Birthday lunch. Ok roast, meat was tough. Food not hot enough. Service friendly but could be more attentive.

A quiet lunchtime venue worth sitting outside in the sun with a nice meal.

Very lovely restaurant/pub. The food is incredible and the decor and outside seating is beautiful. Quite expensive but you are paying a premium for quality and the stunning view.

Spent £60 on 2 meals and 2 pints. Had to cut my own pizza. CBA. Good food and service but expect to pay a premium for the pub grub...

The service and the atmosphere are excellent. Staff are nice and approachable. Thank you to the lovely Ukrainian lady at the bar for her patience with me and the short chat we had. The only downside is the stench coming from the creek nearby when the tide is out, but that's out of anyone's power. Prices are on the high side, but it happens everywhere, and I'd rather pay more for quality, which this pub provides.

An average looking but nice pub but very over priced. £6-7 per pint! Double the price of the pub opposite in some cases. Not sure why really as it is not very up market at all. As such it was very empty and didn't have much atmosphere.

Took a colleague for lunch on 25th July. We both ordered the jerk chicken ciabatta and service was very quick (but clearly too quick) The following day both of us came down with severe food poisoning which we pinpointed to this meal. I’ve visited here many times before but based on this experience, this visit would’ve been been my last.

Nice pint of Pride in the sun…however for the price of the sandwich, given it came with so few chips I would expect the bread to a bit more “special” then standard supermarket sliced loaf…. And the Tesco Value grated cheese was bland too

Love love this place! Nice views, excellent Sunday roast. Especially the lamb shoulder. Staff are faultless and cannot do enough for you. Highly recommend! Christmas Day is also a massive hit.

Large pub with a great outside eating area and looked to have a,large car park. Friendly, helpful and polite staff. Visited on a Sunday. Roast dinners look good but we had scampi and chips. Good size, hot and scampi were sweet. Didn't stop for a pudding as needed to catch a bus. Definitely worth another visit.

Nice pub after walking the estuary. Had ministrone soup which I found very thin and water, not that tasty.

We held our mothers wake at Cams Mill for about 80 guest. The staff and atmosphere were great and very attentive. The food we ordered was well presented and lots of compliments were made. The venue is very inviting with large windows looking out onto the water with a nice outside seating area. Would recommend

Busy yet friendly venue. Fantastic food, and on the afternoon we visited, had the pleasure of listening to live music from Lennon Taylor.

The sea bass was absolutely delicious, and my father thoroughly enjoyed the meatless burger paired with the draft lager. It was a busy Sunday when we went for lunch so service took a little longer than I would have liked. Food was really good. If you have allergies make sure the server is aware and acts on it, I had to double check which is just as well as the dish I chose had gluten but it got sorted. I would go again.

Food very good. Well presented and good size portions. I was particularly impressed with the mezza platter we had for starters. I also saw someone else's order of fish and chips and it looked amazing. Prices good. Staff absolutely lovely 😍 It's the first time I've been and I'll definitely be coming back. Love this pub and it’s doesn’t feel like part of a chain. Lovely outside seating area in the summer. Food is delicious and they cater to fussy needs! Very dog friendly - water bowls, blankets and a mixture of treats. Our go to pub after a dog walk around the golf course!

First ever visit by my wife and I. We had a very warm welcome from the staff. Also the staff were careful to check the menu choice as my wife has a nut allergy. We were very well looked after by Kelly and Tracy. We had a spritz, 2 main meals (fish pie and chicken schnitzel), garlic cheesy bread, a sticky toffee pud and coffee and all were excellent. Thank you Steve & Linda.

Lovely place. Waited a long time for our food (which we have had to do the last few times we've been). But it was very busy! I think they may have been short staffed. One of the ladies who served us was really lovely, I didn't get her name but she had a Welsh accent, and was so warm and friendly. Food was really nice. Great menu.

Nice building but pretty poor food and service; table hadn't been cleaned properly, cutlery wasn't clean and food was fairly mediocre.

Dogs welcome outside and downstairs. Some sheltered tables outside. Food good, it has improved greatly from a few years ago. Decent election of beers too. Order food at the bar and pay up front. A bit of a wait, but it was busy. Quiet at 12:00, heaving at 1pm.

Normally we love this place but on this occasion there was only one waitress, who was run off her feet. Shown to a table, then waited 20mins before a drinks order was taken, then another 15mins before it arrived. No food order taken in that time, so we left. Complained on the way out to be told 'we are short staffed'. Poor show.

Great country feel to this place, really welcoming. The food is of top quality and they have a great selection of drinks, it's very dog friendly and even has a doggy dinner section consisting of treats and blankets.

We had an amazing Sunday lunch for 9 of us celebrating a family birthday. 2 family members are disabled, the team at the Cams Mill had everything ready and we were warmly welcomed. I'd highly recommend the roast dinners although I can't say no to the fish and chips - the minted peas and homemade curry sauce are amazing. The mini desserts and coffee are fantastic if you haven't got room for a full size pudding, many thanks to Tracy and the team for making our dinner so special.

We went planning on a late breakfast, but the choices were limited and comparatively expensive. The service was slow, yet when paying by card, we were asked to add a gratuity before we had been served. I did not feel that the service or atmosphere was a match for the prices

Waiting to be served at the unstaffed bar for several minutes. Couple walk in and passing staff ignored us and escorted them to a table. We left. Disgraceful.

Was here for 2 events in 3 days. First works Christmas dinner, we were well looked after and the food was excellent. Well cooked vegetables, which I often find to be an issue at Christmas events. Friendly service, clean and seasonal decorations. The second event was a family lunch for 20, again the food and portions were excellent . Service was brilliant, we were early arriving and it was very cold outside, so they allowed us in with my disabled Mum to keep warm as the rest of the family arrived. I would highly recommend Cams Mill for food, family and just a good evening out. The big hamper of games in the bar is great with the family.

Very hospitable pub. Very busy but no sign of staff slacking or being annoyed because they are busy. Sunday lunch excellent.

I had dinner and I can only say that Tracy the GM is absolutely lovely. She looked after us entire visit.

Food was good, but let down by the wait for the food, 40 min wait for a burger then 25 min wait for a choc pudding, food good but has put me off going for a lunch again

Second time back here and it didn't disappoint in terms of atmosphere, service and beer! If we lived closer then we would visit this pub all the time!

Find really tasty had the steak pie served with parsnips, cabbage , carrot and mash. Delicious my husband had the sea bass.

This is a standard food sort of gastro pub, but does look well on it inside. Worth using for ease of access and plenty of table etc.

What can I say? Went here for a Christmas meal with work and have had good experience before. This time however it was awful. We got seated quickly but with a much bigger party upstairs the service was woeful. The steak was, at best a supermarket £5 steak. It certainly did not justify nearly £30! The pudding was nice but again no where near justified the price. I hope this was just being significantly overstretched and a one off.

Great place to chill outside in the daytime / nice weather. Fully open for excellent food, drinks and friendly service. Just coffee this time and its proper ☕ coffee with a range of choices.

Excellent food, came for a Sunday roast at lunch time, was busy but the food was brought out very quickly and was delicious. Really well cooked meats for all members of our party. Easy to park and a great location. Lovely views overlooking the creek. Pricing was very fair and the portions were just right. Highly reccomend a visit.

We were a table of 9 for lunch on a Saturday. Lovely venue overlooking the water and the food when it finally came was good but it took about an hour from ordering to arriving. Waiting staff seemed to lack training and didn’t know the menu well.

The last couple of times the food has not been great. An anemic pizza and small portion, over salty roast with burnt Yorkshire pudding. It's a shame because the first time we went it was great

Cams Mill is our local and we always adore it here but tonight was a new high, my friend and I had a girls date and the service was perfect, Yulia and Jacqui looked after us, they were fantastic - so attentive, went the extra mile, really kind and just lovely people. Cams Mill is lucky to have them. The food was gorgeous and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend. Thank you.

Started well with friendly waitress. Drinks ok. Food ordered ok. Trout great. Ham burned not edible. Took 20 minutes from finishing meal to waitress taking plates away & ordered puddings. Treacle sponge not heated properly.

Steph and her team looked after a group of 20 of us. The food was excellent, really tasty, I had the calves liver which was delicious. Every one agreed a great night, supported by great service. Thank you all.

First visit to Cams Mill for a family celebration and it was fantastic.

Uninspiring menu.3 out of 8 starters = chicken dishes.6 out of 12 "sides" = potatoes cooked in various way. Main meals mostly heavy /battered /pie /burgers /fried limiting choice. No inspiring choice of fresh vegetables or lighter meals (except the ubiquitous salad.) Those which I ordered in lieu of a main course were unavailable (twice) so I ended up with soggy cabbage and peas. Overpriced for what is in effect unremarkable "pub grub". Modern building, spacious ,wood beams, probably built to accommodate large groups ,for which best suited. Car park dark and gloomy, some lights not working. Toilets ( upstairs) are very clean. Real fire in bar area. Lacks authenticity of traditional "pub" . Useful place to meet as is easy to find near main junction roundabout.

Nice pub but a shame the restaurant area is so big - would be better off making more of it the bar area. Also quite pricey for what it is, particularly the food.

Had an amazing experience, , as it was my birthday, had a 25% off voucher which was so welcome, I had the Sunday roast, which was roast pork with crackling, the roast potatoes were amazing, perfectly roasted on the outside, and perfectly cooked on the inside, plus a portion of cauliflower cheese, only a slight disappointment my carrot and parsnip were slightly too al dente for me, had a nice merlot, my nephew had a Margarita pizza with pepperoni slices which he enjoyed, my sister had chicken with a ceasar salad, all in all a wonderful experience

Popped into the Cams Mill with friends after attending an event at Fort Nelson. We had a.warm welcome from the staff, Drinks order taken quickly and delivered by one of the waiting staff. The food was excellent, plenty of choice. We had a good chat with one of the waitresses, I believe her name was Julia and our other waiting staff were also great, one chap especially, didn't get his name but he did have a fetching tiger tattoo. Not sure how to rate atmosphere, but the pub decor was fine. Will visit again when we are next in the area.

A party of 4, all chose off the sandwich menu. Very well cooked and presented. Friendly staff, very helpful when wanting to substitute items for some thing different. Ambiance and cleanliness very good. Will return.

I asked Tracey at Camms to organise a small get together of 25 of my friends and family. The food was spot on and the staff were brilliant. Would highly recommend.
