Would I go back.... Yes I would, good food, good atmosphere and good service at a decent price... What more could you want

Good food. It took a little while to be served however the drinks arrived quickly. The restaurant itself is lovely and the serving staff were first class. The prices were reasonable so overall a good night.

Recently refurbished and has a modern but cozy atmosphere. Staff always very attentive and friendly with prompt service. Prices have gone up since the refurbishment and the price for a raspberry parfait about the size of a tablespoon at £8.50 is taking the p. Overall though a nice place to visit with a large outdoor patio for the warm summer days ahead.

Very nice indeed for that special date or treat the wife or husband. Steak was excellent 👌 not much more to say I'd definitely go again if I'm in the area

The food was lovely, we had the pie and mash and the burger both were lovely the service was great , it is a lovely place to eat with lovely surroundings

Lovely place, great location and the staff were really friendly. The food was ok for the meat eaters but for the 2 vegetarians in the group their meals, linguine and risotto, were grim. They tasted of nothing and the whole group tasted to verify so it wasn't just two odd taste bud types on the day. Avoid if vegetarian I would say.

Beautiful Pub and restaurant at the end of the coastal path walk. There is plenty of outdoor seating and a great shelter if it rains. Food is really good but is a little more expensive than most Pub restaurants around the area, but the setting and atmosphere make up for it.

From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by a warm and charming atmosphere. The service was exceptional; the staff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The menu is diverse and filled with delicious options. I tried the [insert the dish you ordered], and it was simply divine! The flavors were so fresh and well-balanced. In addition to the wonderful food, the ambiance of the place is perfect for a relaxing dinner or a special celebration. The venue has a unique charm with its cozy decor and stunning views. I will definitely be returning to Cam's Mill to enjoy this fantastic culinary experience once again! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal in a delightful setting.

Perfectly reasonable food in nice location. However service is geared very much like a Harvester with - young - attentive waiter/waitress. Prices I feel are too high and ultimately I am tempted to use the term 'pseudo - sophistication' This is after all a pub and as such, prices are excessive. Judge for yourself. NOTES NOW REF VISIT 2/3/2025: Revisited with partner since we've had a great quality roast here few months back. Our Pork Roast today was excellent but said with reservations: Food is well presented but Portions have decinitely been cut back - at least compared to past. Noteable bearing in mibd cost. Worse though is that I waited a considerable time for a Crumble dessert and only had it delivered moments after I suggested cancellng it from order. I would have eaten it but the semi burnt crumble top was disguied by excess icing sugar....poor show!. Pity, since the place is popular in nice setting. Staff seemed a little stretched so unable to offer great ATD. Not sure we will be back soon, other than for drink 😥

As a group of five for (a long) lunch we ordered wings, pizza, faggots, squid and nachos, drank beers and a nice Rioja, finished with coffees and rum. The food was very good, the pub was well presented and friendly with service by the outstanding Inna. We had a great time and will be back.

Impromptu late lunch with family. We all ordered something different from the menu, and all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. 😋 All the staff that tended to us were friendly and polite. The atmosphere was calm and comfortable at the time we were there (Thursday afternoon) and lovely sunshine coming through the windows (we were lucky!). Our pooch was made very welcome too, with water and treats. 🐕 We will look forward to our next visit to the Cams Mill!

We've had a lovely time here! The staff were friendly and the food was great! Also some lovely views over Fareham Lake/River Wallington, even on a cloudy and rainy day. Would highly recommend!

Lovely pub. Food average. In some cases, poor. To expensive for the quality of food. The desserts were extorionate for the quantity. £7-25. A serving of rice pudding , about 2 tablespoons.

For a roast that cost £25 per person for the duo, you’d expect a half decent roast, the potatoes were stale, barely any gravy - we had to ask for extra, the beef was so tough we couldn’t eat it and there was no stuffing - really disappointed for such a lovely venue - when telling the staff we didn’t get offered free drink of a discount from the meal - we’d have got better from Toby Carvery

Very disappointed. Family of four adults. Given a table that might comfortably sit 2. Asked to move. Second table no better. Waited over 30 mins for drinks that never arrived. Family work in hospitality and this is simply poor service. We booked a week in advance and expect better. We have been many times before. Significant drop in service. Didn't even get chance to discuss our issues. 👎👎

Visited last Saturday lunchtime to celebrate a birthday. I'd been looking forward to trying Cams Mill for some time and was very disappointed. We were seated next to the windows, which was a nice view, but unfortunately next to a very draughty door. The service was very slow, I assume they were short staffed since the restaurant was by no means full. However, we didn't receive any apology for the slowness. With a dog and a 9 year old in tow this was particularly difficult. The food was pretty awful. The burger was cold, the pies very over-salted and the child's pizza, rather than being a mini version of the adult pizza, was the type of child's frozen pizza you get from the supermarket (I suspect it cost them about 50p and we were charged £6.50). My son refused to eat it because it was the same as the school dinner pizzas he hates. It's such a shame. The venue is a lovely building and laid out nicely, with ample outdoor seating for the warmer months. They're also dog friendly which is a real bonus. The staff were nice. However, the quality of the food and speed of service let them down badly, particularly considering what they charge. We won't be going back.

The wife ordered the chicken burger. It was served with the chicken incenerated, was sent back, after a 25 minute wait, it came back undercooked. She ate it under duress and through hunger. Not a good experience, food wise, disappointed. However, staff were efficient and friendly, a nice place to visit, just beware of the chicken burgers....

Slow service and poorly cooked food and very cold and in the dining area the heating was not working efficiently enough 🤢 my advice is keep clear of this pub

Great cosy pub with extremely nice decor. Wood fire in the winter months makes it very welcoming.

An unexpected treasure by the water. A large, restored mill with a great atmosphere. The service was excellent and the food delicious.

The service was so slow it was ridiculous. We didn't even get any water till we had been there nearly half an hour! The host had a stinking cold and could hardly speak which is unacceptable for a place when you are ou to eat. He shouldn't be serving anyone. Our lady who.looked after us finally was lovely. The food when we got it was really nice. I like the place but they weren't even busy so why we we left unattended for so long I don't know.

Yesterday was my Daughter's (and her now husband) wedding celebration meal at Cams Mill. Steph was so kind and helpful with the planning. We left all the decorations on Friday and when we arrived the venue was decorated to perfection. It looked fantastic. The meal was faultless, absolutely delicious, hot and beautifully presented. Thankyou to the chefs. Chloe looked after us with all the drinks and was very attentive. She did a wonderful job as did the other staff. Thankyou so so much you made the Wedding day perfect in every way. We cannot praise enough.

Scampi was a bit overcooked, and the haddock finger sandwich was tasteless. The sticky toffee and chocolate puddings were sadly not the best (think they forgot about them as they arrived 35 mins after ordering and were tepid). Lovely staff, very polite. I do think it is overpriced for the mediocre food we were served. However, on the plus side, it is dog friendly, and they offer dog treats at the door, very nice touch.

An average looking but nice pub but very over priced. £6-7 per pint! Double the price of the pub opposite in some cases. Not sure why really as it is not very up market at all. As such it was very empty and didn't have much atmosphere. Jul 2024 Went in again while passing to see if any change. 2 people in there, I stood at the bar for about 8 minutes waiting for service and got bored and left as nobody came. Pints have gone up in price now over £7! What a rip off! - Nov 2024

Cams Mill has a real makeover. Beautiful inside with nice outside space too, log fires and a spectacular view of the harbour. Web site doesn’t do it justice so go there and see for yourself.

Really nice place. Had haddock, chips and peas which was delicious. Service was particularly good, especially as the restaurant was busy on the Sunday we visited. Food arrived promptly as did the drinks and other things we ordered. Definitely a place to visit for a nice meal, well served in very pleasant surroundings.

WoW! If you thought Cams Mill looked beautiful before, you should see it now! Such a stunning makeover, a truly wonderful venue. We visited as a family on Friday night and had such a delightful evening. Everything was perfect, amazing food and charming service. Special shout out to the braised short rib crumpets with hollandaise sauce, really delicious. There are also some really good/ interesting new vegan/vegetarian options on the new menu. This was a refreshing change for my vegan partner, who is sometimes left frustrated at lack of options. He had Jerusalem artichoke risotto with sunflower seed, chickpea & candied olive crumb and said it was one of the best meals he has ever had! The children really enjoyed designing their own sundae and were treated really kindly with colouring sheets and crayons. Thank you Luke and Bex for such a wonderful evening, we will be back!

Went in on the first night of the reopening. Couldn’t fault anything. Food! Service! Drink! Atmosphere! Looks great too! Honestly, cannot wait to go back. Seriously go and check it out.

Very lovely restaurant/pub. The food is incredible and the decor and outside seating is beautiful. Quite expensive but you are paying a premium for quality and the stunning view.

Spent £60 on 2 meals and 2 pints. Had to cut my own pizza. CBA. Good food and service but expect to pay a premium for the pub grub...

The service and the atmosphere are excellent. Staff are nice and approachable. Thank you to the lovely Ukrainian lady at the bar for her patience with me and the short chat we had. The only downside is the stench coming from the creek nearby when the tide is out, but that's out of anyone's power. Prices are on the high side, but it happens everywhere, and I'd rather pay more for quality, which this pub provides.

Took a colleague for lunch on 25th July. We both ordered the jerk chicken ciabatta and service was very quick (but clearly too quick) The following day both of us came down with severe food poisoning which we pinpointed to this meal. I’ve visited here many times before but based on this experience, this visit would’ve been been my last.

Nice pint of Pride in the sun…however for the price of the sandwich, given it came with so few chips I would expect the bread to a bit more “special” then standard supermarket sliced loaf…. And the Tesco Value grated cheese was bland too

Large pub with a great outside eating area and looked to have a,large car park. Friendly, helpful and polite staff. Visited on a Sunday. Roast dinners look good but we had scampi and chips. Good size, hot and scampi were sweet. Didn't stop for a pudding as needed to catch a bus. Definitely worth another visit.

Love love this place! Nice views, excellent Sunday roast. Especially the lamb shoulder. Staff are faultless and cannot do enough for you. Highly recommend! Christmas Day is also a massive hit.

We held our mothers wake at Cams Mill for about 80 guest. The staff and atmosphere were great and very attentive. The food we ordered was well presented and lots of compliments were made. The venue is very inviting with large windows looking out onto the water with a nice outside seating area. Would recommend

It was a busy Sunday when we went for lunch so service took a little longer than I would have liked. Food was really good. If you have allergies make sure the server is aware and acts on it, I had to double check which is just as well as the dish I chose had gluten but it got sorted. I would go again.

I also saw someone else's order of fish and chips and it looked amazing. Prices good. Staff absolutely lovely 😍 It's the first time I've been and I'll definitely be coming back. Love this pub and it’s doesn’t feel like part of a chain. Lovely outside seating area in the summer. Food is delicious and they cater to fussy needs! Very dog friendly - water bowls, blankets and a mixture of treats. Our go to pub after a dog walk around the golf course!

First ever visit by my wife and I. We had a very warm welcome from the staff. Also the staff were careful to check the menu choice as my wife has a nut allergy. We were very well looked after by Kelly and Tracy. We had a spritz, 2 main meals (fish pie and chicken schnitzel), garlic cheesy bread, a sticky toffee pud and coffee and all were excellent. Thank you Steve & Linda.

Lovely place. Waited a long time for our food (which we have had to do the last few times we've been). But it was very busy! I think they may have been short staffed. One of the ladies who served us was really lovely, I didn't get her name but she had a Welsh accent, and was so warm and friendly. Food was really nice. Great menu.

Nice building but pretty poor food and service; table hadn't been cleaned properly, cutlery wasn't clean and food was fairly mediocre.

Dogs welcome outside and downstairs. Some sheltered tables outside. Food good, it has improved greatly from a few years ago. Decent election of beers too. Order food at the bar and pay up front. A bit of a wait, but it was busy. Quiet at 12:00, heaving at 1pm.

Great country feel to this place, really welcoming. The food is of top quality and they have a great selection of drinks, it's very dog friendly and even has a doggy dinner section consisting of treats and blankets.

We had an amazing Sunday lunch for 9 of us celebrating a family birthday. 2 family members are disabled, the team at the Cams Mill had everything ready and we were warmly welcomed. I'd highly recommend the roast dinners although I can't say no to the fish and chips - the minted peas and homemade curry sauce are amazing. The mini desserts and coffee are fantastic if you haven't got room for a full size pudding, many thanks to Tracy and the team for making our dinner so special.

We went planning on a late breakfast, but the choices were limited and comparatively expensive. The service was slow, yet when paying by card, we were asked to add a gratuity before we had been served. I did not feel that the service or atmosphere was a match for the prices
