The Carrick Stone - Wetherspoons in North Lanarkshire

Came here with a group of 30, worried that they couldn’t accommodate as it was a Friday night however we managed to get tables all together downstairs and this pub has both up and downstairs . The food was cheap but amazing , the pizzas are definitely the best pizza I have had. For my own intimate family was only £30 for 6 meals and drinks ?? The staff you couldn’t even talk to for long as they were that busy making sure everything was clean and accommodating all the other customers . The toilets were gleaming all night , especially the gents . My husband couldn’t believe one of the boys had came in and mopped three times to make sure it didn’t smell . Been to loads of spoons but this one is definitely the best and the car park is free to park so managed to have one too many and leave the car over night . Highly recommend

This place continues to have real problems cooking eggs! The breakfasts appear to be thrown onto the plates, beans aren't even warm they are almost cold. Eggs are still an issue, my egg on Sunday was rubbery, so rubbery and solid you could pick it up! They are also the oddest shaped eggs I've ever seen! These breakfasts are supposedly checked by either the "Kitchen Manager" or duty manager, so clearly they don't care. Best bit of advice stay at home and cook your own breakfast!

Came in as a group of 15 people and Stuart done everything to accommodate us to ensure we were all sat together. He was so friendly and nothing was a hassle for him. Thanks again for the great service!

If I could give zero stars I would. Wetherspoons breakfasts are not known for their quality but this one was particularly disgusting. Service was atrocious. Asked for brown sauce when we first went in. It took them 45 minutes to bring it. Had to ask multiple times. Breakfasts came long before the sauce so had to eat them plain. Hardly any heat to any of the items. Butter was right out the fridge so smashed my toast apart trying to apply the freezing butter to the cold toast. My son’s pancakes arrived with no syrup. Got told “that’s how it comes” had to argue with them to get syrup that they were trying to make us pay for. Don’t know what kind of person enjoys eating dry pancakes. Any sane person would expect syrup to come with pancakes. However, not in Wetherspoons it seems. He refused to drink his glass of milk, I had a taste of it and it was sour. My partner’s breakfast came with no butter. By the time she had chased them up about the syrup and the butter, what little heat was in her food was long gone. Staff seemed disinterested. Manager came out and tried to claim they were busy when the place had just opened and was dead. Food was utterly shocking. Almost broke my teeth on the hockey puck black pudding. You could tell the eggs were only cooked on one side, yokes clearly raw, had hard bits on the outside. My partner’s potato scone was cremated. Bacon looked like they’d cooked it with a hair dryer. My partner got half way through it and couldn’t eat any more she was that put off by the experience and the food. To top it all of. Take my son to the toilet and some guy’s guts had clearly been blown out all over the pan. Diarrhea And blood all over it. A good site for my young son to see. Put me off Wetherspoons breakfasts for life. Certainly won’t be back to this particular one. Will be going places that actually use fresh ingredients and everything isn’t cooked in a microwave next time. Only saving grace was the hot chocolate which was lovely.

Upstairs bar. Very pleasant place to have a drink. Plenty of meals being delivered around us. Family friendly. Place very busy, but not loud chatter. Staff very friendly and efficient given the amount of customers on a Saturday afternoon.

Great place for cheap food and drink never let me down also friendly staff would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to eat drink and watch sport

As a regular user of this pub , must say it’s looking a bit smarter upstairs. Visited for breakfast with grandchildren on Saturday, food great, staff great, especially Stuart. You know what you get at a weatherspoons and was not disappointed.will return next time in town

Stopped off for supper en route north, the food was fresh, hot and tasty. Lovely chips indeed! Service was excellent, the staff were superb.

We're in a habit now of going for a breakfast on a Saturday or Sunday. Great value the Scottish Breakfast at £4.50. Don't order till 11 o'clock though so I can get a pint with my breakfast lol.

You definitely not going to put weight on here the portion sizes not great and you most take a meal deal meaning a drink of some sort WHY? Won’t be rushing back.

Visited the pub on Saturday with my partner place was a bit messy however was busy so can’t expect anything less. Served on bar by a girl named Beth, she was nothing but rude and unprofessional when asking about drinks and food acted like she did not want to serve. Ruined our whole experience, will not be back and hope management deal with her attitude towards paying customers.

having recently moved to cumbernauld my wife and 2 children went to carrick stone downstairs , we wanted a window seat but they were all taken , 1 by an old bloke sitting on his own at a 4 seat table, and he was sat there on his own for the hour n a half we were there thus depriving a family of 4 a prime seat , there were plenty of 2 seat tables available , ive been in a few times since on my own , and a regular customer told me he sits there all day on his own ,if someone is sitting there when he comes in he sits closeby and when they leave he pounces into ' his seat ', i would feel VERY uncomfortable sitting there knowing he is watchin us eat and waiting for us to leave , management should do something about it .

I had lunch here midweek with my cousin. We both had the Vegetarian Pasta Alfredo. Usually I struggle to find tasty vegetarian food in restaurants but this was one of the nicest pastas that I’ve eaten. The free refills of tea and coffee is appreciated and the staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. Excellent prices too. Thank you very much!

We visited here whilst in the local area to avoid the rain! It was exactly what you would expect for a Wetherspoons - cheap and cheerful! Staff were friendly but it could have been a bit cleaner. Table was sticky and some of the cutlery had stains on it.

We come here all the time for just drinks. The last 3 times we have been in a girl with dark hair in a pleat with a dress and clicky shoes on has gave absolutely shocking service. I understand people hate they’re job but she is next level! We came back a few days and her attitude had not changed. I work in hospitality myself and this service is just un-Bearable. We needed to eat whilst in Cumbernauld and came across The Carrick Stone. The place was busy as it was around lunchtim but managed to find a table. Food was ordered and paid for at the bar and it was delivered to our table quite quickly - a bit too quickly actually. By the look of it, our food had been waiting in a hot box or something similar for an unsuspecting customer to order it. Had the food been prepared at the point of ordering I'm sure it would have been enjoyable as the flavours were pretty good.Two portions of fish and chips, mac and cheese plus three soft drinks was just over £16.00 I guess you get what you pay for.

We arrived around 8pm for drinks. Every table occupied and unoccupied were covered in dirty glasses and plates. Table dirty. It got cleared about 945pm. 15 mins before we left. This isn't the first time we have been disappointed with the same problem.

Good food and often very good value deals. Perfect for good food, well cooked and always plentiful. Good for casual dining but not first choice if a special night out.

Una mesa reservada para 8 adultos y 4 niños para una cena el domingo en el Carrick de piedra. Una vez que llegamos, el lugar estaba vacío, lo cual era inusual para esta época en un domingo. Cuando ordene las comidas en el bar, el chef salió y parecía destacó, preguntó primero por la primera mitad de las comidas para que él pudiera tomar y comenzar antes de que habíamos terminado de ordenar. No tiene sentido y no era muy profesional para el chef se enfrente en el bar.

Y el orgullo del lugar de trabajo. Mi esposa y yo llegamos a 14. 00 horas nos llevó 10 minutos para conseguir 14 por servido tan. 50 nuestra comida acababa de llegar. Orden equivocado. Mi esposa mantenía el suyo y me dijeron 10 minutos para rectificar el orden de la cocina. 25 minutos más tarde y aún no había comida. Escaso y ojalá desordenados que tenía el trabajo de clasificar este terrible desastre porque me encanta un reto. Realmente he escrito esta crítica y aún estoy esperando mi comida. . Mi esposa está lejos de compras en su propia cuenta.

Por desayuno y fue excelente. Tenía las tortitas y huevos reales y fueron tan bien como un hotel de 5 estrellas. Sin duda volveremos.

La estaca era patatas fritas frías fueron quemados y no cocinar estaban todavía duro se lo recomendaría a nadie, aparte de que el personal era servicial.

Sentir como la comida y el personal de aquí es realmente impredecible, dependiendo del día. Mi novio y yo visitamos un domingo por la tarde, y pedimos la especial (algunos vegetales al curry o a lo largo de esas líneas). El lugar no estaba tan lleno y la comida tardó 45 minutos para en realidad llega, y los miembros del personal, nos vio, pero no acercarse a la mesa. Como iba a ir al bar y pedir, un camarero fiebres y dice que la comida será poco y pide disculpas. Otro pase de 10 minutos y nos dieron la comida, pero pagamos extra por pan naan, que no conseguimos. En este punto yo estaba demasiado hambriento, así que sólo aceptan la comida, que no era estupenda. Mi novio no pide el pan naan, que servían como estábamos a punto de salir. En general era un caos, y dudo que volveré para la comida de todos modos.

Had a terrible experience n will never be back firstly they had no fish at 1pm on Saturday afternoon then I ordered 2 lemonades the first glass was covered in lipstick and the 2nd the lemonade had run out I ordered chips with my lasagne and I got salad and then had to wait nearly 10 mins for the chips my mother took gammon steak instead of fish and it was burnt to death but she wudnt let me complain any more so she picked at it oh and my fork was dirty too I was on a lunch break from work or I would have walked out but I will never be back

Comida básica que no parece o sabor fresco, por desgracia. Obtienes lo que pagas. Postres y bebidas a un precio razonable, así que no es demasiado caro cuando con la familia
