By far the best bar in Poynton. Friendly staff and great choice of drinks.... especially gin! Oh and they welcome dogs too! No question it's the place to go. Also they do amazing cocktails 🍸 😍 which are 2 for 1 Sunday too! They also have a lovely new manager. They've just had a makeover too so you need to check it out! Its a must visit xx

Had a most enjoyable afternoon.

Nicely appointed but would not take cash for drinks only pictures on the wall so group had to leave,hence a poor review. Cash is important to many groups:elderly,disabled,sight challenged and people using cash to monitor spend. Plenty of other venues taking cash in Poynton so went to them instead. Have been told by a friend quite a few swerving this cashless digital oasis! It is a shame,wanted to support them.

Cracking small "community pub" on the ever popular Park Lane. Great beers, great staff in casual, comfortable surroundings.

Just popped in for a few beers to meet a work colleague and was told they would not accept cash payment. No cards on me so that’s that. Since when is legal tender not good enough for businesses? The hospitality industry keeps saying we must support them…..well I tried!

A frequent visitor with two or three special needs adults for a number of years. Then they stopped taking cash (it's a hassle they said). Much of the experience was to help these adults order, handle money, do basic accounting, wait for change etc. VERY disappointed. It disempowers the old, poor, and those with learning difficulties. 20% of all transactions are still cash. Cannot enjoy their beer anymore.

We didn't have food but I didn't want to drop stars. We were pleasantly surprised at the Cask. Lots of ales and other drinks including Kombucha - which I hadn't spotted until after I ordered a gin. Next time. A great alternative to alcoholic drinks for me. A lovely addition to the village. See you again soon.

This used to be our favourite place but unfortunately now some of the staff have a rude and aggressive manner! Music on new years eve could barely be heard ,asked if they could turn it they refused ! Not a nice atmosphere anymore used to have such a lovely manager. who always made you feel welcome. We won't be going in again.

Best pub in Poynton serving an excellent range of locally brewed beers. I recommend Long Hop if you enjoy a hoppy ale. Sadly I can't go any more because there is no disabled toilet and I cannot get up and down the long flight of stairs to the toilets.

Nice local (Macclesfield) beer selection amongst others. Friendly and relatively quiet- you can actually talk rather than shout over loud music👍 😄

Love the new, revamped Cask Tav! Always did have great beers and always had a fantastic all atmosphere but all of that has been complimented perfectly with the new decor and slight redesign. Just love it!

Love the staff, the beer selection and love doing the quiz! Dogs being allowed is a bonus!

Narrow bar area meant that it was a bit of a jostle to get served. The staff are very friendly and worked hard to serve as quickly as possible. Excellent beer and cider selection. The ales from the Bollington Brewery were top class.
