Stopped on route between appointments with husband Barry. Friendly and quick service. Delicious ciabattas. Will be back to try desserts.

Really great pub serving good food and beverages with really welcoming and helpful staff. Really good verity and meal choices on the menu. All our meals were well presented and very tasty, good portions sizes and enjoyable. Good selection of ales on tap too. We will definitely be returning again.

My friend and I had stopped here this afternoon for an early dinner with our children, we arrived and were greeted by a lovely guy who tried to sit us in the restaurant much to the dismay of the manager who very rudely told him that we weren’t able to shouting across the room. We were then seated in the bar ad ordered and paid (which was hard work as the tills had half the things marked as unavailable when they weren’t) but the two new lads behind the bar did really well to try and help us! The manager then came over to help a gentleman check in who had been waiting a while! After 20 mins and no drinks I approached one of the young lads to ask if he could fill up my flask with hot water so I could make a bottle for my baby, he agreed, this conversation was over heard by the manager who then told him we couldn’t. I asked what the reason was and she said health and safety. I explained that I then wanted a refund as I was unable to eat there as I didn’t have any hot water for my baby’s bottle. She gave me the refund and a lot of attitude trying to blame the younger guys. We asked if we could buy a cup of tea and left the tea bag out and used that water, but were ignored. They were absolutely amazing and couldn’t have delivered a better service with their ability, the manager however was awful. Her attitude and her lack of empathy was impressive, not once did she apologise for the situation or try and help us. My background is in hospitality and I find it absolutely incredible that a simple request was refused. The hospitality industry is on its knees currently with 50+ pubs a month closing and with the standards of service like this you’d like to think the remaining pubs are trying to keep custom rather than loosing it over something so small that made a vulnerable new mum feel humiliated and embarrassed.

Great selection of food, always good quality and tastes great. Staff are very friendly, helpful, we are always greeted with a smile.

The Dartbridge is conveniently placed, with a good car park and easy access to the A38. Four of us were dining and found that the menu offered a satisfactory range of options. We each had a different choice and found the food to be excellent. We were impressed with the friendly welcome, the price and the service.

Have visited regularly at the Dartbridge Inn for coffee, lunch and dinner and have always found the staff brilliant. They offer a friendly service lovely atmosphere and great food. Kirsty, Nicole. Living near Exeter, the Inn is an ideal place for us to meet, as a "half way house", for friends and family we have in Plymouth, as we did on a recent visit. Good quality pub food at reasonable prices. The staff are very attentive, a special mention for Beth & Holly who looked after us very well. Thank you.

My husband and I had two evening meals at the Dartbridge Inn after checking for Greene King pubs in the Devon area. Excellent parking, atmosphere super, table layout excellent, staff extremely friendly and the menu was exactly what we wanted, nothing too fancy just good honest food. If you did not want to have a full blown meal they do light bites as well, or just have a starter and light sweet with a hot drink. The meals we had were very nice and hot (gammon and chips and cod and chips). We were served by Beth and Nancy the first night who were extremely pleasant and very helpful. Beth went out of her way to get prices for accommodation, and, after talking to other guests who were staying at the Dartbridge resulted in our booking a four night stay next May. Would recommend the Dartbridge.

Had a lovely lunch here today. 6 close family get together. This turned out to be an excellent venue choice. The service and food was really good and the 3 members of staff that made us feel welcome and appreciated. We will definitely return.

Haven’t bee here for years, and boy has it improved! We had heard good things about it from our friends so we tried it today and we were really impressed. Our server was Beth and she was friendly, helpful and attentive without being over the top. We had the Asian belly pork and it was absolutely gorgeous, best belly pork we’ve eaten! We couldn’t manage a full pudding so went for the hot drink plus mini dessert. It was more than enough and excellent value. If you haven’t been here before or haven’t beefed for ages, then what are you waiting for! It’s dog friendly too! What more could you want.

We had an overnight stopover here on our way down to Cornwall. Our room was cozy and warm with a comfortable bed and really good shower with easy access outside, ideal for us as we were travelling with our dog. We ate in the pub that night and had breakfast the following morning, the eggs royale were amazing!We will definitely stay again.

Just stayed at the Dartbridge inn again for a long weekend with my dog, and had a lovely stay. The rooms are clean & warm, the food great, and most of all the staff are so welcoming. Stayed for 2 nights 6th - 7th . Check in was quick, room was clean and bed comfortable. We ate on both nights first in restaurant then in the bar. This is our first visit in 15yrs, The changes made since the last visit are vast & very welcome Spacious with staff willing to offer a good experience Beth & Taylor although on a learning curve went out of their way to make our visit memorable The well presented lunch was tasty and represented good value We will certainly add this venue to our luncheon gatherings with friends in future

I was looking for a restaurant/pub in between Exeter and Plymouth for a family celebration. Out of the many options, this was about the only one with recent positive reviews! I can see why! The atmosphere in the pub was lovely, the staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. I had the Asian style pork belly and it was one of the tastiest meals ever! Everyone ate their food and thoroughly enjoyed it (my sister wasn’t overly enamoured with her lasagne - but it wouldn’t put her off returning and trying something else!). I think it would be wise to book if you are going on a weekend as it soon filled up, but the tables were not all crammed in together which was nice. Am looking forward to planning our next visit back!

Amazing service and food was steaming hot! The soft music is relaxing and the pub was busy but the service from Beth and the team was amazing. I live 20 odd miles away but this is always our go to- well worth a visit!

A38 was very busy and horrendously heavy rain so decided to call into the Dartbridge Inn . Had a lovely main course and pudding all delivered in excellent time and quality. Have to mention the 2 charming young ladies Beth and Nancy who looked after us admirably while we were there.

We came for a family meal, and were shown to our table in the restaurant. We were asked by our server Nancy if we wanted drinks whilst we looked at the menu. The drinks took a while to come, but it was a busy Sunday afternoon. We all opted for the roast in various guises. The food arrived and looked good and was hot. We had two large jugs of gravy for the four of us. Nancy came and checked on us and seemed very attentive, even responding to my Dad's bad jokes. We had dessert and again found no faults. Will return again.
