Absolutely amazing! The flavors were rich, authentic, and perfectly balanced. Every bite—from the chilli paneer, tandoori paneer, noodles, fish pakoda, lamb chop, chilli chips, momos to the cheesy naan —was a burst of spice and comfort. The drinks were amazing and the service was top-notch. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Very delicious food 🤤 will recommend everyone who are looking for mouth watering starters especially tandori paneer, noodles, momos, lambchops, fish pakoras, chilli paneer.

Booked as a group of 15 and spent over £400 — what followed was one of the most chaotic dining experiences I’ve ever had. We waited more than two and a half hours for our food, which arrived in no logical order. Some people received mains while others were still waiting on starters. The kitchen was clearly overwhelmed and completely unprepared to handle a busy evening, let alone a pre-booked group of our size. At least five members of our party walked out, demanding refunds. If I hadn’t already paid, I would have joined them. The only saving grace was the food itself — once it eventually arrived, it was delicious — but even excellent cooking can’t compensate for such appalling service. The waitress did her absolute best and deserves credit for staying calm under pressure, but it was painfully obvious she was left to manage an impossible situation on her own. At one point, we even joked that she must’ve been eating the food as it was cooked — because there was simply no other explanation for the delays. Utterly unacceptable. Poor organisation, lack of leadership, and a complete disregard for the customer experience. We will not be returning — and I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking.

Waited 2hrs for food, was there from 6:30 ordered food at 7:15 got food at 9:30 curries came out 20 min before rice, pizza looked discusting didn’t even attempt to eat the pizza there was no tomato sauce on the pizza or pepperoni, booked a table for 6:30 was grandads birthday meal shocking service wouldn’t recommend

Very Poor Service Visited with a group of 14 and had a very disappointing experience. We ordered at 7pm, but food didn’t start arriving until between 9:30 and 9:45pm – and even then, it came out at different times. Some people still hadn’t been served by the time others had finished, and several had to box up their meals and leave due to early work commitments at 3am. It was clear the restaurant was overwhelmed. They had multiple large tables booked at the same time and were still accepting takeaway orders, which only made the delays worse. Better planning – such as staggering bookings or temporarily pausing new orders – would have helped avoid this situation. To make matters worse, the chef showed no care or concern when the issue was raised. Overall, a very poor experience and not somewhere I’d recommend for anyone especially larger groups!

Grabbed this for collection as a spur of the moment to take away, and WOW. I don’t think me and my other half have ever enjoyed a takeaway so much. The Tarkha Chips - never tried before, but have been on my mind since weve had them. Could not fault a single thing, everything was pipping hot, and delicious. Recommended to all my family and friends. Wont be ordering another takeaway from anywhere else moving forward, would rather go and collect due to how good it was. Id give 10* if I could!

Best take away I’ve had in a long time, will Be bringing the family next week for a meal inside. Compliments to the chef and all! 10/10 if I could give more than 5* I would!

Recently celebrated our daughter’s 21st here at The Apple Tree as the food came highly recommended and so glad we did. It was amazing!! Everyone in our party agreed the food was well cooked, hot and very tasty. We had the butter chicken and chicken tikka curries and they were lovely. Well worth a visit and will certainly be one of our regular places to eat from now on.

Please make sure when ordering if you would like your starters before your main to specify. When ordering I said to start I would like....... yet all the meal came out at once. The restaurant manager then stated that I needed to specifically tell them I wanted my starter before my main!!!!!!! Also asked how much a 750ml bottle of prosecco was, and was told £20. Ordered the bottle and had to pop the cork myself!! On ordering and paying £20 for a 2nd bottle I was then approached to be told I needed to pay an extra £10 for the 2 bottles as they had incorrectly told me £20 instead of £25. Phawana the waitress however was very lovely

Went on a work nights meal. They catered for 20 of us food was great and the staff are lovely would highly recommend.

Perfect meal. Delicious food with well balanced spices. Not so spicy that cannot eat but flavour-full. Definitely recommended the mixed grill, butter chicken and spicy chips. Amazing place for a meal and drinks with friends and family!

Amazing place, don't be put off by the tired outside. Once you're inside the food and the staff are fantastic. First time we have visited but we will definitely be back!

Stopped here for lunch and glad we did as the food was amazing. The food was cooked very traditionally and tasted fantastic. You need to buy drinks at the bar and then pay and order your food at the kitchen window in the corner. The place is decorated well inside but the toilets could do with being refurbished also. All in all very pleased and wish this new business well in the future keep up the amazing cooking.

Lovely, family environment for an Indian mixed grill, good selection of beers, quick service and all very tasty. Great place.

The food was absolutely fantastic tonight, this place is definitely our local Indian restaurant been back a few times now and food and staff do not disappoint, however i do think they should get rid of the pub side completely

We visited this restaurant during Christmas with a group of four family members. From the outside it looks like a worn down pub, but don't let that fool you as the interior is much more uplifting. The food is however absolutely incredible for the price that you pay. Definitely one on my list to revisit for the new year.

We visited The Apple Tree Bar & Grill last week and we were really impressed. The food is DELICIOUS and flavourful, the spices and the kitchen team area so accommodating and friendly. We had a mixture of meat and vegan dishes and we all REALLY enjoyed it. The environment in the pub is calm and relaxed and the staff are friendly. I would STRONGLY recommend this place if you want traditional Indian food. 10/10.

Is it a pub or is it a restaurant,? , the menu is relating to the Navigation Inn ? We walked in went to the bar, told them we'd booked a table, told to sit wherever, we sat at a table. No idea where to order food, no one told us what we are supposed to do. It was just like sitting in a Friday night boozer, if u want food the menu looked like pub grub.

If you are looking for a pub selling draught beer then this is not the pub for you, they don't sell draught beer. The service was not good with one person left clean tables, pick up dirty glasses and serve food and drink. I noticed that the bar person did not wash their hands after collecting dirty/used glasses (not good in these times of spreading disease) all in all definitely a pub to miss.

I live around the corner and have seen this place go through many transitions, many of which have not been for the better. Have often felt sad that it has so much unmet potential. Was not convinced by yet another new owner and another new sign. Last night me and my partner went in search of food and a few drinks and were told by a neighbour that we didn't need to head into town but to try here again. I was dubious but we decided to give it a try. Wow! What a transformation! The food was amazing, we both said it was the best curry we had had in a long time. The staff were all great, the place looks clean and welcoming and everything was reasonably priced. We ventured into the function room and that has been done nicely too. There was music on in there and a great atmosphere. I will be spreading the word and will definitely go again. I suggest that they advertise their events and food locally to make everyone aware of the changes. Maybe put some vouchers through local residents doors to get them try it for the first time? I really hope that they do well!

Loved it.went in for a pint the food smelt delicious so we thought why not,everything was lovely 2 pickle trays (only needed one) 4 poppadoms, two mains, 2 rice, 2 nans. £45 a pint of Guinness & a pint of cruzcampo under £9 can't wait to try it again,(bewarned it does have huge tvs showing sky sports ).

We have just visited for the third time since The Apple Tree has been up and running. We would highly recommend, the food is amazing. There is a great choice of curry’s but we opted for the mixed grill which we shared between two with a cheese and garlic nan, a hot jalfrazi curry sauce and the amazing Tarka chips. You can choose any of the curry sauces to have mild, medium or hot. We’ve tried the Madras as well as the Jalfrazi and can honestly say they are the best we’ve tasted, the chef’s incredible. The decor is lovely, it’s a really nice place but I would say I’d prefer not to have TV’s there but that’s just my preference. Having said that, it doesn’t put me off as the food’s incredible.

First venture here, food is lovely. Each dish unique in taste. Service is decent and the staff friendly. Place looks newly done up, much better to take the family than their sister pub the Peartree. Big screens splashed everywhere, so if you like your sport this is a great venue. Would definitely go again.

I recently visited this pub that was recently taken over and I have to say, the changes that have been made are nothing short of drastic. From the moment I walked in, I could tell that this was no longer the same old pub I used to visit. First and foremost, the food has gone from mediocre to absolutely amazing. The new menu offers a wide variety of dishes, from curry to amazing mix grills. Everything I tried was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. It's clear that the new owners have put a lot of thought and effort into the menu, and it definitely shows. But it's not just the food that has improved, the entire atmosphere of the pub has changed for the better. The decor is stylish and modern, creating a welcoming and comfortable ambiance. The bar staff are also a huge part of the positive experience. They are always friendly and welcoming, making sure that every customer feels right at home. I have to give a special shout out to the bar staff who always go above and beyond to make sure that my experience at the pub is top-notch. They are great at recommending drinks and are always willing to have a chat and make you feel like a regular, even if it's your first time there. It's clear that the new owners have put a lot of time and effort into revamping this pub, and it has definitely paid off. The changes they have made have elevated this pub to a whole new level.
