Excellent music good food and cheap pints what more could a person want for a night out, great place not been in for years and was pleasantly surprised when I returned. Darts boards everywhere if want to meet up with friends for a game or 2 and even a snooker table in the back to. Got the sharing Platter and it was very nice and easily enough for 2. Well worth a try

I recently visited The Clarence in Blackpool and had a fantastic experience. The prices are reasonable and reflect the quality of the home-cooked meals, with classic British dishes like fish and chips and hearty steaks. Drink prices, including a variety of ales, are also fair. The staff is friendly and attentive, making the atmosphere warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this pub for its great food, good value, and excellent service. Perfect for a casual meal or enjoying live sports on their large screens.

Not been in for 20 years and not changed a bit staff friendly it definitely needs a revamp decent selection of drinks

Says on the site it was dog friendly, when we walked in the bar staff said dogs are not allowed. Am glad any way it looked scruffy, rowdy lads playing pool and swearing would not go back its a dump.

Good pub, only criticism was non-stop, loud music, everywhere, so I had to talk loudly to friends to be heard.

Always a great atmosphere and a great laff the manager Is great too

Only had a coffee & beer the place looked shabby in need of updating & a good clean, toilets were falling apart. I asked for a coffee & the attitude was it was too much hard work to make one. Outside looked like a rubbish dump. I'd never go back

Just been in with my family including 2 dogs, all got seated and a lady came over and apologised saying they weren’t dog friendly. We said we’ve been here before with them but again she apologised and said the manager won’t allow them. So I pointed out to the lady that I would like her pass on to her manager that he needs to clean his pub and pointed out spilt drinks all down the wall and that my dogs were too clean to go in there anyway. The lady was nice and clearly a dog lover, but such a shame this pub has gone filthy since last time we went. Walking out to the van we spotted drinks cans, bottles and empty chicken boxes strewn all over the beer garden. Glad you aren’t dog friendly anymore, your pub has gone to rack and ruin and was absolutely filthy inside, and certainly wouldn’t have eaten in there like we intended too. Change of management needed

Filthy pub, nothing wiped down, all sticky, food cold.

Nice pub didn't eat but people who did ,I looked at theirs, it looked good and they finished what they had,disabled people can get in easily and park by the doors ,friendly staff

Popped in with my 2 grand kids for a bit of proper food instead of blackpools fast food, wasn't disappointed, food excellent and very reasonable 😀 thanks 👍🏻

A great pup to eat, have a few beers and quiet enough to have a good chat. Footy, pool and snooker is available and the staff are welcoming and friendly.

Just an old pub that needs updating, not the best of anything tbf

Did a search on Google for a dog friendly pub, & the Clarence was mentioned as being one. Turns out it isn't. Furthermore the landlord who says he has been there for 4 years wasn't even aware they had a website. They have. Also, no cask ales, no call for them apparently. More like the trend by chain pubs is to foist their chemical rubbish, full of preservatives on us because it suits them & has a much longer shelf life. I didn't stay.

Atmosphere was calm one minute then all hell broke out with people fighting, service could improve alot better

Very nice pub and very reasonable prices.

Called in here for our evening meal, the pub seemed like it was very popular with local people, we were the only ones eating at the time and had background noise of raucous laughter and swearing, I was glad I had no children with me, we have eaten here before and it was lovely, but on this occasion it was just average, my steak was tough and I wasn' t offered a steak knife so it was very hard to cut. Perhaps it may be better "in season" if more holidaymakers were in ?

No real ale on when we visited and a limited set of larger which was incompatible with my preferences. Not the pub for me.

Thank you very much for today, it was my dad's funeral wake and everyone made a big effort to make sure everything went well even though there were two wakes at the same time, they still felt private and the food was exceptionally good,

Took my mum out for a meal tonight, when asked where do you want to go? Gave her a number of options and she wanted the Clarence, I asked why the Clarence and she loves the food. My partner n myself both said the food was so tasty, the staff are pleasant and will definitely be going again for food.

Nice and pleasant staff and atmosphere...went in with the kids and there was a children's party on and they brought some spare cakes over for our kids.

If I could give The Clarence a 0 star rating I would as in my opinion a 1 start is being very generous. We called in for food at 20:20…as soon as we walked in we couldn’t help but notice how dirty it was. We went to the bar to be ignored for 5 mins! When someone finally acknowledged us we asked if we could have food and was sat at a dirty table and given 1 menu to share between 5 of us! There was kids running around and young drunk lads banging into our table. We felt really uncomfortable in the place. When we went to the bar to order our food we stood there while the bar tender served someone…the lady bartender asked the male bartender to serve us as we were ordering food, to which he started swearing about the lady bartender to the man he was serving and totally ignored us who were stood there! After a minute or two and being in total shock at the whole situation…we just walked out without ordering any food or drinks (which I think was a lucky escape) my advice to anyone who Is thinking of going for something to eat in here is DO NOT BOTHER….Just keep driving past as there is a lot of better places to eat in Blackpool

The staff at the bar was friendly. Normal prices for a pub. 1 medium glass of wine and single G&T for £7. Quiz night on Tuesdays! Food is the usual price for a pub. Good accessibility. Free parking. Great to watch football as 2 big screens and a few little ones. Snooker tables as well. Open for private hire.

Unhelpful staff,, dirty place,,, s*** food never use it again

We booked in for family meal. Their was 10 of us. The customer service was good, very polite and respectful. It was really busy when we arrived. Everyone looked happy and cheerful, we ordered 10 starters. They came around 15 mins of order. All piping hot and delicious, the kids meals came out piping hot and they ate them all. Our mains come and what can I say but. Out standing. everything was cooked to perfection. The potion sizes was good enough for myself. We have booked in again and will be telling everyone how good it really is. The bad reviews don’t do it justice ( I here their is a new chef) keep up the good work and can’t wait to return.

6 of us came in for a roast dinner today. These were absolutely beautiful and really well priced.. staff were really nice and even tho the pub was busy, we got our food really quick.. would deffo recommend

Very poor service waited a hour after our starter for our food tables were sticky and customer service was bad food was cold missing items but starter was good we left most of our main we did complain at the time nothing rectified.

called in for a quick pub lunch, ordered 3 jacket potatoes… didnt get it until 1hr 15….a lot of other people who came in afterwards already ate, been and gone. Asked how long it would be as we were thinking of leaving, (after waiting 50 mins) got quite an attitude that “ours is being cooked now, god it wont be long!” - this was the first time we asked. I understand that spuds take that long to cook, but to wait an hour 15 for food. a heads up wouldnt have went a miss? came out as just a mildly warm spud with tuna, - so clearly hadnt been in the oven all that time? no salad garnish etc with it… asked for the side salad also, 10 mins went by so called back to the bar to see how long, to find the server crying… ordered a pot of tea, they forgot about. … i dont think ive ever felt so uncomfortable when out in a new place, really weird experience. pub extremely run down and tired looking. toilets not cleaned we came in at 1 pm, and bin in loo overflowing with tissues and all over floor. wouldnt ever come back. found the staff extremely rude. or having a bad day?

Don't eat here. Steak and ale pie disgusting. Meat cheap and chewy..burgers burnt and tasteless.. not been for 6months but thought would try it again..not improved.

Great food needs a touch up but don't let that put you off, staff were great price of food was perfect me and miss had a nice afternoon bite to eat whilst kids were in school... joys of parents lol we will be going back

It was over priced for what it was. The pie I had was watery. The owner of the place was very nice. The place could do with a lick of paint and new carpets

Poor service,food isn't the best either.

Four of us visited today. Staff very nice. Drinks ok. Roast beef was hard at the edges with a fresh salad. Chips with all meals were hard. Scampi was nice. Steak was tough. Not value for money.

I visited in the morning so nothing happening therfore it would be disingenuous for me to comment further.

Absolutely terrible. We went for Sunday lunch. Stone cold and just a plate of mush.coverd in gravy and a Yorkshire pudding as flat like a pancake. Terrible

Had my daughters baby reveal here yesterday absolutely brilliant, staff delightful,friendly and accommodating,food delicious .Highly recommend and with a large family the room was ideal,definitely will book again thank you for a lovely day .

Ok, basically pub upstairs plenty tables spaced out. Downstairs games room was busy and loud. Didn't feel comfortable with covid situation so came back upstairs. Staff friendly

Well what can I say the food was absolutely lovely. nice big plates 12 out of 10 any day even went to a place on the same road and it wasn't nicer than this place all the family cleaned up but unfortunately it a shame about the locals no stop swearing being very loud why we have u kids and some of the bar staff didn't even blink a eye lid witch is a very same because it would be a lovely place with that sort of food

Been today had the super sized carvery, one of the best Sunday roasts had in a long time. 3 meats plenty of veg, roasties, mash, Yorkshire pudding and gravy all for 6.45 bargain. If you haven't been give it a try.

Walked in and felt like the place was closed. Hardly no customers and very dark inside. Very grubby. Sat down at table which was sticky. Had baby with me so had wipes and gave the table a clean and it came up black. Felt dirty walking out. Looks nice from outside. Kids meal was huge so ended eating most myself so not all bad although clearly microwave pizza. Not much healthy option for children.

We recently held a wake at The Clarence and I can’t say enough about the how well the whole process of booking the function to the actual event went. Anthony and his team provided a great spread which catered for everyone, and along with the superb bar service, a good day was had by all.

Called in for lunch after a visit to Blackpool Model Village. Friendly welcome and food was really nice.

Very friendly and obliging, food was very good and cheap too. Salt and pepper calamari and wings for starters was like a full meal. Recommended.

A lot of basic food, large quantity of chips, good beer. However, tables are dated, cutlery very cheap quality. Service ok. Large TV screen, so the pub is for fans of sport events a suitable place.

We had the most amazing meal, huge portions, everything tasted delicious and was very reasonably priced. They catered for the needs of two fussy eaters, all staff were polite, helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. They even ordered our taxi back to the caravan park. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area. Highly recommended!

My wife and I attended the Clarence after a funeral on the 12th August for a subsequent "wake.The buffet provided was of the highest quality and much appreciated by all who attended. The variety and quality were amazing.Thank you

This pub should be awesome but it has no atmosphere. Don't know why they need a drive through car park it's should be decked out and have a massive beer garden at the front, which would invite more customers. When you walk past the saddle pub and you see everyone outside it makes you want to join the party

It has got to be the worst pub we have ever been in. We ordered food but it was that distgusting we had to send it back. The environmental health need to close it down. WIll never return!!!!!!

If you like drinking from dirty glasses and sitting in a rowdy beer garden then this is the place for you, if not, avoid at all costs.

It's shut but ad to have a rest in beer garden, (bad), but carnt wait for you guys to open again.

Stopped here after leaving the resort with young family of 4. Excellent and quick table service by lady called Sam. Reasonable prices with wide range of drinks available. Quality of food was really good. Social distancing measures and hygiene is really well worked. Couldn't fault the short stay - late lunch. Would recommend
