My roast dinner this evening ticked every box and beyond …. I’m slightly biased as I work nearby and having them as an addition on Abbeville Road is like a dream come true …. Time after time they constantly deliver and the changing of menu keeps me very interested . And depending upon where you sit within their venue also adds a different experience . And then there’s the team , as I said “ I’m biased “ . You will have to try it for yourself . Sash x

Found this great little spot to get out the rain, atmosphere and aesthetic was chill and chic. Great service by Marcia and Masie. Made me feel right at home!! Can’t wait to try the food on my next visit!

Genuinely spot on on all fronts... some of the best scallops I've ever had, an exceptional steak tartare... an heirloom carrot dish that would make you go veggie and an onglet steak with chimichuri that would turn you back again! The bar is excellent for a pre-dinner tipple and to be fair it is a great spot for just a drink if you don't fancy food... Service is top notch, very attentative without being fussy and very friendly. We had a bottle of montepulciano that was exactly how it should be... All in all I can't fault Brooke and can't wait to return...

Having walked by this restaurant numerous times and read the reviews for their Sunday lunch we decided to give it a go in the hopes of finding a new local restaurant. When we arrived there were 4 tables occupied. A waitress came and we ordered a beer, a glass of wine, some olives, the cod and the duck salad; as well as requesting a second glass of wine to be served with the cod. Not a complicated order. Our beer and wine arrived but no olives. Having finished the beer the gentlemen ( I am assuming he was the day manager) came to ask whether my husband would like another to which he replied Yes --- this appeared but still no olives so we asked again for them. They were served and within 2 minutes our food appeared, without the second glass of wine. My husband enjoyed his cod. My duck salad was tasty enough except there was a large chunk of hard, bony grizzle and a 2 inch bone in it!! When we had finished the gentlemen appeared to ask if we had enjoyed our meal. i described the above chain events to which he replied "I am sorry to hear that." I expressed my disappointment in the service. Maybe this was just an unfortunate chain of events but during our visit there was absolutely no customer service and equally no attempt to engage in how to improve things. Given the number of other restaurants in the area they truly need to do better if they hope to survive!

The food is the best in the village for its price range. There are options in the village for all price ranges. As a local resident to have something Michelin quality and worthy of in the village is amazing. The pubs and restaurants in the village are amazing and Brooke just works here so well. Marcia and Reece complimented by their amazing chefs and staff also add to being a local for an after work drink on top of the food. They even added a GF pilsner for my intolerance which is a massive seller for the GF community. Some lunch deals and GF options would be nice but I love sitting at the bar after work or eating with friends as much as I love bigger events here.

10/10! You can’t fault the place 😍 incredible service, delicious food, and a lovely atmosphere! We absolutely loved every course and will be definitely coming back! Probably the best steak tartare we’ve had in a while

We had our first visit to Brooke last night. We were a party of 5 and all of us loved it. Delicious food, especially the gnocchi and the roasted hake, great service and nice vibe in the restaurant. We also loved the passion fruit cheesecake - delicious!!!! We will definitely come back 😍

I hosted a Sunday Roast here with friends to celebrate my birthday and it was amazing! The food, drinks, service and ambience were all fantastic. My friends all were impressed and plan to come back. The roast dinner was a good portion and one of the best I have had. A big thanks to Marcia, for being so hospitable and responsive. Will be visiting again soon!

Let me start this by saying I had high hope for this place given the hype created around it. Well done to the marketing team. After being seated, we were given menus.They appeared to be appealing and full of promise. There were four of us, two vegetarians, a warning if you are a vegetarian there is very little on offer which is shocking given that it is 2023. We had a few drinks. The negronis are great, and so are the bloody merries ! We asked for a shandy, which was met with a firm NO. Now on to the food, we were looking to order all the vegetarian dishes on the menu given they were few and far between. We requested for the burrata dish to be served without the lardo. This was met with a firm NO again by our server Erica, who carried an attitude and a half, which did not help. She was very inflexible and gave us the impression that the kitchen is not willing to accommodate any requests, a great way to win peoples customs. We also ordered two roasts, when asked how we would like them cooked, one was medium rare, and the other medium. The medium was yet again met with a firm NO. We can only do rare, medium rare or well done. Why offer the choice if you have fixed options ? To add to this, it took them 1 hour 45 minutes to get the roasts and gnocchi. Upon arrival, I was appaled at the serving of actual meat it must have been just about 100 grams of meat. I am being generous, especially at the price point I was expecting to feel satiated, not looking to go home and eat. More so we ordered fries, which Erica said we would'nt get because the fryer just "broke" which I know to be untrue as I say other patrons eating fries that were delivered a few minutes before, at this point it felt like a bit of a wind up. All this for £150 which is shocking. The quality of the food is fantastic, but the protion sizes are just unjustifiable. All in all, mostly fizz with no pop. Will not be going back or recommending this place to anyone. Unless you are only after a good drink.

Chose Brooke of Abberville Road to bring a small party of family and friends to celebrate a big birthday. Brooke was suggested by a friend who lives locally but I did my own research on ratings and reviews before booking.. I was not disappointed. Welcomed and looked after from start to finish the food was truely excellent. Every guest commented on the quality and taste of their dish. Nothing could have been more trouble. Thank you Brooke for a wonderful memory.

Brooke is a really cosy neighbourhood restaurant on the Abbeville Road in Clapham. It is very relaxed and elegant at the same time, serving top notch food. I had the cod which was juicy and flaky. Perfectly done. You enter through the bar to the left, which has a few tables and if you walk through, you will find the the dining room on the right, which is warm and inviting and smart at the same time. I would go there for a catch up with a friend, as well as a date. Perfect surroundings with great music (good tunes that are not played too loud). I have heard the steak is especially good. There is a terrace where you can catch the sun while dining too. Wish the restaurant were in Soho where I live.

They have done it again! We just hosted my father’s 70th at Brooke on Abbeville Road and we were very impressed. The decor, ambience, staff and food are all sublime. I would highly recommend the T-bone with bone marrow and garlic, unreal! Also dog friendly.

Best oysters and roast I think I've ever had!!

The food and service are excellent, but it's expensive. I would have given 4 stars, but the menu is misleading by not showing VAT inclusive prices, so you only see the VAT when you get the bill.

I have had 2 absolutely delicious dinners and one Sunday lunch here. A lovely place and fantastic food every time!

The best dishes I’ve had in a long while! We got the oysters, followed by the pigs head, followed by octopus and the chicken pie. The pings head was absolutely delicious !! The flavours were amazing and all worked well together the potatoe was so crispy. Then the octopus (which I thought might end up being too fresh or briny based on the description) but wow it was delicious, again flavor combinations, tenderness of the octopus. Also portions were perfect ! I find places now days are not providing full portions. Thank you chefs for a great meal !

We had the most lovely impromptu evening at Brooke on Abbeville Road. The tuna and steak tartar bites were beautifully balanced and the pigs head started utterly sublime. They scored massive brownie points on the phone when I asked if they were dog friendly and they replied “super dog friendly” and genuinely were. And they found a table tucked away to make sure he was comfortable. I really recommend this place and the service from GM Marcia was excellent. Don’t walk past this place. Try it. It’s fabulous.

I had never been to this restaurant before and decided to take my dad for his Christmas present, it was an amazing experience. Staff was incredible, Marcia tended to our every need. When we asked for recommendations (ones recommended: the steak tartare, tuna toast, homemade gnocchi, burrata) she gave us an in depth cover of the menu and ingredients. I really loved going there with my dad and the experience was made even more special by the food and the staff, would definitely go again.

I came to Brooke for a Sunday roast with my wife, niece and 7yr old. The staff were attentive and available when required and there was no long waiting for drinks or food. The Sunday roast is by far the best in the area and one of the best meals I've had in London in a long time. I am very impressed with the quality of the food here and will certainly be returning.

Very disappointing. Website said it was vegetarian friendly but very little choice, no markings on menu and several deserts turned out to have gelatine when we asked. Several meat and fish dishes sold out too, so choice for non vegetarians limited.

It's a hard one to review.. some dishes were good, others probably worth 1/4 of the (high) price (such as an almost-frozen bread that couldn't be heated apparently). Some staff was friendly, others did not have a clue of what was going on - we had to ask 3 different people for anything. We order 2 glass of wine, 3 small dishes + the frozen bread for a grand total of approx £70. Let's say that we will not rush back.

The staff were able to fit us in without a reservation which was grand. Cosy but open pub dining room, really love the stressed green wooden panelling. We started with a dozen oyster and OMG these were the biggest, fattest oysters I’ve ever seen! They came with a razor sharp red wine vinegarette and were shucked perfectly. The seabream was heavenly, bisque was light but complex, and a great seafood lover dish. But , we come to their steak tartare, and it’s breaks my heart (or stomach) to say it was underwhelming, despite the vibrant presentation and description, I found it bland. The subtle mint dressing in the side salad was dreamy, and the rosemary chips were delectably salted but for me (who LOVES tartare), they both eclipsed the tartare. The hispi cabbage was probably my favourite dish of the night, definitely do try it! The Brooke brings a well run, warm and high calibre dining experience to Abbeyville and is absolutely worth going. Thanks for having us and they’re dog friendly too!

Great experience at Brooke - I live very locally and went with 8 friends for a Saturday lunch. The food was exceptional, not standard pub food at all, really well put together flavours. I will happily go again.

Incredible experience at Brooke, food was incredible, service was delightful and they even surprised us with a cake for our engagement celebrations! Couldn’t have asked for more - highly recommend Brooke, make it a priority for your next dinner!!!

This is not a 4.3 rated place, the Sunday roast is exceptional, would make any Top 10 Sunday Roast dining list in London. Decor is excellent, great new local spot and I think the earlier reviews are harsh and probbaly based on one bad staff member, as the ones we had on Sunday were superb. Highly Recommend.

Food was delicious but this is intentionally not a family friendly restaurant - no children’s menu, highchair or changing facilities. It screams children are not welcome which is a huge miss by the powers that be in the heart of nappy valley. We ended up paying £20 for our 6 year old to have food from the menu, all of which was too salty for a child (the chef knew it was for a child). We’d return for date night but never with our children.

We’ve been to Brooke 3 times now and it’s an incredible dining experience every time. The menu has a variety of options (meat, seafood and vegetarian), the food is beautifully presented, and delicious. The restaurant has a relaxed, cozy, home-from-home vibe and the staff are very welcoming and attentive. Wonderful wine and cocktail selection too. We’ll be regulars here!

Went for lunch Sunday roast. Starters were very good (chickpea dish in particular). Roast pork meat didn’t have great feedback from our table but my sea bass and sister-in-laws roast beef very nice. Was told there would be a long wait for mains which was quite surprisingly given the restaurant was less than half full, but we weren’t in a rush so didn’t bother us. First waiter wasn’t particularly charming but a few others who took over were lovely. Quite surprised no kids menu given the area - probably worth stating on website. Overall ok but room for improvement/wouldn’t rush back.

Fantastic. Marcela the general manager is a dream - so attentive, accommodating to annoying dietary requirements, and friendly. The food was simply outstanding. We’ll be back!

A nicely located restaurant bar with a beautiful décor. However with an appetizing menu with a mixture of dishes from different cuisines, my Korean fried chicken looked amazing but the flavour was lacking unfortunately.

We dined at Brooke House last week and it was a lovely atmosphere. They catered to my nut allergy well but upon letting our lovely server know I had a nut allergy I was a little surprised to wait 20 minutes for the chef to check the menu to make sure what did and didn’t have nuts. They were having a busy service so I understood the wait but may be better to check the allergens of the menu before a busy service then have customers wait. When the food did arrive it was a delicious menu. We couldn’t fault it. Based on the food we will be returning. Glad to have them in the neighbourhood.

My fifth roast in six weeks and today I had pork because I have had too much red meat this week and it has a negative effect on my stomach. I so wanted roast chicken with bread sauce! Why do you not do roast chicken when it is so popular? Please put roast chicken on the menu otherwise we’ll have to go to the Rose and Crown next Sunday!!

Decent new pub on Abbeville with good beer on tap. Very limited menu for vegans, if any. I was very disappointed to see foi gras on the menu. They're ok with dogs, but no one brought over water or treats for ours

Went to Brooke a week ago and had one of the best experiences I’ve had in a London restaurant…. Ordered 6 oysters and received 7…. much to the disappointment of the next door table who only got 5 😉 Staff were fab!

Everything we ate was delicious. Drinks were good too.

This is just a brilliant restaurant - chef is top draw. The food is extraordinary.

Foie gras and chicken pate and smoked salmon, confit of duck all first class. Not too expensive for the quality of the food. Brave to open a new restaurant at the end of the pandemic so support them if you want them to survive in our neighborhood. Very friendly staff.

Went to this restaurant on Saturday night, the service was first class by Leah and food was excellent. Great new place wish them all the best for the future.

I came here with my boyfriend a few weeks ago. I got the lovely fillet steak, my partner had the pork chop with apple purée, cabbage with blue cheese and apricot. We had burrata for starter and a lovely bottle of wine as well. The place is situated on a gorgeous road in clapham and the atmosphere of the restaurant is charming and full of character. The service was excellent and we were well looked after whilst dining here. If you are in the area don’t hesitate to pay this gorgeous restaurant a visit!

Went for oysters and wine as a local in the area and excited to see a new restaurant in the area. Offered outside instead of inside, unknown reason why as inside empty, given oyster without napkins or tools. Wine good but came to second round of oysters, paid for 6 but given 5, apparently no more available but all of inside given oysters, Tabasco in short also as ours had to be shared. Told we would be compensated with drinks for the lack of oyster paid but had to chase this up as service seemed confused constantly, safe to say wouldn’t go here if you want a fair service.

Disappointed with the level of service given the prices. They were unable to provide the six oysters we had paid for alongside drinks, and it took a fair bit of wrangling to actually get a refund for this (more than 3 separate conversations with staff + management). Not what I would expect for a somewhat highbrow restaurant. The oysters themselves were delicious, and the wine good. Though, I repeat, I expect more from a restaurant charging the prices they do.

A fantastic place! We were a large group, tucked in to lots of starters, then for me a very good steak tartare, cheese course, crème brûlée and all were delicious. Warm and friendly staff made us feel at home. Wine list is reasonably priced, particularly on some excellent Champagne references. Highly recommend!!

Thought I should try this place as it’s a Newley opened place in my area and most of the time I walk past I see a good buzz went in a few times to try get a table but we’re fully booked so I thought it must be great and made sure my husband made a reservation, when we got there we were stood around waiting and was told we couldn’t sit where we wanted as it’s based of groups and reservations so was stuck in the corner where we were not even visable, the food was fairly decent and the drinks made by the young girl was super BUT THE PRICES were astonishing + the extra service charge whihc i refused to pay, I was served by a young girl not sure of what to do and was taking our orders wrong which was annoying for the service we expected

Families not welcome. No high chairs for toddlers. Was politely informed that they don’t market themselves as being family friendly…a frankly bizarre stance to have when your restaurant is based on Abbeville Road. We then had little choice but to leave.

Brooke is a great new cozy place! Food was delicious (I for sure recommend the Creme Brulee). As I do not drink wine I chose the IPA on tap (local small brewery) and it was super nice. Service is great, I would not have said they are opened for few weeks only, seems like they were there for months and really knew what they are doing. Staff was lovely. The whole place was very cozy and had a great atmosphere. Will for sure come back!

Lovely new spot in Abbeville Village with delicious food!

As a local visiting since the restaurant was recently re-opened, we were excited about our first experience at Brooke. We left so disappointed… It didn’t start the best when they didn’t have a high chair for our 8-month old. Not the end of the world, but as they allowed her at our table in her pram, assume this was not a anti baby policy, just that they didn’t have any (there were no other babies taking up other chairs). We first ordered a round of Bloody Mary’s. When asked if one could be extra spicy the waitress responded, ‘no, they come as they are’. When asked again, she explained they were already spicy so didn’t need anymore spice…this started a really strange experience. When ordering food, one guest who doesn’t eat bread asked if she could just get poached eggs and bacon (which were being served on various dishes). They pushed back saying, ‘that wasn’t a dish on the menu’, which might be fair enough, so she then asked if she could get the Eggs Benedict (which was on the menu), minus the bread and sauce (and happy to pay the full price of the Benedict). This was also declined as, ‘it’s not a dish on the menu..’. Reluctantly she had to then order something else. When the meals came, someone that did order the Eggs Benedict was expecting bacon and it came with ham. He explained the mis-understanding on his part and asked for a side of bacon (again, happy to pay for this, plus two of the other dishes ordered came with bacon). Amazingly again, they refused to bring a side of bacon as…’it’s not on the menu’. Astonished at what we were hearing, it was then when we asked for the bill minus the service charge. To their credit, they didn’t charge for the Eggs Benedict, but if that’s what they’re being credited for, they’ve got bigger issues to come. The sheer arrogance and lack of flexibility from the management and or chef/s is something we’ve never experienced before. Particularly in this climate, and in a highly competitive area and market, they’ll do well to last 6 months if our experience was anything to go by. Good luck to them if they want to run it that way, but we’ll stick to our other spots. A real shame.

Average food with a very high price. Inexperienced staff who told us we could not order food cause kitchen was overloaded. Waitress would bring wrong itens to our table or to the tables next to us. And finally, when the bill came we learned that the prices on the menus do not included taxes and we had around 20% increase due to addition of taxes and the extra 12.5% for the service. We never experienced this before and we felt tricked into it.

We had the best time at Brooke Clapham. The food was amazing and the staff were very helpful with food choices. I can wholeheartedly recommend!

I met up with some friends for a few drinks and some nibbles and we had a great time. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food delicious and moreish. The place had a great vibe to it and I look forward to going again.
