Popped in here on a Saturday afternoon about 3.30pm, it wasn't very busy and me and my partner were looking for a hot drink and small bite to eat. We were welcomed by a lovely lady who told us to take a seat and that menus were on the table. We chose what we wanted then went to order. After I ordered, the lady serving said they didn't have any of the items we asked for and they only had two paninis left....Makes you wonder why they bothered to say "Menus on the table" instead of "Hello, this is all we have left." Also seemed strange the they ran out of all food items in the middle of a Saturday afternoon? Anyway, we said the two panini they had left were fine (ham, salami, cheese and chilli) and we had a latte and a tea with them. The drinks were fine, no complaints. The paninis were warm on the outside, yet cold in the middle - deffo could have done with another minute or two to heat up. A bit disappointing. The lady who brought our food over put the paninis on the table and said "You dont need cutlery" the walked away... haha, this gave us a chuckle. Two ham, salami, cheese and chilli paninis, a regular latte and a regular tea - £21.50

Me and my kids had lunch here, I had a cheese and ham toastie and a latte, the kids had ham sandwiches and milkshakes. Food was really nice, we had a nice friendly service. Cafe is in a good location just off the High Street and close to the sea front and it also has a nice relaxed vibe to it.

If you appreciate good coffee, this is not the cafe for you. Not only was our coffee weak, it was Luke warm. When I asked for a hotter coffee it was nuked. On top of that we were lectured on the heat coffee should be. I have travelled extensively, drinking coffee around the world. Some cafes understand how to make a decent cup, this place does not.

Personally, this is the best place in Aberystwyth for a coffee. The service is spot on, the atmosphere is relaxing and the coffee is superb! Of course being local too. Been coming here since I was a kid and would highly recommend!

Stopped for lunch with my Son, first thing I noticed people sat behind us chasing their food. My teenage Son went to order and within ten minutes my food arrived along with a cup of tea. Advised the Waitress we didn't order tea, she was very insistent we had however I explained neither of us drink tea but she became rather defensive still refusing to believe me. She asked "well do you want it", "no thanks I replied, we don't drink tea". "What do you want me to do then, give you your money back?", The Waitress asked. We continued waiting for my Son's food, I decided to go to the counter. The lady on the till asked the Waitress who brought our food over. "You didn't order a NYC Panini", the Waitress told me, "yes we did, I replied. Again she said No you didn't. I explained again to the lady on the till what food and drink we had received when the Waitress said, "if you ordered a NYC Pannini I must have thought you asked for tea!! The Waitress was extremely rude and sultry and made us feel uncomfortable. I won't be returning.

Was SO looking forward to this visit for crepes. Staff very unfriendly from the start. Was made to feel a nuisance to ask for a menu, after waiting a very long time, the waitress gave our order to somebody else, Waited ages again for order to be repeated, NO apology, really bad attitude. No wonder you have to pay before you get food ! Crepes ok but a bit cold. Don’t visit the toilet !! Do yourself a favour.. steer clear till they get their act together !! VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Have to say that the service when we visited (Wed 17/4/19) was much better than some of the reviews. The food was good, although the prices were on the steep side for what you got (we went for toasted paninis). I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again, but they were an OK place to pop into.

We were hungry and didn't want to spend ages finding somewhere to eat. Ordered hummus and red pepper sandwich on brown. Server had to check that they did it (it's on the menu). Bread was stale and no garnish or crisps to accompany it. Hubby had Cawl which was watery. Had a bottle of ginger beer and elderflower water. Food arrived quick enough. As we were eating the male server was talking to the female server about a flatmate and his bathroom habits. Not what we wanted to hear whilst eating. Glad we didn't order any cakes or coffee as £4.50 for a lonely sandwich and £7.50 for Cawl, both of which were below average, is a disgrace.

Went here on Sunday and ordered the ham and cheese panini. Got half way though it and it tasted a bit fishy. Checked the side of my second half to see tuna stuck down the side of it...I went and gave it to the waitress and explained. She said she would sort it. She returned to my table and said they can make me half a baguette but they had no paninis left. I said I didn't want a baguette and she quickly left. She then returned to say I could have a toastie but could only have white bread as they had no brown.By now I was getting quite annoyed and asked for the money back for my panini. I was happy to pay for my partners food and our drinks - just not the panini. However, I was informed I could not have my money back as they had offered me something else.even if it wasn't anything I wanted. The staff were rude and this was dealt with terribly. I'm not sure what standards they prepare food in but its a good job I don't have any allergies or requirements as it seems they're not bothered about mixing food.

Visited here recently for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The menu was a good selection of standard cafe lunch time foods consisting of paninis/soup/jacket potatoes as well as a variety of hot and cold drinks. Some members of our group had gluten-free and vegan dietary requirements and found it very easy to find something to eat here due to the good variety of toppings. The quality of food was good, I had a jacket potato which came out piping hot, others had panini's - all of which were served with a side salad. A great place to come for a quick and healthy lunch after a walk on the promenade.

The food wasn't bad, however the lady serving me did the cheeky 'do you want this' then charged me for it. I asked for a brie baguette, which she said she couldn't melt the brie unless it was a panini. So I said I'd have the panini. Salad was free with the baguette, so I assumed it would be free for the panini... no, I was charged £2 for salad that tasted like feet. I didn't realise until after that I was charged.

We stopped here for a quick bite on a visit into town. The place has a vintage charm with lots of Hollywood memorabilia and is a great place to people watch. The menu is usual cafe fayre and my cheese toastie was lovely. The place does lack friendly staff though, the two young girls who were working were more interested in their own conversations and chatting than speaking to their customers. .There are several places at Aberystwyth for eating out. But this small place has a beauty. One can have Coffe or tea or some snax and relax for sometime in this small and compact but cosy restaurant just few minutes walk from the Coast. If you are tired of walking in the beach and not in a mood to sit in a larger restaurant for drink and dinner or lunch this may be an option. just a few steps away from the Pier . Coffe is really good; but you have to collect from the counter.

Good to see some things don't change in Aber. The Cabin was a bit of a dump in the 1980s when I was a student, and it hasn't changed much in 30 years. Coffee ok, didn't eat anything, but then nothing looked appetising back then either. There was no point trying to conjure up 'nostalgia' on this one - a tatty dump is a tatty dump, whether it's 1982 or 2014. You have been warned.

I went to the hot counter and it all seems like all the meat is cooked at the same time. No matter what it is, whether it's in nuggets or a roast chicken and I loved it well. It said, chicken, an extra tasty chicken. The extra taste you might as well be extra dry. To be honest I think when they say extra tasty chicken. I think that's a con. I think you getting chicken chicken or chicken. And they just trying to advertise tasty chicken, maybe to charge more or something. Second thing is 1 day I go in there. It was £5 for a whole chicken the next day. Literally the next day, it was £6.50 .It's just when you walk in to morrison. It just looks dirty. No one cares. And the coffee don't ever buy the coffee inside. Morrisons, it's almost like you get dirty water. It's quite clearly the lowest kind of coffee they buy. They obviously don't want you to drink coffee. In this morrisons ,( go to the garage for the coffee) Forget the breakfast. I went for breakfast 3 days before. Wow. I don't know who's working behind there, but quite clearly. No one's in charge. They just slap it on a plate and hope for the best. For me it's like It's too busy for them in the café. This is why there's no standards and like I said. Hope for the best. One last thing the entrance to the car park of Morrisons looks like big craters. There's literally holes all over Morrison's car park, and you could easily wreck your car.

Came for lunch, I ordered a chilli jacket potato- the chilli was dry, no sauce, very small amount of chilli for the £7.40 I paid- I was very disappointed! I didn't feel comfortable complaining as I didn't want to cause a fuss; a lot of the servers seemed quite stressed and a little inexperienced. (No offence intended, they all seemed lovely) My friend ordered bacon cheese burger, she received the wrong order but the waitress was very apologetic and sorted it right away.
