The Clock Tower Coffee Shop in Teignbridge

Our first visit today was a great success, after travelling down from east Devon and having shopped locally we needed some lunch, we have been to most of the other eateries in the area over the years and wanted to try something new. We were tempted in by the specials board outside and l ordered the Mediterranean lasagne, garlic bread and salad garnish with a side of fries as an extra, my wife had a breakfast and we shared a pot of tea. We were served at the table shortly after we sat down by polite, efficient young staff. The food was well cooked and presented, really tasty just as we had hoped. To our delight when I paid the bill it came to well under £24! Keep up the good work, you will have our custom again when in the area. Regards, Uncle Pudders.

Excellent , busy cafe in the centre of this charming South Devon market town. Our meals were excellent (pancakes and ice cream! ) , the young staff here are hard working, switched on and extremely helpful. On a dismay weather day, a trip here was very enjoyable. The fact that there were so many locals in the cafe showed just how good the Clock Tower is.

Beautiful sunny day decided to both have a baguettes. Bacon and brie and I had chicken bacon and mayo. Both we delicious. Staff friendly. We both really enjoyed. Relaxing in the sun. Definitely recommend

Stopped by, by accident for lunch. Had a regular English breakfast and I couldn’t fault it. Everything was freshly cooked and delicious. My wife had a sandwich and that was excellent too

Popped in for a coffee whilst visiting the town. The staff were friendly and efficient. Wifi was down but otherwise an enjoyable visit.

Good value breakfast in a good location. Outside and inside seating offered. Dogs welcome. Friendly staff, good service. We will return.

Come here say about 2-3 times a week and i can honestly say best coffee house in newton, staff are so friendly and outgoing and nothing is too much trouble. The owners are extremely lovely and go above and beyond no matter what and i would highly recommend this place to anyone. I always have a jacket or a breakfast which comes out well presented and always nice and Hot definitely 10/10. Thanks guys keep up the excellent service you provide.

My parents, my partner and I had a brilliant lunch meal out. The toasties were very well-filled and out of this world. Definitely the best in Newton Abbot! The service was polite, helpful and the help we received regarding a glass-related query was great. We can’t wait to come back soon! :)

Visited here with my wife for a bite to eat. We had to wait an age just to be acknowledged never mind be served and it wasn’t even busy. Tables around us were dirty but not much effort being made to clean them. One of the staff members was more concerned to be outside on her phone and smoking her vape while another lady was trying her best to serve customers. Food was of a decent standard when it did come. It doesn’t take much to give good customer service especially within the hospitality environment. Poor customer service can ultimately destroy a business.

Hi, if you find yourself in Newton Abbot, then I highly recommend that you pay a visit to the Clock Tower coffee shop. You will not be disappointed. The food, drinks and service is first class. It is incredibly excellent value for money. This is a gem in this Devon town. So do not wait head to the Clock Tower Coffee shop and see for yourself. 5* rating is as high as you can give, but it is worth more.

The coffee shop is now under new ownership and has returned to its former glory. A beautiful, relaxing place to dine out.

Sandwiches were ok but lengthy wait. Ordered sausage but was given sausage and bacon. Tea was too strong to drink. Asked twice for extra hot water but none came. Service is poor.

This coffee house is one of my favourite places to dine in Newton Abbot as you can be assured of first class food and an old fashioned service where the customer comes first, and the coffee tastes good too!

Nice place to pop in for a good cup of coffee, and lovely cakes that remind me of mother's own. This was not our first visit - and it certainly won't be our last.

Nos metimos en aquí para tomar un café y un bollo hoy. El café estaba lleno pero nos sirvieron rápidamente, el café era caliente y fuerte y el bollo hubiera sido mejor recién horneados que en la anterior ocasión cuando estaba tan seco todo pero fracaso y no fácilmente capaz de aplicar mantequilla y mermelada. El bollo (compartimos una, ya que son bastante grande) de hoy en día estaba bien recién horneados y así que puedo en mi clasificación de normal a muy bueno.

Metimos en aquí esta tarde y café ordered para mí y mi marido y una fruta bollo para él y un bollo de queso para mí. Café que no estaba mal, pero no tiene nada de especial, y los bollos ... bueno, un tiempo estaban arriba de nuestra scones líder pensión, pero no durante más tiempo. Ahora son enormes ( ¿por qué lugares que sean tan grandes estos días? Mini barras extras que no quieras) y el bollo de fruta de mi marido fracaso tanto que era casi imposible encontrar superficie suficiente para extender su mantequilla y mermelada. Mi bollo de queso era agradable y cursi, pero de nuevo, se decidió que no quería mantequilla y simplemente desmenuzada bajo mi cuchillo.

As I live in Newton Abbot I often go into this coffee shop as the coffee is wholesome and tasty and the service is very good, and served with a smile, the place is always spotless.

Won't be visiting this cafe again as the staff were extremely rude and unwelcoming. Service was atrocious, so we ended up walking out and going to a lovely cafe opposite.

Always stop here for lunch when in town with mum. Very friendly and welcoming. Lovely selection of food on the menu. Never had a cake from the stand, but always look delicious. Very reasonably priced. Traditional service, love it.

Unfortunately, the Italian blend of coffee served here was not to our particular likening. The waiting staff and I presume the elderly man owner could appear as if they enjoyed working there!!

Bien, en esta ocasión nos quedamos en realidad tomar una buena taza de té para dos ... habíamos estado en Newton Abbot, el South Devon ciudad de mercado, y sucedió que llega el día en el año cuando criers de ciudad de todo el país (y algunos de Australia) estaban teniendo su/competencia de convenciones, Oyez asamos por todo lo que vale la pena. Muy divertido, pero luego nos necesitaba refresco así que nos dirigimos a la Torre del Reloj, una casa favorita de café de la nuestra cuando en esta ciudad.

En un viaje a Newton Abbot llamamos a esta cafetería para tomar un refresco por la tarde. La tienda cierra a las 4 pm entre semana, así que pudimos tomar té, café y un pastel antes de que cerrara. personal muy agradable en este establecimiento pintoresco. A un precio razonable y bien vale la pena la visita.
