A good traditional cafe on the High Street. On street parking or use a car park further up the road. Not a big place & not many tables & can get busy. Food is good & what you expect from this sort of establishment for a competitive price.

My favourite place in Swanage for breakfast, consistently good with quality ingredients, black pudding is the best I’ve had anywhere. Whether your eating in or taking away the foods always hot and fresh. Great selection of pies sausage rolls etc too.

I regularly go with a special needs client, who John and his team have always made welcome and go out of their way to accommodate his needs. They are very reasonably priced and the meal deals are excellent. The sausages and bacon are of excellent quality and portion sizes are very good also. He has a good selection of pies etc

Absolute gem of a cafe. We Couldn't resist popping in after seeing the pie and mash ad. Lovely staff and the grub was amazing just like my old pie & mash growing up in east London. Looking forward to visiting again. Thanks guys.

Called in today for a meal. The cafe is small With limited seating but if you can get a spot I'd reccomend a visit. Worth nothing they don't accept sit in unless you are eating which is fair enough. I had a breakfast baguette with others having breakfasts and pie & chips. All were high quality ingredients cooked well and great value.

Amazing breakfast, great quality ingredients all cooked from fresh. We visited here twice for our breakfast during our stay in Swanage. The staff are all friendly & helpful, this was evident when an elderly gentleman came in who must have been a regular. His drink was ready for when he sat down, along with the morning paper. Such a lovely thing to witness. If we're ever visiting Swanage again, we will definitely be having our breakfast here.

Great little cafe in the heart of Swanage, all the food is freshly made to order (so expect a little wait at busy times) and the full breakfast is gorgeous, highly recommend a visit!!

One of my favourite places in Swanage, regularly eat in and take away! There's a great range of good quality produce but the standout offering for me are the items which they get from the Scottish butcher. I love the Scottish breakfast and I'm always delighted when I see the genuine lorne, proper black pudding and white pudding too - it's all just as good as the meals I've in the highlands. Having lorne, haggis and black pudding with onions in a roll for lunch is another favourite before grabbing a couple of Scotch pies to take home for dinner as well!

My favourite cafe in the area, but one that stands in strong contest against any cafe I regularly use (I work in St. James’ London), a proper cafe not a deli. The quality of the packaged products is second to none, the plated & takeaway food isn’t just great for the price but simply great, the chap behind the counter (owner?) is great; organised (rare in many places) & great to shoot the breeze with (interesting & funny), . If the locals are regulars it speaks for itself. AND check out the photos on the walls!

We found the place smelling of old fat as if it hadn’t been changed in a long time . The chap was slovenly dressed, hair in a mess and would not have wanted him any where near my food. He was ignorant, uncouth and very rude. We didn’t even sit down we left . Ok for a greasy spoon for workmen. We didn’t dine , we were looking for somewhere to have lunch. So we didn’t spend anything. If l could give no stars l would .

I was going to order a Homity Pie & Chips but they were out of stock so I went with their suggestion of the Cheese & Onion Pastie with Chips instead. The Pastie was shaped like a Cornish pastie but with a different filling and was delicious. I think the chips were handmade instead of shop bought and were very chunky & also very tasty. The staff were all friendly and seemed to be rushed off their feet with a continuous flow of customers wanting to buy food & drinks to takeaway. There are a small number of chairs & tables inside which is probably reduced due to the Covid. I would definitely eat there next time I visit Swanage.

Stumbled upon Teabreaks on a recent trip to Swanage. We were looking for a good value breakfast as we didn’t want to eat in our hotel. Very friendly owner and staff, interesting music memorabilia on the walls which was a great talking point. We had a lovely bacon and tomato baguette which was stuffed with good quality bacon, and an egg and sausage sandwich made with fresh crusty bread and a fried egg that was cooked perfectly. Great value and excellent service, we will definitely be back on our next visit to Swanage. Highly recommended.

Been staying in Swanage all week, and ate out every day. Have to admit, I was a little pessimistic about having something to eat here simply because the cafe is so small. Was looking for a costa but couldnt find one and came across this little cafe.. Not very big but got a table ok. Good choice of menu and prices were not too bad. Wife had scrambled eggs on toast and i had a bacon baguette, both enjoyed the food but not over fussy with the drinks. Did have a loo. Chap serving was on his own and seemed a bit stressed with things and wasnt too customer service focussed.

Chicken was presliced and packaged, with that off putting "crunch" you get from cheap chicken. My daughter refused to eat it so it ended up getting picked out of the bread. The bread was out of a packet too. To take this sandwich away was £3.95

We have sampled the food and hospitality at The Barn several times in the past, today, however, was the first Afternoon Tea we have tried there. From a warm welcome to our departure the service was excellent. Friendly and efficient. The afternoon tea was delicious, tasty sandwiches and rolls, lovely fresh warm, scones, very yummy brownies, cupcakes and banana cake, all helped down with a refreshing cup of Barn Brew Tea. Thank you.

Have been to this amazing pub when on holiday so many times, my favourite pub in the UK. Just finishing my craft cider after a lovely home made pasty, and sitting on the stone seats outside with husband and dogs. Bliss.
