The Chartwell Restaurant in Sevenoaks

Only two tables taken so no real atmosphere.

Lots of variety on the menu. I chose the peri-peri spatchcock chicken that included a choice of two sides. The portion was huge and tasted amazing. The dessert didn’t disappoint either and was delicious. Our server, Deep, was polite, friendly and very welcoming. A great experience all round.

If I could give 6 stars for service I would gladly. We came down for a celebration in the Cromwell room. We were about 30 people. Everything was perfect, food, atmosphere, service. The staff are outstanding. Thank you to all but particularly Dhimant who was particularly helpful.

Yassing was our server. So helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the experience of sitting in a 'train carriage'! Very novel. The food was delicious and plenty of choice. Will return with our friends to stay the night, which my husband and I did the night before, for one of the themed evenings.

Very good, professional. Sara’s was a great help recommending food. Chicken kebabs were delicious.

I took my mum, grandmother and vegan sister for the Mamma Mia's mother's day afternoon tea and it was amazing. The food was beautiful and there was plenty of tasty vegan options for my sister. Atmosphere was so calm and pretty with the harpist playing and our server Saraa was so polite and made us feel special. Thank you so much

Organised an Escape Room party for my son's birthday. The activity was great and the food delivered quickly and enjoyable after they had finished. The children were happy which means we we were happy. Possibly need some support staff but Deet, Sara and the Escape Room Host were all great. Thanks Guys.

Attentive and kind staff with good humor and attention to detail. We stayed multiple nights and enjoyed every meal. The menu is varied between traditional and global. Every restaurant experience was wonderful we will be coming back! Saraa, Deep and their colleagues were all so very nice.

So far so good. 3 nights at the Donnington Manor, good value for money, very good service especially from Saraa at breakfast time and also at the reception and behind the bar. Nice place nice views on the countryside while town is at easy reach.

Good food with a freshly cooked English breakfast. The standout though was the superb service from Saraa.

Dhimant served us and was super friendly and efficient. The food was very good. The atmosphere was pretty weak for a Thursday evening. I think the hotel could make a lot more of this restaurant.

There is a barman called Yassin working here. He's hard working, cheerful and great fun. Thank you so much Yassin for everything.

The afternoon tea was amazing , very tasty and was fresh and good quality , the service was very good and friendly , our server was Deep he was amazing and a lovely man . Will be definitely coming back again

Well, I'm back again to tell of another GREAT meal and the servers. I rarely post on social media of ANY kind. I had some of the very BEST fish n chips in a looking while at the Chartwell restaurant attached to Donnington Manor. The lovely young man named Zahid cooked my meal, and a wonderful gentleman named Dhimant served it to me. The meal was excellent as was the service. I HIGHLY recommend you come stay, eat, and enjoy.

My mum and I were visiting Kent to visit our new niece and granddaughter. Lovely place, especially the extremely kind and helpful Dhimant. Fantastic member of staff, enthusiastic, chatty and we bonded over a chat about weddings and Indian sweets. 5 stars absolutely!

Dhimant was an excellent host. The food and beer was delicious.

We stop off here when we charge the car and enjoy sitting in and having a small lunch. It's great to see they are able to cater for plant based diets and as we just found out, gluten free (as my daughter is on an exclusion diet for a while) so we were able to have gluten free bread with our soup. They also do a great oat milk latte. What would make the meal 100% is providing some non dairy spread/butter for the bread, but otherwise we can't fault the service, very friendly staff and the quality of the food. I'd say it is good value for money.

We enjoyed our afternoon tea experience. The food was delicious and the homemade scones were the highlight and still warm. Our waiter Dhimant was attentive and even offered to help us take a photo. Well done.

My husband I found this place accidentally as we were looking for a Tesla supercharger, which was located behind this restaurant. And what a GEM it was!! Both of us ordered the LAMB SHANK, along with Sweet Potato Fries & Homemade Onion Rings. It was SUPERB!! Really DELICIOUS!!! We were welcomed by Deep, the friendly waiter. He was the one who recommended us the lamb shank as it's one of their specialties. And AMRO, the chef who made the yummy food, came out to deliver our order is also a super friendly guy and very kind. We ended up having a nice chat with him and he even gave us a free sweet treat that he just made, super yummy! We highly recommend this place as we had a very wonderful dining experience there. Thanks again Amro & Deep! :)

Dhimant was very hospitable. But not enough staff employed here. Only 1 waiter for 2 restaurants.

Dhimant extremely helpful very efficient as he was working on his own. Did his very best and looked after our group so well with a smile and great personality! Thank you - will be back & certainly tell friends & family about Donnington Manor although more staff ought to be employed to help the Team!

We celebrated a 60th birthday, one of our party is lactose intolerant and the restaurant provided a delicious alternative to the normal afternoon tea selection. The only dusappointment was that we were the only 4 in the restaurant, so it lacked some atmosphere!

We turned up late to charge the car at the safe,secure Tesla super charger and decided to get a bite to eat. We had our dog Lily with us so we had to sit outside. Time was was getting on and she had not eaten. The great team of Saraa and Yassine kindly spoke to the kind chef who also cooked some chicken for her. Lovely team,lovely location and lovely food.

Highly recommended, and here’s why: The service, esp from Saraa & Hamid, was absolutely unbelievably outstanding! They all made for an amazing experience. All the staff are clearly very happy to be part of the team at the hotel & restaurant. We had afternoon tea. The sandwiches were freshly prepared by Hamid and they tasted so delicious that we didn’t have room for the cakes and scones! There is plenty of onsite complimentary parking. Thank you ever so much.

Dhimant & Sara made sure we were well looked after and even brought a birthday pudding as a surprise! They gave excellent service and were warm and friendly. Some dishes were better than others. We had a meagre portion of chips with the burgers and there could have been more flavours but my table were very happy and we went to enjoy the escape room which was brill. Overall it’s worth a visit!

Have stayed at the Donnington Manor Hotel on at least six business trips throughout the summer. Great service, great people. Thanks to Saraa, Dhimant, Deep and all the other staff whose names I don’t have. Will continue to use this gem of a hotel in the Kent countryside. Martin.

You are warmly received by Emily when entering the restaurant. Emily was very welcoming and professional. Menu is limited but what you receive is of high quality, recommend a chefs special to make the selection a better experience. However today is the best change they have done since I started to stay here… finally they have now started to serve Indian food in the restaurant, and wow what a treat that was. Due to a family tragedy we were down in Kent and stayed at this marvellous hotel. Our barman Yassine was superb, and the experience lifted the mood following the funeral. My parents and siblings enjoyed their meals, and we may have enjoyed our drinks a little too much.
