Staff were pleasant and very helpful. We were a party of 10 and most of the food was served together, hot and tasty. Puddings were great too.

Lovely staff members, great pub and really enjoyed the food.Its cosy and a great local to have.The land lord and lady are lovely people, the staff all seem really happy in their job, which says it all.

Had Sunday lunch here, which was lovely. Service was excellent

Food is value for money. The service is good. Most of the sections in the pub seem to have a cold draught, which can be uncomfortable & spoil your evening /meal

We went to the burnt post on 16th January, we both had steak and it was done to perfection, never ever had a bad meal there

We were a large party of 15 with an age range of 3-84 & differing menu requirements from children to carnivores to vegans & gluten free requirements. All accommodated well. Friendly staff. Service prompt. Food of good quality & hot.

Friendly and attentive service and the food was great value. We will definitely be having our Sunday dinner here again. It was obvious other people felt the same as it was busy with families. Bonus - we could take our cockapoo as it's dog friendly.

Came as part of a group for lunch. Orders were taken at the table which made it easier for both us and the staff. Food was lovely. Will definitely come again

Came in for a family birthday party, ordered a rum and pepsi, the pepsi was flat, I explained this to the bartender who poured out a new glass of pepsi and said it didn't look flat now, and looked at me as if that was the end of the matter. So I just asked for a refund. Won't be rushing back. Shame because the first person to serve us (a younger chap) gave excellent service.

Xmas day - I was very dubious about eating out for Christmas dinner especially somewhere no of us has eaten previously. We were all very surprised and pleased with the whole experience. From the restaurant it self, the atmosphere, wait times, service and most of all food quality, quantity and taste. Everything was perfect, and with such a picky family as mine (7 of us) there is usually at least one gripe. The team did an exceptional job and deserve very high praise, especially as it was Xmas day and they were having to work, it was very busy and the added pressure of getting everything correct as it's Christmas dinner. Well done all.

Waited nearly half an hour for The Burnt Post to open on Christmas Day. Gave up in the end, the staff were more interested in setting lunch tables than opening the doors !

Great food as always, just didn't appreciate being told off for sitting at the wrong table by the rude manager/supervisor! Put the surname of the table booking to make it easier!

I went for food with my family here today and had the most amazing steak with beef dripping sauce. Our server Matilda went above and beyond for us! Very well mannered young lady. I will be recommending this place to all!

Met friends here despite reservation we had to get staff to move people from our tables music was too loud for easy conversation otherwise atmosphere was fine cannot comment on food as did not eat this visit.

Lovely Christmas festive pub. Excellent service and food was lovely. Really quick for lunch time and the place was packed. Knowledgeable and polite young man at the bar who took the food order and two lovely young ladies, both wearing glasses who looked after us very good. Recommended.

We came across this pub as we were leaving Coventry. Looked nice from outside. Pub was spacious and looked tidy. Ordered our food. After 20 minutes a member of staff informed us that they had large parties in and our food would be another 15-20 minutes. After 30 minutes still no food so I complained and then it came more or less straight away. Food was bang average and lukewarm. We ate it and left and doubt we'll ever return.

Made a somewhat impromptu booking for 9 people at lunchtime today. Upon arrival we were greeted with a friendly smile and found our table ready and waiting. Staff went above and beyond to serve us drinks and take our order which arrived in plenty of time so we could get back to work. For simplicity we opted for the daily set menu which was enjoyed by all and at a great price. We will be back.

Very nice/clean pub with good service and food, and fair prices. Could do better in terms of food but was not that bad. The atmosphere was very nice and the people were polite and not loud. The only loud thing was the music. Once they turned it on it spoiled our experience because was way to loud and we had to shout to hear each other. Overall, very pleased with this pub and will visit again for sure.

Very busy here, the Friday evening I met up with friends from volunteering. A large crowd but ordering and paying all went smoothly. Well organised, in fact. Good food as well as value for money. Great service tonight from a very smiley, happy waitress. Busy today for a Tuesday lunchtime. Gammon very tender, everyone else enjoyed their haddock and chips and scampi.

We had a group of 13 adults and 3 children. All of the meals came out together and were absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. A lovely celebration for my mum's 89th birthday. Thank you.

Having previously had a disappointing weekday meal here we returned to try again. Sadly our experience this time was no better, the pub interior was cold, and the service was extremely slow. One of the Sunday roasts had sold out but we were not told this when seated, only when we tried to order. After quite a long wait our starters did eventually arrive but were cold and VERY salty, unfortunately we were unable to attract the attention of any staff so this went unrectified.. Sunday lunch looked great when it arrived but unfortunately these meals were also Luke warm at best and the roast potatoes (advertised as delicious and crispy) were most definitely not crispy but rather undercooked new potatoes, again we were ignored by staff so it was not until our table was cleared that we were able to pass on our comments, a refund quickly followed but we left hungry and very, very disappointed. We will not be returning for a third visit.

Came in today with the kids, had the curry it was lovely, we were served by Louise, she was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu, will come here for lunch again, :)

Lively busy bar on a Friday night. Struggled to pay via the app but easy enough to order at the bar. My food was mostly cold and tasteless.

Updated Review 02/10/2024 - 4.5 Stars! Massive improvements, no errors in food and service, had some fantastic evenings in the pub since the original review. Original Review: 3 Stars Food is either fantastic or bang average. Many issues in the kitchen like desserts before mains, or mains before starter. Sometimes what we order differs to what goes through to the kitchen. Tables not always cleared of empty glasses or plates - especially quiz night (Almost like they are understaffed). Love the pub as my local but you never know what you’re going to get when you walk in, regardless of how busy they are.

Just came from having a late lunch and had one of the best steak sandwiches I've ever had. Juicy with beautifully firm mushrooms etc, definitely recommend. Louise our waitress was efficient with a genuine smile and great rapport with all the customers

Ordered the mixed grill and the piece of beef was cooked to order but really rubbish quality. Everything else as expected, really good.

Had a great burger, grace serving me was fantastic, will come back.

Helpful, happy staff. Excellent value for money. My dog and I are always made to feel welcome. Has Sunday lunch of beef which fell off the bone. Veg nicely cooked, not mushy and not raw.

We had a funeral party of 80 plus for a buffet. The service was excellent, food beautiful, service for drinks and food was fast and efficient. Came round clearing tables quickly. The Burnt Post was very clean with lots of seating inside and outside. Plenty of parking. Very helpful with any queries we had and asked if we had any other requests they would be happy to try and accommodate us in anyway possible. Would definitely recommend for any gathering.

Louise was a very attentive host. Quick service and the food was great. Big success!

We had a meal recently at the Burnt Post and I must stress that the current team are excellent. As usual we received an excellent and friendly service with good quality food at a very reasonable price..and I always recommend the Burnt Post to family and friends.....well done.

Had the Sirloin Steak yesterday with beef dripping gravy and it was delicious! The portion size was perfect, crispy onion bites were so flavorsome too.

Took our Grandchildren for breakfast with Santa on 10/12/22. The food was first class, Grandchildren had a great time making Christmas cards for Mummy and Daddy. Then a visit to Santa's Grotto. Santa had time for all of the children for a little chat. Would recommend breakfast with Santa to everyone. Iryna and the staff were fab hosts.

I've been to the burnt post before and the food has always been good but on this occasion we ordered a fish and chips and a pie and chips. On both meals the chips were just about warm and the top of my pie was burnt, (no pun intended) abd the filling was warm'ish. My wife also said her chips were warm not hot. We were in a rush so we had to just eat and go or else I would have spoke to someone rather than just eat it. Won't put me off going though as it was a one off and it's normally a good meal here. The pub is always clean and tidy and the staff are nice and polite always.

The only reason I gave a 9 instead of a 10 was the table allocation but was moved to a more suitable table when asked. The waiter was very attentive. I think it would be better to have a queue for diners and a queue for drinkers only.

Visited last Friday and I was blown away with the quality of the service. Everyone was great but I wanted to say how exceptional a young lad on the bar with an earring was. He was chatting to an older guest in front of me and was friendly and approachable without patronising him. He didn't serve me but it reminded me of my days as a bartender and how hard it is to stay positive and friendly. Our food was brought out by a younger lady with a white top who I guess might have been a team leader? She made good conversation and joked with us. The food was also fantastic and was clearly made and presented with care.

Although today's meal wasn't great, (staff immediately offered free desserts) previously, any meal I have had here has always been very good, the BP deserves 5 stars, the staff are great. it's always clean and I'm very lucky it's my local :)
