Looks like it's gone .... bailiff's notice on the window, looking through the windows it seems to have been abandoned. A shame because it was a really nice little venue. Excessive taxation will destroy this country....

Started raining and was walking past. Went in to get out of the rain. What a great decision. Spot on ale and lovely welcoming owner. Loved chatting to him. Very knowledgeable and hospitable. Will definitely be going in again even when it's not raining.

The Coach House is an easy place to miss, but if you do, you're missing out on a real treat. Advertised as the smallest pub in Liverpool, but what it lacks in space it makes up for in character. Few tables downstairs and standing room and a few more tables upstairs. But the basic nature of the place really speaks to me and the warm welcome you get is just fantastic. Paddy the owner is an absolute treat, always got a smile on his face and happy to help. Great selection of ales on the taps with (I think) more to be added. Loads of spirit choice a lot of which I'd never heard of but the ones I tried were outstanding. Decent selection of bar snacks (including Twiglets). There's also the outside possibility of a dog welcome. The Coach House gets all the basics right and that's a rare thing these days but it's the people and building that set it apart. And there's a lock on the toilet door. Can't recommend it enough and I'll be back. 7/7

Wasn’t looking for this place and didn’t even know it existed but by pure chance I walked down Maryland Street and glanced in and thought “that looks like my kind of place” And so it was - beer kept immaculately and friendly welcome and loads of helpful advice (including other pubs I should try) for a visitor to the city like me. Small hidden gem that is well worth seeking out.

Great little pub. Friendly staff and patrons. Dog friendly. Sometimes missing out on fave drinks just due to being popular but staff quick to offer alternatives. Fun quiz on Thursdays and special offer if you bring your dog in on a Sunday.

Small but perfectly formed! So glad we stumbled across this little gem. The decor is fresh and modern but it's got the friendly, living-room feel of an older pub. Lovely owner, friendly patrons, reasonably priced selection of nice ales on tap & cans/bottles in the fridge.

Fab little Pub, just around the corner from the Philharmonic - an incredible amount of space upstairs considering that this must be one of the smallest pubs in Liverpool. Great selection of beer too.

Went with my elderly mother. We arrived about 2pm. Unfortunately there was nothing suitable for her to eat on the lunch menu. Asked if they could do smoked salmon with eggs. Young waiter agreed initially then came back and said kitchen couldn't do them. So we ordered a kids fish fingers and chips. The fingers were brown inside and over cooked. She couldn't eat the chips. Meal returned. Got a refund and ordered a tea cake. Delivered with a smear of butter on one side but not the other! She ended up with just a coffee. My ciabatta was okay, but to be fair that couldn't really be messed up! There were no serviettes on the table, no sugars, no teaspoons given with our drinks. It's was a very disappointing experience. On the plus side wait staff were apologetic and I think quite embarrassed. This place has great potential but needs to up its game big time.

Love this place, so sad it only opened just before I moved out of the city! The staff are incredibly inviting and will give you (legitimately) good recommendations for new brews to try. Everyone who works and visits are nice and fun to chat to. Definitely would recommend to anyone visiting Liverpool!

Been here a few times watch the football. It has loads of screens strategically placed all around, good crowd with a good mix of people. Has a couple of pool tables which is great as it's not all that common in pubs these days. Have yet to try the food but I'm sure it is great as well, looks good anyway.
