We had a fabulous Christmas day lunch at the Birley, the food was 1st class and the service and hospitality was excellent. It was lovely to see the restaurant and pub so busy with such a relaxed and happy atmosphere! All the staff worked amazingly hard and we highly recommend it to all. Booked months in advance for christmas dinner. Dont know what went wrong on the day but we waited 30 mins to be seated and more than an hour between starter and main course. Turkey dinners were based on scraps of turkey, not even a full slice, they didnt give us the glass of fizz on arrival - in short it was a toal failure from both front and back of house. When another table complained they called the police on them!

We had an absolutely magical Christmas dinner at The Burley Arms in Blackpool! From start to finish, the experience was perfect. The food was outstanding—delicious, beautifully presented, and generous portions that left us all satisfied. The service was friendly and attentive, making us feel so welcome throughout the evening. It was especially special for our son, who was celebrating his very first Christmas, and the staff went out of their way to make it memorable for us. The atmosphere was warm and festive, adding to the overall charm of the evening. We couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate the occasion. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a top-notch Christmas meal!

Perfect Christmas dinner, the staff were friendly and polite.The customer service was exceptional, as they kept me updated throughout the entire process. Food was nothing short of outstanding. Eating at this establishment was a pleasure from beginning to end.

Thankyou so much to the staff at Birley Arms for a brilliant Christmas meal. Unfortunately one Man had spoilt it for a lot of others by kicking off and becoming aggressive to staff who were already rushed off their feet, stressed to high heavens on clearly one of the busiest days of the year for hospitality. Two staff members were in tears, the police were called and thankfully the man and family were asked to leave. Situation was dealt with well, food was amazing and we’ll defo be back despite the drama! Hope you guys had a good evening I’m so sorry you had to deal with such awful people on Christmas Day, god bless you all xx

Convenient location. Good atmosphere. Good menu choices. Friendly staff. But... room 17... loud hum all night long plus terrible noise when running water or flushing loo. Having said all that I'd happily recommend this hotel and stay again.... just not room 17 !!!

Came just for a drink, but the service (Laura) was fantastic and the food was equally good. Would definitely go again. Thank you.

Called in for lunch yesterday with my daughter son in law and 2 grandsons what a fantastic meal we had would definitely come again. Thanks to Laura she was superb.

Came here for Sunday lunch with my cousin and a friend, so can't give a review of the hotel side of things as didn't stay here. Nice location, lovely decor inside, modern but still has a country pub feel. Very good efficient service and the food was beautifully cooked. None of us could fault our meals. I had a half roast chicken and it was one of the most succulent ones I've ever eaten. You don't often get the option for it to be cooked with Franks Red Hot sauce, which is one of my favourites! First visit here and will be adding it to the list of

I can't comment on the rooms as we only came for dinner. The service was great and the food yummy, we had sausage and mash with homemade onion rings that were battered to perfect and fish and chips, lovely food, good size portions. Not 5 stars as the plate was cold and the food could have done to be a little hotter. Location is perfect for me as I live locally, we will be back.

10/10 Amazing, warm welcoming and cozy atmosphere, staff were very helpful and friendly. We chose Roast beef Sunday lunch with pigs in blankets absolutely delicious. The award winning sticky toffee pudding was to die for!

Sunday lunch was very good, although some of the beef was a bit grisly, but the roasties were pretty good. Good value for money overall, with a good choice of booze, and very friendly service. Service charge not included - cash only.

4 of us had booked a meal, requesting a table in the restaurant, we were actually given a table in the conservatory, it was very noisy in there, A 30 to 45 minute wait after ordering our meals, The mains we chose for ourselves were all very good, Two of our group chose desert, mine being a vanilla cheesecake with salted caramel drizzle, there was very very little drizzle, in fact hardly any, the other desert was the crumble which was barley warm, with only a very small jug of custard, so very disappointing deserts.

It's a nice pub, food is good but not great. Good service and nice staff.

Our group of 17 adults and a 1 year old had dinner. Excellent food - highly recommend the lamb shepherds pie. The staff were very good and very helpful. We had 6 families and we had split all orders into families. The staff kept on top of all our orders and the food came out quickly and was amazing. Highly recommend.

Really great place to drink and eat. Menu fab plus the hotel rooms are currently being renovated. Staff fab. Highly recommend a visit.

Great stay with good service and nice food

As the new owners had posted in a local group, I thought I’d have a walk round with the dog to give it a go. There’s a great selection of food and drinks, with various menu options. We started with the Moroccan hummus starter, which was absolutely fantastic, plenty to share between the two of us. I had the mixed grill at £19 which was really good value. Steak was cooked to perfection and the gammon and sausage were lovey. The skin on chips were a really nice addition and everything was really well seasoned. My good lady had a rump steak, which was a big old lump of meat with chips, onion rings and peas. All in all, I thought a good value meal and will definitely be back

First time visiting since moving to the area. Greeted by a lovely smiling female staff/manager. She didn't stop smiling throughout the service. Food was lovely. Pate starter was so yummy & hubby said mushrooms were too. I had the small plate fish & chips which was just enough for me. Hubby had beef & ale pie which was so tasty. Desserts were so good especially the cheesecake & sticky toffee pudding. Will definitely be back.😋

The food was great, the feast breakfast was very good, the staff have been great too really helpful and very friendly Indeed, the only reason it's not 5 stars is that the room was clean and comfortable but just a little dated and in need of a refresh but other than that would recommend to anyone staying for the Lytham festival as just down the road. Alan partridge would have loved it with his big plate but no Corby trouser press.

Ate here,absolutely lovely staff. Although football was on,it was quiet, we enjoyed our meal and we will be coming back.

Came for tea. Nice food, very friendly staff who couldnt do enough for us. A very nice place. Clean and tidy.

Sad to say I won't be coming back. I ordered a gammon meal. The egg was raw. So I sent it back. It took them way more then 10mins to bring it back and when they did one egg was still raw and the other had shells in, the chips was crispy as anything. All they had to do was change the egg. When I showed the management about the egg he just took the food away with no apology. Over priced food. Partner went straight to the toilet after eating his burger.

Brilliant Mother’s Day weekend. Great hotel, decent rooms, clean and well attentive staff throughout the whole establishment. Food was delicious and chef Adam came out so we could have a little chat which was great and personal touch to the whole experience. Staff very efficient and professional. Great location as well, pictures villages around and close to motorway. Will be returning soon.

Treated to mothers day meal from my family, come here every so often as walking distance from home and a nice, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We know we like it here normally but mothers day they outdid themselves! I had the pate, and for main course I had the beef which was just lovely, maybe wanted a little more red wine jus for my liking but had I asked for extra im sure it would have been provided. Didn't have room for dessert but the kids had the brownie and it looked delicious and they cleaned their plates. Staff were lovely and couldn't do enough, they really worked hard and it was appreciated when it was so busy and on a day when they would most likely want to be celebrating with their own mothers and children. Absolutely recommend to families.

Greeted with not a friendly welcome to start with also the beef was really tough …….definitely won’t be going back there are far more better places to eat locally

Stayed for one night , the staff are very friendly and make you feel at home , the menu was good and the food equally good , the rooms are a decent size and of reasonable decor , the reason for 4 stars for the room is the pillows were not so comfy , a small thing to rectify . Overall good and i would stay again .

Stayed on a Monday night, room clean tidy no breakfast, really annoyed as I booked over the phone, not told, it wasn't available not even a continental, wouldn't have booked.
