Harry Ramsden's in Blackpool

Food was nice. Service was horrendous. Glasses for drinks came out soaking wet. When asked for them to be replaced we got huffed at. No manners from staff, clearly hated working there.

Great food and great staff. Jadwiga was our server this time and she was so helpful and loved chatting with the kids

The food was fresh, fast and delicious. Fish and chips incredible and the halloumi bites were outstanding! The customer service was some of the best I have ever received. Joel was so lovely and welcoming alongside being highly professional. Not once did we feel forgotten or hassled, he looked after us perfectly! Would definitely return for the food and the customer service.

Was seated by manager who gave us the menus, then ignored us. At least 5 tables left before getting any service. After 20mins being ignored, we called a staff member over so we could order, which she kindly took. However that order did not arrive either, when duty manager was asked he said what was ordered was not on the menu ( Bailey's Latte)? However Bailey's was clearly visible on self. Manager explained oh it's just there. We cancelled our request and left, service was non existent and certainly not customer focused. If it was possible to leave minus Star rating, we'd give minus 2*

Debbie who served us was absolutely fantastic. Credit to the organisation. She was smiley and so helpful to two more mature ladies out on a weekend in Blackpool! Thank you lovely lady. Xx

Came for afternoon tea. We were warmly greeted by Chanel and Kasia. Service was very prompt and they explained everything enthusiastically to us. The quality of the food was good and would certainly come again. Credit to all those involved

If you enjoy battered gherkins and bananas then this is the place for you. Having said that the fish and chips are great and the service is too.

The food was lovely always is. But that is all, we went on the night of the fireworks so it was super busy which is to be expected. We went to the quick service side not the restaurant. However I have never ever seen a dirtier establishment. I took the children to the toilet and they weren’t just unclean they were rancid. Dirty nappies open on the floor, overflowing nappy bin. Tissue all over the floor, the floor was soaked in urine 🤢 this is an eating establishment, unacceptable. When I told someone about this I was met with a very blazer ‘oh are they’ whilst they and other members of staff stood around doing nothing. They also closed off half of the seating area, which on a night like that when it’s so busy isn’t the right thing to do! The staff were just not bothered, couldn’t be bothered being there by the looks of it! It was really really bad we waiting 39 minutes to get in then another 30 minutes for the food my husband missed the fireworks we had gone to see. Just overall rubbish, I would not go back here again regardless that the fish and chips are delish, it would and could very possibly have made me sick considering Iv been up half the night since visiting. I’m not usually one to leave bad reviews but seriously something needs to be done

Food was good and came quickly, peas were a little cold. Served by Debbie and she was brilliant. So friendly and put lots of fruit in the pimms. Thank you.

We had ordered the Afternoon Tea from Wowcher. It was absolutely gorgeous. Loads of choice, all beautifully cooked and tasted amazing. KASIA couldn't have looked after us any better, she is a credit to the Restaurant and we will definitely be back soon. Thanks again. 😀

Good choices fish served in 3 sizes large ,regular and small. Senior special for just over £10 for small fish and chips plus a giant pot of teas equal to at least 5/6 mug fulls . Also included is a sweet bread and butter pudding with custard or ice cream .Great service from Kasia.and Chantelle

Afternoon fish & chips tea. Excellent service. Fab food. But the desert stand was nothing I would eat. Needs to simplify the desert stand. But would recommend.

5 diners..... Expected more than we got. Fish chips & peas, batter was overdone on the two meals. Chicken strips meal, bun was stale, had to ask for replacement. One of us had bread with their meal, bread was fresh, butter very warm & runny. Drinks glasses have gone past their best days, looked very old and scratched. Table was very sticky to touch, decor inside very drab and dark. We were sat close to the cashiers till, 1.5 metres away, he turned and faced us as we ate, made us feel uncomfortable until I returned the favour, he then moved off. Expensive visit, but, that's expected for a day out.

Food was excellent, our server Debbie was fantastic, served us in a timely manner as we asked for 10 minutes between starter and main which she arranged. Resturant was clean and tidy, plenty of spaces so no waiting round which I thought was usual for Harry's on a Friday night in Blackpool.

Lovely restaurant. Very pleasant environment. Service was exceptional. Was greeted by a lovely woman by the name of Deborah (Debbie). Couldn’t help enough. Very enthusiastic & bubbly, making a fuse over my child. Food was delightful, very tasty and good quality. A bit pricy but you get what you pay for. From the service to the food, the price is justified in my opinion. I will be returning!

Service and the chips were great only let down by the scampi which was a dark brown and must of been cooked in old oil. The fish was also not a light golden colour but had a dark tint to it and the large fish was the size of a regular

Booked for the afternoon tea, the restaurant was quiet so there wasn't much atmosphere (not staff fault). Some parts of the afternoon tea were cold which was disappointing but overall the experience was fun and different. Debbie was a really pleasant server, friendly and chatting with a smile

Lovely friendly and efficient staff. The rest rooms were very clean. The restaurant itself is also very clean, bright and spacious and the decor is nice. We sat in a booth and there was lots of room. Rachael served us and she was very friendly and checked that we were happy with everything and whether we needed anything else. The fish and chips were lovely, with a generous portion.

Jadwiga made us a wonderful cocktail. The whole service was spot on.

We come here every year we come to Blackpool, just cant beat it! So happy to see Debbie the waitress again, she always greets us with such a smile we instantly feel at ease! She can never do enough for all the customers i always think. Many thanks Debbie, see you again in October!

Recently visited Harry Ramsdens for dinner I had fish and chips which was outstanding full of flavour and not full of oil like most places. excellent customer services was provided by a cheerful sole named Debbie she looked after are table exceptionally well and provided us with all are needs will definitely recommend to anyone and will most certainly coming again 👍🏼

Went for an 'afternoon tea'. Was amazing for the price, you get fish sliders, fish cake, battered sausage, fried pickles, chips and onion rings. Debbie our server was so helpful and lovely 😁 would definitely do it again!!!.

Really great and friendly service, very attentive but not overbearing. The food was surprisingly really good, decent size portion, fish was nice a fresh, not too greasy. The chips were nice too, not a bad price for a seaside town. The only let down was the smell of the stairs down to the toilets, and the toilets themselves, they didn't look unclean, they just smelt of wee and walls in the actual cubicle were mildewy and mouldy. But overall a really pleasant experience! Thanks to all the staff whom served us.

Our experience at Harry Ramsden's Fish and Chip was disappointing from start to finish. The restaurant was eerily empty, creating a haunting atmosphere. We ordered the Fish and Chip Afternoon Tea with Prosecco for Two, and it was a letdown. The food was excessively greasy, with everything dripping in oil. The platter was mostly filled with cheap fried items—chips, onion rings, and sausages—with only two small fish cakes representing the "fish" portion. We were expecting a more balanced and enjoyable meal, but instead, it was just a heap of fried food. We won't be returning.

Our waitress Debbie was very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely food and a very clean restaurant.

Should have taken the fact the place was empty as a sign to not bother . We ordered two lots of fish, chips and peas with a cup of tea . Cost just over £30 and whilst the fish was ok , they weren't particularly big . The chips however , we're horrid . They were dry , shrivelled and literally looked like they had been saved over from the previous opening and reheated under dry light . They could not have been anywhere near fresh. Peas at least were ok, but the tea was poor too. Oh and the toilet .....vile 🤢. Had not seen bleach or a cleaning brush in a while and absolutely no toilet paper in sight . Would not recommend .

We always look forward to a Harry's infact we love Harry's but the chips were warm ups. The fish was grey inside and was two pieces of fish joined together in a greasy batter. Worst fish and chips I have ever eaten. We will not ne back 😠 😡

Nice place to escape from the busy streets outside but food, I don’t think so, my prawns look burnt and salty, basic fish and chips you can find somewhere else a lot better.

The potatoes were mixed old and new. A new one was placed on top of the old one underneath. We couldn't eat potatoes. The fish was nice. The atmosphere was repulsive and not very clean. I didn't like it.

We visited at 12 noon on a Tuesday in the school summer holidays. A really lovely girl greeted us and served us throughout - so helpful, attentive and approachable throughout and who immediately gave my little girl crayons with the kids menu. Great menus, fantastic service, food: absolutely spot on chippy food. Clean and lovely interior. We sat in a really nice booth. My mum had the 60plus menu which was great value. A lovely, large family restaurant and in a perfect Blackpool location. Price good too! Would definitely return (especially for the curry sauce!).

We had an exceptionally good specials lunch which consisted of Large Fish,Chips & Peas & a regular Coke Zero x2 for just under £24.The batter was crisp & non greasey.The Chips were to a high standard too.Would go back again when in area.

Visited here today and thoroughly enjoyed our experience, we was greeted by a really nice and pleasant staff member, she quickly seated us and came back shortly after to take our order, the service was great and the food amazing, I had a chicken and mushroom pie, it was full of both the chicken and mushroom, my friend had the cod, she said it was very tasty and not at all greasy, the young lad had chicken bites which he wasted no time in devouring, chips were plentiful and hot and freshly cooked, the sides that came with the meals were also very nice, would definitely recommend trying here, we definitely will be returning.

Went here for the 1st time on Saturday 10th August. We're a large family of 2 adults and 5 kids. We were waited on by Chanel. Have to say she was ace, nothing was too much trouble and the food was lovely and didn't have to wait an age for it to come. And with having a young child that can be important. Chanel [number 1] was professional and polite and like I've already said nothing was to much trouble. We'll be coming back on our next visit to Blackpool. We'd definitely be recommending Harry Ramsons to fiends and family Thank you from the Farmer Family

Visited during the air show. It was busy but pretty poor all round. Ordering was clunky and requires your phone number otherwise you cant order. Wait times were l-o-n-g. Cheesy chips were OK but quite a few had green on them. Tables were sticky, vinegar plentiful but salt sporadic. No leadership behind the counter. Not really up to scratch Harry

Absolutely appalled this place has certainly declined...staff great food was horrendous fish bites clearly cooked in old oildark brown batter with under done fish...chips anemic...gravy tasted like cheap powder mix, mushy peas vearly out if a can very disappointing...surrounding filthy...toilet broken and cistern needs mending loose from the wall... Needless to say I will be dinning elsewhere in future ,such a shame as I've skways gone in here since my teens...😪

Worth the money, lovely relaxed and classic atmosphere and delicious, generous food. Staff were attentive although we did have a slight error in our order but this didn't affect the experience. Worthwhile for a taste of traditional dining and not cowering in a doorway eating some greasy fish and chips from the cheapest place you can find.
