We ordered calamari, steak & a burger plus deserts. All were really lovely! The calamari was cooked to perfection, the steak was amazing and super juicy & tender, burger was delicious (but could have been more saucy) The lady who served us was very warm, welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning!

Cannot unfortunately recommend this place. Both the burrito and fajitas were bland and tasted of not fresh chicken. We couldn't finish either of our meals and on top of that the sour cream and avocado were in a paste/smooth texture suggesting that this is out of a box and definitely not freshly made. Atmosphere was dead for a Saturday evening and waitress not very attentive - had to get up and ask for bill.

I’ve been here several times and have ordered either the steak or the ribs and have to say, the place has deteriorated. Food is badly cooked and clearly frozen and staff are quite hostile.

Great little restaurant in Wallington, food was delicious, service was good. Atmosphere was very quiet but I had great company so it didn't worry us too much. Definitely worth a visit. We will be back!

The food was so delicious that we ordered it again the following week! The lady is so lovely that works/manages the restaurant. I could honestly eat this every day, very reasonably priced and so fresh.

Please never go.. Was one of the worst meals I have ever eaten.. Pricey, horrible and service terribly, with weird people hanging in the place who seemed to be the owners friends. I have no words... POOR TO SAY THE VERY LEAST

We went back to the Cactus Grill after a previous visit a few years back to give it another try. We visited on a Friday evening with our two young children and were the only ones in there until we left. I would rate the food 3 out of 10. Reasonably well presented but our Enchiladas and Tacos were both served luke-warm. The children's menu pasta was very bland. I feel like they could be a lot more adventurous with their menu. The drinks were served without ice and pricey at nearly £4 for a glass of lemonade. Thankfully we were on a deal or I would have felt robbed at the normal price. The compulsory service charge was a bit of a surprise for a table of 4. We like to tip but it is nice to have that choice. The lady who served us was polite but inattentive considering we were the only ones dining. It was frustrating sitting around waiting to get the bill. Honestly, I am not sure how they survive. Sadly, we have no desire to return.

Food here was surprisingly good! We used a groupon voucher so received quite a good price per person, with the extra drinks we ordered not being included in this. I would highly recommend this as the steak was tender, fries crispy and salad fresh. No clue why the recent reviews on this place are the way they are. (Please keep in mind there’s a £5 service charge on the bill!) Service was in order too, with our waiter being very interactive and checking in occasionally to make sure everything was okay. Bottoms up to her :)

Staff were extremely unwelcoming making the experience very uncomfortable. Very poor service and staff were not attentive at all and we felt judged asking for anything including water the entire time we were there. The food was ok. Would not recommend.

☢️ WARNING ☢️ Avoid this restaurant! The food is disgusting, I threw it out for the foxes and wouldn't have been surprised if they didn't eat it. The chicken fajitas were shredded chicken which was like rubber and the tortillas had been over done in the microwave and were hard and dry 👎 The lady that served me for my takeaway collection was polite and friendly, just a shame they can't get chiefs to match front of house

The ribeye stake was awful. The worst i ever had. We could not eat it NOT edible. No napkins just tissues. Restaurant empty only customers. DON'T go there....

Nice little place. Enjoyed lunch with a friend and whilst there a couple of local regulars popped in. All were warmly greeted by Laura. Food portions were good and surrounding clean and warm. Would recommend and visit again.

With regret I have to say what a disappointing night we had here last night. 14 of us in total all felt the same. The food was very bland, nothing cooked from fresh, seems like it was purchased frozen 'locally' and had no taste. Drinks ....flat tonic water, flat soda water, prosecco was lidl's priced around £6 but they charged £24.90 for it, cokes £2.90 from a can! Yes they did provide 'live' music, but surely they need to provide better quality of food to be able to get bums on seats because honestly none of our party of 14 would ever return. We went to pay the bill and although happy to pay for all the drinks and food my manager politely asked her how they could justify charging £24.90 for prosecco that was from Lidl, she said because they had to pay £500 for the entertainment and if you don't like it then go to Wetherspoons I said oh we will do, yes she replied you look like a Wetherspoons sort of person.....how rude for a manager of an establishment she needs to speak to customers better than that, we asked her to take off the £49 she was charging for service charge as she definitely did not deserve it, she wanted to know what the problem was?? We told her the food etc and she actually said one of our guests was rude because she was seen 'smelling' her food, yes she did smell her food and made the decision not to eat it as the smell was not pleasant, so didn't draw attention to it as it was already starting to go down hill. We thought we would be supporting a small local business ....but would not promote them at all.

A really good tex mex restaurant in Wallington. They do £5 lunch which is great value. For my meal I had an Enchilada with some nachos and pineapple juice. All of this inclusive in the lunch deal. The food preparations are good. Definitely recommend giving it a try specially during lunch hours.

Thought drinks were very dear 3 ciders £19 50 rip off

We went last night, service was great. On a groupon deal good value for money. It was quiet but was 6.30pm on a Friday evening, wouldn’t expect anything less in Wallington at that time. Looking forward to going back for the Mexican soon

Assume its a family run place as the staff seemed to be constantly sat down on a table to the back of the restaurant chatting away, meaning it was very hard to get the attention of the staff, I had to get up 3 times to seek the waitress and ask her for things such as napkins and more beverages. I believe everything served to me had been microwaved. The ribs I had for starter were both hot and cold and the taco shells for main where soggy and the meat tasted off. The only thing that was cooked from fresh was the churros for dessert, believe it or not this item actually took the longest to come out of the kitchen. The service charge was already calculated into the bill which I don't think was deserved but I did stupidly pay the full £84 bill for me and my partner to get food poisoning.

Very small but friendly environment. Only 1 waitress but thankfully it wasn't too busy and she was very friendly. We got a Group On deal so was good value for money. Food was OK, I wouldn't rush back. Deserts were disappointing

Got a Groupon deal so basically 2 for 1. House wine was a £3 sainos special but that is ok. Great waitress. But the rib eye. Chewy, tasteless clearly been frozen. Salad was so dry it it wasn't funny. The sauce.....from a packet 100% and not even mixed so you could see it was set. My girlfriend is now eating again as she couldn't stomach any of it.

I was a bit surprised to be honest but I have to say the food was pretty good.

Absolutely loved the place. Both the exterior and interior are very trendy and welcoming. Loved the lighting, the deco and the seating arrangements. The hanging curtains made of bottle corks is a novel idea. The service was really prompt and very good. The waiter arrived with a big smile, explained the dishes well and served everything in time. The dishes are very very well made on authentic Mexican menu and original ingredients. Portion sizes and generous too and the place isn't too pricey. I would recommend the place for a good night out with family and friends.

Delicious, friendly, great value

Nice service, food hit and miss. All mains tasted pretty much the same and lacked flavour (apart from a lot of salt). (All vegetarian food I should say). Big portion sizes nonetheless. Dessert was good, churros were tasty.

Love this little restaurant. Love the decor, the waitress is lovely and the food is slightly limited but what they do is very tasty. I highly recommend the steak, the Churros are freshly made and cooked and are the best I have ever tasted. They also serve a wonderful Prosecco. I will definitely be going back.

Our first visit was just ok so we thought we would give them a second chance trying to support local business's. We were a party of four and visited for my husbands birthday. The waitress could not care less she was not friendly quite rude when we asked for ice in our coke and when we requested more vinegar for our chips as there was only one sachet. She didnt even acknowledge my request just walked off then came back and threw the sachets down on the table. Not even given a plate for the fajitas or a utensil for the salsa. The food was basic which you can sometimes over look if the service and atmosphere is good. Very cold service ....we definitely will not go back.

Found this place on groupon so thought to give it a go On a Wednesday evening there was no one in there other than us.The woman serving us was very polite & warming.The starter wings were okay but not the best.The chicken enchiladas were nice however and I would recommend them.Personally probably would go again but overall okay

Visited the restaurant on a Saturday night and the restaurant was completely empty. We ordered drinks and starters (calamari and buffalo chicken wings) both were disgusting. The calamari was mushy inside and were clearly just cheap frozen ones. The wings were awful, luke warm and had been drenched in an awful bbq sauce. We paid and left before ordering mains as the starters put us off and went to a lovely Indian restaurant instead as we were still hungry. We read the reviews on trip advisor whilst in the restaurant and wished we had read them beforehand and hadn’t of bothered going!

We had a surprise 18th for my daughter here. Laura catered for all our needs for the evening and we was well updated on everything before hand. The evening was a complete success, the staff were wonderful as was the entertainment, and everyone had an amazing time and the food was excellent. Thankyou we will definitely be back, and couldn't recommend this place enough

Ok let me clarify I had a 2 meals for the price of 1 offer for this place. If you can get a similar offer then it offers passable value. Under no circumstance would I entertain going here to pay full price.

Visited on a quiet Monday night. The waitress was lovely, and the place itself is nice enough, but the food........I think the only fresh items we received were the salad items. Certainly, the calamari and burgers weren't fresh, the burger was wafer thin, and as for the tortillas, oh my goodness, it was as if the meat came out of a tin. Rather than strips of succulent beef, we were presented with a mush of shredded soggy meat.Given that there's not a lot of choices on a Monday night in Wallington, stay home!

Service is very good. They help me find the right foods to eat given my restricted diet. I found my food quite good as did my companions who didn't have restrictions. Value for money is excellent.

I went with my friends and we had a great time with delicious food. I highly recommend the whole rack of ribs and the ckn enchiladas. Nice service and good atmosphere. They do great shows with Elvis Presley. I definitly will comeback.

Had a Christmas meal with friends, first time here and what a hidden gem, Great price, tasty food, lovely staff, fab atmosphere and Elvis was brilliant. We will be returning to support this family restaurant

My friends and I ordered a takeaway from here and I was really disappointed. The food arrived stone cold (including chicken nuggets and chips that were for my son). The food had no flavour or spice. It didn’t taste Mexican at all. I wouldn’t call this Mexican food. The plus point was the lady who answered the phone was helpful.

Lunchtime deal at £5 with a drink should be good value. But the food that is served is unloved and really not very nice. The enchilladas we had were just under-cooked wraps with some chicken tomato mush in them and some tomato sauce and cheese on a bit of the top. No real spices or flavours. No fresh herbs. The guacamole was obviously from some jar and was grey and unappealing - no flavour at all. It's such a shame as with a decent chef they could fill the place.

Decor is pleasant but the flashing ceiling Christmas lights were annoying. The radiator by our table needs a good clean. It’s covered in old splashed food.

First time here, we had a voucher. The food was nice, steaks cooked exactly how we ordered them. The waitress was lovely and attentive. The churros are nice and the drinks were not overpriced. We will visit again.

The wife's burger was bland needed the cheese and sauces. My ribs portion was big but needed the BBQ sauce to make the meal eatable. House red wine was low quality for a cost of £15.

Four of us had the rib eye steak deal. All four steaks were cooked perfectly and were delicious. Wine is very reasonably priced so a generally good evening.

Food is okay service nice. Nothing special but music nights are good and with a good atmosphere go on one of the music nights

Visited Cactus Grill with my family..we had the Ribeye Steaks and was cooked to how we all liked it ..came with onion tomatoe and mushroom separate side salad and chips was very tasty and we all said how good it was ...Desserts were cheesecakes also very nice .our waitress was lovely all staff were..nothing too much trouble will definitely be visiting again ...Thank you

I was dubious given the previous reviews,but this place is lovely our waitress was very friendly and the steak was cooked exactly as we wanted our starters were great as well definitely worth a visit four stars given because I couldn’t quite get over being in Wallington high street We will definitely be back

Nice food and was good value for money, six of us ate and all six plates were cleared but all had good sized portions. would have been nicer if they sold draught beer not just bottled. We will eat here again!

Food isn't great but good value - at the price for the set lunch (fiver for meal and drink) you can't complain. Would recommend for a quick working lunch but probably not an evening out

Can't complain to be honest, the food was good the service was good can't comment on the prices as came on a voucher but just not somewhere id go or remember, but this is the first place I've known to do steak as rare as I like it

Me and my partner had a Groupon voucher for this restaurant. A supposedly Porterhouse steak for two for £15. it was as thin as a minute steak, no flavour at all, it looked like it had been originally frozen for ages. it was absolutely disgusting, I did complain but nothing was done. I couldn't eat it all. obviously didn't leave a tip.

For a Friday evening it was very quiet but food was good and plenty for the steak dinner. Staff seem very nice.

Me and the wife had a voucher for a steak meal so we came along with our two daughters for a Saturday night meal out. The steak was nicely cooked and the chips were surprisingly well cooked. My eldest's chicken burger was cooked nicely too. Deserts were limited but we were happy with what we got, I got the New York cheesecake with strawberry sauce but I'm sure it was raspberry. We will be recommending this place to our friends.

A visit between 12:00-2:30 pm on a mid-week is great value for lunch - you get a main and a drink for £5.00. Eaten there several times. The burritos are great.

It's the second time I've ate here and after the first time I don't know why I bothered again. Food is clearly microwaved. I would rather eat at McDonalds than here.

Go here usually once a week for past couple of years. The lunchtime menu is only £5.00 for a meal and cappachino, great value. All my family like the food, and there is a good choice.Service is usually very prompt, and the lunchtime menu is great value, after all you can pay £3.50 just for a coffee across the road. Would recommend.We also go in the evenings when they have entertainment, and again at a fixed price per head is good value for money.

What a great little restaurant , run by friendly people , we had ribeye steak all of us and it was really tasty , I always have ribeye when I have steak anywhere and this was really up there , the prices and really reasonable too will come again as they have live music on certain nights I've just see

My husband and i were looking for a restaurant to eat and ended up at this place ., I was very disappointed with the food., when we asked for a recommendation the waitress suggested the burritos saying it was their best., when served : tortilla was burned ., chicken was actually ok but I had the impression that they prepared everything from those boxes tex mex at the supermarket ., guacamole ,salsa and cream's flavour was exactly at those package from Asda., which I don't mind but if you go to a restaurant you expect a little bit of effort on the food they prepare .I would definitely not recommend this restaurant at all I ended up with stomachache that day

I had a really nice evening there with my girlfriend, the lighting of the place is just perfect, music at a good volume, friendly staff, seems like a family, but the most surprising thing is when i got the food, i got whole rack of ribs which i thought was massive (and I eat a lot) she got a chicken fajita and it was really good as well, everything for a good and reasonable price. highly recommended :)

It's such a horrible place. My friend had two bites of his burger and he spat it all out. The beef was uncooked and smelled off. My calamari was of the frozen type and the chips was not made from fresh potatoes. One last thing, they don't issue receipts.

Popped in on the off chance. Decor wasn't bad! Service was friendly, but the waiters english was poor. So much so when asked for our sides to be swapped from normal fries to curly fries. It only happened for on person. Also way too much salad. Food was ok!

It was a very cold day and the place was cold,we had to keep our coats on ,There was no atmosphere , we ordered the food a rib eye steak, when the food arrived , the rib eye steak was full of fat , it was served on a wooden board and didn't look very appetising,although the chips were good,once we had finished the main meal it was ages before the waitress came to 'clear 'although I had left my food she didn't ask why , Then we were left for ages before , we eventually managed to get the waitress attention to order coffee.And it wasn't busy , Didn't enjoy anything about the experience ,wont be returning

I bought a groupon deal and came to this place and was very surprised. I came with my family and had the steak chips and salad. the food was very nice the decor was very suiting its a very nice little establishment. Staff were friendly too.

We've been here three times now and enjoy the decor and food. Starters could be bigger but the main courses are large and extremely filling. I love the enchiladas and my partner likes the steak, took the kids one night and they enjoyed the food as well. You get your meals in good time and the staff are friendly and attentive and the meals are reasonably priced, all on all Cactus Grill isn't a bad place to go if you're in Wallington n fancy a change.

I went there as part of a Hen Group, and I will not be going back again.The food was dreadful and totally over priced. Everyone who had the steak had to have a refund as none of the girls could eat it because it was like cardboard.My starter might as well of come of a supermarket shelf. My Chicken for main was OK, but definitely not outstanding, just about edible and as for my desert of Chocolate cake, I think that it must of been sitting on a shelf for over a year, it was stale.The drinks were totally over priced and the service was not good.On the plus side, Robbie Williams was excellent and he was definitely worth going to see.I would not recommend this restaurant if you want a well cooked reasonably priced meal. But is is OK if you just go for the entertainment.

We'd walked past this place a few times in our local high street and tonight decided to give it a go.Now we wish we hadn't.From the time we were sat at our table we had to wait around 15 mins before being asked what we'd like to drink. When our cokes came they were warm and without any ice!The burgers we ordered were OK as were the chips and it came with a small rain forests worth of salad. Service was terrible though, we had to wait ages to ask for and then get our bill. At first we thought the waitress was on her own and felt sorry for her, until we noticed 3 other people who emerged from the kitchen for a good old natter while the customers were ignored. Surely one of them could have assisted in waiting tables?We left very disappointed and won't be returning.
