This is a hidden gem. Inside the bus station. Do not let that put you off. The menu is wide and lots of choice. Well cooked food and prices were very reasonable. Staff nice as well.

A work colleague told me about this place and oh my word! First visit and will definitely be back. Humongous portion size and extremely reasonably priced. Very clean and very pleasant service

The menu, from Breakfast, to Mutton Curry, home made pies, burgers , West Indian cuisine is simply amazing. The quality is excellent, service with a smile and chefs skills are extraordinary. Fresh ingredients , an open clean kitchen. Seating is at is says “bus depot “ Don’t expect more. But central London well worth a visit and a hidden charm.

We noticed a sign for this place after coming out of the Old Vic and crossing over to Emma Cons Gardens to take photos. Weren't quite sure where it was as the sign gave no directions, but Googled back at our hotel and found that it was in Cornwall Road (just over from Old Vic). As our hotel was nearby and we hadn't booked breakfast, went to the Bus Cafe for a fantastically priced and very good full English (loads of enticing-looking non-breakfast choices on the Specials Board, though). Friendly staff and nice vibe with the bus drivers coming off shift and playing pool in the background while we ate. Good food and nice no-frills experience, Thanks!

Lugar asombroso.

Principally designed to cater for bus drivers, this cafe located inside the Waterloo bus depot is also open to the public. It's an old style works canteen, complete with plastic furniture, but don't let that put you off. The food - full english breakfasts, lunches and hot and cold drinks - is first class and is served by friendly staff. A unique, and fast disappearing, experience.

A different eating experience - the ‘canteen’ of the Waterloo bus depot - eat with the bus drivers ! Full English ok - service a bit slow. Other menu items looked very interesting. Staff absolutely lovely and helpful. Probably best value for money in central London 👍

.....mainly because I'm concerned that our bus drivers won't be able to get a seat for their lunch. Or that I might not be able to get a seat. But the ladies in the kitchen churning out this bounty deserve praise and you deserve a good meal. Yes, this is a canteen for bus drivers reaching out to the general public. Sign outside said "Bus Café, Reasonable Prices". They are not kidding. Delicious homemade cauliflower soup with cracked pepper is £2.50 with garlic bread or £3.50 with cheese sandwiches. Doorsteps deep-filled with grated medium cheddar. I couldn't eat for the rest of the day. My companion's spicy pumpkin soup was again homemade and formidably spiced. Plantain chips, supermalt, jerk chicken salad ...it's a greasy spoon with a Caribbean accent. You can have a proper big dinner here for a fiver. It’s tremendous. Or brekkie. Full English is a fiver – barely fits on the plate. Have the half for £3.50. Veggie brekkie is an insane £2.50. Omelette and toast for £2. Seriously. These ladies are delivering the best value for money to be had in London right now. The cakes look homemade, cakey and generous. Fitting one in was out of the question. Probably a dedicated trip. 11 out of 10 for ambience. The coin op pool table was all go. Livestream information about health and safety for bus drivers on the telly. This spot will warm the cockles of your heart, tummy and wallet. My favourite place in London.

We have been living south London for a while but we were struggling to find the good local Vietnamese restaurant until NOW! I ordered Beef pho, delicious! My son had a crispy pork and rice, delicious! and My husband had a Bun cha, DELICIOUS! (also deep fried squid for starter, fantastic) We were so glad finally found a good restaurant not too far from us. We will be coming back definitely soon. Thank you so much.

If I have to judge this place on the food, the food was great, very inventive and very well presented. The wine and sake list was to die for. But the rest of the experience was a bit disappointing. The place at yeh beginning looked nice, like you are suddenly projected into Japan, but then looks like it is an area with other restaurants pop up and you could hear from our table the noise from the other places, also the toilette were shares with other places and when I used them there was a flooding going on, not great. I thought that the services was too rushed, I think we had the 6 courses in like 45 mins top. I couldn’t put my glass down that they would have refilled after one second..I didn’t find the pace relaxing. The price overall was 280 for 2 people, probably a touch too expensive overall, and I have to be honest I was still hungry when I left the restaurant.
