A beautiful traditional real pub. It's such a shame we're losing pubs like this, but thank goodness this one is alive and very much kicking! Great staff and particularly good management 👏 Thank you for treating me so well.

Great pub, old school, with atmosphere to boot. Regular music to suit all tastes. Always busy with staff always willing to help

Great old fashioned pub, nothing is too much trouble if you wish to hold an event there, friendly staff, and they do an amazing buffet for private events

Really good old fashioned pub . No stupid decor , no flashy furnishings. Just a proper pub with decent real ales and friendly atmosphere.

Probably one of few pubs in the area boasting traditional. I visited a couple of others and in between everyone moving around like it is a party, or hens screaming and flaunting too much skin, this was sedated, warm and gave the impression I was looking for. Sadly no fire on the night, which would have made the experience even more cosy. Shame that the UK dont really make beer anymore and you can only get import lager. One tip from me, would be to get proper local scrumpy back on the menu. This would be amazing.

I always have a lovely time when I visit the Butchers, and I’m always met with a warm welcome. Staff are friendly and kind. I would particularly recommend this pub as a safe space for women and LGBTQ+ people

Xmas get together..very much improved over last year tidy and decorated Tho I think we was a week later last year as vibe wasn't as good..but still a great little pub..

A very welcoming traditional locals pub,very small with an open fire although naturally not lit on a May evening Could do with a coat of paint but that’s only a very small criticism A few ciders and real ales were available but most seemed to be drinking lager The girl behind the bar stuck a notice up whilst I was in on the Friday evening stating drugs will not be tolerated but I assume this was for legal reasons as the clientele didn’t appear to be anything other than working class people having a few beers I look forward to revisiting next year when I’m at the steam fair

Excellent pub with a grand selection of beers, the staff and locals were very friendly. They didn't mind 16 of us as soon as they opened and the jukebox was good , they even turned it up for us . What a great atmosphere.

Absolutely amazing place, the atmosphere in this pub is on another level . The staff is very experienced and helpful . Highly recommend.

Lovely 'proper' pub with a busy but cosy bar area. Great atmosphere. Didn't have food, only a drink so can't rate it (do they even do food?!?!). Cash only though which seems few and far between these days! Would definitely visit next time we're in town 👍🏻

Love this pub. Every time I come in Yeovil for business trip I take a beer in this pub as I love the ambiance. The 1st time, I met one guy we discussed Rugby and he paid for us a pinte. When we leaved, he said : I hope we will meet next time ...

An athletic wet pub. Always a great atmosphere with polite staff.

Big improvements on the last time I visited. The children's toys etc are gone and the bar area and what I could see of the kitchen though the upen door are clean. Service was friendly and professional. Good to see this traditional old pub back on its feet. The roof in the skittle ally has been fixed, heating put in an the ally floor is being sorted. Did not eat here or look for a menu so can't comment on this. Toilets are outside here.

Traditional pub not changed much in years and very much the better for it. Serves Timothy Taylor Landlord, one of my favourite Bitters. Friendly crowd, I recommend.

Went on a Sunday afternoon with family & enjoyed every minute. They have an Amazing & fun Staff, you can see why people come back to them. Good times & great energy people crave. Do keep in mind, Cash only bar.

Friendly historical pub with good selection of beers .friendly staff and mix of people .which are tribal .one side of bar called carpet side and other side called the tiles with friendly banter between the two .especially on a Sunday afternoon during the meat draw and a quiz that takes place afterwards between the two sides . Every fortnight . Of which carpet lot have never won because there a bag of shine lol

Traditional pub, with a good selection of beer and wines, neither of which were over priced. Good juke box as well.

I didn't really feel welcome here. It felt like the locals were way more important than me. I didn't like that tiny kids were there quite late. And overall we had one drink and were quick to leave for somewhere more welcoming.

Was here having a pint. The open fire was alight was nice and warm. The service was quick and friendly. Pub games and a skittle ally. Won't mind going here again.

Used to be a good old style pub. Has seen that many changes of hands that it now feels on it's last legs. Beer choice and quality limited. Toilets are a health hazard.
