The food was excellent, it was hot, tasty and plenty of it, the service was second to none, expensive but you get what you pay for, very pleasant experience

Always good food and the service is excellent 👌🏻. The staff were attentive and made sure all our food for the 20ish of us came out at pretty much the same time.

Food was brilliant. 10 out of ten. The prawn cocktail is the best I have ever eaten . Main meal was perfect too. 👌. I had fish and chips . My partner has steak. I will definitely be returning. My only criticism was the drinks were a bit slow being delivered. We had to ask and remind them.. apart from that everything was perfect

Booked a table for me and my partner, service was fantastic, nothing too much trouble and was never left waiting for anything! Food was lovely, and really good value. Will absolutely be back and explore the cocktail menu further!!!

Came here for my 40th birthday. Food was amazing. Service was great and friendly staff had a nice atmosphere. Definitely come back again.

Decided on an impromptu trip to cleethorpes for a meal and came here as they had vegan options. 😍🌱💚 We ate in the pub side and our drinks order was taken quickly. Fantastic service! 🍸🍺 There wasn’t much on the menu suitable for vegans so we ordered a burger and a chilli. 🍔 🌶️ Both meals were lovely! 😋 They only had ice cream available that was SFV but apparently had run out of vegan meringue. 🍨 Will definitely return and would love there to be more vegan options on the menu next time. 🤞

Food good value, service staff were struggling to cope

Wonderful atmosphere, food, and service. Could not fault it at all. 4 of us dined, I had large fish and chips (elasticated tracksuit bottoms recommend!) The fish was huge! Partner and mother in law had blade of beef, daughter had onion rings and chips. Wine is fantastic, too. 🙌🏻

Just had a meal here with the family. Two fish and chips and the burger options. The fish wasn't up to previous visits I'm afraid. Didn't look or taste very fresh. The burger was greasy and quite tasteless. Such a shame as it's usually a lot better. Also don't agree with the 10% 'service charge' being automatically added to the bill. It's embarrassing to ask it to be removed due to the poor quality of the food in this instance. The lady who sorted the bill seemed quite offended when asked to remove the service charge and then give us our change. Won't be returning.

5 of us went to the restaurant including 2 kids, really looking forward to it as I have been twice before and food was really good but on our visit on Sunday 13th April we were extremely disappointed. We ordered 4 roast dinners one steak. My lunch...I checked with waitress when ordering if they had GF Yorkshire pudding and stuffing as I have had before. She said yes.we have. After waiting more than an hour she brought 4 lunches and told me my GF lunch would be out soon..After 10 minutes she returned with just meat and veg saying they didn't have GF Yorkshire or stuffing. I reminded her I had asked when ordering to which she said well I didn't know then , the chefs searched the freezer and we don't have any .....I said I didn't want the roast without it as that was the reason we went there..I then ordered a steak with GF onion rings , she returned saying no GF onion rings. By this time I had lost my appetite .so had nothing..the dinners that did come all had roast beef of which they all left it looked ok apart from lots of thick fatty gristle but the meat was so chewy the bill was £112 for 4 meals including service charge

Food was very nice but service was not good. We had to ask 3 times for our order to be taken. It took 45 minutes from sitting down to our order being taken. We have been here many times and never had this issue so it was disappointing. Hopefully it was a one off.

Mothers day. So slow service, half an hour at least between starters and mains to desserts. Asked multiple times for items once for water and then again for the bill. Too many booked in at one time staff couldn't cope. Multiple familys turning up and tables not free for them. Food was lovely though so can't fault that.

Family of 9 had Sunday lunch, waited an absolute age before we got our meals, when they came they were all luke warm, by the time I got to the end of my meal the veg and beef were stone cold. They must have been out waiting before being served to our table. Won’t be returning

Use to frequently use and rate this place but booked for a family mothers day breakfast event and they rang after the booking but we missed the call so tried to call back several times during the day but nobody answered so had to call in for them to say they had double booked and could not honour the booking. On the same day my Mother attended with two of my other family members to have there dinner orders mixed up and meals returned. So dissapointed in a place that in the past i have often praised.

Took my wife here to the restaurant for an anniversary lunch - 06/02/25 - and we were both very impressed. It was quiet with a nice atmosphere with the restaurant itself being a very pleasant place to be. The food and service were excellent, my woodland mushrooms on toast with blue cheese sauce and wild rocket was a superb starter while my main course was a chicken and mushroom pie and chips off the specials menu and was absolutely delicious, the pie was large with lots of tasty filling and the chips were gorgeous. I tried some of my wife's Chicken Milanese main course dish and it also was extremely good. Service throughout our visit was outstanding, very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Overall I couldn't fault it and we will definitely be going back again very soon.

The best Sinday lunch in the area....

17 of us went out for a meal, service was good to get all food out and hot at the same time. Food was nice -I had fish and chips and I'm use to having it skinned so it doesn't make it wet in the batter I did want a starter garlic mushrooms but had cheese on them and I have al allergy to cheese, we did ask if cheese could be left off, but was told come with the cheese in them. Would go again if in the area

Really nice food. Good quality meats and everything is cooked just right. Good quality sizes too, we got two Sunday lunches and it’s safe to say we were stuffed. If you’re staying at Haven check this pub out as the food is gorgeous! The older woman who was our waiter was just plain rude though. She made everything over complicated. All I asked was for no red cabbage and what’s in the pie of the day. When I said I’ll order the steak pie instead of the pie of the day as I didn’t want it she huffed and in a shirty tone said “so not the pie of the day then?” If we had a better server I’d have given you 5 stars all round. I was too scared to ask for more gravy as everything just seemed to be an argument.

So been before and thought since we were in area a revisit was in order. Had the prawn cocktail starter, quite stale bread used but was ok just think for £9.95 you’d get more🤷🏻 Burger was just to salty looks impressive but wasn’t great. Wife’s was the chicken flatbread offering which was ok. ( See pics) Tried Madri and Peroni the latter not great. Probably won’t return which to be fair we don’t live locally so not a big loss..

Booked table for a meal before show started. Very prompt service. Good varied menu. I had homemade steak pie with proper mushy peas, chips, meat tender as hell and very tasty with extra gravy. My husband had fish & chips which he really enjoyed. I then had triple ice cream- scrummy! All in all, fantastic value for money and will return. Would recommend

The manager was complaining about my daughter making noises because she was excited in which I was trying to calm her down but the manager said she was being too loud. Poor management will not be returning.

Everything was great. Fish a chips was delicious..

Granddaughter had chicken which was not to her liking (tasted strange).... what she left I took home for the dog. After taking the coating off, I see a lot of it is raw..... that's probably why she didn't like. No response from management regarding this, no communication, no apology, no nothing...... won't be visiting again.

Food was lovely but just wasn’t enough. 4 of us had fish chips and mushy peas…ordered medium fish that was very small and small pot of mushy peas and small pot of curry sauce and there was about 9 chips with it.. my daughter is petite and a size 6 and she said she was still hungry after it..we all were still hungry so had a sweet each that was nice.. service was good with nice happy staff but would not pay over £100 again to come away still feeling hungry.

Grandaughters coated chicken meal not to her liking, so left half. I took home for the dog. Took the coating off and found lots of the chicken was raw...probably why not liked. Management notified (supposedly by staff member...... no response, no apologies, no nothing. The restaurant opposite has now earned new customers

Brought my mum for her birthday 3 of us all had regular fish and chips what a disappointment the chips were hard and greasy the waitress said I've knocked the service charge off I said I wouldn't of paid anyway what a waste of 47pound should of gone to steels

Great food, great service, too many TVs for me but it is a sports bar , will definitely return.

Me and my husband asked for a steak each, mine well done my husbands medium rare. When they arrived we started to eat. As I got more into the steak I realised it wasn’t well done. It was medium rare and my husband had kept quiet about his being well done. We told a member of staff. It was to late by this point I’d already been put off. I ordered a peppercorn sauce and received what tasted like gravy. The chips have 0 flavour. I had to use salt which I don’t eat. It’s not a cheap place to eat so if recommend giving it a wide berth.

The chicken, bacon and mushroom pie was so tasty, chunky chips crispy and fluffy inside. I didn't need the gravy that came in a gravy boat. My friend had the ribs and said that they were delicious. The service was faultless. Not a lot of waiting staff but Adele noticed when my glass was getting low and brought me a new drink. Adele was friendly, courteous and attentive and the food was fabulous. Would highly recommend.

Always brilliant. Booked a table but it had been booked for the wrong night by a member of our party to celebrate a birthday. They did everything they could to squeeze us in on a very busy night. First class. Always made to feel welcome. Food excellent as always.

Went 3 Jan 25 for a surprise 80th birthday for my mother. Food was really good and service was fantastic. The bar staff were great and special thanks to Patty and Corazon who were outstanding and a credit to the team A big thank you for making it a success

Just returned from this little gem. Amazing staff sat outside as we had a dog with us. A fabulous lovely young lad greeted us said he would put the heaters on and fetched my dog some fresh water. We all had the delicious fish and chips was stunning and will be returning in march. Thank you so much for an enjoyable lunch x

We visited as a large group. The service was good, vast menu to choose from and we weren’t left waiting. I had the steak which was amazing!

The Coach House never disappoints with their food and service but the last time i went with a group of friends for my Birthday the lovely Neve made it an extra special evening. She was so kind and caring, making sure everything was ok quite a few times throughout the evening. She was an absolute star and is a credit to the Coach House.

Nice ambiance restaurant with extremely overrated food. Burnt steak doesn’t worth the money.

Rang to arrange table for two. was told only bar available. when we arrived disabled partner was offered a bar stool table, not suitable but no mention of this when we booked. was offered table with normal chairs, but we were told could only have table for an hour and could only have one coarse. Not made to feel welcome. First and last time we will go. very poor service. We went to the Cricket club Highly recommend service and food excellent.

As usual the service and food was excellent with a lovely atmosphere in the dining room. The only negative is the poor condition of the car park. Huge potholes and plenty of them are all over the car park. Really annoying. You would think that the owners/managers would have addressed this by now, as it has been like this for quite a while. Doesn’t do much for a first impression. In fact if I rated the coach house solely on a first impression, I wouldn’t go in because of the car park conditions. Who wants to risk damaging your car for the sake of a lunch.

Coach House and food exalent

Not the cheapest of places to eat, but you are paying for the quality of the food. There is a decent range on the menu to suit all tastes. We have taken visitors from away here knowing we would get a good meal and service. The only downside is the car park is always really full, a sign of the popularity I guess

Offers all you need... great food and drink. Restaurants with one being a sports bar..... great outdoor terraces.

Not a good birthday meal. It took a long time to get our food and when we got it, it tasted cheap and fatty. Also, my £9 Pina Colada took me only a few minutes to drink, because it was mostly ice (yes, It wasn’t blended) . This used to be a good place to eat, but it has gone downhill!

Our meals were excellent! Unfortunately there were three birthday parties scheduled for the same evening. Therefore the noise levels were very high. Wish they had a smaller dining room separately. Nonetheless this was the third time we’ve dined with them and the food was truly delicious!

Had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Coach House. The Lincolnshire Sausage and Buttery mash was delicious. Everyone in our party was delighted with the food. Really nice place to eat, recommended. I'll have to go back in the summer for the beer garden.

Excellent food and service! We visited as a group of 4 on a busy Saturday night and received a friendly welcome from the restaurant manager. We enjoyed a wonderful meal served by friendly and attentive staff. Every dish was lovely, as was the rose wine. Can highly recommend the blade of beef and halibut loin! Generous portions and great value for money. Our evening was rounded off by watching a Beatles tribute band in Dexter’s bar next door. They were a great act and we had a great evening thanks to the hardworking staff and fabulous entertainment!

Didn't stay booked hoping for a quite meal for two the place was like a tex mex in Ibiza not our cup of tea.

13 of us had a meal for my sons 30th. The staff were amazing, the service was perfect and the food was absolutely gorgeous. Every single one of is enjoyed it, would highly recommend

Really nice ambiance. Customer service is fantastic. Every staff member that attended our party of 4 were really lovely, happy, professional (especially with tricky order 2 men in our group wanting beef and chicken together (ridiculous, yes I know!). Excellent wine offering. Prompt service of food in a very busy setting. The only gripe was portion size was astronomical. Really did not need 2 large slabs of good quality bread with soup, one was more than enough. Humongous Yorkshire puddings, and it seemed like half an animal on the plate. A smaller plate with less on it would have been better as impossible to finish everything served. Excellent quality ingredients. The car park is also a hot mess at lunch time we were lucky to find a spot. Certainly would recommend a visit very reasonable prices. Staff were a highlight, so lovely. 4 stars only for food as plates and portions size way too much.

Sacked my sister for being “too slow” and a girl called charlotte has been picking on her since she started. Apparently when she wasn’t there she had no problems but when this charlotte came back she got her sacked and instead of helping her they just sacked her for being “too slowly what a absolute joke you guys are!!!

Steak night was so much fun. I like my steaks rare, and it was cooked to perfection.

First visit, extremely busy, noisy and had to sit at high stool table despite pre-booking! Not overly impressed, food on the expensive side in my opinion not sure why the place is so popular. Car park was a nightmare, double parking so very difficult to get in and out, terrible surface too, not in a hurry to return.

Went today for fish chips and mushy peas. There were two bones in my fish a chip was rock hard and mushy peas had black pea in it. After finding the second bone could not stomach any more. Told the waitress who said there was a disclaimer explaining there might be bones ok one I could have dealt with one but two !! My son is a chef and said they feel for any bones before cooking and have tweezers to remove if any were found you could miss one but two I don’t think so. I had to pay in full for a third of a meal because I didn’t want a replacement I wasn’t offered an alternative meal. The waitress did all the talking as the manager didn’t have the guts to speak to us. They didn’t even give a coffee for good will. will not be going there again

Beautiful restaurant with delicious food & very friendly staff.

Food is delicious and their food is served hot, not just warm or a warm plate. Very nice. Many different dishes to choose from. We like red meat and red wine. And on that note, the only thing we missed was a dark, full-bodied red wine but there were lighter red wines, if so preferred. Very nice selection of red meats and their steak pie is excellent. It contained a lot of meat and was very tasty. There is plenty of parking on site as well.

The restaurant has a nice ambience and a decent sized menu with vegan options. The bar has a different menu, but again, vegan options are available. The bar is very much sports themed, with countless televisions showing various sporting events, which isn't to everyone's taste. There is also a sheltered veranda which is a pleasant place to enjoy your meal on a sunny day. A service charge is added to your bill, but staff explain this and do point out it is optional and shared amongst both kitchen and waiting staff. On our last visit we found the food to be excellent, priced about right, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Booking recommended.

Staff were good and friendly other than the one who was miserable and ruined the experience, took 25 mins to order drinks and there were only 4/5 table in already eating, slow service and same questions being asked multiple times by different members, food was good ribs were nice and soft, pork was nice but burgers were a little overcooked and dry, and didn’t know we were going to be put in the dexters sports bar, I wasn’t told on the phone where I was booking but was disappointed for a birthday meal.

Had the Lamb very much overpriced £22.95 and we are not in America should not even think about adding a service charge.

I might be biased because I'm local ,but we've been customers since it opened 64 years ago and for it still to be serving us just shows you how special the place is 🎂🎉🎈🍷🍾👍👍

Staff very profesional and food , although quite expensive for a pub, was very nice. Must admit £29 for bottle of wine was a bit of a shock. We ate outside on a lovely evening so enjoyed the time there.

Jogoda was incredibly attentive to our needs and requirements, she was so cheerful welcoming and personable and kind throughout our visit. She went out of her way to make sure our experience was enjoyable and memorable she is just a superstar for this establishment. She is an asset to your team.

Tried this place today and wow the steak was absolutely fantastic,,better than Miller and carter's and half the price ,,the ho.e made coleslaw was amazing, so was every thing on the plate,, realy nice staff has well so tipped her .Will definitely be back. X

Effectively a steakhouse menu. Too much sugar in things such as the lamb rump meal. One of us ended up with food rarer than expected. Service didn't really asked how customers wanted their food cooked
