A really nice pub let down by lack of service. It was a rugby game day so it was really busy. But only two members of staff on the bar. We waited 20 mins and ended up leaving without having a drink as wasn't close to being served.

Lived in Gloucester for 22 years and never been to this pub before...well wasn't I missing a trick?!! The music was fab, I danced all night and the landlady was lovely. Thanks for a great evening with my girlfriends..I'll def be visiting again 😍🤩

What a complete waste of our time and disappointing experience coming to this pub, travelled to pub especially only to find pub shut, phoned up as lights only to find out from landlord or bar staff member reply “we are closed to quiet and have cashed up sorry” Not recommending this pub would also advise others not to bother going there Other local pub nearby was brilliant welcoming and great cider.

Fabulous pub with an old comfy feel. Awesome reggae nights with the most fantastic DJ that covers everyone's taste. Bar staff are brilliant and friendly. Highly recommended

Having asked for a drink in a glass and refused due match day! I pointed out that other punters had glasses to which I was informed they are my locals. This is not only derogatory but also discrimination. This is after all a pub not an events stadium!!

Nice little characterful boozer - ideal for a quick drink before heading to watch the rugby at Gloucester's ground just nearby!

Good service however it is a bit rough and ready. The garden could do with a sort out.

What a lovely little pub, surprisingly not very busy given that they were showing the 6 Nations on the TV, the landlady/barmaid was so accommodating and friendly, we shall definitely be returning 😊

Cider Tree are a fabulous local pub just off Worcester Street. It's a mainstay of locals and really popular on match days at Kingsholm Stadium. Lots of televised sport on offer. They specialise in ciders and also real ales. Prices are reasonable too. Well kept and inviting with its traditional interior and solid oak, bespoke bar. But what strikes me is the friendship and camaderie of the clientelle, staff and landlords -Jess and Mike, who always make you welcome

Was a shame for a cider pub not to have any proper still cider in place. Also it felt like we were constantly ignored for service compared to the people sitting near the entrance. Ended up leaving to find somewhere we wouldn't be ignored

If you like cider this is the place to come. I had a beer cuz I was driving, just Doombar was on offer as an ale. Only 2 other punters when I was in there, but the very amenable barmaid chatted to them and kept them entertained. Very clean and tidy in there and lovely and warm. Wish I could've stayed for more but I was on my own and had to drive as well.

Nice beer garden/patio with covered area. Friendly and inviting. Cosy inside. Handy for the rugby and events at kingsholm.

It's not hard to tell who's next when waiting, bar staff need training on how to handle this when its busy, it took over 20 mins to be served, kept being ignored, other customers jumped the queue and got served straight away, when we complained we were told we could leave if we did not like it.

Decent enough pre game place to meet people, but more staff and less "music" please. Great for cider though.

Lovely pub. We came here for a few drinks before the rugby and really enhoyed ourselves. Everyone was really friendly. The service was quick and beers were a reasonable price. They also have a massive pub garden whichbwas really nice. Cant beat a pub garden with a beer on a sunny afternoon. This is one for checking out. 😁

A very traditional​ pub feel in that it's a little bit spit and sawdust, but the selection of drinks (particularly cider) on tap is immense. Very popular when Gloucester Rugby are playing at home.

Was pick pocketed while having a pre match drink on Friday evening. The little prat went into my coat pocket that was over the chair I was sitting on. The wife of the couple we were with spotted him slipping down in his seat next to me and going thro my pocket. He then got up and walked outside - followed by me and the other mate I was with. He tried to make out he was on a phone call rambling on about the fact he had not drunk much and kept wandering thro the cars parked...when he realised he was not getting away with it he quickly ran around a car and threw the tickets under a parked car and went back into the pub. Advised the landlady what had happened and she reluctantly came out from behind the bar and I pointed to the culprit....not sure what action she took. But if you want to simply go for a pre match drink suggest another pub might be more acceptable. Just to complete the episode the tickets were senior citizen JS stand tickets purchased on line with my name entered on all 4 tickets.

Don't be fooled by the name, the cider on offer here is the same as you'd find at any grotty city centre pub. Oh and the bar staff were rude and surly, he was put out that I'd distracted him from his game of online poker.
