shocking I ask the driver why it was so late he said shop problem and I have phone the place 15 times to not be answered once will not be using this place again

Part of our order was wrong, we called and the promissed a replacement in 30 minutes. It never arrived an the phone has been taken off so you cant get through to them again

Would have given more stars if the food was on time and hot. Very disappointed

It shouldn't take nearly 2hrs to deliver food less than 4 miles away

very poor service, don't usually give bad reviews but having txt and rang twice my order arrived over an hour late, food was soggy and tasteless , absolutely awful experience, never using again!

Food hot & tasty, huge pieces of meat in the kebab cooked perfectly, could just do with a little more salad

Every time I order from here and ask for salt and vinegar I get none at all I order with salt and vinegar because that’s how I like it, try reading what the customer wants before you prepare the order

Have been to captains table on and off for a long time. Certainly the worst fish I’ve had and around 45 mins later than the initial delivery time given, 30 mins later than the revised time.

the food turned up and hour after the ETA and it was stone cold.

The best pizza and burger I ever had. These guys have some magic to make people their regular customers. So happy.. ❤️💐

Great place the burgers are sometimes abit burnt tho and they don't sell fries :( but the staff are cool they let you of a quid or 2 sometimes aswell very cool -burger boy

driver rang me and was he was lost I was stood outside waiting. half the food went in the bin. need to get English speaking drivers. I will not be using them again.

ordered the 10in hot and spicy pizza and the Mexican Doner wrap...food arrived on time and hot!! very tasty and good portions....worth the money

normally the food is really nice, but today I couldn't eat any of the chips they were hard or scratchings that were left, I can't believe they served them like that.

Order a donnercalzone with chips and burger sauce. Assured it would be 20-25 mins at most. 2 hours later, only a dinner calzone arrived. No chips in there and no sauce. Employee just wanted to argue and give it to a delivery driver in 15 mins for him to make a new one. Asked for a refund as I’m not waiting 3 hours but was refused… incredibly unhelpful and not what I ordered either. Shambolic.

It was delivered early!! Food was really hot and freshly cooked and I even got a free portion of chips that they had wrote a little smiley face on and it said free which gave me a smiley face ordered from here loads I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it’s so good!!

The food was unexpectedly really nice I’ve never been a fan of captain’s table but seen the hygiene rating had changed and heard the staff had to so thought I’d give it ago and I was shocked the food was exactly how I asked for it to be cooked so it was all made fresh delivery time was before the time stated so all in all am very pleased

The food, once it arrived was actually really good, however delivery service has gone very poor. Took 1 hour 30 minutes to arrive and was way past the window of time communicated. As the food was so nice and hot, I doubt very much it had been out for delivery all that time, so the restaurant perhaps just needs to be more honest with their preparation and delivery times to prevent disappointment/unnecessary calls chasing orders etc.

ordered the meal deal 1 and kids nuggets meal....food arrived on time and hot and was really tasty and great value for money...kids nuggets and chips with drink good value and was tasty

Food was good, piping hot & fresh. Only negative was the pizza was very salty

JUST DON'T ORDER FROM HERE, that's my recommendation... Even though, I have been ordering from this specific place for over 20 times, this place recently turned into a "joke" to say the least.... Last time I ordered, the delivery was one hour late, when it came, it was cold af... I won't order from this place ever again, if I ever did, I would probably get spitted into my food, judging from the "attitude" after the phone call to the place...

Delivery was due at the latest 9.40pm arrived at 10.15 and pizza was cold. I called restaurant at 10.10pm and they told me ringing driver. Raised my concerns about being worried the pizza would arrive cold and was told it wouldn't as they use bags for them. Clearly don't as it did arrive cold and very late.

I was a regular customer until tonight! Food was nearly an hour late when I asked for an update they came back with the excuse of heavy traffic! No traffic at all! When the driver did finally turn up he said they was very busy and he himself said there was NO TRAFFIC!! I will no longer be ordering from here!!

The most disgusting food I have ever had from take away. Chips that could break stones, Donner meat had suspicious smell and the sauces... I can't even call it sauces, not sure what they was made from, but disgusting aftertaste will haunt you for hours. I. Do. Not. Recommended.

The fish particularly was absolutely beautiful. Thoroughly enjoyed and will order again for sure. 😀

ordered a 12" chicken and donner calzone didn't come with chicken and wasn't a 12" was alot smaller, kids wasn't happy with their chicken nuggets, but the burger was lovely, we always order from here and usually very happy but tonight was Abit of a let down

I've always had good quality food and still hot. Good employees and respectful staff and delivery people. The young lady that does the delivery is amazing. Thank you.

Food missing, rude customer service

fantastic service and great food they even rang me to ask if everything was ok with the food after I had a bad experience half an hour earlier with the takeaway from The Crispy Cod. I would highly recommend them 👌

food times should be updated by restaurant if there is a delay rather than flagging up as delivered. also when requested some money back the restaurant came back with an automated response of the driver was stuck in heavy traffic when the googlemaps Said it was 7/8 minutes from the restaurant to our house. just be honest and say it's late! when ordering at 6pm you really expect before 7.40pm when guide time was 30-50 mins

Nice family fish & chip supper not too much batter on the fish and nothing was over greasy.

We order this a lot but unfortunately this early was the standard. Burger was still nice but only warm. Chips and Onion rings cold

Delivery was due 19.40.. Delivered st 20. 37 nearly an hour later. Few calls to restaurant to be told each time. On way on way.... It's not good Food was barely warm. Not good enough. Was told 19.50 it was on the way.. Puts me off buying again.

Quality and warmth of food was not good

the food was well over an hour late, my missus was looking forward to having her dessert and when it tuned up it was like an ice cube, 🧊 she nearly snapped her teeth trying to have a bite, we order from here all the time but tonight I would like a full refund as the whole meal was ruined

unfortunately the mushy peas were hard and the gravy too salty, the pudding was dried out, not the usual quality from the captains table.

Food was cold, chips pale, hard, undercooked

the fish was terrible, soggy outside, cardboard inside and overall flavourless, chips were all just mushed together

ordered the meal deal 1...4 pieces of chicken, Doner meat and chips with a can and a kids nugget meal. Food arrived on time and was hot and very good portions, chicken was hot and crispy as were the nuggets and the doner meat was hot and tasty👍

ordered the 10in Special pizza with extra sweetcorn and kids Doner meat meal and 2 x Pepsi....food arrived on time...was hot and delicious...plenty of topping on the pizza and the chips and doner meat were a good sized portion and were hot...all food was enjoyed 😉

Normally perfect but past few orders have been a real let down. Late delivery & cold food, the pitta bread with the kebab was inedible it could have smashed a window.

Order all the time never had a problem, unfortunately items missing tonight, frustrating when paid for and not received.

we initially ordered at around 7:30pm to find at 8pm that our order had been cancelled (drivers unavailable? still awaiting refund) however 2nd attempt of ordering I was validated in trying again, food arrived hot and tasty, plenty of food. Canadian burger 10/10. chips 8/10 slightly anemic and unseasoned, nothing some salt and vinegar can't fix, however not soggy and thoroughly cooked, donner and steak kebab 10/10. our new go to takeaway!

I'm not sure how late our order was, maybe 10 mins, but it was definitely worth the wait!! The chips were amazing!! I think it's the first time my daughter ate every single bit. I had forgot to add a small chips to my internet order so I phoned, the lady was lovely and very understanding, she said to give the driver the driver the money for them.

Waited over 1hour 30 minutes when i got it it was not hot just warm i asked for fresh onions on both sausage dinners did not get any

Pitta bread rock hard, steak just as hard as the pitta bread, chips was all mushy and falling apart, salad was brown and watery, won’t ordering again

Turned up late. Didn't have the rice I ordered. The chips tasted odd. The onion rings were really soggy. The fish was NOT fresh. Suffice to say, I won't be ordering again.

burger was an absolute mess soggy bread cold called them after being 20 mins late to be told 20mins then another 40 mins till delivery then it arrived an absolute mess will never order again

the Main entrance is where you come in to the hospital not A+E entrance.

chips were nice, the batter on the fish far to greasy. was an unpleasant eat. soaked in grease

Absolutely disgusting - fish over cooked and was rock hard, chips horrible and not drained. Mush. All went in the bin and will not order again.
