The Cantonese Kitchen in Charnwood

The order was late, then they forgot half of order, so we had to wait even longer. Then when the food arrived it was absolutely disgusting. Greasy and tasteless. I will never order again.

We had a very enjoyable takeaway meal from Cantonese Kitchen last night - the aromatic duck was excellent (helpfully already shredded) and the soft noodles with King Prawns were very much enjoyed. Delicious "Capital Spare Ribs" (succulent - not overly spicy).The chilli and salt squid was really enjoyable. We found the portion sizes to be generous - overall felt that it was a very good value meal. The service was friendly, really helpful and without doubt we certainly make a return visit.

I cannot fault Cantonese Kitchen. Me and my partner have been going for years and have never had a bad experience! Jack is always extremely helpful and cheery and his service is always spot on! Great value for money as food is always full to the brim I actually have leftovers!!! Best Chinese I have ever had and would definitely recommend! Ashley and Jack 👍🏼

I have never bothered to write a review for anything before but feel so annoyed with the repeated poor service from Cantonese Kitchen. We have been a customer for around 20 years and always had excellent service until recently. In the last 5 orders we have placed for delivery 3 have been incorrect when we received them. For the first two they acknowledged a mistake had been made and delivered the missing element. The delay still spoiled the meal but these things happen and there isnt much else they can do. Today the meal arrived with a wrong item sent instead of what we had ordered. Again the meal was spoiled but their attitude was appalling. They would not accept they were responsible and would only send a replacement if we payed again and since they were busy it would not be soon. ( more profitable for them not to provide what had been payed for!) Awful service awful attitude and obviously dont value their customers. 3 out of 5 is poor odds for having a spoiled meal and so this wont be just happening to us ---- DONT GO HERE! (plenty of other Chinese Restaurants in Loughborough who are competent and value their customers)

This place (IMO) was the best place in Loughborough for a fair priced Chinese / Cantonese takeaway. It was friendly. customer aware and good value for money. It has obviously changed management as it now thinks customers are there to serve it rather than Vice Versa. Let me say that the chefs are excellent and the food is good. I live less than 400 yards from it. It WAS a friendly welcoming place but now it is just a food factory. The management for some time have been unwelcoming and totally customer Unconscious. Minimum spend £10 when all I wanted was an "Egg Fried Rice" without delivery? It is now shut for a week to catch up on what it could have done during the lock down! The food is good but the management are abominable.

My local takeaway, food always comes warm and tasty. Love it. ] They also do a really tasty portion of chips as a side dish.

Ordered lemon chicken but without the honey. Large portion with plenty of sauce in container. Usual hot crispy double cooked chips too. Quick +friendly service too.

We are constantly trying to find new and authentic places to eat in Loughborough and this has to be the best. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We get our food delivered by a lovely gentleman who is always on time and a very polite person. The man at the counter also cares about his customers as he offers free prawn crackers and fortune cookies. Delivery was £1 for a 2 miles journey. Great takeaway highly recommend. There is a wheelchair ramp as you enter the building and railings to help even the most challenged of customers really enjoy eating here.

Great take away. Always very quick and on time. I just wish they would do a bird's nest like the restaurants do. Then it would be 5. In fact, can you do them?

Cantonese kitchen is one of Loughborough’s most most authentic Cantonese cuisines. It is hidden away on a busy road but is easy to access, the place is a take away service due to not much table room but makes up for it by amazing quality food. The menu has many great things to order such as the Thai style prawn and crackers, my recommended dish is the black bean prawn sauce with the egg fried rice. This is great due to the lovely seasonings and taste. The food also come in reusable plastic containers so you can store other items in there later on. One issue is that the place is not halal and for some dishes, the containers are a bit too small.

We've been ordering from the Cantonese Kitchen for years; good food. Asked today for a little extra chilli in my dish- as usual - only to be told that they'd add 10p for that. 10p is neither here nor there, I know - but it was to them! Not the best way to encourage loyalty - or advertising on their behalf.

I love Chinese food and this takeaway is on e of the best in loughborough, yes it is a little pricey however the sweet and sour chicken is amazing.

Used to be great takeaway, but recently something went wrong. Food is greasy and not very good. Last few times I got old chicken wings. When ordered wun-tun there was no stuffing. Absolutely gutted that my favourite takeaway is absolutely awful now

We regularly use the Cantonese Kitchen and can't fault them. The food is fresh, prepared to a high standard and is always piping hot. The staff are lovely and always smiling and happy to see returning customers. They happily help you by explaining dishes to try and we like the open plan kitchen so you can see you food being made upon order. I don't at all see how this place gets any negative feedback as we come regular and have NEVER had an issue. Keep up the good work and great standards.

Have been going to this takeaway for mearly 10 years and still havent had a bad one! Very good food always tastes great.

Ordered a meal and collected it. When I got home I found they had forgotten an item, I rang to complain and was told that they hadn't charged me for it and hung up, totally ruined the meal.........very very poor customer service

Great takeaway food, can't fault it. I love the occasional aggressive customer service :-), others might not.

Me and several of my friends from the university order takeaways from this restaurant weekly (sometimes more) for about a year now the food had always been great, after ordering from other Chinese/Cantonese takeaway's we always came back to Cantonese Kitchen, however there have been a couple of issues in the past, when in halls we were greeted by several drivers, the issue being it didn't seem like they even had a satnav as we have had to instruct them around the campus via phone.

Visit this place regularly can't fault it at all. Foods cooked to order While you wait. Alway hot and well marked. Not had anything delivered before.

I will never use this takeaway again..We ordered two weeks ago and had a home delivery all went well. Today they refused to deliver as they said they were busy. It's Saturday night what do they expect?They said they didn't care we had a delivery two weeks ago. Disgusting customer service!Will never ever use again!Ordered an Indian takeaway instead as they are also busy but wanted our business!!!
