Wait hour for the food and other half to 45 mins extra chips the steak pie chip the gravy like two think to to come out on to the pie The Washington pub meal are a lot better as they had no food left they said go to the counting house the Washington pub food is better

Been in 3 days consecutively now, great meal each time. Love the ambiance in here. Dan the kitchen manager cooks a great meal. Connor behind the bar was very chatty and friendly. General manager is a great guy to chat to. Will be coming in each week from now on.

The food was just lovely and the staff was friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience especially Lisa who was just amazing would highly recommend!

Warm and comfy spot on a cold and windy day just before Crimbo. They do a decent fish and chips in here, and also flog Carling (the worlds best lager). What's not to like, eh?

Went in on Sunday evening for a meal,had 2 meals off the classic menu for £12.49 and 2 pints total cost around £18.63 the food was good atmosphere quiet but it was Sunday evening when they close at 10pm. Price very competitive staff friendly toilets leave a lot to be desired.

There weren't too many in, but no complaints about the service, food or drinks.

Decent price, friendly vibes, none of us felt uncomfortable, the staff was amazing and the food was good, highly recommended

I came in for some food and a cheeky pint not only was I served super fast jade the girl who served me was so kind and outgoing and helped me with what was good on the menu you are a star jade :) and the food was fantastic and good price thankyou will be back again

We arrived at the counting house as we had booked a table for 10 people to have food. On arrival it was like we had entered a night club, the music was very loud and it had flashing lights. It was overcrowded with groups of people. Whilst looking around to find our table seen as we couldn’t get to the bar to speak to any staff. We noticed the chef come out of the kitchen ramming a burger down his throat as quick as he could. This was very off putting. Also, there were people blatantly taking drugs whilst at their tables and vaping. It was at this point we decided to leave the premises as we had young children with us who did not need to see this type of behaviour. Especially in a place which promotes that it is family friendly.

Genuinely crap, food closed one night at 630, Sunday lunch options sold out at 12.30 next day..., irony was the place was not very full!!!, and what had been eaten and NOT was left on tables as an advert for fact it must have been nasty😀 Pretty crap, also Upstairs toilets disgusting. Felt very dirty and tired, not a Wetherspoon's model let's say, also OTT for basic drink and beer. Can see why it is not very busy. Also saw quite a few walk thrus turned away for groups looking for Sunday lunch as I drank my pint, that's just suicidal in today's climate or dumb. Note to licencee, please take my feedback as finite.

Burger and Chips was lovely for their price, came out fast. Great atmosphere everyone including staff polite and friendly.

Nice place, food was good and always room in there.

This is the third time I have returned to this place. Each of the last two times my meal has been very good. We ordered a breakfast each today and the sausages were that bad we thought they were a poor imitation of plant based. We spoke with the manager who informed us that the company have sent them these really cheap sausages and they have been told they cannot purchase from anywhere else. This has spoiled our meal and this will be the point we will not return for food. We may come for drinks as it is a nice venue, but would no longer recommend for food if the if the parent company continue to reduce the quality of the food.

Place wad really quiet when we went in. Ordered our food at the bar. Waited about 30 mins for our food. It was cold. I took it back up and told the guy behind the bar. When they brought it back it had just been put into a microwave. Disgusted and left

Traditional and good food for a fair price

Waited 55 minutes for food. Other customers appeared to have been waiting similar times. Some even gave up waiting and got refunds. 7.15pm lights were turned down, music up that loud you couldn't hear the person sat on the otherside of the table. When the good eventually arrived it was overcooked, and it was that dark you couldn't see the food on the plate in front of you. No apology about the wait, the food, the noise, nothing. Never again.

An hour wait on food. No warning, No apologies when it eventually arrived. food was okay. But was ravenous by this point. Lights turned down mid meal, had to use my phones torch light to see what I was actually eating.

Great place needs a revamp toilets to far walk especially for people with walking problems

Love coming here, I pop in every time I’m in town, the staff are all incredibly friendly and welcoming, nothing is ever too much hassle for them, they always go above and beyond on every aspect. 5 stars 🤩

I liked this bar. Good service and nice beer. However my thoughts changed when I went to the toilet. The smell was so bad of ammonia that I was almost gagging. Why let such a nice bar down by overlooking this basic necessity. This would have been a 5* review if it wasn't for this oversight. Bleach? A bit of urinal cake? Costs pennies. Everyone who was in there was commenting on how bad the toilets were. Crazy to leave it like that. Come on Greene King up your game on clean facilities. The old decor from when it used to be a bank is there in all it's glory to see. It's a beautiful building

Just here for weekend so popped in for food and drinks. Great menu choice food hot and very tasty. Beer good definitely return

My 2nd visit here the staff are great and serve a decent pint although it's a bit pricey for a pint the food is excellent would highly recommended this place

This Pub was really quiet and had beer prices a bit dearer than any others that we went to in Blackpool (and we went to a good few) We only stayed for one drink each and went elsewhere. I've since been back to Blackpool and can confirm that "The Slug & Lettice" Bar are competing with this place as the dearest place around Blackpool!

Place is a lovely old building ,tables were sticky , food was great seating had holes in them ,colour scheme could be a lot brighter and more welcoming it,maybe greene king should take a leaf out off wetherspoons book .I seen a few people leave before ordering or even sitting down on the ripped leather seats .

Good food nice staff. Only downfall I would say is it's decor the seats are ripped toilets are dirty and obviously attracts the wrong crowd for drinking but otherwise a nice place.

Last time i came here during summer i put a bad review on but i deleted it shortly after because i thought it was unfair. They was obviously having staffing issues. Today i went in and i ordered a drink on the app, it came within 10 minutes. I asked the staff how long did would be he said 20 minutes. It was brought to my table within 10. Staff where very friendly and helpful, he wiped my table for me. Chick and mix was on offer £6. Bargin. Thanks guys see u again soon! If i had to nit pick i would complain about the flies flying around due to the doors being open. But it is summer after all!

Came into this place with my kids GF and mother and that's where we went wrong! We came.for food as our local GK pubs have decent enough food so with the app and discounts etc we get we were happy to hopefully enjoy a nice family meal upon arriving into Blackpool! Ordered a drink from the bar after receiving a free drink voucher which wouldnt work but removed the said voucher from my app. The guy behind the bar with ginger hair (didn't get his name) was great about it we cant fault his help and understanding of the situation, however the voucher wouldn't work so i used a 20% voucher instead to pay for the drinks. I then went on the pool table with my little man and after my son potting the white the table broke and I wasn't offered a refund just that they were going to contact the table supplier £1.50 down As we were hungry and all.things come in 3s we ordered 4 x roast dinners (massive mistake) they were immediately sent back as the please were like bullets, carrots cold, roasties burnt, I can go on but I witnessed 7 dinners being returned. They apologised and gave us a refund but what a terrible experience and a massive let down. Despite us sending 4 dinners back for genuine reasons the table next to me had 2 dinners ordered prior.to.our complaints and yet again they were the same! You would expect them to make sure the next 2 meals are perfect but it seems like they are microwaving the food and have given up.

Omg what a dump... Sorry to say but it needs a major make over and a thorough clean... Can't believe this place is allowed to operate and serve the public. Just like weatherspoons get your hiking boots on if you want to use the toilet but I don't recommend as they are broken or dirty.

Service was good from lads on Friday. Went in again on Sunday and waited nearly an hour for a microwaved lasagne with a withered salad. Wee lassies trying to run the show

Don't not bring your children on a Saturday night (6.00pm) my partner took my little boy to the toilet and they was a bag of coke on floor and no toilet roll they don't care about family at all

Got there and had to wait for the bar staff to finish messaging on his phone before he would serve me. Even though he stared at me half way through, fully aware we were waiting. Once the food arrived he pretty much threw the plates at us. All but 1 of the meals, that came 20mins later. All the food was dry and overcooked. Pictures don't quite do it justice. The onion rings were burnt and tasted like they were cooked with other foods. Considering the prices I expected better.

Best experience you will get there ,the place is highly recommend,best food ,best services and best atmosphere.

Excellent place if you have a dog to go and have a bite to eat or a drink. We've been twice now in 2 days. Not too pricey either and have offers on certain days like £5 burger served with 3 items and fries. Sirloin Steak with fries and peas just £10.99, bargain and the dog loves it too. Had some sausages and a burger in the last 2 days obviously without the bun and condiments. Really friendly staff. Highly recommended.

The food, burger and fries wasn't great. The burger was underseasoned and the fries were too soft and did not smell fresh. We waited 1 hour for our food even though there was no traffic. The waiter forgot our order. Then he forgot about dessert. We waited another half hour. We had to remind them of our presence twice. I don't recommend it, it's a waste of time and taste buds.

The food was lovely, the Chef and the staff ate lovely people.

Been hear 45 minutes hardly anyone in wait 1 hour for food and that was just the starter no butter for corn on the cob so waited even longer and then waited ages for mains

Dirty tables service took 35mins when turned up was disgusting as if sitting too long under heat lamp. When left the table next to us still had not been cleared away after about 1 and half hours half menu not available no stock

Some great value drinks and service is very good. Would recommend.

Very Poor, not our first time in the Counting House however it will definitely be our last! Gammon was terrible, we had to send it back. The Fat rind was excessive at best, chips were warm, service was poor. Sausage and mash was dry. Again service was less than good. We are a fan of Greeneking and we are Blackpool natives however this experience was extremely poor. Pub looked tired staff were not attentive and in our opinion didn’t really seem to care. All of which gives a bad impression of Blackpool.

We were staying in Blackpool for a few days and went for a drink in the Counting House. Really loved the pub everyone was so friendly and in particular Craig behind the bar gave exceptional service. He was so welcoming, friendly and very efficient. A real credit to the pub. We enjoyed it so much we went back in there the following day to watch the England game and what a great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Great atmosphere, cheaper drinks and food unlike most. Attentive and well mannered staff especially Jade, will do banter if you banter with them which is good. Got a DJ on the weekend who's brilliant, quick and affective security. Can't fault the place. ☆☆☆☆☆

They sell non alcoholic beers which is good, they do need to sell non alcoholic wines though too which would give more choice to customers, other than that a nice little pub with friendly staff 😊

Love this place, it's a dog friendly pub and the bar staff are really nice guys, they were friendly towards me and my brother and gave my dog reggie water and treats, a very welcoming place to visit, will definitely be back.

I went to the counting house at the weekend for something to eat and a few drinks with friends, I was pleasantly surprised about the overall experience, we went to the bar and was served by a lovely man called Craig he was very friendly laughing and joking with us and made us feel really welcome, we ordered food and drinks and the price was very reasonable, the food came quickly and was hot and very tasty and the drinks were perfect to wash all that delicious food down with, the bar was clean and the atmosphere was very good we will definitely be visiting again soon Thankyou for a lovely evening Craig and the rest of the team

Amazing food & staff - place could do with abit of a freshen up like the seating with rips. Great menu choice, even a doggy station! Food was piping hot and large portions. Drinks were a great price. Staff were lovely and not phased by my toddler running about!

Not much for this the toilets were not very good they were very dirty there were broken plates in the ladies and the disabled toilet was not clean

Attended the pub today, told there would be a 35 minute wait for food, howevwr it arrived on the hour mark. Not very busy in there, so would dread to think how they would be on a busy day. Food when it arrived was ok.
