This place was surprisingly very decent and the food was great.. generous portions and very tasty. If in the area and they are open it's a defo must! Can't go wrong.. they do all sorts.. from kebab to pizzas and fish and chips.

Always order from here. After tonights order never again. Just lost a regular customer. Ordered 6 fish bites and got given a chopped up piece of fish. What an absolute joke honestly im fuming. No decency to even call me and say they don't have them I would accept that. Say Goodbye to a regular

I love the battered chips..very friendly and polite owners.. I'd definitely recommend especially for the battered chips..delicious. Always a pleasure to coming here...the food is still as tasty as ever with lovely owners.

Called in here with my partner after he had finished work the staff are pleasant the chips & kebab were cooked to perfection very nice would highly recommend here!

Where do I start.... Crunchy kebab meat aswell as cold even though he cut it in front of me stale and cold chips. If business is that bad please stop cooking and put a collection tin on your door!!!!! I would happily pay for decent food but this was a total joke.

First time using this chippy and was very pleased indeed. Orange chips were lovely and a decent size fish too. Even the delivery driver was quick and she was really polite. All round great experience! Will be using again.

This place has changed management so many times. Thought I try it out as under new management. Chips felt like been cooked ages ago and were dry. Curry sauce doesn't taste like curry sauce. Won't be coming back. The fish and chip shop in Oldbury is much better

Went here tonight for the first time in 2 years, will never go back again! Customer service shocking, two woman behind counter and no acknowledgement at all, don't even think the one woman even worked there. Other walking round cleaning kebab trays with horrible cloth, looks like it could do with food hygiene inspection

When I lived in the area many years ago this was the best chippy in tividale. Decent size fish and great chips. Plus all the usual things that you find in a good chippy. Nice and friendly staff. Update i recently visited this chippy after many years and i found the decor to still be the same and well looked after but the chips were not up to scratch.

Half the food I ordered didn't even show up practical gave them £10 for nothing in total absolutely disgusting never again

I’ve ordered from here tonight first time ever 28/3/20 I get things atm are all over the place but I ordered for me and my family due to being self isolated at home. I ordered at 5.40 it’s now 20.11 and still no food has arrived, I’ve tried phoning the shop over 20 times to not be able to get through because I want to cancel my order and get a refund for my food as my children have eaten something else now and it’s there bed time. A £20 order now somewhere that I dot want so out of pocket because can’t get through to Uber either who I ordered through😡😡😡 Won’t be even attempting to order from here again!!!

Placed an order at 538pm finally came at 730pm Had to throw it in the bin as it came cold and there was grease every where wont be ordering from there again

Ordered food at 6.50pm still waiting at 8.25pm ring to find out to be told orders left 5 mins ago still waiting 30 mins later. Then decide to tell me that was mistake and now on way. Told em keep food I'll order elsewhere. Ridiculous service.

Agree with others! Rubbish shop only there to increase there profits!!! They charge 70p extra for curry sause wen asked if u could hav it in a pot rather than on top of chips!!! Do not go here people! They need to be closed!!!!!

I am appalled by the service I have received. I placed two orders at the "chip n whale" at 7pm (27/12/2019). I got told I was going to receive the delivery between 7.15pm and 7.40pm on the UberEats app. At 8pm, I had still not received my orders so I called the restaurant and they said it had just left to be delivered. By 8.20pm, I still had not received the food so called again to be told again that the delivery had just left. I then called UberEats to be told that there is nothing they can do as its the restaurant's driver delivering my food, not an UberEats driver. The food finally arrived at 9pm. I am completely unsatisfied with the Chip 'n' Whale and how they lied to me twice saying that the delivery driver had left with my food when he clearly had not, rather than just explaining that there was a problem or a delay with my orders.

2 hours wait and 27 attempts to call... Had to go somewhere else for food and they can't even answer the phone to cancel or find out where it is. Apalling service! Would rate 0 but wouldn't let me

Shocking! Had a meal from here 2 weeks ago. Disgusting food standards. Inside my Tikka kebab was a piece of metal swarf. I left a review on Just Eat who we ordered it with,but this review has been removed. Avoid this place like the plague. This should not be in a meal,how it got there god only knows. Check your food carefully,as this could have been particularly nasty had I swallowed it. Unbelievable.

I think it may have changed hands recently and, in my opinion, the quality of the food isn't quite what it used to be. Having said that the food is still good, good portion sizes and a wide variety to choose from.

The delivery time was absolutley out of order. The food was soggy and looked out of date. I rang up and the man who answered said I could have a refund and a driver would be sent the next day at half 4. The driver didn't turn up so I rang again and they said they can't give a refund unless I came into the shop with the food. Don't eat from here

Disgusting food... cold saveloy sausage and the cheapest nastiest tasting mushy peas I've ever had! And not the first time this has happened but now I'll never eat from there again especially when there's a lovely chip shop a mile away on regent rd by the co op

Very disappointed. .took an hour and a half to be delivered so the food was cold..the fish was awful ..very strange taste and texture and chips were anaemic and soggy..went in the bin..utter waste of money

Ordered battered fish and chips, there was more batter than fish, and not a lot off batter on the chips. Was looking forward to eating them and when I opened it , just utter disappointment!! I got Soggy nasty chips and batter with a small bit of fish.

Food is so dry and horrible and the girl that works there has put me off for life, her house is full of fleas and she's the biggest tramp I know! I will never eat from there ever again! As soon as I had my food I tried a chip and threw it straight in the bin! Disgusting, and the girl had definitely put me off for good, she's dirty and should not be working around food. If I could put less than 1 star I would.
