I have been to carvery on numerous occasions but today I was so disappointed. The roast beef was almost at the end and I asked if there was more and was told no The end of the beef I had was dry and tough. On leaving I saw that there was a new full beef o the cou ter

Popped into the Broadwood Farm for a quick lunch on way to visit family. Pizza was prepared quickly and delivered to our table, just in time for my wife to get back from the carvery deck. Food was delicious, and the ambience was cosy. There were quite a few people in but it wasn't too noisy. Perfect.

Went on sat 22nd Feb at 5pm and the food was vile. Cold gammon, frozen carrots uncooked, powder mashed potatoes, after we got our food we were told the roast potatoes would be 5 mins... 15 mins later no roast potatoes, this was disgusting food that we never touched, spoke to a member of staff who argued potatoes were steamed not powder (not that it made a difference) , just gave up, do not waste your money. Our own fault as the car park was empty and now we know why 😞

I had my breakfast on three occasions and the staff were great and the food was cooked perfectly, and at £ 7.49 it was perfect

Lunch was expensive for what we had, coffee was tepid, very cold indoors, not many people inside and mostly wearing jackets. Very noisy ice cream machine. would not recommend. Will not be back

Was only in for a meeting had a couple of drinks

Definitely recommend this place for food first ever time going and can say I'll be back again me and the Mrs got carvery each and meat was so tender and all veg to go with it was lovely the roast potatoes and mash were spot on very reasonable priced for everything too staff very friendly also.

We held a baby shower here on Saturday and used the function area. Fantastic service and food. I would highly recommend booking for a larger gathering.

The food was lovely and the staff were nice but there was a lot of waiting around between courses. Avoid sitting at tables 25 and 26 in winter. However, thank you to the staff as it felt like they put the heat on after I mentioned that I was cold. Post edit: thank you for coming back to me. I think that "service" in these reviews should separate into "service" and "waiting times". The service to the table and at the bar was friendly but the waiting times in between were long.

Was turned away tonight as they were short staffed in the kitchen at 19:30. This is not the first time. Joke

The staff are 1st class here they always go out there way to make it special. Good place for an epic roast dinner or just catching up with friends for a pint.

Booked for 6pm as the restaurant said it was open until 10. Arrived and was told the A La Carte & Festive menu were off, and only the carvery was available. The staff were preoccupied, one might say giddy, about getting customers out and going home/out early, including spraying the same table with disinfectant next to dining customers several times with gaps between. We overheard other customers expressing that they were similarly unimpressed about being "subtly" pressured to leave. While the carvery was minimal but adequate, the wine was warm. Overall, this was the most un-festive experience I think I've ever had. I strongly recommend avoiding the broadwood farm for anything other than a palatable meal when everything else is closed.

We had a lovely meal with the family. The food was of good quality and standard. The staff are very nice and the atmosphere is good. Overall a satisfactory visit.

Visited today for lunch with my elderly mother and partner. We all enjoyed our lunch, two small carveries and a traditional one. The meat was lovely, choice of vegetables good and server very pleasant . The restaurant was lovely and warm. The Christmas decorations and music added to the festive mood. Not been here for ages but will definitely return in the near future as it offers good value for money

It's a carvery place but there are menus to order from. Can't beat a roast.

We were here for an annual Christmas event and once again it was great. The food was really really good and the staff were so so helpful! Would recommend!

Absolutely AWFUL.Horrible staff and horrible food.AVOID AVOID AVOID.Visited as a family and the way we were spoken to was shocking.Female manager is the most Horrible person I have ever encountered ,so unprofessional and arrogant.Definitely won't ever be back.

Always find the buffets too cold. I personally like my food piping hot.

We went at lunchtime today for a carvery. Initially the food looked nice but it really wasn't. It was warm at best, meat was gristly, roast potatoes were hard on the outside, potatoes were cold, pigs in blankets overcooked and salty. No customer service at all, no-one came around the tables to ask if everything was OK. First and last visit....no wonder it wasn't busy.

My son in law craved about this place but its really nothing to talk about I only eat chicken. Got turkey and pork. The pork was very salty had to leave it. Then had too stand in a huge long queue. Not my cup of tea. Been but won't be back

Outrageously delicious food, scampi was sublime. Crispy yet moist. Very attentive service. Overall a delightful establishment. Bravo!

First time visiting for a carvery. Arrived and stood waiting for a while to be seated, bar staff could see us waiting and didn't even acknowledge us. We eventually just walked in and sat down at a table ourselves. Food was average at best for the price your paying, the guy on the carvery was pleasant enough and was generous with his portions.

Visited for the first time on the 15th of September as we really fancied a Sunday dinner/carvery. Did not disappoint!! Lovely place with a nice atmosphere. Plenty of seating and different sections. Menu has a great selection. The carvery area is well set up with your meats, veg and then over to your sauces/gravy etc. Everything was cooked fresh and tasted delicious! Also tried the pizza pinwheels starter and they were amazing!! For dessert I had salted caramel profiteroles and they were incredible!! Will definitely be returning. Would recommend a visit if you’re in the area!

Popped in for breakfast with my son .who has cerebral palsy he loves a breakfast here the staff leigh ann .grant and chefs do an amazing job u get a warm welcome as u walk though the doors .

Had the carvery.. we were informed that there was no turkey until 3.30pm we arrived at 2.30pm which was fine just had beef and ham the meat was nice beef a bit fatty at bits but overall ok .. that was it …. Roast potatoes couldn’t even bite into or put a fork in them solid and hard grease … cauliflower solid carrots soggy gravy watery one of the wort carvery’s I’ve ever had .. Apple pie microwaved disgusting 🤢 ice cream from machine was watery place no t the cleanest .. staff were actually really nice but sadly will never return

Had a great Sunday roast here with my mate last weekend. Came in a 7pm and there was still plenty fresh food ready to go. Staff were fantastic to. Will defiantly be back.

Perhaps the time of day, food was cool if not cold.

Tried the pizzas tonight as usually always opt for the carvery and they were one of the best pizzas Iv had, can tell they are freshly made, will definitely be having them again.

It's OK. Went for breakfast. Food is nothing special and although it's a buffet there is still a wait for fried eggs and some of the items had bee out too long and had shriveled up. Staff were quick to make fresh stuff when this was pointed out. It's local and handy but not the best in town

My Mrs and I visited here on 28/8/24 for something to eat we opted for 5 sharing plates, a hot chocolate and a cappuccino, I returned my hot chocolate as it was just watery and worse chocolate I've ever tasted, the lady gave me another drink in place of chocolate, fresh orange and lemonade, that also was not very nice, the mini pizza's were very very small and bland, the cheesy nachos had a cheap sauce that made the nachos very soggy, the holummi fries were only 5 of them very thin and cold, the fried mushrooms were dripping in fat and the chicken bits were not really nice at all the honey sauce used was like chemical tasting, we already paid for the meal, there was nobody about as we did want to let them know the food was absolutely in my opinion fit for rodents to eat, we did sample a couple of bits of the food and in the end we walked out leaving the food and most of my orange drink behind, it was that bad, will definitely NOT recommend or go back in to this place, and it might seem harsh but the food was that bad on the day we went it. You can see buy the photos how much food we left, so dissapointed.

A lovely friendly place to stop for breakfast. Sets you up for the day and excellent value for money. Best of all it is very dog friendly…. It would be great to have all stonehouse pubs dog friendly and we would visit more… Thanku to the lovely staff at broadwood farm 😊

Lovely family get together today 17th Aug 2024 after a recent bereavement. All had carvery. The meat slicing lady really needs to smile more and not look like she's in bad mood . Especially when serving public. Food and meat gd quality .

Usually have a very good time and this time wasn't much of an exception, however it seemed to me that, on this occasion, the kitchen was short staffed or unprepared for the night as the cooks were visibly stressed and upset, food wait times were long depending on the meal (pizza thankfully did not take long however i did overhear staff talking of waits yp to an hour) and much of the carvery food had sat out too long. Roast potatoes hard as bricks for example. I do not hold it against them but as my daughter had wanted to come here for her birthday dinner it was a little disappointing. Still do not let this put you off as this is not the norm for Broadwood farm. I've had many a great meal there and will definitely be back. We all have bad nights and this was simply one of them. They were clearly doing the best with what they had but either due to sickness or poor planning on management's part, they were struggling. Also as a side note I do not believe it is fair that the kitchen staff themselves should have to come out with dishes and apologise to patrons. As a former cook and chef, they have enough to deal with in the back nevermind doing front of houses job as well. This should be scrapped. 6/10 10/08/24

Much like vegans/vegetarians/pescawhatevers (tomatoe tomato) I like to tell people in a loud voice that I'm diabetic. Not one of the pudgy type 2 diabetics that just like ice cream too much, a proper type 1. The staff at Broadwood were extremely accommodating in suggesting relevant meals for me, including Grant who insisted on weighing out the carbs in my meal so I could get the perfect insulin to carb ratio for my injection. Due to my lack of willpower I gave in and some cake for dessert because who wants to live forever.

First time: Food nice. Lots of choice. Plenty parking. Friendly staff. Second time: food was not great, beef from carvery was so tough. Was absolutely freezing cold inside too

Beef was more fat than meat. Had to ask for a glass for drinks. Staff not very well trained.

Absolutely disgusting. Mac and cheese was horrible. I should have known not to go in when I watched two rats jump down the drain at the front door. Also, car park had litter lying everywhere and tables had glasses and mugs on it. Hadn’t been cleared for goodness knows how long. Woman was nice enough when we said we didn’t enjoy our meal but no refund was given even though the plates were clearly not touched after one bite as it was rotten. She did offer us a dessert but that just made no sense. Will not be back, place has went MASSIVELY downhill.

We went down for the Sunday lunch. Straight to a table, and order taken quickly. Organised to save queues at the bar. Carvery was kept clean and we were there when new meat was put out. Portions are more than enough, and the veg/potatoes were all kept stocked. No complaints. Plenty staff to keep tables clean.

Went for the Cauvery lunch. Can't fault the food, prompt service and the meat was as it should be. Everything was fresh and topped up so no waiting in queues.

Was there today had a meal the staff behind the bar were really nice and the chef with the glasses on he needs to be a bit. more polite apart from that it was lovely

This is the best Carvery in North Lanarkshire - the menu is also full for those who don't particularly enjoy a traditional roast but the best part is how dog friendly and accommodating the staff are with our four legged companions ☺️.

Popped in for Saturday night tea, had the carvery which was 8.99, good value for decent food, thought the garlic bread at 4.99 was over priced for the size though. Staff were very friendly, helpful and polite, especially the carvery chef, he was great 👍

I think this place is underrated, either that or carveries just aren't popular any more. For me, this place is worth a visit. There is ample parking outside, just remember to provide your car reggy once inside. The restaurant hasn't been busy any time I have visited but the carvery is excellent value for money and the roasts, vegetables, sauces and gravies are all tasty. There are also table service options such as stone baked pizzas although I haven't tried these. Staff were friendly and helpful. Toilet facilities could be better. Disabled access seems generally fine, I think.

We went for the buffet breakfast, what a disaster! We had picked out potatoe scones, hash brief browns and eggs, waiting patiently in the sausage and bacon being served and were rudely asked whew we we tree waiting on, whet b we said sausage and bacon we were told sit down you can come back up! Eh? That'll be half a breakfast then! It's a buffet breakfast the trays should be continually replenished. We didn't go back up, we ate our dried out hash browns and greasy potato scones! Will not be back, weatherspoons breakfasr beats this hand down!

Staff were great, carvery food was okay, but not very warm and some sides/vegs were a bit dried out. Shouldn't be, as we were there just after 12pm. Not very busy, so not sure what atmosphere is usually like.

Carvery is lovely, all the meat was cooked to perfection. Good selection of drinks. Kids loved the bottomless ice cream. When we visited was quiet but did get busier.

Came out for a family treat, service was speedy, food was lovley. We have already booked for our next visit

The staff were extremely polite courteous and helpful. Especially Chloe and Leoni. They are all brilliant and even tho young are very professional al. The carvery chef was really nice and polite and the food was excellent.

Just an updated review to say still the great service and quality of ingredients. Good selection of beers . Breakfast of champions Staff are very friendly and actually show an interest in the customers. Dont get to visit as often as I used to , shame really because it's a great place to eat . Managed 2 visits a few weeks ago , one for breakfast and the other to try out the new menu. Very pleased with the breakfast service and the great choice on offer . Dinner from the new menu was a pleasant experience and some great new choices on offer . Looking forward to my next visit .

Been few times for sunday carvery with my family, disappointed last visit really went downhill veg really poor ,cauliflower solid,potatoes & mash only decent thing won't be back

Parking Scam!!! Been here 4 times since January 2024 and just received a letter by Euro Car Parks for parking in an "unauthorised car park"! £100. Are you having a laugh! Needless to say I will not be paying and will complain to M&B management. Its totally absurd to go for a meal, spend quite a bit of money and then get charged for what you think is a private car park ( Oh yeah...its so private you get charged for overstaying your welcome! ) You just lost a customer! But like yous care!

This place should just close, carvery was cold, roast potatoes burnt. Pizza waited 50 minutes for and was really disappointing. I won't waste my money in this place again. The staff were also so unprofessional. This pub was great before Stonehouse took over it. Another 6 customers that won't be back.

I’ll say this right now since a change in management this place has went to shambles the manager was an incredibly patronising woman and the chef at the carvery deck was one of the rudest people I’ve ever met I asked for just the gammon and he muttered under his breath boring c*** when I challenged him on this he just laughed at me like a simpleton I will never set foot in that hellhole again

Food good , actual place , surroundings, Need more staff , one person at bar, huge queue, tried to use app to order to avoid queue but no signal , had to join the queue, turkey needs to be changed when down to bone and stringy fat, place nice set out, ambience. Nice lighting

Nice clean pub, fast service, lovely staff. Claire was able to keep me at ease and made me feel better as I spilled my juice everywhere in front of my family and I felt embarrassed about it all, but she was calm and very well managed about the situation and cleaned it up with a smile on her face

We dine here often, always service with a smile :) great atmosphere, and even better that it’s dog friendly! Food is always hot a tasty, I am vegetarian and there is a good selection for me. Kids love the play park. I would definitely recommend for families or even a few drinks with friends.

Great value. The only reason for 4 stars on the food was that the beef was a bit chewy even though it looked fine. A very minor point though..

was in today for dinner and had a great experience, Amy and Natasha were a great help and they made me feel very welcomed
