 1st time this has happened but thought it wouldn't happen again and I asked if they would put something extra for the wait and he was like you got a replacement what more do you want, well not to wait for a pizza show it to my boy then tell him he cannot eat it as some idiot had dropped it, then wait again try telling a 6 year old that, he could of chucked a dessert or even a drink for the boy but no he was like give us the food back we will send money back if not happy

Having used this establishment for a good many years (literally since it first opened) and watched it change hands many times, it has to be said, in my opinion (I can't legislate for others) that the standard of food has deteriorated drastically and that we will not be visiting this takeaway again in the foreseeable future. The food ranged from bland to well over seasoned - there was nothing 'special' about the Special Kebab and the Kebab House Special isn't 'specia'l either. Someone has a heavy hand with the salt! The pitta was limp and obviously hadn't been warmed enough to create a pocket ending up in a split/shredded piece of doughy bread. All in all from the meat and bread being lukewarm and underwhelming we will not be visiting again.

We have just finally received our delivery after waiting 2 hours and 20 minutes. They did not even have the decency to send anything extra for the wait and it was not even great. We usually use Vegas grill and only wish we had stuck to our usual favourite-DO NOT order from them.

Had a lockdown take away meal. Staff very social distancing aware and contactless cards only taken for payment. Top quality chicken breast kebab and a lamb kebab. Both were cooked to perfection and served in pitta with salad and choice of sauce. Fries were excellent- crisp and fresh and chunky. Friendly and efficient service at the counter.

A works meal out.Firstly, the place was empty, on a Saturday night this probably speak volumes.It smelt of dirty old cooking fat, had plastic covers on the tables from the 80s, the floor was slippy, decor old and dirty and there was even a huge hole in the wall that was just left. The service was good and quick and waitress came for out drinks order. Only about 20% of the drinks on the menu were available.... Not a great start.Several items on the menu had just been scribbled out.Starters were OK. The chicken kebab I ordered came with rice, chips and mixed veg.The chips were dry and felt like they had been pre cooked and just dropped into the frier to heat back through. The rice was microwave rice. The meat though was tasty and plentiful but that wasn't enough to make it a good meal worth the £11 being charged.

I've never had a problem with these lads, massive portions, lovely thick cut cuts, and amazingly tasty pieces of meat, with fresh salad and excellent sauces. A perfect partner with 10 pints inside you.

They do the best kebabs and there chips are lovely thick chips and not the thin cardboard fries other kebab houses give you. We use the kebab house at least once a week and the food is always lovely and piping hot and fresh Tha

Clearly can’t be arsed to make some fresh chips for customers this absolutely ruined my meal the kebab meat was nice as usual but you could at least keep things fresh it’s the little things that count, I hate old chips it’s just not the same and disgusting.

we have just tried this place first time last month and wow what great food the wife loves the Lasagne nice good portion and im a donnor fan and i have been eating donnor for 30 years now and this place does the best even all the other places i have eaten nothing beats here it tastes like donnor used to be all those years ago and the best chips ever i am a fussy eater but i can not complain about here and i hope i never have to so give it a try i dont think you will dissapointed

We collected a mixed kebab and fries and we couldn't fault it one bit .The meat was cooked very well and was still hot when we arrived home will return here again

We used the take away and the restaurant. Both superb. Food is freshly cooked. Tasted great. Most enjoyable. Staff are so lovely. Food in restaurant is so lovely . Definitely go back. Good price too x

We always to go the kebab house when we fancy a kebab as we think it’s the best in the area. However, judging on last nights meal we will not be returning. We had chicken kebabs and me and my partner have been up most of the night with poorly tummy’s feeling really lousy! Felt really disappointed with the food. Got loads of chicken, but the salad was non existent. It used to be fresh and tasty and last night was sloppy and the chips were awful! Feel like rubbish today- smart bank holiday thanks a lot

Extremely impressed! Staying at a local hotel while reviewing in the area and fancied a late evening nibble. Ordered for delivery which arrived earlier than advised. Meals were hot and plenty.

Order from here all the time, firstly delivery was told 50 mins took 2 hours had to phone to see what was going on, secondly ordered a pizza platter with no tomato base said this to them about 5 times, order cam as i said after 2 hours, no platter just pizza with tomato, phoned back said we will send you chips and coleslaw hmmm nothing about changing the pizza, couldn't eat it waste of money S**t customer service

Went to the restaurant in the kebab house. Great food. Great drinks. Great staff.husband tried the kebab pizza. He thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the meatballs. Too much for me. I was stuffed. Went back and tried the lasagne. It was so so nice. It is licenced to sell alcohol. .great atmosphere.

I've been using this kebab restaurant and takeaway since it first opened and have seen owners come and go and I have to be honest and say that the current owners/cooks are not the best. It's not that the food is awful, it's not, but it just lacks the finishing touches and taste to the food we've previously experienced. Tonight we had a kebab house special and the meat was ok but the pork and lamb skewers were on the chewy side and the kofte was much smaller than we've had previously. The special kebab was ok but nowhere near the taste that we've had with previous owners/chefs - where was the warming Greek spices? All the kebabs are suggested that they are accompanied with salad but their definition of salad is sadly lacking as it was more of a garnish. One slice of cucumber and one small piece of tomato with a sprinkle of lettuce and cabbage and a couple of thins of onion is not a salad in my eyes. Also basic dips are charged for as extra and the garlic yogurt sauce was so thick that it was very unpleasant Also it was ALL very, very, salty!!! I hope they can up their game and make it the place it once was.

Me and My son went to Cleethorpes for Bowling on our way back home Grimsby and we decide stop in Market place see Tim......We know the owner Tim many years ago when he was working in Kebab house Waltham. Now the pizza they making even better We ask for half and half because Isaac only like Chicken with Cheese and I want it Special, turn out amazing! I am fussy eater but I like to say: I will alway come whenever I around.

Ordered from here many times over the years. It is not often we have been disappointed with our order and wait time however, when we received our food it was cold and we spoke to the store within minutes we had a fresh order delivered and it was impeccable as always and was really hot. We ordered two chicken kebabs as a take away, one with extra salad and one with chips. The food was hot when we got it home, the sauces were spicy and the chicken was tasty and moist.

We have had many kebabs from here we order on just eat .Never again today was your last chance .Kebab tonight was very small asked for plain pitta but you sent garlic .I've ordered pot off chillies because it's just eat I have already paid but never recived them I have phoned and told you also put comment in box .When we first got kebab it was really nice plenty off good meat .Not today You have lost a customer .The only good thing I can say is delivery is very good .

We have used the kebab house for over twenty five years and it was always excellent until it changed hands we gave them four chances and was disappointed with the food every time either order wrong or cold food tried again last week and it was a improvement but still a bit of a way to go

Fuimos en un kebab, el kebab llevó al menos el doble del tiempo que el servidor dijo tan podía conseguir el dinero y luego tome tanto tiempo como él quería. Just had a special mixed kebab takeaway which was amazing and tasted absolutely gorgeous, there was a mix of chicken, lamb, kofta and donner in a pita bread with a fresh crisp salad and mayo and can honestly say 100% would highly recommend and you'd have to go along way to beat. A big thumbs up!!

La última vez que fuimos aquí unos 5 años antes. El estándar ha decrecido y la comida no es tan buena como en todo. Nos sentamos en el restaurante creo que era 10 libras. 45 para un Kebab de pollo con 5 bits - de pollo, una pequeña pila de arroz y patatas. Necesitan a regatear el precio de unas £6/£7 para justificarlo.

Hace poco tuve una cena en el Kebab House en Cleethorpes. Fui con mi familia en la noche del miércoles. Fue la primera vez que voy allí como quería verlo después de oír buenos comentarios sobre él.

Visitamos con la familia por el Día de la madre, y nos recibió muy amable, servicial y complaciente. Un buen ambiente de música y decoración. La comida era increíble y no puedo esperar a volver!

Muy mal estado desde el exterior cuando está cerrado, pero uno de los mejores kebabs que he tenido. Si estoy en Cleethorpes nuevo quieren ofrecerlas regresaremos de nuevo un Kebab de ellos.

Used to be fantastic, now horrible. Food cold, greasy and inedible. Avoid at all costs. Choice of food large, but all tastes as bad. Shame as used to be the best place in Cleethorpes to eat.

The worst kebab I have had in my life. The lamb doner meat was dry and tasted stale. The sauces tasted odd and as it were served in a box the box went soggy so the sauces leaked everywhere.

I have used this kebab house since I was a teenager (quite a while!) and was always very impressed. Good food, excellent service, reasonable prices. The staff knew you and the portions were generous. A real family business.Unfortunately it now seems to have new owners and the place is not the same. Seemingly unnecessary changes to the front of the shop have been echoed in the food and service. We have not been disappointed with the temperature of the food as some reviewers but certainly with the quality of the kebabs. And we miss Adam!We will keep using but sporadically. A great shame that a Cleethorpes gem has become mediocre at best.

Small portions for high prices and appauling service will never go again. Visited here once and it was bad but i gave it another chance but no improvements.

My husband and I stumbled upon this little gem whilst desperately seeking food at 10.30pm on a Bank Holiday Sunday evening. We were pleased we braved the chaotic market square with it's stumbling drunks, loud shouty teenagers and horrific music blaring out if every orifice as I remembered that there was a good kebab place from previous experiences and it was only by chance I spotted the door to the left of the counter which appeared to lead to the back of the takeaway. Feeling brave,I opened the door and prepared to be met by a frenzy of drunken revelers stuffing greasy kebabs and pizzas into their mouths but was pleasant surprised to find a calm, barely populated establishment instead. My husband followed reluctantly having seen the front of the shop. We were greeted almost immediately from behind the counter by a pleasant lady who promptly brought menus across to us and offered drinks. Despite being a kebab shop, we were pleasantly surprised by the menu which appeared to offer a much wider choice such as mousakka, specialist Turkish kebab plates and dips with flatbreads. We opted for a garlic bread with cheese to start with in an attempt to quell our hunger quickly. This was a deliciously greasy garlic pizza smothered in a mountain of cheese! This would've done the two of us as a main course but as we'd already ordered our pork kebab plate and mousakka mains which arrived shortly after and were also very nice, although my mousakka did not have the promised potato within it and the lamb mince was actually lamb meatballs. Bit messy to look at really but still very nice. We would certainly visit again on the hunt for food at a late hour when the options are limited elsewhere.

Got served the wrong meal by the dark haired waitress who wrote down my order wrong. Not bothered as long as its sorted! However she proceeded to argue with me that I was wrong. When I asked if she was seriously going to argue it with me, she said the same thing to me! So I replied yes, I'm a paying customer! She then proceeded to storm off and we were never offered an apology. Disgusting attitude! Been visiting the Kebab House for 20 years, but never will again. Shocking establishment at the minute, and the food has gone downhill too.

I'm gonna keep this review short and sweet. I used the kebab house a few times, sometimes drunk, sometimes sober and every time I ate a kebab from there it was incredible, it was a really big step up from your average kebab. I haven't eaten food from there for a while but I hear the good food is still rolling, so if you're in need of a kebab I highly recommend these chaps!!

Been many times. Good Greek Grill. Snug and a tad dated in its decor, the food is great and the staff go out of their way. Pity about the location.

Got takeaway special kebab the meat balls over cooked and tasteless, chips not cooked correctly half where nearly raw. It's very sad to see how this once great kebab house has been reduced to this poor state of affairs. That's the last time I eat from this place.

Six of us booked a table for 9/5/16 waited 40 minutes for starters and then had to ask where they were. Main course served 3 of us and then had to check what the other 3 meals were that we ordered. Shocking service. Complained but we're just told they were busy. Why take bookings if they can't cope?

The restaurant itself is behind the takeaway section and is a little dated. Needs a bit of an update. There were only 3 other tables of people inside when 10 of us visited. Service was efficient and friendly. Our drinks order and food order was taken quite quickly and the food arrived at the same time. No one was left waiting. We were given two Garlic breads on the house as a starter whilst our food was being prepared which was a nice touch. The food was all of a good quality and portions were of a good size. All in all a decent meal which for a Kebab house could only be improved upon by the inside being updated. Price as expected and not expensive.

Another reviewer said the Kebab House wasn't as good as it used to be, and I'd agree. Its never very busy, and its not enjoyable eating somewhere that's nearly empty!It certainly has a " Greek / Turkish" feel about the place, but its tired looking not having changed for so many years. A few photos, some fake grapes on the ceiling !.......anything to give it a lift would be helpfull to improve ambiance !I ordered sheftalia , which Ive eaten here many times in the past. Its wasn't as good as it used to be. Its a spicy meat, but it didnt have much spice in as far as I could taste. Chips were nice, but the salad wasnt as good as it used to be either!I think they need to improve the food, and the decor, otherwise its questionable how long they might be able to afford to kee the place open!

Always been my favourite place for a kebab until it changed hands, really didn't enjoy our food like before, the chicken tasted cheap and soaked with marinade, before it was a good grade chicken breast without the marinade, such a shame as the Kebab house has been around for a long time.

ordered a donner kebab with chips salad,sauces and garlic mushrooms to be delivered. took over an hour to come and was cold on arrival and salad was missing.I rung to say salad was missing and they said they would bring one out to me ..... it never came. Most dissapointed as have always loved the kebab house but puts me off ordering again.

We have been going to the kebab house for nigh on thirty years and have tasted everything on the menu many times. For the past four years we have cut our visits down, only going traditionally on Christmas Eve.Shortly before going a read tripadvisor and saw the mixed reviews as I did not know Emin no longer owned it, but went along with an open mind.To be fair, there was nothing wrong with the food, it just didnt compare to what we are used to. If this was my first visit the review would be totally different, but after 30 years you grow to accept that little bit extra.There were two waitresses on, which was enough as there was only four tables occupied, and they were both very pleasant, attractive and friendly. Unfortuneately they did not have a clue what they were doing.Considering how slack it was the service was inordinately slow, 40 minutes for the starters, 2 calamari and 2 cold dishes. The calamari came without any lemon which took a further 5 minutes to materialize.After the starters we waited 40 minutes for the mains, 2 Kebab House Specials and 2 Rump steaks (blue) The kebabs were fine but significantly smaller than in previous years but the steaks were allegedly cooked rare as that is what the waitress thought blue meant, but were both medium to well done and very gristly. The chips were a great improvement than previous visits though.When the bill came, it appeared to be wrong, but was correct although half the bar tab was not included in the breakdown.All in all it was a great disappointment and I regret we will not be returning.As I said initially, if this was my first visit, the review would have been a lot different. I am not comparing like with like, because the Kebab House now is not the Kebab House we knew and loved, Sorry

Very very busy in the hub of clee last night 10-20 rammed inside the takeaway section waiting for their food ! Chips raw kebab nice a long wait and issues between employees and customers - good for a laugh if your in the city looking for a laugh . Special note : also Sams gaf who owns most of Cleethorpes

I don't think I have ever sampled such disgusting food in my life...it can only be described as mushed up pitta bread mixed in with slop. We ordered a mixed kebab and chips to take away, they forgot the chips and the kebab was inedible. Such a shame as it would appear since changing hands, the kebab house has gone rapidly downhill

My family and I probably pay the Kebab House a visit at least once every couple of months. As other reviewers have mentioned, nothing has really changed in years. The portion size is huge. The quality of all the food on the menu is of a good standard. Nothing fancy, just a great kebab. I always opt for the special kebab. Love it. Great value for money

Called in early on a Sunday evening having not eaten here for many years. Surprised to see that nothing had altered (apart from the owners). Staff very polite and helpful, and attentive without being intrusive.The menu is pretty much the same as it has been for years and provides a good selection of mediterranean food. Portions are large, but slightly expensive for what they are. (around ten pounds for a donner kebab and chips) The dishes do come with a good sized greek salad and when we went every table got a complimentary garlic bread starter.Contrary to some reviews the food was well cooked and presented well.Worth a visit if you like a traditional Greek/Turkish restaurant - invokes memories of the Med.

If you like Chicken that is pink in the middle then look no further. It has been some time since I had visited the Kebab house but having ventured in on Saturday evening I was once again disappointed.... poor service and poorly cooked chicken.... Its a pity as it was once very good.... I will not be going back again

Great food been coming here for years . Lamb kebab excellent , great portions can never eat it all . Friendly staff good atmosphere well worth the money excellent value

in the main square,also has a takeaway,restaurant delightfully retro,had the signature chicken kebab,massive plateful,good chips,salad a bit heavy on the coleslaw but a tiny gripe for a real value for money meal.

I visited this shop for a takeaway last week. I was served by an Eastern European girl. The first thing she did was take out a huge piece of chewing gum with saliva on it and place it somewhere behind the counter. This completely put me off my meal, and although I bought the meal, I did not eat it when I got home. Awful experience and has put me off this establishment for good.

I have been a loyal customer for 20 years and always enjoyed each meal from the takeaway and the restaurant. However it has recently changed over hands and since then it has been truly dissapointing. The food really is awful. Our last meal was the worst with chips not cooked at all, dried up doner and pitta was hard and burnt. The service on that day wasn't great with the young girl serving. She obviously knew a customer and whilst talking together every other word was a swear word. When the previous people were there, they were kind and professional and served you themselves given good turkish food. It's such a shame but we will never be returning.

As the title suggests, it was our first visit for a very long time. We visited late on a Friday evening and it was actually fairly quiet in the restaurant. I'd expected prices to have risen since our last visit. If they had, it didn't seem like they'd risen by much, as I still thought it was good value for money! My son ordered Moussaka. Now I've visited Cyprus (A Greek Island) many times, so have seen and enjoyed many home made Moussakas! This one was easily as good as any that I'd been served in the Mediterranean! My son loved it, and said it was the best he'd ever had!I ordered Sheftalia and again it was large, and very enjoyable. Staff were friendly, we were asked twice if everything was OK too.I told the waitress we'd had a good experience and I'd be reflecting this on TripAdvisor!

Booked a table for 8 people, Friday 3rd July for a family girls reunion. The menu had a wide range of choices ranging from kebabs, pizzas, salads, and delicious moussaka. I chose the Moussaka which was served with real home-made chips and Greek Salad. It was delicious. Other family members chose 'mansize' pizzas, lamb and chicken kebabs served with either home-made chips or rice and Greek Salad. We certainly did not leave hungry. The service by the staff was excellent and friendly and we will certainly return and recommend.

Take away Found the staff really friendly a young attractive girl and an older friendly guy I had a mixed kebab with salad all the meats and my sis in law had chicken and salad and we both had the CHiPS and oh my god glad he highly recommended them as they were proper home made gorgeous chips would pay the delivery from Cleethorpes to Harrogate if they could keep them hot pleasant experience and all salad crisp and fresh

Got 3 kebabs to takeaway tonight and was appalled to see mould growing on the chilli sauce! I'm sickened that the new management can serve crap like this! I demanded my money back and told them I was contacting the health inspector which I already have done by e mail. The rest of the customers in the queue walked out when I showed them the proof. I'll never eat here again

They messed up our order, didn't apologise and then made us feel extremely unwelcome. One of the staff just kept staring at me nastily!

Have used this place for takeouts and restaurant for the last 30 odd years.Got to know the serving staff and retail staff quite well.Last night we visited the second time since late April.Have to say we had noticed a marked difference. Good service, though the food has deteriorated. We both had steak, the Sirloin was thrown on the plate, the fatty side facing the chips, should have been on the rim of the plate. The rump was greasy and salad ... Flat, the chips scrappy, mustard that for years has been the best in cleethorpes has been replaced with burger mustards dull tasting.We were given a complimentary garlic pizza bread on arrival, the tomato paste was very very light on tomato , and garlic non existent.Sorry, we hope the new owners / managers are aware.

They not only got the order wrong but the food wasn't up to their normal standards. Different staff has it changed hands?

I use The Kebab house most months and I have to say the food is exceptional and by far the best kebab in the area. The selection of fresh meats is superb so the extra cost is worth it.The issue I have every time is I make a phone order, they give me a time, I go and they haven't started cooking it. I waited an extra 15 minutes after the estimated time today. Is there any point in taking phone orders??On today's visit I was also asked my order 4 or 5 times which is a little frustrating. I will of course return each month as the food is that good but if the service was better I may go every fortnight.

The food is always nice here and fresh the waitress's are always friendly and the fact they do homemade chips is a bonus the only thing which let's it down is the prices ten pound for a donner kebab when u can pay say 3/4 pound on the takeaway side is a little expensive and that's why I don't come here v often

Popped in last Saturday night and were seated immediately. Nothing too much trouble and the staff very friendly and chatty. I ordered the hummus and pitta bread starter and my husband ordered the halloumi and pork starter. We also ordered a donner kebab and a chicken kebab, which we intended to share, and half a carafe of red wine. Before our starter arrived, the waitress brought us a tomato and cheese garlic bread which she said was complimentary as it had been cooked extra. Nice surprise! Needless to say, we had more food than you could shake a stick at, and when we pushed our mains plate away, the waitress brought us some complimentary fruit - sliced melon, apple and grapes - which was very refreshing. The total bill for the two of us was about £36. The service was friendly and efficient and we had a great night and a good laugh. I felt that we were genuinely welcomed and cared for and we will be returning!

Not our normal pizza shop but decided to give it a go. The kebab was nice with plenty of sauce and fresh pitta. The thing that really let it down was the chips, tasted like they had been cooked and recooked over andover again and was totally inedible! What a let down.

I will make it short and sweet not been here for a while and after this last experience probably never again.Greasy horrible takeaway meal, seemed like yesterdays re-cooked stale chips.WASTE OF MONEY WASTE OF TIME AND WASTE OF A ONCE GOOD TAKEAWAY!!!

What a disgrace used this place for many years ,last two times service and food been terrible gave last time benefit of the doubt, today 5/4/2015 charged £4 over the correct price and then was tried to make feel wrong for questioning the price , will never use this placed again I know people will. Use this as it is a late night establishment for food but check what you are PAYING for THEY will try RIP you off.

We have been coming to this restaurant for over 30 years and we have never had the experience that xxxskfxxx is saying. How can you trust the opinion of someone who has such terrible literary skills. The Kebab House is cosy welcoming and the food is always fresh. They make fresh home made moussaka and lasagne and most people I know like the fact that the chips are fresh not frozen. They have a good selection of starters and steaks and the 'sheep's cheese' described by xxxskfxxx is actually houloumi, a Mediterranean speciality. If you want overpriced nouveau cuisine then this is not the place to come. If you are looking for value for money nice fresh home cooked Turkish food then I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough.

Talked my daughter (11) into having a sneaky chicken kebab while her mum was out working. Well, now all she wants is more!! Very tasty, fresh chicken with good selection of salad (and chips of course). Will be back for more

The first thing that you notice when you visit this take-away is the attentiveness of the staff... Even when they have a queue they acknowledge your arrival and take your order, how they manage to remember them all beats me but it seams to work.... With the exception of the Donner all are cooked to order with a choice of sauces ... Well worth a visit
