Remarkably good service and nice food on a challengingly busy Sunday morning with tables filling up at a rate of knots. They sorted seating for ten of us (three couples, two with small kids), did the teas, coffees & hot chocolates and delivered all the hot food promptly despite the rush. All of a high standard too.

Came along for lunch again during our annual visit to Wimborne! We didn’t think the food and atmosphere could get much better after our visit last year. We were wrong. My friend and I regularly have lunch at Cloisters, we’ve been coming for years and usually on a Wednesday. It’s got a great atmosphere and is very busy , we’re always welcomed with a smile. Lovely staff. The food is excellent, so much choice and always something lovely on the Specials Board too. I highly recommend the omelettes , with delicious homemade coleslaw and salad but to be honest I’ve tried most things and everything is great. Everything is homemade and freshly cooked and that’s what makes it special, we never go anywhere else when visiting Wimborne. Keep up the good work and see you soon! Thank you!

We were visiting Wimborne and went to cloisters for coffee, tea and my wife had chocolate cake. It is dog friendly which was good as it was raining. The only two issue's were they need to order more pastries (sausages rolls, pasties etc) as we went at lunch time in the week, not the weekend and they said they had sold out, and the toilets are up 2 flights of stairs which ment I could not go to the toilet as I have mobility issues. The coffee was good and my wife enjoyed her chocolate cake.

Dropped in for lunch after a walk round Wimborne town. The menu had plenty of variety and the restaurant was busy which is always a good sign. A table for 5 was found and we were offered menus. Plenty of choice from a brunch menu, jackets, toasted sandwiches, cold sandwiches, burgers. You name it and it was probably available. 1 pot of tea, cappuccino and flat white and a raspberry lemonade. For food, eggs Benedict & hash brown , eggs royale, chicken burger, Coronation chicken, curly fries, fish finger ciabatta. We waited a short while and the food all arrived. Well presented and kept us quiet whilst we ate. 5 empty plates indicates good choices were made. My one plea, fix the latch in the entrance door. It was a chilly day and every time a customer came in or out the door didn’t close properly. Would happily visit again as there was a varied menu available, and we would definitely recommend.

Most importantly though, the selection of sandwiches and cakes were outstanding. The viennese whirls were particularly good and we loved being able to choose any drinks we liked since not all of us are tea drinkers. Poor quality food at premium prices. Should have gone to piazzo lounge in the square for equalivent cost. Eggs fried and poached came out way too hard so had to return them. Took ages for breakfast to be returned, felt we were not prioritised. The new breakfast the fried egg was good but eggs benedict poached were still too hard although slightly softer. My wife commented on par with wetherspoons and couldnt be bothered return again to ear separately. We looked across watching another customer eating the same with hard poached eggs. The poached eggs are done in a brevel poaching machine or similar and come out round like the macdonalds egg shape. Why can't they be done in a pan with water? They always used to. Upon paying the waitress who did not ask if everything was OK so I'm giving the feedback now. If they had of asked I would have said in the café. There is so much good competition in wimborne this was simply not good enough. Avoid try something else.

Stopped off for breakfast to kill some time before an appointment. Parking across the road is very handy but only allowed to stop for 30 minutes. Longer parking available nearby if needed but the service was so quick that 30 minutes sufficed. Wimbourne appears to have more breakfast places than you can shake a chipolata at but I chose the Cloisters based on previous reviews. I can affirm all the good things that have been said already. Staff are friendly and efficient, food is excellent and portions are good. I had scrambled eggs on toast with bacon and a side order of hash browns (out of curiosity since someone on here had said they were very good). Everything was freshly cooked and the hash browns were indeed excellent! The coffee is good too. If ever I am in Wimbourne again I will definitely eat here.

It was okay - we’ve been highly anticipating visiting due to their famous tea cakes but had sold out. We grabbed lunch instead. My partner had a halloumi toastie and was a little sad to see it was 2 very thin slices of halloumi on each side with nothing else inside (no chilli jam, seasons etc), so very bland and plain for £6.50. I had a Caesar salad which was tasty but disappointing supermarket packet style chicken rather than cooked whole breast, this was £10.50 I think. So yeah wouldn’t rush back. But super friendly staff & clean.

I came here for breakfast on 10/8/2023 after reading a few reviews and it was superb. Located not far from Wimborne Minster (Church) this cafe is well staffed and has plenty of seating including an upstairs which I didn't get to see. I got the full English breakfast with a side of avocados and my wife got toast with fried eggs. We both had coffee (flat white and Chai Latte) which is not included in the breakfast and it was all superb. The staff are friendly and perhaps equally important : there's enough of them to go round. I can't overstate how pleasant it was to eat there. The bill came to just over 25 notes which seemed reasonable for what we had. It's definitely worth a visit and if you have a dog, you can bring it with you.

The Tea Room & Garden at the Museum of East Dorset (MED) in Wimborne Minster is a beautiful spot for light refreshments - both hot and cold. The Tea Room is connected to the beautiful garden of the museum and, thus, victors can, in the warm weather, be seated in the outside patio area to enjoy their drinks and snacks whilst experiencing the aesthetically glorious garden. The MED Tea Room also has a light inside dining area which has lovely views across the garden due to the big windows. The staff is comprised of volunteers who are friendly and welcoming; refreshments are ordered at the café and served to your table. The Tea Room and toilets are very clean and the menu includes a very reasonable charge for food and drink. The Tea Room and garden are accessible for all visitors and there is a disabled bathroom. The walled garden is a location for everyone (of all abilities and ages) to enjoy, play, relax and explore.

I’ve been a regular customer at Gulliver’s Farm Shop for quite some time, and it’s been wonderful to watch it grow and evolve. They offer a delightful menu featuring biodynamic food straight from their farm, and the quality of the food is outstanding, especially for the price. One of the highlights for us is that when an adult orders a meal, children's meals are just £1 – a fantastic value for families! What makes Gulliver's even more special is their commitment to employing individuals with disabilities, providing meaningful support and opportunities to adults with varying needs. It feels great to support such a worthy cause while enjoying a meal. The play area is perfect for kids to run around, and the play trail is a lovely addition after a meal. I highly recommend Gulliver’s Farm Shop to friends and will continue to do so."

Over priced modern furniture. Great for retirement and care home type furniture. What let's this store down is the staff aptitude. The store closed at 5pm, which is fine, a little unexpected on a Saturday, however actually turning the lights off and saying the staff have gone home at 5pm sharp, I mean to the second is an odd reflection on their management there. All customers actually escorted from the building and told we are open tomorrow. I mean WOW. Just imagine the level of support you might get if you actually buy something there and need help with it. All the good reviews were probably customers who were shopping during the day while the staff had to do their job! This is just our personal experience.
