Very nice place and you can see that attention to detail is very important as it is decorated in a delightful way. We arrived there without a reservation and they looked at us a little askance... I understand everything but it would never occur to me to book a place for breakfast the day before... Very fast service, almost too fast because I felt a little rushed as we actually went in and ate in 25 minutes which is actually also an advantage if you are in a hurry

Had an amazing breakfast at The Buttery! We ordered scrambled eggs, French toast, and a croissant, along with a flat white and cappuccino. Everything was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly and made the experience even better. Highly recommend for a great start to the day!

The Buttery is a charming restaurant located in a beautiful small hotel in London. We tried both breakfast and brunch, and the food was absolutely delicious. Overall it's good place to brunch

We really loved this place a a lot. The food was amazing the staff was really friendly and accommodating. We got to sit in the garden out back where it was quiet and just beautiful. Make sure you try the English breakfast here!

Fantasic staff, super accommodated. Only think I think could be nicer is a heat lamp in the garden for the colder days. Portions are great, though on the lil expensive side you do get big portions!

I get the "no devices after 12pm" rule, you don't want people taking up tables for too long. But if it's 12:11 and I'm waiting on you to bring my food, and over half of your tables are empty, it's dumb to tell a solo traveler that they can't read on their 11" iPad. Either bring my food faster or don't be so rigid in enforcing arbitrary rules. Otherwise, restaurant was cute and food was decent. Good music too.

Beautiful place near Victoria Station with an internal garden where there are several tables where you can eat. Truly delicious food. Prices quite high but repaid by the quality.

Had breakfast here one morning before heading out sightseeing. Had the most amazing shakshuka. It was absolutely delicious and the latte was also perfect. Only reasons not five stars - very crowded and tables jammed too close together - which for breakfast isn’t so bad. Also, shakshuka came with..one slice of toast - when considering it was a dipping breakfast - should have more. I asked for more another piece and servers couldn’t figure out how to bill it, what to call it and this turned into a big discussion amongst them (I kid you not). I never did get my second piece of toast! It was like being in a Monty Python episode… But aside from that the food was great and the dining area - including the garden - was beautiful.

The waitress is a super person. She didn't write anything down and got all the orders just as we asked. The food is tasty and well cooked. All dishes were served at the same time, and the plates were hot. Loved it. Good, proper service.

Cosy rustic restaurant tucked away in a boutique hotel with a garden at the back. Food was ok nothing special, my favorite dish was the french toast.

Visited The Buttery on a Monday morning. Delightful service from all waiters. Food was delicious and arrived quickly. The pancakes were absolutely delicious - I think the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend this lovely little cafe!🇦🇺

Absolutely amazing place to have brunch. We sat outside in the most wonderful garden with beautiful rustic touches and relaxed atmosphere. The food was superb and we couldn't have asked for a better service. We will definitely return. Highly recommend a visit.

The guy who is responsible for the seating is very rude, and it is not the first time. Food and vibes are great, but ruined unfortunately by his behavior.

Unfortunately, the host did not create a welcoming atmosphere. I don't believe I would return.

As an American tourist visiting for just a couple of days, my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit for brunch. The food was excellent, the garden scenery was welcoming, and the service from the wait staff was very helpful and kind. If you are out and about walking through London, and you stumble upon this gem, you are in luck. I'm sure the locals know this place well. Highly recommend.

What a shame. This used to have a quaint, quiet English country feel, and was our favourite spot in Belgravia. Not now, sadly. The new management appears to have changed the vibe. Awful music has changed the feel, and it appears to be catering to a new clientele. Food, however, is very nice, and it's a truly wonderful staff. Five stars to staff, food, but 0 for atmosphere.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying brunch which is very tasty and service was friendly and attentive .

Wonderful brunch and beautiful inside + garden patio. Especially for North Americans used to certain types of pancakes, definitely do not go for their pancakes as the other reviewers are correct, they are a pretty dense compared to what’d you be used to (I’m sure the French toast would’ve been better). Otherwise the breakfasts were great and the potatoes were the best I have ever had, period.

Nice spot for breakfast or brunch, particularly if you can get a table in the garden. We have breakfast here several times over the course of our stay at a nearby hotel. I recommend the granola/yougurt bowl with fruit or the eggs Benedict. My husband enjoyed the French Toast. Cappuccino and cafe latte were perfect as well. A bit on the expensive side but given the neighborhood, to be expected. Service was consistently very good

Great spot for some brunch, we all thought the food tasted delicious and the restaurant has a lovely cozy, but upmarket vibe. Staff were attentive and friendly. The portions are a little on the smaller and expensive side and the menu isn't huge. Not a bad thing, just worth noting.

One of the better eggs Benedict I’ve had. The egg yolk was bright orange and the break was just right. Really enjoyed this place. The service could be quicker but that’s about it. Great experience and worth the visit.

This resteraunt is located in a hotel. It opens at 7:30 am M-F and 8:00 am Sat - Sun. The food is excellent! They offer cold pressed juices, full breakfast menu and lunch. Our servers David and Reqeem were very attentive and pleasant. Highly recommend this place if you are nearby.

Really excellent, ask for the small garden at the back of the building for lunch, the setting is great, the waiters are very good and the food is not so bad for England, the typical local breakfast is strong for fans. Go there with your eyes closed.

Overpriced restaurant,but Eggs Royal is just fine, and the coffee was extremely hot . I needed to wait for 10 minutes to drink it. The host is quite mean,no smile from him,but all the staff is so sweet. We were served by a wonderful lady, I don't remember her name , but she was so lovely!

We visited The Buttery for breakfast twice on our stay in London. We first sat outside in the garden our first time while the weather was good, I highly recommend dining out there if possible. Cappuccinos were excellent. In addition, the food was spectacular.

Cozy place to have Brunch. Variety of dishes and the decoration of the place is beautiful. Attentive service and they have a garden inside, terrace style. We liked a lot. They have both sweet and savory.

The staff are incredible. Attentive and respectful also very kind. The food was amazing perfectly seasoned. The salt and sugar level ride the line in such an eloquent way that has you going back bite after bite. The bar tender knew his wine! I also had the baked Alaska and it was very very good. Portions just right and prices on point. Unique yet classic and AMAZING highly recommend.

Came here for breakfast 18/05/24. Staff seemed disorganised and we were made to feel like an inconvenience by the woman who greeted us at the door. After we were seated, it took a while to be served and then over an hour for the food to be brought to the table. The food was good but the service was poor considering the cost of the food and the service charge already added to the bill. Really expected the service to be much better.

We had the eggs Benedict and butter croissant. The English muffins the eggs were served on was quite hard making it hard to cut and chew but everything else was fine. The croissant was good but wished it could have been heated up. Service was amazing, lovely servers and very friendly! Had some miscommunication but it was promptly resolved with no fuss, thank you again !! :D

My wife and I visited The Buttery on a Sunday morning during a weekend stay in London and we absolutely loved it. It ranks as one of the best breakfasts we have had in London. It was a warm sunny morning, we sat inside and It was quiet and relaxed. We had booked a table in advance and we had a nice view of people walking by. The staff were attentive and we will definitely be coming back hoping for the same lovely chilled (hopefully sunny) breakfast experience.

Extremely slow and poor service

The hands down best breakfast I had in London. The staff was super friendly. Had a whole conversation with them. We had friends showing up late and they accommodated us so very well! This was the one breakfast I really loved and stood out in our 2.5 week trip.

We have had breakfast here two days. Definitely recommend sitting out in the back garden. Good dishes, lovely coffee and a good atmosphere. In addition, the price is quite reasonable.

À ce jour, nous sommes convaincus qu’il s’agit du meilleur restaurant que nous ayons pu faire. Tout y est : l’ambiance cosy et chaleureuse, le personnel agréable, bienveillant et souriant, le lieu atypique et magnifique et… évidemment… les plats : absolument divins. Nous pourrions y retourner sans hésiter. Nous avons mangé the Buttery Breakfast, les pancakes et le cookie dough : délicieux !!! Sans parler du chocolat chaud qui donne l’impression de boire une mousse au chocolat ! Pensez à réserver à l’avance sur leur site pour avoir votre table !😊

AVOID… 🛑 Horrible experience…Excited to visit for a business breakfast. Was a few mins and they essentially accused me of trying to get in without a reservation, even though my guest was sitting there. The manager, Jorge was rude , acting like he was doing me a favour. Found my guest and table and spent five mins trying to get attention to place an order. Coffee was cold and food was mediocre and they tried to claim 10% service charge. Afterwards, manager wanted to get into a fight rather than apologise for the awful experience. Huge waste of money. Lots of other places without #racist folks in charge, good food and service to visit in Belgravia .

We went for breakfast during the week due to the lack of space elsewhere. There were free seats even though the staff asked about reservations, so I assume we were lucky. Prices are above average, but everything was delicious, large portions, and the atmosphere in the place is fantastic.

I had the worst experience at this place. After patiently waiting for almost an hour after placing my order, I was shocked to be informed by the staff that the kitchen hadn't received my order and I have to wait again which is completely disrespectful and unacceptable. The lack of communication and organization is appalling.

Delicious breakfast. Everything else could have been better, it’s hard to get in with so many signs and doors that are “not to be opened” the service is slow and you are told when asking for something’s like toothpicks you have “to go to the bar and get it” Also when booking for more than 4 people, we are 5, they told us they don’t serve more than 4, so be careful if you are more than 4.

Couldn't recommend this spot enough - Beautiful setting and location, the friendliest staff and the most delicious, fresh food. PS: Their gluten-free bread is some of the best I have EVER had.

We live close by and a friend had recommended the Buttery for brunch. I went today with my two children, one 6 and the other 1, asked if the garden was open but it wasn't so I asked to be seated inside and asked for a table. The waiter asked if I had a booking, I didn't so he said he is fully booked. While there was a couple behind us, the lady asked him, no walk in service? he asked her how many she said two and then he told her to wait !! Frustrated from the situation, I just walked out. A table for 2 would also be good for us as only me and my 6year old will sit while the baby needs a highchair. I have nothing else to say. Never again, we will stick to our other local restaurants that welcome children.

I am in two minds about this venue. It is in a great location in Belgravia and is visually very appealing. However, I fear that it is style over substance. Staff: The initial wait staff were very polite and friendly and attended to the table well. The gentleman who gave us our bill was abrupt. I understand that you have to turn the table around but I dislike being offered drinks/coffees and then being handed the bill 5 minutes later, it is underhand. Food: I went for the Eggs Benedict, a very simple dish. The eggs were cold, the sauce unremarkable but the bacon was lovely. Then again, it's bacon... Venue: Like I said above, cute venue if a little cramped. Overall: I would not rush back, the food was nothing special and there are so many amazing places to try in London.

Pretentious rude staff.. one of them was ready to lead me to a table the otter one took one look at me and said he was fully booked.. I stayed I’m in the area for two hours and he said you would be waiting for two hours when half the tables were empty Scumbag

Came for a solo breakfast date and was treated with such lovely hospitality! I enjoyed a nice little latte and avocado toast - I was delighted with the presentation! The interior is super cozy and inviting, but elegantly refined. Definitely recommend stopping in!
