This pub is really enjoyable with an easy-going atmosphere, great sport on a massive screen and good live music on a Friday night. The John smiths is lovely and a decent price. Just cant wait for it to re-open after the virus!

Continues to serve drinkers until they are completely mortal. Regulars like to drink alone and drown their sorrows and the pub continues to serve them. Regulars often seen hanging over the railings outside like life’s dirty washing. No social responsibility and should be shut down to stop the blight in our community. The Castle Inn is another delightful institution where drugs of every class can be taken in a non challenging environment.

I used to live in Deeside then moved to Chester but missed the Clwyd especially the big screen footy and friday bands. Great landlady and staff with competitive priced beer ! going to move back just so the Clwyd can be my local. Best ever pub !!!

Went in here last night 27/10/18 Bar was enjoyable. Music was excellent and there was a good crowd in there, staff and facilities were brilliant but unfortunately I had to leave and spend my money a few paces down the road at Wetherspoon's why? Well Whetherspoon's like many other businesses have excepted by now (2018) we are in a different century and the norm is to pay by debit/credit card perhaps the owners were born in the 70s/80s last century???

I love coming her with my friends to watch the football, go to the Saturday night disco and play pool. It's a great pub with excellent staff who are friendly and even when it's loud, they are still polite which I very really see these days incredible pubs. The other pubs in the area feel it's ok to be rude at you when it's loud and treat you like a foreign 7 year old. Not this place! They serve with a smile on their face and are always kind and helpful. The other thing is it's amazing prices! Yet to find a cheeper pub that looks after you as well as this one does!

Best place to drink & socialize, all staff are lovely! Great regulars, always a good atmosphere in there especially when they're showing sports or have karaoke and disco's on, I've personally never had an issue there.

The pub has had a little refurbishment as it was so dirty and smelly that has improved a bit and Jo the barmaid is very good, cant believe the company kept Linda on as the manager so cocky and mouthy. not a family place more of a mans pub.

Saddened by some of the reviews. We had a lovely meal although I would say maybe took too long and could’ve done with a bit more but it is home cooked. Served by a young lady called Mandy we think or wendy only overheard from another it was very busy and she was not just serving behind the bar but also being our waitress. But I will mention her and her colleague Sammy we’ve been served by Sammy before were both great it’s always nice seeing staff have a laugh with each other makes the experience more homely. We stayed for drinks after and it was a very busy evening and the girl we mentioned before who served us food was so busy but always served with a smile. So all in all top food and top service! Will visit again. Pat on back to Mandy/wendy and Sammy

Popped into here for a quick bite to eat and drink after going around Mold doing some shopping. The location of the place is ideal as it's located right on the main crossroads of the town and within a very short walk to the other shops in Mold. I found the staff to be very friendly when I entered and they made me feel at ease. I bought a cup of tea and a slice of cake (Persian lemon cake) all for just over £5, which seems reasonable considering other coffee shops. The cake was superb and a decent size for a slice - no scrimping here! Also, it is a nice location to just enjoy a cup of tea whilst watching the world go by, especially if you manage to get one of the window seats. I did notice they had a good choice of drinks and cakes available on the menu, so there should be something for anyone who chooses to visit in the future. Highly recommended!
