We came here on a Sunday morning for breakfast, I had the steak and eggs and the girlfriend had the salmon with caviar on crumpets and we both really enjoyed are meals and for the price we couldn’t complain.

Forgettable food and weird, dismissive service. Every dish had something a bit off or poorly thought out about it, like lacking an acidic component, the seasoning being way off, or simply being dull. If you’re a foodie, it will disappoint.

A unique and cozy environment, not too dissimilar to other TK pubs in that effect. Great service, as expected. Very affordable, especially for a Michelin starred restaurant! Food was fantastic, a great variety of dishes of different styles; could've genuinely eaten the whole menu. It's very hard to recommend anything in particular as the menu frequently changes, but the spiced carrot soup with Korean pork & peanut samosa was to die for. Also a special shout out to the hispi cabbage! The booking system (for lunch at weekends) made it very easy to get in.

We were here for lunch with four people and really enjoyed ourselves! Outstanding food, great service and a very relaxed, welcoming athmosphere!

Dropped in today for a drink, wish we'd have booked lunch here. Set lunch menu looked delicious, and I very much had food envy. I had a cocktail, hubby had a pint, both delicious, staff, welcoming amd friendly, also very attentive. Will be going back for lunch or dinner.

Cute and small pub🥰 All the dishes are “tapas” portion Highly recommend the liver parfait, it was very flavourful and the Brioche was toasted perfectly👏🏻 The coach burger was okay, the flavour was a bit underwhelming, the bun was dry. The hash brown was fried nicely tho, also it’s impossible to eat in one bite so it loses the joy of eating a burger The char-grilled cabbage was nicely seasoned with crispy rice crisp on top Sticky toffee pudding was delicious too

By far one of the best dining experiences we have had in all the UK! Fantastic tasty food. Absolutely wonderful service. Can not recommend this place enough. Strongly recommend booking beforehand otherwise you will likely be disappointed just showing up. Do it! Book a reservation and you won't be disappointed with your choice.

Sarah Hayward would be appalled at the service fronting her menu. The dismissive snooty, and intentional rudeness of one member of staff was enough for us to leave (an empty 12pm restaurant) before ordering. Could we look at a menu? (While we wait im an empty restaurant for a table). “There’s one outside” How is the fish cooked? (Me reading the menu that I captured on the phone outside) “Au Chasseur, like it says on the menu” And so on. Best to take your custom round the corner to Piccolinos where you will be welcomed!

We came to The Coach for our 1st Wedding Anniversary and it didn’t disappoint. The Coach has an Informal and relaxed feel inside, not too cramped or noisy. We loved every dish we had, highlights being the beef & Yorkshire pud, roast potatoes, mussels, scotch egg and the choux bun to finish. Friendly service and a place we’d definitely love to return to for another special occasion.

Had a good time here but not without its issues. The “pub” is very nice but also quite small, cramped even. I had what I suppose could be called a chef’s “table”, a seat at the bar sitting right in front of the head chief. I did enjoy watching the staff put things together, definitely a unique experience. The food was good but short of outstanding. Likewise the service was efficient but not what I’ve come to expect from a Michelin restaurant and certainly not warm and friendly. I enjoyed my meal at The Coach and it’s an easy recommendation but I’d think twice before a second visit.

My friend and I wanted to try this place after I watched a review on YouTube and told her about it. We were really looking forward to it and I was really pleased to book our table on the morning of our visit. When we arrived, our first thoughts were that the pub was small but cosy and we liked how we had been seated next to each other. A nice touch, easier to talk to each other. A lovely lady called Sarah served us. She explained how the menu worked and she took our orders. The starter came very quickly, a lovely soup. We ate that and we had ordered two sides for our mains. We had ordered chips and some stem broccoli. The pie arrived, along with the broccoli. I could tell that the broccoli was not particularly hot but that was not really an issue at this time. We sat waiting for our chips to arrive as we wanted to enjoy the whole meal together. We were surreptitiously looking around to see if other diners had their chips and they did. We did mention to one another that we hoped they had not forgotten them and it was then that Sarah came back and said that the chips would be a minute. This 'minute' passed and the waiting staff kept looking at us, then looking towards the kitchen and back at us again. Just then, a man, very red cheeks, who we guessed may be the manager or assistant manager came over to our table and said that the chips would be a minute. I joked 'had they forgotten them?' I then said that we did not want to start as we wanted to enjoy the whole meal and we hoped that the food would not go cold. He then leaned right into my face and said 'Well, why don't you eat it and then it won't will it!' in a very annoyed, rude way. To say that my friend and I were shocked was an understatement! The staff avoided us after this and people on the table next to us saw that something was amiss. Sarah eventually came back, and sheepishly asked us if we would like dessert. We declined. Obviously, by this point we just wanted to leave. I went to use the ladies and when I came back my friend was explaining to the man with the red cheeks how we were shocked at the way he had spoken to us. He then turned to me as I neared them and he said ' Well, she accused me of forgetting the chips. We then left and said that we would never go there again and we wouldn't.

Why do these places lie. Need to book a table and can only do on day booking. I ring at 8 when said but still by 8.10 nobody on site to answer call. Go on line at 8.02 and unable to book as no available tables. Very disappointed as I am only coming to Marlow for weekend to eat here

Food was very good. Service and atmosphere wasn’t good. We sat at the bar for drinks and food, no welcome or smiles from the staff. It was a quiet Wednesday night but we had to ask to see menus which you have to view on your phone. Had to ask for our order to be taken even though there were lots of staff standing around. Smiles at a waiter on the way to the loo with no smile or hello back. Great food, not good service which is a shame!

My friend and I were looking forward to trying the food at the Coach and happy that we were able to book a table on the day for lunch. As we had never eaten there before we chose the set menu and chose some sides as extras. Sarah, our waitress was lovely and explained the menu to us and all was well until our main course arrived, the chicken pie and a side of broccoli, however the chips were missing. We waited for a bit and could see the staff looking over at us and checking the ipad. Sarah came over and said "your chips won't be long". We must have waited another 5 minutes by which time our food was going cold. A man (with a very red face and dark hair) who we assumed was the manager, then said "your chips are on their way". When we pointed out that our food was now going cold he snapped "well why don't you eat it then!" To say we were taken aback was an understatement. After that nobody asked us how our meal was or checked on us. We were planning on ordering dessert but just wanted to get out of the awful atmosphere. We paid the bill and left. On the way out I told the manager (with the red face) how he had upset us and he said that we had accused him of forgetting our chips!! No apology, nothing, we were just dismissed. We will never visit this restaurant again, which is a shame because I have met Tom several times and eaten in his other restaurants and I know he would be really upset by how we were treated.

To sum up: service was good, ambiance of the pub is great, but I was disappointed by the food. The scotch Egg was the major disappointment - it was way too salty and I could not really taste any other flavour. Individually tried the sauce was great - pepper based, but the fishcake part was over salted. For 16 pounds this was a major disappointment. The fried battered hake was on the other hand undersalted and therefore not very tasty. The batter was good but I found weird that it was plated with the paper. The tartare sauce was equally barren of flavour, however the pea “pudding” was great. The best dish I ordered was the broccoli with peanuts - great flavour profile , slightly weighed down by the fact however that some stems of the broccoli was difficult to chew. Overall the service was kind but nothing extraordinary. I was not however offered dessert, only drinks at the end of my meal which I found also a bit underwhelming. Overall I expected a better experience and definitely better quality food, particularly for this price point . Based on my experience I would not recommend the dishes I had.

Really underwhelming.. average food at premium prices and waiters who don’t pay much attention.. and football screens all over the place … wasn’t worth it.

Went for the set lunch menu. Food was cracking, all served by friendly attentive staff.

A world of small plate wonders. We had 6 plates and shared which was the right number for us. We sat at the bar overlooking the kitchen with Chef just infront of us. It was great to chat with chef and to watch the team working behind in a wonderfully calm and controlled kitchen. A unique dinning experience and well worth an evening. Great staff and wonderful food. Mussels a real hit with us both but to be honest it was all really good. We closed out with a couple of deserts to just make sure I was full enough. Thank you All at The Coach we will be back

Poor service. The menu is confusingly laid out, instead of being split into starters and mains, it’s simply divided into meat and non-meat options, making it difficult to order a well-balanced meal. Following the staff’s recommendation, we ordered eight dishes to share. Fifty minutes after ordering — with no check-in or explanation from the staff — only a single beetroot salad had arrived. I eventually had to ask about the rest of our food. We were told that one of the items may have taken longer to prepare, which is totally understandable. However, that kind of delay should be flagged when ordering to manage expectations. My partner politely suggested that given the long wait, a small gesture off the bill would be appreciated. This prompted a visit from the manager, who unfortunately approached in a confrontational and dismissive manner. The resulting exchange was uncomfortable, he repeatedly interrupted my partner to the point where she had to ask him to let her finish. When she calmly explained that his approach had created an unnecessary scene, he neither apologised nor backed down. To make matters worse, he loudly announced to the room that we had asked for money off the bill, and insisted that a 20-minute wait between courses was normal, despite us pointing out that we’d been waiting 50 minutes and it still hadn’t been served. Our food eventually arrived, but by then the experience had been soured. The atmosphere at our table was tense, and the staff seemed to avoid us altogether — no one came to check how the food was or offer any follow-up. When we asked for the bill, the same manager informed us that two drinks had been removed “to apologise for everything.” While appreciated, it hardly made up for his rudeness and the overall mishandling of the situation. In the end, we paid over £100 for an argument — not the lunch we’d been looking forward to. Hugely disappointing.

It is an amazing place to eat. The food was excellent and we were able to watch the food being cooked in the open plan kitchen. A really different menu with some wonderful choices and mixture of flavours. Would love to go back some. All the staff were great and it was fun being able to ask the chefs questions.

Booked on the day for lunch as a group of four friends. The vibe is interesting; the kitchen is open with bar seating and tables which is nice but the small tv screens are odd. The menu is designed for 2-3 plates per person. Service charge is included in pricing of menu. Ordered the rotisserie of the day; pork lion with asparagus, black pudding and some form of purée, and The Coach chips with béarnaise sauce. Pork was tender, flavours were rich, and all aspects were to a high standard. The sweets followed: rhubarb and custard choux bun with white chocolate cremeux. There is a lot that could be said for the dessert but simply, it was very good.

Fantastic food and excellent service. Every dish we had was first class. My favourites were the beetroot salad, the turbot and the rhubarb choux bun. So good. A shame we don't live closer.

Visited for lunch and it was amazing, very friendly and relaxed atmosphere, the food was amazing, all small plates which is my favourite so I get that taste experience. Sarah personally said thank you and goodbye, definitely return in a few weeks. 💕

Amazing dinner at The Coach. Get atmosphere, attentive but not intrusive. Sat on a table rather than the bar…private enough for a an easy conversation and a good size table…hate it when a table for 2 is so small two dishes and the table is full! It was obvious that the team on the dinner service work well together, understand their role, have a great rapport and have an extensive knowledge of the dishes. Great advice on approx 3 dishes per person…assuming you’re going to share. Wasn’t sure it would be hubby’s ‘cup of tea’, but given he ended up ordering a second burger and ate most of it himself, think it was a hit. Every dish looked like a picture and was perfectly presented. Fried hake was delicious and my favourite, closely followed by the muscles. Least favourite was the salt code scotch egg…yes, I know it was salt cod, it it was very salty for us…personal taste. Hubby loved the burger and the shepherds pie. A good wine list and choice of beer as well. We tried ‘Outer Limits’ which was so good we had a second bottle! If I lived locally this would be a regular place for us, as we’re not, we have to be satisfied with a first, but defined not a last visit. Not a cheap meal, but in this case you get what you pay for and was well worth it. Just have to find Tom’s recipe for his pickles…need to make these at home!

Had a fantastic lunch at The Coach in Marlow! The food was excellent, with every dish crafted to perfection. The real stars of the meal were the liver dish and the unique burger—both packed with incredible flavor and cooked beautifully. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a great spot to enjoy a relaxed yet high-quality dining experience. The service was attentive and professional, adding to the overall enjoyment. If you’re in Marlow and looking for exceptional food, The Coach is definitely worth a visit!

Wonderful for lunch. Mazie our waitress explained the dishes, wonderful wine pairings. Will certainly return. Cozy and casual. Superb food.

The menu at the entrance was misleading. I assumed the main meal portions would be normal size, but they were actually served "tapas" style. This means you need to order 2-3 main dishes to feel full if you're hungry, making it three times more expensive than a typical meal at a restaurant. While the starters were good, the main dishes were excessively salty, making it difficult to taste anything. Additionally, the price for a glass of wine was equivalent to the price of a bottle at other restaurants. They display a "Michelin" badge at the front entrance, which seems to give them the impression that they can overcharge customers. I highly recommend avoiding this place! There are better restaurants available at more reasonable prices.

Really great food, lovely people and excellent service in a really vibrant atmosphere - what's not to love? Will definitely return.

Great place with great staff, spoilt by a poorly presented meal and a standard response from the management of the restaurant who didn't care about us after they had our money. Just said they can use feedback to improve for future customers.

The waiters are not very interested in the tables. Portions are tasting. The plate sizes are too small to be suitable for eating the food. Tables are too narrow for seating. The food is delicious. But I guess I don't think I'll go again.

Book the table this morning at 9 o’clock for lunch for Valentine’s Day for me and my husband but got seat at the bar. We wanted proper table that’s what we booked in the morning. If there was no proper table then they should have let us know. Lady didn’t help us out too. We ended up sitting at front of door which was so cold, people kept opening the door. Not happy al all👎

The staff are lovely and professional. I really wanted to love the food but it wasn’t anything extraordinary for the prices and the posh pub reputation it has. It was a winter visit so it was very cold inside - but we had a heater next to our table. Atmosphere was a bit quiet. Not what I expected from the pub but it was pleasant nonetheless.

I am so impressed with this restaurant/gastropub I’m writing this review before I’ve even left. Do not miss this place! Food: Simply. Outstanding. The mushroom risotto was possibly the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot!) and the chicken kyiv was a masterpiece of rich, distinct but complementary flavors in a perfect portion size. Both items have been on the menu for 10 years - and for good reason! Service: Personalized, knowledgeable and passionate. Maizy and Liam in particular were excellent in their recommendations - they hit the mark (and surpassed it) with each dish. Atmosphere: cozy, classic, welcoming and comfortable. Exposed wooden beams, and unobtrusive tvs just to keep abreast of the match I also enjoyed an excellent Nebbiolo, and there’s a small but carefully curated cocktail menu (plus beer obviously), but the food and service really blew my mind! The whole experience was exactly what I needed on a cold winter evening after a rather stressful day at work, and I’m so grateful!

Too many people had told me i would love it, and I finally made it. Salt cod scotch egg...I could have had 3. Had booked a table but secured a seat in front of kitchen. Staff were very accommodating, despite being obviously busy, in answering my questions re the food. The chips were everything I had heard, and the Hand and Flowers was a light and crisp start to a perfect lunch.

The perfect end after a Thames path walk. Not a usual pubs food. small portions of original combinations. My favourites are the mussels and a powerful scotch egg cod. The service is lovely.

Booking open on the day. No parking . Town centre. Michelin start pub. Very cosy. Embleton tapas. Not cheap but a favourite from the Kerridge stable.

Pleasantly surprised and very impressed. I have been critical previously of TK's operations (primarily The H & F - 4 star product at 6 star price) but this felt like a 5 star product at a 5 star price. Lovely atmosphere... great staff. More patient than we probably deserved... Sarah and Liam stood out but all were great.

I brought my wife here for her birthday treat. I wasn't sure if this would be to her liking. I was very surprised as she absolutely loved it. The small plate dishes were of high quality and extremely tasty. Would recommend this restaurant, we will definitely return.

The Coach was an amazing find. The food was exceptional. It's recommended that you choose a few dishes each and share with your partner. The tower burger was the most delicious burger that I have ever had, I had to order another. It was well worth the wait.. Highly recommended!

We have been going to the Coach for the last seven years, always fantastic. This time was also very good, but one dish in my humble opinion wasn’t right. I am Italian and I have been eating salted cod since I was a child, and I know the dish is on the salty side, but every component of the Salted Cod Scotch Egg dish was too salty and made it unpleasant. We tried to enjoy it but we were unable to finish it . The reason I am making this comment is mainly for the answer I had from the lady serving us when I very politely pointed this out . “ Well it is salted cod that is why it is salty . The head chefs answer was , “This dish has won a 2 Michelin Star”, and dismissed me with that comment. I am not doubting the dish is a well thought of dish, but could it be that the one we had wasn’t quite right??? and maybe some how it was too salted ??? This will not stop us from returning as we love the Coach , but I was disappointed in the reaction and answers that I had from the staff. I was dismissed like a schoolboy that doesn’t know anything, with out even trying to make some sort of apology . For instance ; I am sorry you are not enjoying this food , but ….etc.etc. I wish the staff at The Coach a very happy Christmas and a fantastic 2025.

Stumbled across probably the best breakfast I've had. So was driving back from Bracknell came through Marlow. Beautiful town setting went off to find another place Google was recommending and found The Coach thought it was shut but it was open for breakfast. Sat at the bar open kitchen view. I had two coffees, an fresh orange juice which was great. I chose the full English and and was incredible. Comes with two slices of toast. Service was excellent also highly recommend paying a visit.

The food was good but the small plates don’t really work for Sunday lunch, items come at different times and I ended up eating alone whilst my husband waited then vice versa. Table was pretty cramped and the only vegetables on the whole menu was a hispi cabbage. The male waiter who seated us was surly and abrupt, however the female waitress was lovely and friendly. Wouldn’t bother returning.

Had a nice time and enjoyed trying something different. Price was reasonable

Chicken kiev was really good especially the black garlic emulsion and the onion and cider soup. 2 dishes and a dessert each seemed to be enough

Can’t see eye to eye with this restaurants Michelin star. This place is a decent food pub. Definetley some creative foods which did not taste bad, but not great to me. Most of the meat foods were very salty, the pork, Shepards pie, and the coleslaw in the burger. Our whole table kept needing more water because the salt. Additionally we were sat in the corner and struggled to get service 1 or 2 times.

Honest to goodness, the best meal I’ve had in a long time. We really lucked out and it happened to be a crisp sunny autumnal day to wander around beautiful Marlow followed by an epically tasty lunch at the Coach. I highly recommend sitting at the bar so that you can look into the kitchen and see all of the hard work going into preparing your meal. Hearty portions, interesting flavour combinations and perfectly attentive service. Truly exceptional value.

Sharing plates does mean you get to taste a broader range of what the kitchen is up to - which can be a curse or a blessing. Some dishes were genuinely delicious but others didn't really come together, having too little flavour or in the case of the desserts just being overwhelmingly sweet. At a lower price this might have been acceptable but it had the hit and miss quality you might expect of a pop-up, where you might pay half as much. The setting is very cramped and claustrophobic, with the seating crowded around a bar, which takes up about half the floorspace. It's converted from what you'd imagine as one of those front room pubs in a terraced street, which is more suited for standing and drinking. Probably won't be hurrying back.

The environment is comfortable. Service is good. We like small portions of food and we can try different kinds of food during our visit. Brioche and scones are delicious.

We went to the Coach today. It was our 5-6th time there (first time for Sunday roast). We went for starters which were nice but the Sunday roast dinner was disappointing as well as the service. The roast beef was cold and the quality could be better. Across the full lunch experience we were never asked how the food was until we asked for the bill even though i made the waitress aware about the issues, when the dishes were collected. The waitress said she would pass my feedback to the chef. We also had to order the second drinks based on the lack of attention for the main course. The Waiting time between starters and main course was at the limit to be acceptable. Very disappointing experience overall . We will hesitate to come back there and the Tap. Table had a few small fruit flys nearby which was also off putting. We used to love the food & service experience in both places but unhesitatingly it has gone downhill in recent times.

Fantastic experience , amazing food, great service and atmosphere , great value, would definitely return.

We rang up at 8:00am this morning to book a table and were able to book a couple of bar stools. I mentioned it was our anniversary and when we arrived we sat right in front of the kitchen. We picked a number of dishes off the menu and none of them disappointed. My personal favourites being the Coach Burger and Cottage Pie. The staff were very attentive and it was great to speak to them and the Chef. Would highly recommend.

Very disappointed, popped in to the coach in Marlow, fabulous bar area , had one drink, no one else here it’s 5 pm plenty of staff but no one was attentive enough to ask us if we wanted another drink , in the end I had to prompt the staff, such a shame

A pub. Just a good pub.... except that this is the sheep's clothing for a real wolf of a restaurant! Even the chips are mindblowing!!

Good food and service, top end on price point, worth a trip

Lovely inside the pub with booths for two but set on West Street so can be noisy in the summer with open windows. Set lunch is good - chicken pie and Eton mess when we were there, but nothing special. So not sure why it has a Michelin star as service good but the rest of the menu costs up to £33 for a small plate with a small tower like burger at £20 which look unremarkable. Good once but unlikely to come back.

Underwhelming food overall, but what was more disappointing was the rather unwelcoming and unfriendly service, especially from the waitress who gave us our menus and took our payment (although the second waitress was much more helpful).

I have looked over reviews and am very surprised. We felt there was 'no vibe' and a subdued atmosphere. We had a planned to spend 3 originally 4 hours here but the food was not close to what we had hoped. We booked at 8am that morning as theor policy is to book on the day. Creating a sense of urgency! Clever but not required surely! The scotch egg arrived. So small! Then risotto. Tasty followed by prawn baked potatoe at £22 for the smallest potatoe! Ordered chips that never came so asked to settle up. £73 with two drinks. Poor food, service and lack of any atmosphere! Shame, we hoped for so much more!

Stopped here for breakfast on the way to Heathrow Airport. Good food, not cheap, but worth what you pay for. Staff were very friendly and attentive, and everything was clean.

Have been here a couple of time. The chips and the duck parfait (with brioche) alone make a visit worthwhile. The waiting staff is super nice and pleasant. However, have been surprised by the inconsistency in some of the dishes. For example, the cabbage dish which was very good in the first two visits was undercooked in some parts. It's disappointing because when they land the dishes, the restaurant has been worth the one hour drive it takes me to get there

We were seated at the bar which was super comfy! Staff were brilliant, really friendly and knowledgable. Defo worth the spend.

Great food; not been there before, so the staff helpfully explained that the food was more served like a tapas way than the traditional 3-course. Between 2 of us, we ordered 3 dishes each, plus 2 desserts, and that was plentiful. Each dish was beautifully presented and just as delicious to eat! Service was very attentive and friendly. Cannot fault it. It was one of the hottest days of the year, so the windows were wide open and we had a lovely breeze coming through keeping us comfortable. Very pleased with it all.

Excellent pint of real ale served at the perfect temperature. We didn't eat, but what we saw of the food it was very pretentious and arty farty.

Such a wonderful gem in Marlow! We went for the second lunch seating on a Sunday. The food was incredible - such amazing flavors and the presentation was gorgeous! Super friendly staff. Had a wonderful wine recommendation too - definitely worth talking to the team to get recommendations based on your likes! Nice vibe and very friendly and welcoming staff, the highlight of our lunch experience. However I felt the kitchen is trying too hard with the food. Menu takes inspiration from pub classics (scotch egg, fish and chips etc) but falls short on execution and flavour in my opinion. I found the result to be confusing and too fussy. My guess the restaurant is carried by the name of its Chef Patron. If it wasn’t for him the google ratings would have been much lower.

Excellent meal this evening in the coach. The menu is consisted of small and large plates cattogorised into meat and no meat. We were recommended 5 for the two of us and with a dessert and cheese this was perfect. As expected every thing was superb, great flavours and all well cooked. Service was excellent nice and friendly. I would deffinetly go again and recommend to all.

Service and food were great. Space is a tad tight. Best spot is along the bar/facing the kitchen. We had the burger, chips, hispi cabbage, chicken Kiev, chocolate mousse and treacle tart. Everything was delicious. However this is rich food. Pace yourself! Seasoning on Kiev was also slightly heavy handed. But overall it was well worth the price and we were astounded at the price of the set menu. What a bargain! £15 for 2 courses. We'll definitely be back to try the set menu.

Absolutely loved this place. Staff were amazing, including the head chef, Sarah. Food was stunning and will definitely visit again!

This place is good but not outstanding. Liked all dishes but didn’t love them to a point where I’d come back for them - all reasonably well executed except for the beef hash which was extremely salty despite having very good flavor (and I usually eat VERY salty). Overall a pleasant experience, service is subdued but friendly, a bit slow, but nothing to complain about. Price point is good. Setting is nice. Again, just nothing overly exciting, but not bad by any means either.

Wasn't quite sure what to expect when the word tapas was mentioned in descriptions of the food. In fact the dishes are small however larger than tapas and served in a tapas style continuation. We had 8 dishes, 6 savoury and 2 sweet, this left us delightfully full but not stuffed. All were absolutely delicious with the venison chilli just beating the turbot to first place in our ranking. Totally recommend.

I loved every dish except for the Venison, rice with chocolate. Whilst the Venison was delicious, the combo was not to my liking.

Quite a mixed bag in terms of food. A key thing to note is despite the prices looking like full meal rates the menu is designed as more of a tapas/taster menu. This means you are encouraged to order 2-3 options per person. The food was very rich, with some excellent classics and then some less well executed items , such as the 'coach chips' which I assume where supposed to be triple cooked but they were just rock hard and highly salted. The staff were all great though and it was a novel experience but overall I wouldn't return.

Went for Lunch. The set menu was fantastic. Everything about the place is fantastic. Knowledgeable staff great wine and beer selection and the food was amazing. Well worth it.

Best Michelin Star food you can get for price. Service is 5* and the food is incredible. Set lunch at 2 dishes for £15 is unbeatable. (Add a third dish too for a bit more if you like) Open kitchen, engaging and friendly chefs, love seeing it all working. A true gem in Marlow.

Pretty much my perfect meal. Fancy but simple food that tastes great. Small plates so you can taste lots of things. Staff were great and very accommodating of our small baby. Will be back again. Hopefully soon :)

A truly wonderful dinner at this absolute gem of a restaurant. The level of detail and sophistication that go into the recipes is awe inspiring.

Enjoyable restaurant. Food is very well prepared and presented but a little on the bland side (especially starters duck liver parfait and watercress soup). Quail was super though. Order the chips and ponder when does a chip become a roast potato, and when does a roast potato become a chip. Service was a bit clunky. “Would you like another glass of champagne?” “No thank you. Maybe later.” Glass of champagne arrives. “Excuse me is this complimentary? We didn’t order it.” “I thought you did.” Yanks glass away. I think my expectations were too high having read reviews. Go in expecting mediocre food and service and you will pleasantly surprised.

Disappointing experience at The Coach for lunch today. Despite booking a table for 3 we were placed on an awkwardly shaped table in the corner and although there was a huge gap between us and the next table the waiting staff wouldn't move our table around so we would be more comfortable. Food was ok but over salted and it felt very heavy with few vegetable options to pair with the meat. There weren't any special touches that you might expect when eating at a Michelin starred establishment and the sport on the TVs felt tacky especially given no one was watching it. To note, the accessible toilet was extremely inaccessible! It is off a room at the back with a table and chairs half a metre away meaning the door could only be opened once the group sitting there had left, and it would be impossible to get a wheelchair in there without moving all the furniture. Prices reasonable but we wouldn't return.

The menu is confusing. It is split into two sections ‘meat’ and ‘not meat’. The pricing is roughly between £10-£35 for the items on it which we presumed were starters and mains…. Wrong. It’s essentially tapas and very expensive for what you get. The burger especially for £19 was like a kids slider. Try sharing that between 2! £100 spent for 4 small dishes and a couple of drinks. Unlikely to return as the quality vs price isn’t there.

Im a little surprised this has a Michelin star, the food was fine- very VERY salty and I think in general quite underwhelming for the hype that surrounds it- perhaps we would have enjoyed it more if our expectations were lower. Nothing wrong with the food but certainly not exceptional or noteworthy

Excellent food in a quaint place

Amazing!! From the minute we entered we were warmly welcomed & served with such enthusiasm. The food was incredible especially the Mussels Mariniere. Highly recommend a visit here & get seating at the bar if you can.

Small L shape dining area with stools along the bar. Michelin 1*, glorified fine dining pub food is very good.

High expectations but weren’t met. Lacking atmosphere. Didn’t fill me with absolute joy. Mediocre. Just one of those “so so” type restaurants. Nothing to shout about. Nothing memorable except for waiting 30 minutes for what looked like a loaf of bread that had just been in Willy Wonkas shrink machine. It was tiny. It was so bad it was hilarious. And it even got presented with an elaborate story of how they make it from scratch which is what took them so long. Leave it out!
