very nice tearoom pleasantly decorated even though it was a wet weekday the place was still quite busy . the prices are about right. portions are also good , we had a combination of the tuna cheese ,bacon &cheese melts paninis and the dirty fires along with coffee and hot chocolate .the wait time was about right. all the meals where nicely resented and very good

The Cherry Orchard did the outside catering for my mothers wake at the Orchard at Christ Church Eccleston. The service was excellent right from the first enquiry. Highly professional and proactive with great communication. Zoe and the team went above and beyond anticipating and solving problems even before you noticed. Just the kind of support you need at this difficult time. The catering on the day was outstanding with great attention to detail and the service continuing beyond what you would expect. This provided a ray of sunshine on a difficult day for the family. Thank you.

Always delicious coffee and according to my son the best sausage and bacon barm he’s eaten! Plenty of choice on the menu and staff are very friendly and helpful even when busy. Prefer sitting outside when the weather permits as the tea room can be quite noisy inside but that’s just personal preference.

Lovely little cafe, nice staff, very helpful. Food was good quality, lots of it and loved the sampler soup with a sandwich. Victoria sponge was delicious lovely light sponge plenty of jam. See they have an over 60’s offer on Wednesdays so will try that next time

Really lovely place to sit outside. Coffee was very good and bacon and sausage baps were great. Staff very good and welcoming, definitely worth a visit.

Visited The Artisan Market today - love Inglenook Farm and the Cherry Orchard is an absolute must for breakfast/brunch. Staff are always so lovely and friendly. Fantastic menu and my little dog is always made so welcome. Lovely fresh food and always delicious.

We booked the Cherry Orchard for Afternoon Tea for my 90 year old Aunt's birthday. We had a number of different requirements, vegetarian, vegan and carnivores. We booked a variety of different teas and even asked for a mixed tea of vegetarian/vegan and it was no problem at all. In the day we were given a very pleasant table overlooking the front of the restaurant and from the very start to the end it was a pleasure. The service was impeccable, attentive enough to make sure you had whatever you needed without being intrusive. All of the sandwiches and cakes/dessert were delicious and what we didn't eat was boxed and we brought home. For how much we got and how good it tasted the value was very good. My Aunt was absolutely delighted with the time we spent there and how good the food tasted. Thank you very much for making an elderly lady very happy 😊

Wonderful tearoom, food was fresh, beautiful presented and the staff were polite and attentive. Will visit again. I would suggest booking if going at the weekend so not to be disappointed.

Prices are too much toast and just normal white bread nothing special 2.95! So toast for 2 of us nearly £6 no prices outside this wasnt sat in and a can of diet coke no glass or straw etc the same so toast and a can of diet coke or a coffee nearly £6 for 1 person so nearly 12 pound forntoast for 2 people 1 can 1 coffee! a sit in cafe price not take away. Unfortunately they had nothing elwse to eat on offer apart from crumpets toast or toasted t cake. Will visit the dog barn often but not the cafe.

Called in for an impromptu lunch with 2x very hungry three year olds - neither they nor we were disappointed . Children’s menu was apportioned correctly and interesting enough to ensure we had clean plates , followed by lovely presented ice creams . Lots of choice for the grown ups all freshly made with fresh ingredients and food intolerances well catered for. Eat outside if the weathers being kind, or inside the cosy rooms. Lots of sugary treats for afters or you can pop outside and have one of the many flavours of ice cream and peruse the niche shops . Staff lovely, very pleasant and personable, reasonable prices and we need to support these local businesses who’ve managed to keep going through Covid times- visit them soon you won’t be disappointed

These days, a warm welcome, genuinely friendly service and excellent food are a holy trinity you don't see often. Not here. This is a really lovely, cosy, relaxed place to enjoy a tasty lunch with great views over the fields. A saviour when many other local eateries don't open early in the week too. I will be back!

Very busy when we arrived as it was a glorious day, all covid guidelines observed, we ordered sandwiches they were lovely soft bread and plenty fillings, side salad coleslaw and crisps, presented well. Staff attentive and friendly, how they coped in the heat they are to be applauded, the cost was less than many garden centres and the smell from the lavender will definitely be back soon.

I ordered the ham salad which was the poorest excuse for a salad it was literally a bag of mixed leaves with 4 small pieces of ham, a slice of thick bread with a Pat of butter on top, there was no tomato a minute amount of onion cucumber and radish. It was not cheap so I did expect better

Visited this lovely cafe today with my mum and daughter. The food was delicious however the customer service was very disappointing. Staff where cold and didn’t engage in conversation, and not very attentive to our needs. We where asked to remove our order from the tray when bringing our food over, I enquired why we were asked to do this and was informed it was due to covid restrictions which I don’t understand as the staff have touched the plates in order to put them on the tray and when we left they picked up our plates, cups, cutlery etc to take to the kitchen so what is the point. In addition if covid restrictions are so high then why did they not anti-bac the chairs when customers left or clean the additional items on the table (table spoon number and menus). I agree we need to have additional measures in place to prevent the spread of covid however removing our own items which we have ordered from the staff members tray seems ridiculous and not essential. We where left for long periods of time in between ordering food, receiving food, requesting dessert and paying which I would understand if they where busy however it was quiet. We won’t be rushing to go back, there are too many great coffee shops to visit who make you feel valued and welcomed and have great food and coffee.

They have a new cafe at Inglenook Farm we visited early 2020 just before cover 19 we have been laughing about it ever since. They decided for some strange reason NOT to serve fried eggs I ordered a fried egg breakfast and the waitress with a straight face declared they won't fry eggs [or anything fried for that matter] this place is a joke we wouldn't recommend it and will not return till it changes hands again Gave us a laugh though what a way to run a business

We visited the Cherry Orchard for breakfast, we were very warmly greeted and seated at our table. The Covid procedures were excellent and we felt very safe. We ordered full english breakfasts which were absolutely delicious, sell cooked and very tasty. The staff,are very friendly, yet professional and highly motivated to make our experience very enjoyable indeed, so good that we booked to visit again the following week for lunch. We had the Mediterranean platter which was just so delicious. I would highly recommend this lovely establishment, whose ethos is very much customer centred. We will definitely be back.

Food was terrible, ordered two breakfasts that came out of the kitchin within two minutes of orderering. Clearly pre cooked and reheated as we could tell by the taste of the food which was horrible. Left most of the food on the plate. Complete waste of money.

Wow!! What an amazing place!! Stopped with my friends for refreshments on a long bike ride.. gorgeous food.. the farm shop has great quality produce at great prices, staff all very friendly & welcoming.. waitress service brilliant! Really nice little tea room with a great menu. Salmon salad was really nice. My friend had prawn sandwich which was packed with prawns. I think we’ll definately be going back.

Thank you so much for accomodating us today despite being so busy, the Bacon Brioche Roll was amazing, washed down with a Hot Mulled Wine and mum loved her homemade Victoria Sponge cake slice,,, we will be back.

I would recommend booking as it does get busy but it is so worth it. The menu has something for everyone, food cooked fresh and couldn't akk for friendlier staff. I have never been disappointed with the food in all my visits and yesterday was exactly the same when I had the meat free breakfast. A fabulous place to eat

We go often as live in village. Best to book as small and very cosy and friendly. Food just gorgeous! Staff very friendly, only downside you have to pay cash as no card facility. Great food, lots of choice, just love it.

Went to the family graves on a very wet Wednesday & found myself needing a hot a drink, remembered this cafe & popped in .I was met by an extremly pleasant young girl who made me feel very welcome & not awkward as I was on my own & only wanting a drink .The owner came out to help the 3 older ladies on the next table and she was sooo kind to them .I would highly recommend, I didn't eat ,but just to be served by such nice people it's worth popping in

I popped in for a late breakfast bap, nice surroundings, great food and service, some nice easy listening music on, one to try for light bites cakes tea and coffee really friendly place at reasonable prices

A very nice experience having our afternoon tea. Service was very good. Our afternoon tea came quickly with top ups of tea or coffee. We had to take a cake home because there was quite a selection of food and plenty of it.

I would not recommend this place if you have small babies/ children. Me and my child were turned away today because there are no prams allowed and no high chairs! So basically no small children allowed!I leave this review so that other families do not waste their time going out their way to have lunch here.

Absolutely shocked that in this day and age, they have no high chairs for toddlers. When politely explaining this would be helpful for customers with children in the future, were told they have no room for high chairs and they get no families going in, which is a shame because it’s such a lovely place and easy access for young families within the village. Also, would be useful if there was a card machine for customers to use as opposed to cash only.

I was impressed that the lady pointed out that they do not do breakfast but they have a wide selection on their menu so we ordered and enjoyed our lunches. The boss was very attentive and the service was excellent.

What can I say Zoe and the team could not have done more to make our day perfect!!! The room was absolutely beautiful. We provided the decorations on the eve of our party and it was all dressed and ready when my husband and I arrived by the staff. From the red silk roses, the balloons, napkins and chair bows i almost cried when I saw it. The food was fantastic and all our family and friends enjoyed the high standard and presentation of the food. We were waited on hand and foot. I cannot praise them enough!!!

We had a lovely catch up in cherry tree tearooms the afternoon tea as amazing, there was a good selection of bite size sandwiches n homemade slaw, then the scones ere absolutely devine they just melted in the mouth and we’re soooo light, there was a good selection of bite size cakes too all homemade. The establishment is small and was quite full when we arrived but still had an enjoyable visit and will definitely go again... I have already recommended to my mother in law.... staff were helpful and friendly too

Been here many times for lunches it just a coffee and cake. All cakes home made and very good. Lunch offers a good choice of well prepaired options that are good quality and tasty.

Booking is essential for this little cafe, however we dropped in last minute and was accommodated.Staff are lovely and friendly and the sandwiches were delicious served with a small salad, coleslaw and crisps all presented nicely.

I visited here with my wife at lunchtime for a snack, drink and piece of cake. The staff were friendly enough and the drinks were served quite quickly. It was obvious that an effort had been made to create a kind of cottage garden effect with the problem being that with the venue being popular and the tables much too close for my comfort it seemed like we were actually on a platform at Birmingham New Street. Obviously they must be doing something right but personally I prefer more space which I can get at several other similar eateries locally.

I’d pre-booked a table for four people after our baby scan. My husband decided to come last minute so when we arrived at 12pm we asked a table for five instead.

We've loved coming here as a couple regularly on a Saturday for delicious food with friendly service in a lovely environment. I had a special birthday last week so booked in with four friends for afternoon tea....every mouthful was delicious! We all thoroughly enjoyed each tier of our individual cake stands and the prosecco option was very welcome! I enjoy visiting here for lunch but this evening we have had a brilliant experience having a Christmas meal.A glass of sherry on arrival a lovely meal,especially the desserts,followed by a surprise Christmas quiz! The atmosphere and the staff were great.A most enjoyable evening!!

Found this little gem a few months ago and have visited on about 4 different occasions, one of them being today! The quality of the food, the fabulous service and warm welcome has been exactly the same every time. The staff are so friendly and always go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The food is excellent quality and freshly made. The tearooms are spotlessly clean and very inviting. Would recommend to anyone. They can get busy at the weekend, so make sure you book. Fab little place & definitely my fave little tea shop.

Visited last Sunday to celebrate my friends Ruby wedding. The staff were very welcoming and the afternoon tea was lovely.

The Cherry Orchard has once again excelled itself! Yesterday the team provided the most wonderful private afternoon tea with Prosecco for 16 guests to celebrate a Ruby Wedding Anniversary. The atmosphere was perfect as were the sandwiches, cakes, scones and drinks as well as the ever perfect service. 5 star once again! X

Not living in the locality, i have never been to this establishment before, though have passed it visiting friends and have heard others speak highly of it. Today was my chance to visit...attending a Ruby Wedding afternoon tea celebration for some very dear friends...WOW...ambiance lovely, can cater for about 20 people, and the celebration guests filled the room. EACH PERSON had a silver three tier cake stand. bottom layer assortment of sandwiches and little salad trims. middle tier beautiful freshly made scones with abundance of jam/fresh cream served in little ramekin dishes. top tier cakes, and a single glass of strawberry mousse..then full assortment of tea and coffee in individual tea pots...not tea bags.fresh tea leaf served, each with their own tea strainer . Service excellent. Real quality afternoon tea ! thank you Cherry Orchard for such a friendly and professional visit.

Rang up and booked an hour before visit as struggled to get in before. The food is fabulous and the staff are lovely. Clean and bright and a delicious cup of tea. My husband had a chicken salad and I had the cheese n onion tart beautifully presented and we savoured every mouthful. Having finished we both had a slice of lemon drizzle cake which was melt in your mouth deliciousNess. Perfect lunch and can't wait to go again.

Took my Mum for a little treat the other day. This places always delivers something a bit special and I certainly wasn't disappointed. My Mum had the Lancashire cheese on seeded bread and I had the pastrami, both were served with a lovely fresh salad. The owner/ service was impeccable nothing too much trouble. Brought my mother-in-law for her 79th birthday with some of her friends and my husband, her son. Having pre-booked, the divine 3-tiered platters (1 whole one each!!) arrived with sumptuous fresh sandwiches and beautifully presented scones and cakes. I have visited Cherry Orchard about 4 or 5 times now and it's always excellent. Lovely friendly,attentive service dispute it usually being busy. Food well presented and very tasty. A lovely place for lunch. Afternoon tea is very good also and reasonably priced. Always best to book ahead which I do via their Facebook page. I get a response very quickly.

I regularly visit these tea rooms. The food is of a very high standard and there is plenty of choice. The cakes are all homemade and are absolutely delicious. The staff are very attentive. I would recommend booking as it is often full.

Our first visit to the tea rooms. We were greeted promptly, and shown to a table. took the children in for a treat, we had afternoon tea, delicious sandwiches and cakes, the food and service was excellent, been several times and sat out side in the sunshine or wrapped up having coffee, was able to take my dog and they brought out some water for him, there are [plenty of cake shops in Rainford but this is the best, just wish it was open longer

Well what a relief! This little cafe does not disappoint and is consistently excellent....the chicken and thyme sandwiches are just the best ever!! The cakes?? well they are so delicious and all in all I had one of the most pleasant lunches I've had in a long time so just had to write a second review. My friends and I will be back I'm sure.

Visited here a couple of days ago with my partner for tea and cake. We had a latte, a flat white and lemon cake which was just divine.I'm a bit of a coffee connoisseur and was very disappointed with the flat white, no silky foam on top whatsoever, very wet, but the latte was lovely, as was the lemon cake. Fairly priced too, so we'll be back.

I decided to call at the tearoom again today. I had a regular cappuccino and a slice of the homemade Victoria sponge cake. I have eaten lots of cake in my time, but my goodness that was the most delicious piece that I have ever eaten. Full of luscious, whipped cream. Wow, I will definitely start calling here. I come into Rainford at least once a week and intend wading through all the other delicious looking cakes. Can't wait !

Since discovering this fantastic eatery my wife and I have withdrawal symptoms if we don't go at least once a week!. The food, service and surroundings are tremendous. Booking is normally required due to its popularity. Whatever you do though try (and I do mean try) to save room for the fantastic selection of homemade cakes on offer. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Delicious choice of sandwiches. Jacket potatoes, Paninis, salads and home make cakes. Wine is also available if you fancy a lunchtime tipple. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.Always busy at lunch time but it is possible to phone ahead and reserve a table. Cakes are made on premises and delicious at a very reasonable price. Lemon cake is my favourite yum!

I frequently pop in with my little girl for lunch or coffee and cake. The staff are lovely and the food is excellent. I'd advise booking for lunch to ensure a table as it can get very busy and it's only small. The hot chocolate is amazing, as are the milk shakes!

Rainford has quite a few places to dine but this one is so lovely from the decor to the food, it is definitely the best in our opinion {and we've tried the rest.}Cakes are fabulous and they serve a decent coffee and tea. Service is friendly and prompt with a smile and the people who run the tearoom seem genuinely pleased to see you…very welcoming.We'd definitely recommend and will be visiting again soon.

Absolutely gorgeous. We visit quite regularly for lunch. It is only open 11.00 am till 4.00pm. Not only is the choice of food really good, it is so fresh and the homemade cakes are to die for...Mmmm. We went last Friday evening as they put on a special Christmas Meal. Everything was cooked to perfection the service was great. It is a small family run tearooms and the owners are so pleasant and friendly. It's such a pleasure to visit.

Rainfords best kept secret serving a wide choice of hot and cold drinks for all ages including alcohol and a variety of homemade cakes including the beautiful Mince Pies we had to go with our smooth Caramel Latte.I would highly recommend the Cherry Orchard Tearoom whether having a quick coffee or Afternoon Cream Tea.Nothing was too much trouble for the efficient, friendly staff despite the numbers being served.

Delicious and the cakes look great, but I thought that the portion was a bit small for what I paid. I would definitely go again as my mum lives in Rainford , however, there's a place I pass en route with better size portions.

Saw other people having very well presented afternoon tea which looked very nice and seemed to be enjoyed especially by a little girl who tucked into a mini version. No car park so parking could be a problem especially for the disabled. Definitely will go again

We have just returned from a wonderful afternoon at The Cherry Orchard - a strawberry tea charity event! The staff worked so hard to ensure everyone had a lovely afternoon.
