Even the best and most original concepts for innovative customer experience, like this selfservice automated vinothèque, rely on proper execution. The glasses put at the disposal of customers were almost all of them incredibly dirty, not properly washed, or wet and warm with patches of some grey residue. Politely pointing this out to the staff, did not meet with enthusiasm. So we left after one glass of reasonably good if overpriced SB.

We had such a good time! Birthday drinks that were extra special and latifun was wonderful she was so helpful and so accommodating helping with our difficult customer requests… She deserves a raise!

So many choices. Sample sizes for £2 so you can try many options before going for a class.

Comparing to the other Vagabond's, this one is a little bit small. It was airless when visited on a cold winter evening. Maybe it could be good in the spring/summer, but you can look into others in cold weather.

They have a lot of easy-going wine but apparently not enough complex wine. The price range was pretty similar, and the wine list was average. Although the staff were very attentive.

Patatas Bravas were undercooked. Meatballs were overcooked. Croquetas were okay. You are required to order everything via app (you manage the wine pouring yourself too) but they charge a fee for or using the app. Even though there's no wait staff, they automatically bill a "service charge." The vibe and atmosphere were nice.

This bar is such a great idea for anyone wanting to taste and learn more about wine. The atmosphere is great too! It's a very tiny bar but very lively. We tasted some starters to share and it was overall a bit disappointing. I wish they enhanced this tasting experience, expanding the menu and suggesting pairings for each of the wines. It's a bit expensive but I guess that for central London this is okay. Love the concept. Will definitely be back. Just not for food 😅

The selection of wine is interesting and we loved being able to taste lots of wines as you can have a small portion and tap your card to pay. The food we ordered wasn’t good. Bland undercooked cauliflower, beef brisket in some sort of bbq sauce, over salted potatoes and meatballs. Probably better to either stick to bread and olives with your wine or eat somewhere else. It’s a great vibe and if we hadn’t eaten there we would have given 5 stars.

Excellent selection of wine, great ambience and outstanding customer service. I chose this spot as I’m new to the wine world and wanted to explore my options, and this is exactly what was delivered! If you’re looking to have a relaxing, cosy evening with great wine, then this is the place for you!

I have been to the branch in Victoria many times and it's fantastic. It mixes uber trendy, service and a great wine experience. However the manager here was so rude about us ordering, so unhelpful that it just all felt really sour. We needed help with the menu, she just didn't care and made us feel derogatory for asking questions. Fortunately though there was a young guy working there who was incredibly helpful and friendly and without him this would be a one star review. If he was running and managing the place it would be five stars, but this woman was so sour that I just don't want to go back. She was nice at the end of our meal but by that time it was too late. We just weren't feeling it and so only had one glass of wine each, then went to a local hotel bar nearby with real customer service and had a great time. To repeat, if the younger guy was the manager and doing the customer service we would have loved it and definitely return. The food was good though in very nicely done. I will return to their Victoria branch but probably not to this one.

Lovely concept and friendly atmosphere. It’s not too loud so you can chat with friends without shouting. The self serve aspect also makes it really easy to just grab what you want.

We popped into vagabond on a whim and were greeted by Alex's. We'd never been before but he was welcoming, informative and charming. The concept of vagabond is brilliant for any occasion and gives any wine lover a chance to get out of their comfort zone and try new wines without disappointing the table or wasting a bottle at a high mark up. We were the only ones there at midday but it still felt relaxing and inviting, will definitely be returning at the peak of our evening rather than the beginning!

Happened upon this gem whilst waiting for Monopoly on Tottenham Court Road. What a find! Every wine you could imagine with no commitment to buy a bottle. Sample everything and great choices on offer. Highly recommend the unusual Georgian wine and the house champagne! Delightful, reasonably priced tapas on offer for the perfect accompaniment to your deink choices. Atmosphere is vibing and decor on point. Love love love. Will be back for sure. This place is everything. You don't event have to wait for the bill because it is all paid up front. What’s not to love?

Hosted a team Christmas party for five at Vagabond. It was a great experience, the food was way above what I was expecting, and it kept coming. We went for the highest price Christmas Menu - I would highly recommend - it helped to mop up the lovely wine

First impression was the smell of fried food. It was really strong. We were impressed with the choice of wine but really quite pricey for a glass. So we opted for a bottle for which we had to ask three times for as the waiter kept forgetting, saying he was too busy. Busy? All the ordering is done via an Ap so all he had to do was deliver it, and it wasn’t even busy. For the food we opted for the small plates. We tried to order on the Ap but could only order 4 as the rest were unavailable. What we did have was pretty boring. And not very tasty. We went to the loo as we left and the smell in there was just dreadful. Give me waiter service anytime. At least you don’t have to give away a mass of information just to order a basket of bread.

The food here made my very sad. The sharing plates were cold and depressing. Eating them made me feel like I was locked outside in the rain without a coat. Except the arancini. Eating the arancini made me feel sick.

I like the concept of choosing my own drink in my own pace while reading the profile of each one. There are various options at different prices. We sat on a shared table. They offer tap water free of charge. Friendly staff.

Had some great wine and the staff were lovely . Only issue is whole place smelt really strongly of fried food. Too strong. Will go back if they sort that out!

Fabulous concept. Attentive service. You go there for the wine and the snacks are bonus, but good.

Nice atmosphere. We were there for a private event and they could have made it a bit more organized but the tapas food was good and the automated wine bar was a nice novelty.

Great selection of wines, and detailed descriptions of each. I thought it was a fun way to try new wines, including orange wine! I would recommend the Vagabond rosé

Very cool concept I haven’t seen before. Do it all yourself and pour your own wine. Huge selection. Bet this is a fun place to unwind after work. They have food as well. We only had a glass of wine and moved on to dinner down the street. Great place to start before a dinner.

Great selection of wines (obviously) but the only thing that gets a bit frustrating is the bottles are not always replenished quickly enough. Their vegan cheese board is a must - honestly give it a try!

Really enjoyed popping in here for a glass of wine with a friend from out of town. Can recommend the Spienkop Pinotage, if you are looking for something with a bit of tannin and to have with food. Alexis, who greeted and helped us when we arrived, was very friendly. Could you guys consider a great Napa Valley Cab Sav for the future?

Cozy afternoon, the fries with truffle oil are a must. Service on point, keep it up!

Cool and lively experience. Bring a contactless card and pay by the glass (or taster) of wine! Staff knowledgeable about the wines and helped me try to find a specific one. Has red, wine and rose in the optics. The food was nice - ordered pizza and some nibbly bits. As it's busy, table bookings are strict (our party arrived late due to transport issues!) As with all of these areas in London, it's not cheap.

Amazing place and the staff are so friendly and approachable. Big shout out to Andrew for being so helpful and introducing me to a new amazing wine!!

Remember it to be better.. The quality of food just blah.. basic non exciting cheeses, sour dough was stale (you could just toast it and would make a difference) ham chevy/thick probably a cooking grade. Salami's were good. Friendly staff and wine reasonably priced.

A busy place for a variety of wines. I don't think any of them were particularly spectacular, but it was a fun experience to have wine from an automated box. I'd say the experience is what you go for. The food is good, but again nothing spectacular. This place is the perfect spot to meet up with friends, have a nice glass (or many) of wine, try different wines you may not have heard of, and/or to have a quick drink before dinner.

I only popped into this place as I was 30 minutes early for a meeting. I had such a lovely experience. A lovely glass of wine at a nice price with brilliant service and lovely music in the background. Did I mention it was lovely?

Great wine bar, we booked beforehand to ensure we would be able to get in on a Friday evening. Really relaxed vibe and we had great fun with the wine dispensers, loved the idea of being able to get 50ml small wines so that we could taste several different wines. The wine selection was amazing. Loved it.

The wine here was fantastic.and I was happy to find a place that had such an interesting selection. As I was waiting for the toilet I was watching the chef for about 3 minutes, I watched as he ate the food he was placing and wiped his nose and continued with unwashed hands. Such a shame the wine was so good

I had a connecting flight that left me waiting at London Heathrow airport for 5 hours before my flight to Dubai and both Makving and Eusebo took great care of me with great, fast and fresh service. They were pleasant and allowed me to hang out until my flight departed!

Popped in for a few drinks and were happy enough until they opened the front door, it’s freezing cold in February but according to the staff it’s required for ventilation! I did ask them to close it as we had just purchased more drinks, but that was their response. They didn’t seem to understand or care that it was now too cold and uncomfortable to enjoy the drinks that we had just bought . So rather than stay longer for food we left, won’t be back until perhaps we have a heatwave.

Had read so much about this place- we walked for almost 1km and fortunately walked right in. In terms of wine selection- have to hand it to them- very expansive. A prime example of technology being put to use for customer experience, efficiency and profit (all good). In my mind that was the only good thing about the place- the large selection. Where it falls short 1. Too impersonal and no conversation. You are asked if this is your first time (which it was) and then explained how it works. That is the last time someone speaks to you. I would prefer to have conversation with the resident sommelier in the recommendations, history, grape etc. 2. None of the wines were excellent. I tried 8. Then I gave up. Maybe a reflection of my ability to choose wine but I don’t think I am that bad. 3. Food was really bad. Had a flat bread- Brie/walnuts and the Turkish starter. Both were tasteless- no flavor. And there was no one to tell to because everyone was busy in their own rhythm not sure doing what. Will I go back- never. Visited Dec 2022

My friend and I have regularly visited Vagabond but sadly a few weeks ago (12th January) we received the worst service I think I’ve ever experienced in any public house or restaurant. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a very disinterested staff member. Despite having a reservation, he made us wait 10 minutes then came back and looked at us like he’d never seen us before. We repeated we had a reservation and he looked for an empty table then waved his hands towards one. When he later was very rude to us I complained to the supervisor, Taoufik, who told me with a smile on his face and without listening that it was a ‘misunderstanding’. When I explained it wasn’t, he responded with ‘everyone is human.’ When I explained once again that that wasn’t the issue but his extreme rudeness was, he simply repeated that everyone is human. The service continued to be bad and fortunately Taoufik noticed this time, but we still got a raised eyebrows and then he came over and offered us a complimentary bottle of still water. Which we had to laugh at. We weren’t looking for anything free, an apology and understanding of the issues would have been much more appreciated than a free bottle of still water when we were very happy drinking our free tap water! Whilst I love the set up of vagabond and their wines and menu is great, this complete disinterest and refusal to listen really ruined the evening for my friend and I, particularly as the bad service stretched the whole span of the 3 hours we were there.

What a way to spend a mid week evening! Fun atmosphere. Great wine choices and really interesting getting to try lots. The food surprised me - so good! The staff are informed and helpful and really friendly. Our waiter Courtney was superb. Highly recommend this place. We will be back. Ps. If you find a wine you like you can buy a bottle heavily discounted. Mine was an excellent white at £16.50. Thanks all for a fun birthday celebration. X

Genial bar de vinos. El concepto es genial: hay un montón de vinos expuestos y conectados a un tirador cada uno. Estan dentro de una vintrina algo refrigerada y con una explicación encima. Eliges el que más te guste, pagas en el datáfono conectado y lo pruebas. La verdad es que nos encantó, pues hay vinos de todo el mundo y puedes probar el que quieras.

One of my favorite wine bars in London! I always have a great experience here, but most recently Nikesh was so lovely for accommodating us on such short notice. Will definitely be back!

Wine bar with cozy fabulous vibes.

Very busy serve yourself wine bar with a cool, lively vibe. Selection is large and frankly, choosing and pouring your wine like that is fun! Seemed like an after work crown so it was kinda chaotic and not a ton of space to claim but good for a meeting spot for a glass before your next pub. Non-alcoholic options too!

What a fun spot. Jamming on a Friday night. A great selection of wines. Great place to post up pre dinner for a vino. Great location too on Charlotte street. Would love to see more orange skin contact wines for an option. Everyone was super nice

Had a great time at Vagabond on the weekend before Christmas - the wine vending machines are a great idea that not only cut down on bar waiting time but also allows you to easily read about and choose wine to your taste. They offer in three sizes, the first being more of a taster and range from affordable to very expensive. We didn't try the food so can't comment on that but it had a nice chilled atmosphere and Charlotte Street felt very Christmassy. My only complaint would be that the staff didn't provide any explanation upon us entering which meant we weren't entirely sure how it all worked to begin with (it is simple once you know though).

A fab early evening drink with my daughter. Loved the concept. A special thank you to Nikesh, his knowledge of the wines and his general helpfulness was outstanding. I look forward to visiting again.

Greta wine bar, with a wide selection and very cozy environment conveniently located in Fitzrovia. Definitely recommend it!

We didn’t enjoy the wines and service was slow

Cool place and love the selections. You can buy 25ml samples to see what you like before getting a whole glass. 1 star off because the prices are noticeably higher than other bars/restaurants for the same quality wine.

This is a great idea and a talking point. A good chance to try different wine - from cheapish too very expensive. However, the tasters are also expensive for the mouthful you get. There seems to be a premium on the cost by the glass. You just need to accept this. You could spend a lot without realising if you were there for more than an hour or two.

Met up with two friends here tonight. We booked a table in advance and got a lovely little spot by the window. The waiters were all friendly and helpful. The concept is that they have many wines which you can have by the glass. A taster (25 mls) is 1-2 pounds depending on the bottle. My friend got a taster which was a drop only because the bottle was empty and the waitress came to fix it and gave her a whole glass for free which was nice. The wine selections were excellent. We also had a flatbread which was good and Padron peppers. Would definitely come back and bring more friends!

We complained about not getting the wines that we were charged for and he came with an attitude telling us it's our fault. As an attempt to find out what was the cause of the issue i asked if it could be possible that when we used the card, someone else was pressing a button and thus our card was charged. He apparently didn't understand that this was just a scenario and jumped ahead to tell me that then it's not their fault. When i told him again that this is just an attempt to make sense of the situation and that I don't really know why we were charged, he straight forward accused us of either not paying attention or trying to scam them. I then asked him if that could be an issue with the machine, if he can show us the transaction history and if he can check the camera feed to see that we only used the machine twice for the minimum cost. He came back twice, showing different transaction histories both times. The second time was the correct feed as at the first one there were 4 transaction that did not add to the amount we've spent. The second feed was showing a drink in between ours for the outstanding amount of 7.20£. Yes, he was accusing us of scamming for 7.20£. He didn't even bother with the camera feed. Upon realising that they made a mistake he gave us back 20£ instead of 7.20£. A common pattern to make mistakes at this point. It goes without saying that I gave back the card with all the extra money in. It’s worth mentioning that when he came back with the fixed amount, instead of apologising, he took his patronising tone and said “ don’t lose it “. Overall what could have been a pleasant evening for 6 people, was ruined by one rude person.

Very nice wine bar with an extensive wine list and delicious small plates. The place is cosy, the staff is friendly... I mean is everything you need if you are looking to have a glass of wine with delicious charcuterie! Absolutely recommended!

Great afternoon with friends enjoying the many wines on offer and a few beers, most of which were soon to follow rather than being available, but enough to keep us happy. Fantastic young lady Juste behind the bar was so cheery and really helpful for us old dodders, made us very welcome. Only negative for us was the sharing Platters, the tapas were excellent and good value for money whereby the cheese sharing platter at £27 was woefully small and not good value.

Smart idea but bare spenny fam. Many 15ml tasters are over £1.50 - it’s far too easy to spend money here.

This has to be the best night out after pandemic restrictions easing in a really long time - Booked a big table for a work get together and the management was super flexible in terms of how deposits worked and number of guests beforehand. And during our night, the staff were incredibliy accommadating and friendly. They were so down to earth, the wines were fantastic, and the ambiance was just perfection. If I could rate it more than 5 stars I would! Thanks so much, Vagabond, and we will be back. :)

Great experience and a fun concept. It's very easy to figure out and the prices are very reasonable. A nice range of wines and the fact that you can choose a wide selection is so much better than being stuck to a single bottle. Nicely decorated, very comfortable and welcoming environment (especially on a chilly Friday afternoon). The staff were all superb - very friendly and helpful. We also ordered the hummus and skin-on fries. Good price and very tasty. Will definitely go there again.

My Mum and enjoyed a wonderful evening and were really looked after by a lovely Romanian lady. Pure heart felt customer service I will never forget.

This is a really love wine bar. Food is fantastic, great choice of wine and the service lovely too. However, I think it’s just a tad over priced. It was about £60-65 for 4 glasses of wine. Great place for a date night but certainly one to do just after pay day.

Great experience. All the staff were so amazing and friendly. They all have knowledge of the wines and went quite in depth if asked. The wines were excellent too. Great way to understand the different types of grapes and figure out what you actually like, without spending a fortune

My friend & I visited Vagabond, Charlotte Street over the weekend & we would like to thank Andrew & Corran for accommodating us with a table even though they were fully booked & putting up with our goofiness! They probably thought we were mad, however, they were very friendly & professional. Also a huge thank you to Andrew for not eating my pasta! He knows what I'm talking about, haha :)

Love the concept of this place! I've been here a few times now and really enjoy it. You have the option to have just a small taster of the wines (for about £1 - £2) or to dispense yourself a glass small/large. They offer a good selection of snacks too. The place is well kept. I wish there was abit of music playing to make the atmosphere. Otherwise though, it's a great place 😄 Best to book in advance as it can get quite busy!

Very average wine bar, with indifferent staff and a weird vibe. The wine is self service, so no staff interaction. Even the water is self serve. The interior is not like the pictures, it’s basically a long room full of tables. The venue might be okay if you know your wine and want to pay by the glass, but if you like going to wine bars because of the staff knowledge and interaction then go somewhere else.

Really cool concept for a wine bar. Your download the app, lodge your credit card, and order/pay/serve yourself through the wine machines. Food is good, as well. Great place to come with friends to try some unique, “different” wines that change regularly.

Doing a good job managing in Covid times and love the extended eat out deal into September

Had the absolute best experience here yesterday. My friend used to work here hasn't been in years, went without planning as I just happened to remember its existence. The atmosphere is great, you can hear each other talk but loved the music too. Most importantly the staff were so great, we were served by Camilla who helped us technophobes out when we were struggling with the app and she was very generous letting us try the different wines! Which were awesome by the way and went so well with the delicious food we got (cheese and meat mix...oh and definitely go for the truffle chips) Matt was also super helpful and friendly and we thought his outfit was so epic but I was too shy to say... Such a lovely place would recommend to anyone, even if you don't drink! Thankyou guys😊
