l ordered food worth of 21£ on Sudany expected for it to arrive at any time soon 3 hours went by never got ma food went down to the restaurant they closed next day same thing closed just went to their official website it says the restaurant has been closed permanently l have been phoning them they never pick up l genuinely think it’s studied trick to scam ppl for their money wdym your permanently closed and also if you knew what you were gonna permanently closed it why would the restaurant official website doesn’t inform us that online payment shouldn’t go through it ridiculous I’m literally fuming right now

Went in close to midnight, the missus got them red salt chips saying they were absolutely banging and I tried one... Must say, absolute scran!!! 😜 10/10, what a delictable feast. My bird woke us up at 6am still talking about them red salt chips asking to go ASAP!! Google saying it's opens at 3pm and almost cried, she was devastated! We checked the website and it says it's opens 24/7 but we don't want to risk getting there and it being closed. I think she would leave me for them chips tho, can't lie lads... Keep up the excellent work boss man!!🙏

Don't waste your money. Starving came in first needed to wait a long time to order. Had 3 same orders for us. Ordered Doner kebab in pitta. Waited for an eternity again. And only got kebab in pitta with sauce, no lettuce no tomatoes no nothing else. Don't order Doner from here, it's only kebab and pitta! You can't eat that much kebab anyway! After eating less than half feel like vomitting. Shouldn't be allowed to sell Doner if they don't know what Doner is.

I ordered 1 veggie burger and 1 fish burger as my partner and I don't eat meat. Relieved 2 clearly chicken burgers and when I tried to ring in, no one picked up. The fries were cold but at least the sides were okay. If I hadn't have checked I could've ended up severally ill as I'm a vegetarian.

Ordered bone less box meal large got frozen chicken or it was overcooked , my chips were raw and limp , samosas were cold and soggy , I rang up and asked for more chips and samosas they were very helpful but unfortunately the fries came the same no crisp to them just barely cooked , if you can't cook fries your done ffs . Try changing your oil once a week atleast realy overpowered my chicken with burnt oil taste , I have had nothing but bad food from here do not go here it's all fake food fresh frozen😂. I'm never eating here again joke

I won’t be buying from here ever again, lettuce had seen better days, chicken fillet…..I have no words to describe how awful this was and I only think the bun was soft because it was put in the microwave. The fries were inedible…it must have been at least the second time of re-cooking them, they were rock hard with a disgusting bitter taste of dirty old cooking oil. I’d be thoroughly embarrassed to serve this to a customer and actually charge them for it.

Cancelled my order on Uber Eats 5 minutes after I made it, claiming that it was at my request which it certainly wasn't. Caused me to lose a £12 voucher. Avoid if ordering on apps!

Food doesn’t taste fresh, delivery was late again. Waiting 1 hour 20 minutes for a chicken burger and chips on a week day.

Shocking! Don't deliver orders through uber eats

Too salty for my taste/ health but very tasty. Delayed by 90 min ( should receive order at 10pm but arrive at 23.30 because of some website issue I assume, called one hour after placed delivery and they didn't know about my order, maybe to busy to see it? They made up to it tho so I am happy. Also wrong pizza ( wife ordered meaty pizza with 3 types meat and we got pepperoni pizza instead which I like very much.. so happy again ... ) Wings were not spicy, just very salty... but juicy! So made a garlic sauce to mix it with and went great! My advice for this shop is to improve they're delivery and the online orders system to avoid this issues, maybe have like screens with orders from all platforms for staff to easily see order etc? And customers advice for now, just phone them up to make sure it got delivered to avoid delay, my wife a bit impatient on the call on how she talk to staff but even so they were calm, responsive and fixed it in the end! Order placed 9.30pm, 10.30pm phoned and order reordered... 11 30pm arrived. Good luck and thanks for reading!

It’s very hit and miss these days chicken village, Upto about 6 years ago this place was one of my favourite, these days I still like to dabble every now and then. I’ve had 3 orders in the last 12 months, one was missing a few things but nothing major just like regular fries should have been large, cans of pop etc. 2nd order a few months back was absolutely fabulous like I discovered a new favourite food which is the garlic cheese pizza and donor meat, now tonihjt I’ve ordered the same food again and this time the chips were all soggy, the popcorn chicken looked like it had been cooked in old fat and the lettuce on the burger had seen better days and as for my garlic cheese pizza with donor, I’ll let the picture talk for its self, they just have ran out of donor and just used all the burnt bits out of the pan. It’s a shame really as when this place is on the mood it’s really delicious and for the prices it’s so good value for money, but with it being a gamble and a 50/50 chance on what you’re going to get i would Hoenslty avoid delivery at all cost and go to the shop itself if you do fancy it. Unfortunately there are chicken places around town now that are beginning to surprise chicken village and it’s a shame. This place Just need maintain high standards through out every order, whether that comes down to a staffing issue, or to many orders or not enough produce I don’t know.

DONT ORDER FROM HERE!!! ordered 4 things and everything was wrong. Asked for it to be resent out but to another address after 1 hour nothing turned up. Phoned again asking for a refund and got told it will be sent when they have the time. Nothing again sent out. Rang up the next day but got told they went to both addresses with the money 4 times (which nothing happened). Getting charged for said delivery of the money after asking for the manager or some who is in charged we have been spoken to horribly saying its our fault not there's don't ever deserve 1 star

Thanks for that cold chicken not cooked it was lovely i got 6 wings 1 chicken a burger and chips delivered to southworth avenue the chicken was pink and cold and just left thanks for that absolutely ridiculous how are you open cold wet fries shifty characters delivering it how can you send cold uncooked food to a customer its beyond belief it could of killed me if I was drunk and ate it because it was not cooked in the middle the chicken was fresh pink inside i loved this place that will be my last order form here its totally gone downhill I used to love it been a customer over 5 years but uncooked food is the end goodbye chicken village poison someone else.. edit 08.02.03 now saying its a fake review trust me it is not Lilford avenue i always got this place it was lovely until cold uncooked food came

This place has been reviewed b0mbed into the ground. For that reason I've avoided it but today I was curious to see how bad could it be. Inspecting the reviews, most 1 star reviews seem to be about delivery time, around 70 percent. The rest is a mixture of cold/raw food and poor customer service. A few of them are definitely fake but mostly not the ones the owner accuses of being fake. And it's odd there are so few pictures for so many bad reviews. Mind you, some of the 5 star reviews also seem fake and go along the lines of "best food I've ever had the pleasure of tasting!!!", but only a couple are like that. I went in person. I had large fries 1.99, 12 chicken strips 7.49 and 2 dips for 1. While the fries were quite skinny and the strips were on the smaller side, for the price it was great and I couldn't finish it all in one sitting. The food seemed fresh and was very hot. Though I did notice some chicken wings in the prepared food area that did not look too appetising. The food tasted good too. I think this place deserves 4 stars for being satisfactory, 5 stars is for places that are exceptional but I think the current rating is unfair so I will give 5 stars. I would suggest improving the customer service and especially the delivery service because that's where most of the bad reviews seem to be coming from.

The best chicken in town I ordered chekin and chips and doner was absolutely fabulous I got my delivery in 15 minute it was really fast I recommend it keep up.

Just went in to buy a popcorn meal and a milkshake for my daughter and as they was passing the food over there was a child behind the counter licking and spitting on the stainless steel food prep counter and rubbing it in with his hands. They refused to give rhe money back until I told them I was recording the conversation and told me I was barred. Like I would ever eat from there again anyway the dirty bustards want shutting down. Sent the wrong food, the woman who made the food was convinced she made the right food (Clearly didnt) refused to take reponsability and told me that i didnt have to order from here, asked could i speak to her manager and she said hes not here so youll have to take it up with him another time? AVOID AVOID AVOID. I wish we had an option for 0 stars. Food arrived stone cold and LATE. Ordered a pizza amongst other items however the pizza was raw in the middle and the dough was stringier than the cheese. Chips were freezing cold and raw in middle. Called the shop to complain and ask for a refund / new order however they said they they wouldn’t do any of the above as it was “cooked” when it left their establishment and we didn’t specify that the pizza needed to be “well done”. I didn’t realise that pizza was a steak and how a pizza can uncook itself we are yet to discover? AVOID AVOID disgusting food and customer service. (Seeing as the owner would like to call this a fake review , I would like to post an update. I’ve not stopped vomiting last night. Order number was 3643. 1x Carribean pizza, 1x donner and chips and 1x cheese garlic bread , all of which are now in the bin)

Chicken was cold and pink forgot most of are order given us something that we didn’t order plus they told us 30-45 mins and it was an hour and a half

My order took over 2 hours to arrive. Then when it eventually turned up was stone cold and was absolutely vile looking I wouldn’t have even fed it to my dog to be brutally honest.

Was told 45 minutes for food to arrive which then took 2 hours, I rang several times and was told the food was on it's way (which it wasn't). I told them I wouldn't pay for cold food and when the driver finally turned up he said immediately that the food was cold and he personally wouldn't pay for it. He was also told to walk away if I didn't pay full price. I didn't pay and he took the cold food away. If you are thinking of ordering from here DO NOT, they are a poor example of what a takeaway should be!!!

Ordered via FoodHub at 4:26pm. Currently 6:21pm and food still hasn’t arrived. Both FoodHub and I unable to get through to the restaurant via phone but restaurant quick enough to accept my order. Refund requested and will absolutely not order from again.

Everytime I order from this place something is either wrong or missed.....the only reason we chose to go here was to get red salt on our chips and specifically asked them to pile it on and the chips came freezing and as barren as the desert.shame as the food is really nice when done right but just too inconsistent

Delicious food. Really nice service from the owner I believe and well priced. It's my first time I'm up this way from London so didn't expect things to be so cheap. Appreciate the kindness and if in the area would return.

Food was almost an hour late and though it was hot when it arrived, I suspect it had been forgotten about and reheated after I called up to find out where it was. The fries were rubbery, the lettuce on the burgers was wilted to the point of slimy, and the chicken was tough. They also got the drinks wrong; we ordered Coke and got Pepsi, and they sent some orange 'Mirinda' instead of the Fanta we ordered. Don't think I'll order from here again - the food was edible but certainly not worth the £26 I paid for the 3 meals. There's better takeaways in the area!

Previously ordered from Chicken Village and it was good, so ordered food to eat during England v Scotland game, the food was very nice indeed - the chicken wrap was brilliant. Delivery driver was very polite, top marks from me all round.

Doesn't even deserve 1 star! Twice I've ordered from this so called place of food. And twice they have cancelled the order after 1 hour 30 minutes. The first time they told me that the driver had broke down, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt, that was a few months ago, so I've tried again today and got exactly the same, a text saying that the order was cancelled after 1 hour 30 minutes, so I called, again, and again "sorry driver broke". Yeah course it is. What are the chances of exactly the same thing happening twice on the bounce, not bloody likely. Will NEVER be placing an order here again and would not recommend them one bit

Phone up for a delivery and they was very polite understand on the phone I could understand what they was saying. In very happy with my order and the chips are a lot better than any other places. If you haven't tried it get the Ferrero richer shake it well fit. Thank you chicken village for my order also the driver had a face mask on which mad me happy.

Didnt bother to read my just eat notes on what I wanted on my order as you can't edit my order on just eat and gave me the wrong order. The food was dry also.
