We had another delicious meal here tonight, roast dinner, burger and gammon. Service was great, so friendly and helpful. Great value for money.

We came here yesterday. This place is lovely on the inside and out. There was a lovely member of bar staff called Mark working there. He was very helpful and very funny. He had a great sense of humour and was very smiley also where all the other staff. We had food here aswell as drinks. The food was next level and very well priced. It was so fresh and plentiful. Everything was brilliant. Also it's in a fantastic location close to motorway links and not for from Lytham. I would recommend the clifton to all as it is very family Friendly aswell. They had a free bouncy castle on site for the children which they have everyday. Also there is plenty of parking. I would definitely book in advance for food though as it was very busy. We can't wait to go back again and try more amazing food. Also they have live entertainment on at weekends so we will have to check that out aswell. Thank you. 😊

Food was ten out of ten great service definitely returning, lamb was perfect cheese onion pie great need more pastry buttermilk chicken burger was great Starters was onion rings abit overdone, and garlic bread was perfect All servers were fantastic

Friendly pub with pool table, outdoor tables and serving food. The food is decent. I had the seafood risotto which was pretty good. My family really enjoyed the steak pie!

Never having visited The Clifton in our 18 months living in Lytham, we chose this venue for a light lunch to meet up with friends who had travelled up from the South. We scored big time. Immediately on entering we were warmly greeted by Chris who was non stop as bar man and assistant with looking after customers who were dining for lunch. Our friends arrived after us and Chris kindly pointed out where we were sitting then presented us with the menu and also the lunch time light bites choice. Both menus were quite impressive but we opted for the light bites and were more than happy with our choice. The two girls both had the gammon with all the extras whilst ‘Gordie’’ and myself opted for the steak which was cooked to perfection, moist, tender and wonderfully tasty. For under £10 we voted it a great bargain. The place was very clean and we thoroughly enjoyed the calm way in which the staff went about their business, we weren’t rushed and our drinks were on the table within 2 mins of asking. In The Clifton we have found a new ‘local’ and Chris and his crew will certainly be seeing more of us…thanks guys.

This was a dip in and out of the water with your toe experience. I was in CAW for less that 30 mins, a friends partner had suddenly passed, and wanted to show my support!

We decided to take a trip out to the nearby plant nursery and decided we would treat ourselves to breakfast. We discovered the Cliftonville which was a great find for us the staff and food was great and we hope to return again soon.

Had found this establishment on a Google search. Saw they did a 2 4 1 on lunches mid week so as we were in the area shopping decided to give it a try. It wasn’t busy. In fact we were the only two who were eating. So plenty of options on where to sit. Plenty of space between tables but set out in such a way that tables could be pulled together to accommodate large parties. It was a brightly lit dining area which appeared to be well maintained and very clean and tidy. Our server gave us our menus. Options looked different to those I had seen online. There were some special deals on but no 2 4 1 deal showing. I asked out server about this. He said the pub was under new ownership and that deal was no longer available. I pointed out it was still on the internet but he said they were unable to take it down. So please be aware if you are visiting. The menu online is not the one currently available. I went with the fish and chips at £14.95. Our server had pointed out that they had a deal on that day on any pies on the menu so my brother went with the beef and ale pie. This was only £9.95. It came with chips and vegetables. Our meals took a while to arrive. Probably because we were the only ones to have ordered food. I was disappointed with the size of the portions. I had 11 chips. My brother had 12. My portion of mushy peas was about 2 spoon fulls. But it was just as well I got a small portion of chips as they were awful. Most were very undercooked. The fish was nice. Very hot with a nice crispy batter. The peas, despite the tiny portion, were good. The tartare sauce lovely. Our server confirmed that it was their own freshly made. My brother enjoyed his pie. Again wasn’t a massive portion but he said the meat filling was tasty and tender. I went with cheesecake for dessert. It was ok. Nothing special. I would assume made off site and brought in. When my brother went for the bill he noticed we had been overcharged. An extra portion of fish and chips had beef added onto the bill. But despite this error, which was rectified, prices overall were very reasonable. Drinks especially. A pint of Birra Moretti was £5.10 and a large lime and soda £1.80. Overall there were some positives from our visit. It’s a very nice venue. But unfortunately a few things did mar our visit. We felt it was ok but they could, on another day, be better. On Google you can’t award half a star. This probably warrants 3 and a half stars. However, 4 stars would be too high so I’ve had to go with 3. We wouldn’t rule out visiting this establishment again if passing but are not likely to go specifically to visit.

Visited the Restaurant for the first time today,Sunday. Staff very courteous and efficient also their appearance was smart and professional. The food was excellent, nicely presented. We did not feel hurried over our meal and the ambience was nice. Overall good value, just one criticism re: the small roast my Grandson requested chicken and beef , neither were big portions understandably, but there was a charge of £5.95 extra because he had a little piece of chicken besides the beef . I feel this is a bit steep to charge that much extra ! maybe the kitchen Staff could have given him an even smaller portion of beef to go along with the chicken . ( He's under 10) He did however enjoy the meal as indeed we all did. The Desserts were all of a good size and again nicely presented . This establishment is one of the places I'd patronise again, maybe a bit pricey but nice.!

Home cooked food , fantastic quality , very reasonable bar prices , 10/10 staff & atmosphere

Managed to get a table for 7 with 2 dogs at short notice. Food was outstanding, best garlic bread I have had in ages... Was our 1st time here...Will definitely be back soon

We came for the Brownies and ice cream. It was so delicious, I forgot to stop to take a picture, the coffee I ordered was a flat white and it was so smooth without being over milky was perfect. They were super good with my daughter, the guy lent onto the bar not in an over bearing way so that he was closer to her level so they can talk about the options she had with choosing her Brownies with ice cream which was served with fruit (strawberries and blueberries)and the icecream was served on a bed of biscoff crumb garnished with a mint sprig. The Brownies could have been served with custard but we didn't chose this so we cannot comment but I bet it's just as great.

The food was absolutely amazing and the quality was superb! I had roast beef and cooked to perfection! The front of house staff were a credit to the place and went above and beyond! Will definitely be back…..

Called in after a walk had the most delicious pizza accompanied by fantastic onion rings and fries all for under £20. We will definitely be making this our new local, staff were fabulous nothing too much trouble. See you again soon

Very welcoming team who work really hard to provide an excellent guest experience. Varied menu of delicious dishes including clearly identified dietary options. Good choice for coeliac gluten free needs. Food was beautifully presented and tasted fabulous.

Thought we had booked via website, but found out the website details are still going to previous owner so the Clifton Arms are not getting the bookings - so phone directly to get your reservation. 4 of us dined in and the service was excellent, attentive and the right amount of friendliness. Food, best meal, we all agreed, that we’d had in a while. 2 had linguine, 2 had belly pork. De-lic-ous! There was no rush to leave, we had dessert and drinks and had time to catch up with each other. Well done Clifton Arms, we hope to be back next time we are in town.

Amazing little pub staff were great couldn’t be more helpful the was amazing not one problem for starters we had a garlic break and salt and pepper chicken strips with sweet chilli sauce the chicken was really fresh and the coating was nice and crispy, for mains we had cheese and onion pie beans and triple cooked chips which was beautiful the chips tasted like ready salted walkers crisp and mrs had steak and ale pie with fresh veg she said one of nicest pies she’s ever had will definitely be returning on a regular basis

Heard a few good things about the new owners and the food at the Clifton so we thought why not. They didn’t let us down. The food was really good. We went for Sunday pm and had the beef and chicken Sunday dinners. Both delicious and cooked perfectly. My son has a children’s pizza, it was fresh doe and seemed stoned baked, really nice. We will definitely be back. Thanks team Clifton, our new local family meal place. And when the Beaver town pump is up and running I’m defo back there.

Superb meal under new management and the new front of house team and menu - really pleased we bobbed in tonight for dinner (without a booking) - great service, great food! Toilets still need a refurb but otherwise overall great value. Well done to the new team.

Great food, terrible selection of cider let's it down. I'd love to see either a local Lancashire cider or something that isn't the super sweet Bulmers / Strongbow usual. Either Sheppy's, Aspal, Scrummage, Old Rosie, Henry Western to name a few would be great to see.

Food was really tasty I had the steak and ale pie with mash and veg and my husband had the king prawn salad.

This is the first time we have eaten in here. We didn't have a table booked but they were so accommodating. The service was second to none, fabulous food, great atmosphere and also fantastic prices. We went there as a family for a meal while staying nearby. There were only two working the bar and waiting on tables, they also had a party of 13 there, but dispute that they were very professional and kept a cool head. They even warned us to order soon so that we don't get caught behind the party of 13, so that was nice of them. The food was delicious and homemade, my wife had the curry and me and our boys had a pizza each (1 meat feast & 2 pepperoni), even the pizza was homemade, you can tell that and it was perfectly cooked. Had some dirty fries on the side these were flavoursome and really enjoyed them Would definitely go again and would recommend it to anyone even if it was just for a drink. Well-done to all the staff there, great work. 👍👍👍

First and last time here. Waited over an hour for food from the ‘nibbles and starter’ menu and was told there’s 14 tickets but yet when we ordered there were about 5 tables with people on. food was greasy, hair in the mayo, 3 of the mussels were still shut, asked for vinegar and no one came back and just wasn’t nice. Calamari was stringy and the bowl was full of grease! Won’t be visiting again.

After having a hectic morning moving house for our daughter I had already decided we would call in at the Clifton for food and drinks as we were in the area. If there was any more stars ✨ I would be giving it to them as it is a real jem . Large carpark, lovely outdoor seating, a warm and friendly welcome, and a locals pub were you are well looked after. The food 🍲 and drink were excellent, you were actually spoilt for choice and we chose two different meals from the light bites menu and there was that much it was like having a full meal. Many thanks to the Clifton team it was a pleasure to visit. Any time you are passing here to go to Lytham or the coast it is well worth a visit.

First time I’ve been in there. Just moved to the area so giving everything a try. Was asked 3 times for my preference on my steak cooking. My friend and I waited over an hour for our food. After dinner coffees were cold so had to be nuked in chef microwave. Disputed the bill at paying and was threatened with calling the police to arrest me for not accepting the full paying price. Food eventually was good. However it’s ok to make a point without being threatened to be arrested

First visit here with my wife and brother. An early evening visit so not many diners but the welcome from the young man behind the bar was extremely welcoming. The food came hot , well presented and in good time. The orations were good , and the prices very reasonable. The IPA was also spot on !! 🍺

Came here after being rejected at The ship for chef shortages. They food was absolutely amazing, some the best food I have had eating out. I got steak cooked mendium rae and it was grilled to perfection. Proper home done chunky chips too! My partner got a lamb roast dinner, fluffy roast potatoes and fresh tasting veg. His little girl got a child's margarita, really cheesy with plenty of tomato sauce base. Fresh out the pizza over, beautiful! Overall a great experience to say we wasn't suppose to eat here. I would recommend to anyone 👍

Called at the Clifton after search for dog friendly pubs in the area. Had the two burgers for £20 quid my dirty burger was really nice and the wife's vegi burger was also very good , friendly staff ,good offers on other nights will return 👍🍔🍔

A group of five adults and a dog visited on Easter Sunday. Starters we had black pudding and pepper sauce, pitta and dips, deep fried brie and a garlic bread and cheese .... all amazing. Mains we had chicken dinner x 2, gammon and egg, lamb dinner and moussaka. The food was beautiful. I would highly recommend.

Just moved to warton from st.annes, I know history of this site and one of my dearest friends Des McNiel frequented this place God bless him. Anyway nice food ambient atmosphere. Staff calm, happy and good service.

A totally lovely place with great staff. Looks great inside and feels really cozy with their log burner. The food is tasty and they welcome dogs with a bowl of water and treats on the bar.

Love this place. Go most Thursdays for the Quiz and always get a very friendly vibe. It's packed out every week but still very quick bar service. Cozy feel everytime. Excited to go back under the new management and show our support some more.
