The Cherry Tree in Melton

Absolutely fantastic! I stopped by today at 1:30 PM for a spot of lunch, just before the kitchen closed at 2 PM. I ordered the Sausage and Mash with Garden Peas and Onion Gravy, followed by a Banana Split with vanilla ice cream for dessert. The young ladies behind the bar were very kind and polite. The cutlery and sauces are self-serve, but the food is delivered straight to your table. The Sausage and Mash was delicious, the gravy was hot, and the peas were cooked to perfection. The Banana Split was fantastic, you get a lot for what you pay, and it goes down a treat after such a brilliant main!

Had our first breakfast at the cherry tree absolutely brilliant great value for money cooked to perfection and also a gluten option for a friend excellent quality and service highly recommend.

First time here for a long time. Place has been tastefully decorated and was very pleasing to see. Guy behind bar was very friendly and efficient. The food was piping hot and delicious.

Great staff and lovely afternoon pint in the sun. Friendly locals too. Live football and food available.

Family friendly. Fair prices. Very friendly staff. I can recommend the bacon-cheese burger.

I had the BBQ chicken and it was phenomenal. Quite often at the price point of the Cherry Tree the chicken is overcooked, but it was wonderful. Juicy and tender throughout, the bacon was also well cooked. Fantastic meal, much better than I'd expected it to be!

Not very busy but it was only 5 o’clock

A 1970's estate type pub. There are two bars, one with a pool table and the other with seating. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food was good and inexpensive. (Food is served in the larger of the two bars). It is an 'Estate pub' so don't expect anything special. Overall, a place that we would visit again when in the area.

Nice pub friendly staff manager/owner seemed friendly decent atmosphere restaurant seating area is nice the separate bar next to that is spacious with dart board pool table few outdoor benches, yet to try the food but sounds and looks good overall a pleasant pub for a decent day/night out.

Arrived on the 12th feb around 5 45 pm for an evening meal to be told there only taking bookings, there were plenty of tables and just a few reserved, people were still getting there food brought out who hadn't booked either. There should have been a big sign on the door saying bookings only cus then we wouldn't of gone in.

Mobile 4G doesn't work inside there is a mobile mast right outside so forced to use there WiFi cloud but you can't log onto it as the IP address is not visible and router needs rebooting but noone knew how to do this. Step out side in beer garden and back on full mobile network 4G /5G available.

Clean n tidy, we'll kept beers. Doonbar spot on and at the right price.

New decor and light fittings are making the ambience around the pub alot friendlier. The staff are amazing, even more so with restrictions in place.

Great local pub, you can appreciate the hard work the new owners have put in. It's not a gastro pub, but it serves reasonably priced, hearty meals for the whole family, in a nice atmosphere with friendly staff. And a good selection of drinks. And a good sized car park. A nice treat, without breaking the bank, and just on our doorstep, get down there and support our local businesses

Enjoyable visit, staff appeared friendly and attentive, menu is fine with adequate choices, food needs slight attention to detail, my steak was ordered medium rare, which it was, however the charing on the outside was over done and left an acrid after taste.

The pub appeared to have fallen on hard times on the occasion of our last visit a few weeks ago, but now seems to be improving rapidly following a change of management. There was a definite 'buzz' about the place and it is clearly once again very much a community centered estate pub offering good grub at a very reasonable price. Recommended - if we don't use our local pubs, we risk losing them!

My feelings on my visit to the cherry tree are mixed. Staff was very friendly but that's as far as it goes. My meal was awful chips were raw & the chicken & leek pie was terrible. It was rock hard my knife won't even cut it. It ad 4 very small cubes of chicken in it & as for the leek there wss none. To top it all very lumpy gravy. If that wasne't enough the music was played very loud & it was christmas songs. I like christmas songs but in feb. We will not be returning.

For a pub that is situated in an area that is highly populated it doesn't seem to take advantage of it's full potential. This should be and could be a buzzing venue but it's lacking in a lot, uninterested staff I sat for 10 minutes before anybody noticed I was there because they were involved in a conversation in the other bar in full view of me. It's a crying shame because the pub has everything going for it except for poor management and a good clean

The food takes to long to be brought to the table and when it comes only 2 came and the other was at least another 10 minutes and the chips had been re hotted up and beef burger was burnt I will not be recommend it nor going back and it spoilt someone birthday the photo is not what we had so ignore the photo

It has changed a lot... the staff are friendly and the food is absolutely gorgeous and served warm. I really enjoyed my Steak. It may be a little expensive but heck.. it's worth it! I'll definitely be going there again sometime soon - Very Impressed - Keep It Up! 😊

Menu not as good as last week as it has changed. Think the big wigs at Milton Pub are scimping on products and charging more.

Couldn't get a children's meal or beans on toast because no options on till?? prices have all gone up ridiculously high and also couldn't get latte coffee and when ordered a different coffee the milk was 2 days out of date!!!

came for meal on Sunday and was delighted. booked a table for 7 . Very quiet and food really well cooked and tasty. mixed grills . chicken and various others. lovely lady who was on bar. enjoyed so much came for mum's birthday breakfast on Monday. Different staff nice again and great price. More should support it. Thanks folks will be back when in the area again .

We ate here last weekend, I would not recommend it. They don't stock everything that's on the menu. My meal had been put in the microwave for too long and was so dry the sauce had turned into hard lumps!!

Terrible when u order chicken and they turn round and say you cant have it as its not been defrosted yet!.

Enjoyed a meal with family. Had to settle for bottled beer as the pumps were empty. Food is usual pub grub, but no complaints.

Nice local pub, family orientated, sports bar, nice range of food and drinks on the menu. No play area for kids, so bring some entertainment.

My family came here after a long day at twin lakes and we was not disappointed , we all had steaks and wow they were all cooked to purfection, mine came out on a sizzler plate which was great as I'm a slow eater and this keeper my steak hot, the onions under my steak was amazing , my husband had the mixed grill which was so big even my hubby couldn't finish it, we only wish we lived nearer to visit the cherry 🍒 tree again. Good work guys
