The Cider Works in Dover

My husband and I had the most perfect and amazing wedding at The Cider Works in September 2024; it was everything we dreamed of and more. Jodie, Guy and their fantastic team could not have made our day any better. From the first moment we viewed the venue and met Jodie we knew it was the one for us. Everything was relaxed and stress free and the food was outstanding, all of our guests have commented on what a gem of a venue we found. The shepherd huts were so comfortable and the milk for tea/coffee, orange juice and snacks provided were very welcomed. Being able to sit around the fire pit at the end of the night with our loved ones was another lovely addition. We will be returning for dinner very soon. Thank you all for making our wedding day so magical.

Just got back from first time at this restaurant even though it is so near to where we live. Should have definitely gone before food was of the highest quality. One of the owners served us and was really friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back . The menu changes monthly with some additional changes in each month. The venison was cooked to perfection. Got the keys when we were there to look around the letting accommodation of shepherds huts they also looked lovely. Well done on your business look forward to our next visit.

This destination is quite outstanding. I attended a wedding and every detail of the meet and greet, the ceremony, the reception, the wedding breakfast, the party and the late night snack was exceptionally thought out. I had the pleasure of staying in a “sheppard’s hut” on site, once again every creature comfort was covered. The food is high quality, excellently prepared. Nothing was too much for Josie and her exemplary staff. It’s hard to pull off an event without any hitches, but the Cider Works did it.

We came to my sisters and brother in law's wedding on 27/07/2024. All I can say is wow the place is absolutely fantastic the staff are all so friendly especially Jodie and the young bar girl (was wearing a black bandana on her head). The main meal, buffet in the evening and the breakfast was spot on it was so delicious no complaints whatsoever. The grounds were beautiful and everywhere was so clean. We stayed in one of the shepherds huts after the wedding they were fantastic it was all clean there was milk and juice in the fridge as well as a basket with crisps and cookies which is a lovely touch. The campfire outside the huts was lovely to sit around with marshmallows and a few drinks. We will definitely be returning for a meal in the near future and an overnight stay.

We have planned our wedding here for nearly 2 years and 27th july 2024 was the date. Throughout the process jodie has been amazing helping me and my partner plan our special day and all the staff at the cider works did not disappoint. They made our day feel magical and we had so many positive things said to us throughout the evening. The food was amazing and the hospitality was outstanding, for anyone planning a meal out or a wedding this is the place to be we could not be happier

Fantastic service Amazing food would highly recommend beautiful restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble. Can’t fault this place if you’re looking for somewhere to go as a couple or a birthday party or a wedding service was fantastic atmosphere was wonderful.

The venue was absolutely perfect for our baby shower, our day was made extra special by Jodie and her team, the food was delicious and everyone complemented how beautiful the venue was. Couldn’t recommend The Cider Works more for an event.

Came here for the valentines set dinner, we’ve been here several times before and we’ve always been blown away by the quality of food and service. The Sunday roast is exceptional also

We celebrated our wedding here on New Year’s Eve and I cannot recommend Jodie and her team enough. Nothing was too much trouble. She listened to all our wishes and our day could not of been any more perfect. The food was amazing and so much of it. The venue is beautiful and we stayed in the bridal shepherded hut, it was so clean and the bed was really comfortable. Wish we could do it all over again 🥰

I went to the Cider Works at Waldershare near Dover for one of their Christmas Celebration Evenings. We arrived at 7pm and at the entrance for an very attractive twinkling archway, which made you feel you were entering a festive building. Once inside the Cider Works, we were shown to our table for five, we order drinks which were brought to our table. The ambience of the venue was friendly and welcoming. We had a three course menu, which was outstanding and beautifully presented. The quality of the food was excellent, with good portions. It was interesting to read on the Cider Works website, all the food is locally sourced, some grown at the Cider Works and the Chef makes all the sources, gravy etc. Once the meal was finished we had excellent entertainment, with a solo singer and disco. The music catered for all ages and we danced the night away. The staff had smiley faces, excellent customer service, which made our Christmas evening a great night out and excellent value for money.

Went to the cyder works in jovemenber for Saturday lunch. Very enjoyable, even though the food was pricey. Will return but not to often because of the cost.

I revisited The Cider Works last night. It hasn't changed at all since my last visit. The food was amazing, and Jodie and the staff were friendly and attentive. They re getting booked up now until after Christmas, but give them a ring and you might just be lucky. This is one of the best places to eat in the area.

We were lucky enough to be taken as a birthday present to eat at The Cider Works recently. Wow! The chef certainly knows how to pack a punch of flavour! Food is a mix of traditional with a modern style, all produce in season, all home made, everything is generous & beautifully presented. The Cider Works is a welcoming, rustic and cosy place which is a hidden treasure & we can totally recommend it.

Lunch with a friend today, She had chicken and I had hake. Both beautifully cooked and nicely presented. Followed by a small tart tatin served ( served with cheese) which we shared. The tart was particularly delicious! The restaurant has great outside space and does weddings and events. Not too busy today but we will definitely return during the week and also for Sunday lunch. Highly recommend.
