This little pub was recommended to us by the caravan site we were staying at up the road, unfortunately the kitchen had been closed down so there were no food, nice selection of cask ales 3No and watching the locals get drunk was the entertainment, local dog friendly pub.

Excellent!! We asked if it was ok to take our 3 supported people in for lunch as one is very vocal yes! And we was seated somewhere peaceful so as not to upset the guys . We had sausages mash gravy and pudding and plenty of tea ..it was tasty.. enormous serving Welcoming..normally us care workers don't have time to eat but the guys were that quiet and settled we also are and it was fabulous!!

Came here on a Sunday night as we were staying locally for the weekend. Rolled in at 6:30 only to discover we were well overdue for getting food which finished at 4pm. Expecting to settle for a drink and a ride out to a local co-op we couldn’t have been more surprised than to be offered food if we could wait. Dog friendly, fabulously accommodating given our late arrival, friendly banter to be had and the food was great too. Couldn’t be happier as a customer. Would happily drop in again.

Stumbled upon this pub looking for somewhere to have dinner as staying in the area for a few days. After driving to two pubs locally and not really getting the feeling we were getting hungry. We knew it would be a locals pub as in the middle of nowhere. We were welcomed by staff and customers that were most helpful and polite.Ordered drinks and food and played pool which was free while we waited for our dinner. After 20 minutes it had been taken to our table. We had chilli and ham, egg and chips and it was just what we wanted.Good service and good prices.Pop in if your passing and hopefully you won’t be disappointed.

Una encantadora señorita detrás del sabor de bar que ofrece antes de comprar. Sin duda, una gente de pub con mesas de billar, máquinas y TV mini. Gran ventaja es que este pub es perros. Por desgracia ya no hay comida.

We have had a great meal in this pub last year and decided to do so again whilst visiting surrounding area.We weren't particularly made to feel welcome, but decided to stay for at least a drink. Service at the bar wasn't really the most engaging. We sat down and a message was passed from bar staff via another customer, to say we couldn't sit at that particular table, even though it hadn't a reserved notification. We decided to finish our drink and leave, the table however wasn't occupied whilst we we stood drinking which was annoying. Surely the bar staff should be more courteous in asking us to move and not using another customer. This cost them our custom, we decided to eat elsewhere and will not return.

We visited here again last week and tried their roast dinners definitely by far the best roast we have had in the area it took about 30 minutes but was worth the wait as all the vegetables were freshly cooked and everything was lovely we will be back for roasts a lot more frequently. Keep up the good work

Visited with family. Food was very good. Nice selection for the menu and portions very generous. Our 12 year old unable to finish Butchers Burger (normally unheard of)! Most of party of 6 had sirloins which were excellently cooked and very reasonably priced. Their weeknight meal deals look amazing. Well worth the wait as cooked to order and not from a microwave. Drinks cheaper than usual, pool table to keep teens busy. Enjoy, we will return!

We've never eaten here, but my inlaws have had caravan 5 mins drive away for around 13 years and we've visited often for a few drinks. We've seen it change owners around 3 times over the years, and it still remains friendly and cosy. This is down to owners and credit to the locals who have always given us a warm welcome. (Thanks! :-)..) We were also given the free Wifi code without asking, the staff brought it to our table. This was the first time we had visited this year, the food looked very very nice, with generous portions (served 5pm-7pm), We'll be definitely trying food next time. Nice small beer garden too, 2 real ales, nice food, nice locals and free pool table too. Really nice pub, still, thankfully. Keep up the good work. A hidden gem in the Lincolnshire Fens.

Went following a recommendation for a Sunday lunch. Must have caughtvthem on the hop,the cutlery arrived in damp paper napkins, it wasn't too clean, waited 45 mins for a "roast"dinner.Pork had a quarter inch of fat all round it,beef appeared to be sliced frozen and was tough, roast potatoes weren't, neither was the parsnip, and all in all a disappointment. However, hearing other people's reports,I'll accept it was a bad time, maybe a chef was off, and I will try again. It is a nice, friendly, traditional pub, just a shame the cooking let it down on this occasion. next time, then!

Visited the Butchers Arms last night for husbands pool match. First time in the pub/restaurant and was very impressed with the food served. Had the butchers burger which was an absolute whopper. Ideal for a hearty appetite. It was served with salad and rather delicious chips. Unfortunately just could not manage them all. Will definitely be going back and cant wait to try the steak dinner. Overall service was good, prices were really reasonable and first impressions were very good.

We have visited here since hearing it was under new ownership and were very surprised the quality of the meals since our last visit almost a year ago has increased yes there is a longer wait but the food is definitely worth the wait nice freshly cooked food all nice and hot and the portions are huge we have visited twice in recent weeks and on both occasions the main courses beat us not leaving us space to try one of their desserts. We will be back soon I'm determined to make it to dessert

Recently popped in a couple of times whilst on holiday. The food is great and the best value for money we have found in the area, the only drawback is the waiting time was around 30 minutes but all the food was freshly cooked so well worth waiting for. I had the steak and ale pie which was enormous and so tender and flavoursome with new potatoes and vegetable could not find a single fault at all and my partner had the grilled chicken and she said it was lovely as well. The second visit we had ciabattas from the light bites section and they were very good and still huge portions enough to fill us.Hopefully we will return on our next visit.

Hadn't been in since changed hands, always a little wary, but should not have been, good simple pub food menu, the burger is great and huge, as are all meals. Food is fresh, well cooked and great value, although service can be a little slow when busy, we have visited twice in recent weeks. I believe new dishes are being added so for a great little pub with a good atmosphere this is one of the better ones in the area, worth a try. We will be going back for a third time.

It does what it says on the tin, good value pub grub, whilst a limited menu selection the portions are good, food is freshly cooked, and the service is friendly and attentive. Landlord is always welcoming and the pub is clean and well maintained. We visit every few weeks for a quick evening meal with the family 3 main adult meals and a child's meal plus drinks around £35. Also pleasant garden to sit in for a quiet drink on a summers evening, worth a visit.

Brilliant pub grub food for VERY good prices. Family visit quite often never had a problem. Great food friendly staff and locals. Down side no high chair. But if you know you could bring your own to place ontop of seat or leave in pushchair. Depending on age of child. Hasnt put me off going with my 2 year old. Foods too nice and affordable!

Well done to Kerry and Brett for managing to keep friendly village pubs alive.Don't go expecting a posh restaurant restaurant but do go expecting excellent platefuls of pub grub at value prices served with a friendly smile and courtesy. The Batemans Bitter is probably the best tasting in Lincolnshire. There is also a well stocked selection of Lagers. For the ladies there is also a good selection of wines and every flavour of Cider you can think of.So get yourselves to The Butchers Arms, Commonside, Old Leake. You won't be disappointed.

Between Boston and Skegness on A52 there are few,if any, good value ,great Atmosphere pubs. But lurking just off the A52 at OLD LEAKE there is a gem, well worth a detour of 10 mins.Kerry and Brett slickly run a cosy popular spotless local village pub and will give you the finest of welcomes. For great value drinks, and superb value food , in a traditional atmosphere, this is the place to be, the BBQ Ribs are a challenge for the heartest of appetites ,to get any meal plus a drink for under £10, is amazing real value. The only real problem in recommending The Butchers Arms is ,that if everybody finds this gem as we did, we will struggle to get in ourselves. ENJOY,
