Popped in today for a takeaway after they re-opened and blown away by the renovation inside, it look fabulous. The crepes and waffles are delicious and paired with in my opinion the best coffee in Aberystwyth! .

Walked in restaurant was half full so showed to a table by very helpful young lady, we decided on what was wanted and as the menu said went to the bar to order coffee, cup of tea and 2 crepes. Waited an acceptable time drinks were served followed by a short time later our crepes which were very nice, yes we’ve had nicer but also paid twice as much in Covent Garden.. both crepes were very nice well made and presented.. overall a lovely afternoon snack and drinks Thank you.

Was SO looking forward to this visit for crepes. Staff very unfriendly from the start. Was made to feel a nuisance to ask for a menu, after waiting a very long time, the waitress gave our order to somebody else, Waited ages again for order to be repeated, NO apology, really bad attitude. No wonder you have to pay before you get food ! Crepes ok but a bit cold. Don’t visit the toilet !! Do yourself a favour.. steer clear till they get their act together !! VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Have to say that the service when we visited (Wed 17/4/19) was much better than some of the reviews. The food was good, although the prices were on the steep side for what you got (we went for toasted paninis). I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again, but they were an OK place to pop into.

We were hungry and didn't want to spend ages finding somewhere to eat. Ordered hummus and red pepper sandwich on brown. Server had to check that they did it (it's on the menu). Bread was stale and no garnish or crisps to accompany it. Hubby had Cawl which was watery. Had a bottle of ginger beer and elderflower water. Food arrived quick enough. As we were eating the male server was talking to the female server about a flatmate and his bathroom habits. Not what we wanted to hear whilst eating. Glad we didn't order any cakes or coffee as £4.50 for a lonely sandwich and £7.50 for Cawl, both of which were below average, is a disgrace.

Went here on Sunday and ordered the ham and cheese panini. Got half way though it and it tasted a bit fishy. Checked the side of my second half to see tuna stuck down the side of it...I went and gave it to the waitress and explained. She said she would sort it. She returned to my table and said they can make me half a baguette but they had no paninis left. I said I didn't want a baguette and she quickly left. She then returned to say I could have a toastie but could only have white bread as they had no brown.By now I was getting quite annoyed and asked for the money back for my panini. I was happy to pay for my partners food and our drinks - just not the panini. However, I was informed I could not have my money back as they had offered me something else.even if it wasn't anything I wanted. The staff were rude and this was dealt with terribly. I'm not sure what standards they prepare food in but its a good job I don't have any allergies or requirements as it seems they're not bothered about mixing food.

£3.20 for a special hot chocolate but there was nothing special about it it was warm the cream was a mess which she apologised for and I had 5 marshmallows (small ones) my friend asked for more butter and she huffed this is the reason I’m writing this nothing worse then grumpy staff and rude guessing spent to much over Christmas tho as cabin is one of my favourites it’s been here donkeys of years. I’m giving it a 3 star but that’s on the basis of my previous visits

Visited here recently for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The menu was a good selection of standard cafe lunch time foods consisting of paninis/soup/jacket potatoes as well as a variety of hot and cold drinks. Some members of our group had gluten-free and vegan dietary requirements and found it very easy to find something to eat here due to the good variety of toppings. The quality of food was good, I had a jacket potato which came out piping hot, others had panini's - all of which were served with a side salad. A great place to come for a quick and healthy lunch after a walk on the promenade.

The food wasn't bad, however the lady serving me did the cheeky 'do you want this' then charged me for it. I asked for a brie baguette, which she said she couldn't melt the brie unless it was a panini. So I said I'd have the panini. Salad was free with the baguette, so I assumed it would be free for the panini... no, I was charged £2 for salad that tasted like feet. I didn't realise until after that I was charged.

We stopped here for a quick bite on a visit into town. The place has a vintage charm with lots of Hollywood memorabilia and is a great place to people watch. The menu is usual cafe fayre and my cheese toastie was lovely. The place does lack friendly staff though, the two young girls who were working were more interested in their own conversations and chatting than speaking to their customers. I feel the cabin would benefit from more mature staff.

.There are several places at Aberystwyth for eating out. But this small place has a beauty. One can have Coffe or tea or some snax and relax for sometime in this small and compact but cosy restaurant just few minutes walk from the Coast. If you are tired of walking in the beach and not in a mood to sit in a larger restaurant for drink and dinner or lunch this may be an option. just a few steps away from the Pier . Coffe is really good; but you have to collect from the counter.

Good to see some things don't change in Aber. The Cabin was a bit of a dump in the 1980s when I was a student, and it hasn't changed much in 30 years. Coffee ok, didn't eat anything, but then nothing looked appetising back then either. There was no point trying to conjure up 'nostalgia' on this one - a tatty dump is a tatty dump, whether it's 1982 or 2014. You have been warned.
