This was the best cream tea, we have ever had. The scones were freshly made, light and delicious with very generous portions of both jam and cream and incredibly good value. The garden setting is beautiful. We had a walk around the ponds and enjoyed seeing a whole variety of farm animals. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We had visited Tyneham village and were on our way home when we saw the sign to the tea room. We are so glad we turned off and found it. We’ll be back and will definitely recommend to friends and family.

The coffee and cake were excellent as was lunch we have had in the past but I feel I must point out certain issues I have with the service .The poor service begins at the tiny enclosed counter on the roadside ,the young lady who took our order could not hear what we wanted to order got it wrong and had to be corrected several times. Then when you go into the garden and take a seat inside, the assistant calls your number from the serving hatch . Unfortunately you cannot hear them calling and other customers help each other out by repeating the order number,When you have finished your food you take your own tray back toward the kitchen.Never once do you have any interaction from a staff member Where's the Customer service ? ITs very poor

What a lovely place in a beautiful location. Friendly service and very efficient. We enjoyed the food. Lots of outside tables and a wooden inside seated area. There were lots of families enjoying the outside freedom and the farm animals.

Have lived in Swanage for many years but not heard of this little tea room. Wanted a place to visit with our Austin 7 and this is perfect for a drive out in the Purbecks. Very nice coffee and cake, too many to choose from! will definitely be back to explore the rest of the menu items.

Excellent cream tea. Lovely tea served in a large tea pot, plenty of milk as requested. Beautiful big, fruity scones served with rich clotted cream and jam. Delicious. The seating area is nestled in a clean, comfortable large barn style shed, with garden. The day we visited it was raining otherwise we would have happily sat in the garden at a picnic table. Staff are friendly and polite. Thank you.

I was very disappointed with our trip here recently and this was solely down to the cream tea I ordered for myself and my daughter. The scones looked impressive but I only had one bite as sadly the texture was like a sponge and had lots of cinnamon in. My daughter had started eating before me and had a few bites but said she didn't like it either. Then I realised the clotted cream we were given had gone off and tasted absolutely disgusting, even smelling the pot made your stomach turn. Luckily the young lady I told didn't hesitate to change it for a slice of cake and an ice cream for my daughter. The grounds are stunning and the staff were all very nice but I definitely wouldn't recommend the scones which is a shame.

Literally stumbled across this having seen a small sign on the road from Corfe to Wareham. Persevered with the 2.5 mile drive and glad we did. Picturesque location, good food, reasonably priced, clean and tidy with very courteous staff. The owners are succeeding in offering something worth travelling to. Noticed a busy campsite there as well and the emu’s in their petting zoo had me hooked. Well worth a visit, the kids there all seemed to be enjoying it.

Visited on a weekend lunchtime with the family. Menus very easy to find, and ordering at the serving hatch is simple enough. We had 2 ploughmans, a panini, and jacket potato, 2 milkshakes, 2 coffees, a slice of cake and a pot of tea for a little over £50, which I though was very good value. We had about a 25 minute wait for our order to be prepared, but it was quite busy. They call out your order number and you have to go and collect. The portion sizes were excellent. The ploughmans coming with cheddar, brie and ham, and the cheese was in decent sized chunks too. The jacket potato was huge! All served with a really healthy salad garnish that was closer to a full salad than a garnish. Nice to have the animals for the kids to visit too, an interesting mix, some of them being animals you might not expect to find in the Dorset countryside! Toilet facilities somewhat on the basic side (2 stalls in a small portakabin) but I guess it is about the best that they can provide at the venue.

Despite informing staff on arrival there was no way I could walk from the car park (75 yards down a rough steep road) and had to park adjacent to the pick-up space, when I returned to my car they had moved the pickup bay sign to obstruct my exit. Despite ours being a simple order ... a tea, hot chocolate, bacon butty with extra bacon, and two flapjacks, staff struggled to find right price. Then you have to go back to the hatch to pick up your order when your number is called. If my wife had not been with me I could not have collected the order. When it arrived the extra bacon was missing as was one flapjack. To be fair they did redo the butty and provide the missing flapjack but it involved two walks to the serving hatch. And don't think about getting to the toilets. Another 75 metres over rough grassy terrain with a gate to negotiate half way. Food was good... but able bodied or rough terrain wheelchair users only. And it would be so easy to dedicate part of the paddock to disabled parking with a little thought. Disappointed....

Found this place by accident from a road sign saying ‘tea room 1 mile’ and what a great find! We parked in some kind of farm yard across the road and ordered at the counter. Portion sizes were BIG and didn’t stand a chance of finishing any of it: Delicious food and reasonably priced. We sat in the beautiful garden and soon discovered there was a range of animals to visit too! Would highly recommend

It's a real shame, it used to be a great friendly bar, but it's changed hands, some of the staff are rude. It's table service only and you can wait ages for to be served. If you approach the bar you are likely to be ignored. Loads of potential but let down.

At last, we have been visiting Swanage for over 30 years and the globe has always been one of our pubs of choice. It's been off the radar for the last two years or so BUT it's back, thanks to the locals for taking it on as a community pub project. We have recently been back in and it's back to the friendly welcoming family friendly pub, we went in Monday 19th August 24 and full of locals which we haven't seen for a long time. Beer etc back to a choice and all well looked after, as is the big back garden. Well done Swanage community, brilliant.
