This is the best restaurant I’ve been to in coventry. 10/10 food every time. The onion rings are out of this world. I have done 3 stars for atmosphere tho as I do wish it wasn’t so dark but the food makes up for it!

Staff friendly and helpful food very nice but you do not get a lot for your money but what you get is lovely

Well... there's a reason the staff don't ask you how you're food was. Not only are they clearly all dead behind the eyes, they know the food is massively over stated. The menu tantalizes you like a siren calling a sailor to his doom. £16.50 for a "rib platter" that comprised of a singular rib with less meat on the bone than if they pulled it off the carcass of a starved dog. £15+ for "brisket" which was 2 thin slices of beef with less flavor than a hookers panty liner, each mouthful brought less flavour than the last. For the price, I wouldn't expect to get better at a Toby Carvery, but you certainly can! Each dish was served with roast potatoes and a pickle pot... A PICKLE POT!

The food was super good I had the bbq chicken burger and it was absolutely amazing.The service was really fast.And the atmosphere had a nice cozy feeling to it. Overall the place was amazing I am 100% coming back

Amazing visit yesterday. The staff were really good and accommodated our large group. The food was delicious. I have the veggie BBQ burger (the best burger I've ever eaten). Great atmosphere and service.

This is a hidden GEM of a place here in Coventry. I would divorce the wife and marry the chef just to get the Brisket recipe. Attention to detail was fantastic, atmosphere was welcoming and very party like at the same time. Lighting good for getting in the mood for what ever the occasion. I would recommend this place to anybody. Thank you for making my 40th a night, I'll never forget.

The food was delicious. We ate the Kansas cauliflower wings, veggie nachos and corn ribs as starters. Then we had the vegan doner, it was good, but it couldn’t top the starters. And finished with an amazing mud pie (picture 2). Had some lovely cocktails too.

Very quiet for a Saturday evening, small portions and no atmosphere.

What an amazing find. I organised for my group to centre here from all over England. Parking was good, it was not centre of town too, but on a busy high st. The food was amazing! I had the vegan corn ribs, which was the best food experience I have had as a vegan. I do miss holding a bone and eating from it. My main was a the stuffed pepper, also good. Well presented, tasty and a decent size. Others in the party had burgers, platters and wings which reports where good. The drinks selection was decent too. Staff where friendly and attentive, which was totally lovely to add to the experience. Overall, I rarely give 5 stars, but this deserves it 100%. Great job team street.

Food was bland especially the Mac and cheese. Had to have salt and pepper to season it. The portion of the salmon for the price was not good. Additionally has to keep waving 5 female staff multiple times because they were at the bar just chatting away. Took a while to get eye contact and a couple of them would look away as if on purpose. Also the mojito wasn't mixed properly. Tasted more like water than anything. Mediocre overall.

Great food and service, can't understand why it was so quiet, but also to answer this, can't understand why I've never been before! My new favourite restaurant. 🙂👍

I wanted to surprise a family member to a meal for their birthday and was advised by a relative that the Street would be a good place to go. From my 'phone call to organise the meal, to leaving after the meal, the service was brilliant. Great food, excellent service, great atmosphere and we were all very impressed. One of the party is a very fickle eater and they said the food was excelent, I agree. Well worth a visit. Great menu and very well priced, amazing value for the quality of the meal.

Really good food, at a reasonable price, but every single time I visit the staff are just moody and you can tell they really don't want to be there.

The portions are small and probably the right portions but the plates are too big so feels small. Food tasted good though

The Vegan food is incredible 😍 got the lemon and garlic cauliflower wings the sauce was so delicious!! Then I had the mushroom tacos! Comes with rice and watermelon too! They were also ridiculously good! Staff where so friendly and couldn’t do more to help and make the experience a great one 🫶🏻

*Ordered a takeaway* First time ordering, and for £20 I'd expect better. Burger was cold and soggy, stated it comes with salad, pickles, it only had one slice of cheese and some kind of mustard on it. (Burger itself was £7+) Ordered the cheese cake with ice cream, ice cream didn't arrive with order, and cheese cake was a terribly small broken up piece, with a strange taste to it. Onion rings were cold, but nice, chips were cold but nice. Overal I won't order again. Save yourself and get a macdonalds.

Last time I was here it was Asian Fusion so the menu is completely changed. The food was nice. The presentation is nice. There are vegan and veggie options albeit limited. Nothing blew me away and I preferred it as Asian Fusion but I would go back again. The decor is cool. There was nothing that made me dislike it - it just didn’t wow me. The prices are very reasonable imo.

Great food and vibrant atmosphere! The dishes at Street Restaurant were delicious. The ambiance was modern and cozy, creating a welcoming environment. However, we had to go to the till to pay ourselves as no one came to collect the bill. Despite this minor inconvenience, I would still recommend Street Restaurant for its tasty food and enjoyable atmosphere.

Poor portions for the price. Ordered sausage and shoulder and was let down by what I received. One tablespoon of coleslaw, 4 cold potatoes, childs size serving of shoulder. Did come with a decent size sausage surprisingly. Staff were friendly, no complaints on that part and atmosphere was very good. Drinks were a little pricy but very nice and strong. Wouldn’t rush back.

I found the food to be salty . But good portion sizes. The service was quick and the staff friendly and polite. The lighting is really dark which doesn't help if you have poor eye sight.

Overpriced! Nice vibe but food very bland and small portions. Aunt Bessie’s roast potatoes. Pickle was watery and 1 tbsp of coleslaw. Key lime cheesecake was 🤢. Bright green gelatine layer of jelly across top and texture of cheesecake was grainy.

Staff were pleasant and customer service was good but food was a let down. I had mushroom taco’s where a warm mushroom slice had been placed on a freezing cold pre made taco. The rice had clearly been sitting for a while and was just luke warm and lumpy. The lime wedge was so dry I couldn’t get a drip out of it. My partner had the pork and sausage. Minuscule amount of pork, barely warm potatoes but the sausage was tasty. Expensive for the portion size. 45 minutes from start to finish so definitely fast food. Used to be much better.

Visited last night for my retirement party 16 of us. We sent our orders through and all the food came out together. It was lovely 😊 the food was amazing I had sweet and Sour chicken tacos the chicken was gorgeous I’ve never had chicken like it can’t wait to go back. Cocktails were lovely too. Lovely meal and service, couple of things that marked it down a star. We ordered a bottle of wine and it was just put on our table with 2 glasses and left for us to pour ourselves and we waited a while for a dessert menu which was just an oversight. Food was delicious, one of those places where you want to try a little bit of everything, nice vibe, reasonably priced. Would recommend and visit again.

The place was full and the manager was really nice , we order cocktails and went to our table. The starters were good but small for the price, the burgers were ok, very good fries. The service was the disappointment, the lady took away my glass before I finished and when I complained she said but was only a bit on it and left, no apologies or anything. In the way out I went to say goodbye and she just looked down , she looked very annoyed. It wasn’t for the beer , but for Sorry, my mistake.

Arrived at 8.15pm on a Thursday night, no-one said they closed at 9pm but did feel under pressure to order. Food mediocre. Couldn't get dessert because 'kitchen closed at 9pm'. Staff were packing up with their coats and bags almost ushering out the door. Won't go back.

Great looking place and staff very friendly. Sadly the food and their till system let's them down... The pork and beef dog was described as not very spicy but was. Well, let's say that's personal taste. But it was cold, as was the pulled shoulder which was pretty tasteless. But the biggest problem was the rosemary fries. WAY too salty. I mean, I've never had anything that salty in a restaurant before. The pickles were the best part of the dish. So lovely. Sadly, having swapped the southern fried potatoes for the rosemary fries I was asked to pay for that as a side as that's how their till works. I was stunned. To be fair, the waitress immediately removed it, with good grace, when I said not on, but it wasnt unnecessary for both her and me. I hope the tips do go to the staff as you can't just add on, they have to add to the bill total. Maybe I just got a bad day. I wouldn't say avoid by any means but I wouldn't rush back either.

Myself and 3 friends had starters, mains and cocktails this evening, it was nice to be served food that is as promised on the menu, the dishes looked picture perfect, impressive quality and definitely delivered the intense flavour experience you want from a smokehouse. The wings may be the best I’ve had, the pork ribs and beef brisket were the pitmaster real deal-Smokey, tender & meaty. My veggie friend said the kebab is the best vegan meat meal they’ve had. The unique soft drinks were just as good, actually contained the fruits they were flavoured with. I think the prices were perfectly acceptable especially for the quality, I’d say it’s 25% cheaper than similar chain restaurants. drink prices are on par with an upscale chain restaurant (£10 cocktails). We tried some of the pricier items as it was our first time but could easily get a meal and drink for under £15pp, so will be heading back for a cheap one soon.

Just popped in to order a takeaway snack, had the pulled pork loaded chips and dirty? nachos to share. Really polite staff, speedy service and good portions. Have to say, probably the best nachos i've ever had! They were destroyed in seconds!

Arrive on time and decor was quite good. I had the nachos as a starter and they were good…lovely sauce. The main course was not good. A meh chicken burger that had a too sweet bun. The loaded fries were loaded with chilli but chilli residue had dripped through and the fries were just sat in a pool of this getting soggy. The macaroni was bland and needed seasoning. The day after I do not feel well, my stomach ache is raging. Lots of style for this place but not much substance…it was all ok…but only ok

Food uninspiring but inoffensive. 1* for bumping VAT on top of menu prices on the bill without stating this anywhere on the menu Edited to add photos as mgmt replied to deny.. Odd that they're still denying this practice

Good street food, ordered two starters and two mains, apparently you have to specify that you want your starters separate from the mains? First I've ever heard of this. Didn't check if everything was ok with food and sat waited whilst it was quiet for the bill whilst members of staff stood in the bar. For all intense purposes the food was lovely and I cannot fault that, but service was lacking.

Visited on a mid-week evening. Plenty of tables available with a pleasant atmosphere. Great food and just the right sized portions to feel satisfied. Generally prompt and friendly service, the only comment I'd make is that once we'd been served starters and mains nobody came back round to ask if we wanted any more drinks or desserts.

Fast Service and Really Friendly staff. Not too busy and food is delicious. I'm vegetarian and the range of plant based foods are great and good value for money. Would recommend.

Good food, good prices and fast service

Food was nice enough but not a great selection for me personally. I think the style of food has changed somewhat from the Asian fusion style it used to be. The couple of things I did see on the menu which I wanted to try, were not available unfortunately. Cauliflower wings were delicious though and would recommend those.

The food was as expected from the menu, the potato bread for the burgers tasted like normal buns.

Good service and good food. Only criticism is that the chips are very undercooked. And kids get about 3 portions worth. All clumped together. The rest of the food was nice and tasty.

Street used to be Asian fusion cuisine bit is now a smokehouse. It's great - for meat-eaters. I'd not inflict it on a vegetarian or vegan! Food is reasonably priced and the chef is entertaining to watch as he sprinkles chilli on the chips. Staff are friendly and helpful. The ambiance is such that you can hear conversation at your table without effort, though I was in on a non-busy Thursday, which probably helped.

What a fab place, somewhere i wouldnt normally go to, but i have to say my mate chose well. Friendly staff and a lovely variety from meat to vegan burgers also tapas style food. I love the way we say on long tables as a large group, firm comfortable benches . Will defo go again Also had friend banana flowers

Table of 4 adults plus an infant, was able to book at short notice due to another venue cancelling our table at last minute. Staff were accommodating, friendly to us and the food was delicious. Very family friendly and suited us perfectly.

Amazing food and fantastic service could not recommend enough

So happy I found this place when working in the area. Lovely atmosphere, and really friendly, helpful staff, who recommended the beef brisket from the smokehouse section of the menu. Not usually the sort of thing I zone in on, but what a great choice! Just delicious and tender, with great accompaniments. Hoping for more work in the area so I can come back. Oh! And nearly forgot to mention probably the best key lime pie I've ever tasted for dessert. Get in there.

Superb local eatery with absolutely hormonal food, fantastic customer service and a fun and lively atmosphere!!! Hands down, home of the best burgers in the whole of Coventry! Just leaving street. Waiter was Andrew. Friendly, welcoming, and attentive great guy. Food was great. We had the brisket and the bread bun with it as well as a few cocktails. Would definitely recommend

So disappointed . People who work at Street are lovely and service was fast . Portions were ok , place was clean . However the food was not nice - the vegetarian burgers / chips ( tossed in herbs and pepper - odd) was almost inedible . It was cold and covered in thick oil . The bread roll served was burnt … my son and I couldn’t eat it . I’m sorry we didn’t complain at the time but just wanted to leave . Sadly won’t visit again . I was disappointed with this lunch takeaway, the food was likely yesterday evenings and the pulled meat was so heavily seasoned/flavoured it could have been anything, and th. Sausage was poor quality. Overpriced even if it was good but I wouldn't have moaned about it in that case. Gherkins were delicious...

Delicious food, loads of vegan options and very good portion sizes! 100% recommended

"Pot of salted butter" actually means "pot of margarine with salt sprinkled on top". "Dark Storm" cocktail was made from diet ginger beer and not much rum, so this weak cocktail just tasted like aspartame. At these prices, I at least expected real food, but this was more like chemicals. I remember when I could get a Blushing Dragon which would knock my socks off, back when it was an Asian street food place which I really liked. 😊 The waitresses gave 100% great service today so cannot fault them -- the reason this is 2 stars instead of 1. 😊

After going to Street during the "Eat out to help out" scheme (which we really enjoyed), we decided to go back and try it again with others to show them what it is like. Unfortunately, this visit was a disappointment overall. The menu has changed from a pan-asian style to a "smokehouse" style meaning people who have been before might miss some of the previous items avaliable - the fries have changed, no noodles, no chicken bites etc. Drinks wise, these were quite expensive for what you get. For example, the mocktails are £5 each, in a tiny champagne flute (see picture) and warm and tasteless. The lemonade (also £5) however was actually good and in a bigger jar like glass - If only the rest of the drinks came in that size! In terms of the food, again, this feels too expensive for what you get. The burgers are somewhat small and honestly, bland. The meat of the patties is nothing special. You will have to buy a number of sides to really pad out the meal if you are hungry. We can only mention the "Southern Fried Potatoes" which became quite tough to bite once they had cooled down a bit. The staff seemed unattentive generally. They did not come back to the table to ask how the food was and we were sitting there waiting a long time before we could ask for the bill. Overall, quite underwhelming and for ~£70 for 5 of us, we do not think we will be coming back anytime soon.

After all that we had heard we were really looking forward to going, however in reality it was a huge disappointment. The food was bland the sauce was all spice with zero flavor, starter of burnt ends we're cool not hot same for the mushrooms, the chicken was chucked on a tray with the sauce slung on top, the skin on fries were soft not crisp. The best things were the southern fried potatoes and the slaw. Staff were rushed we had idea who was responsible for looking after our order Really not worth the £70 we spent

Serving delicious, authentic pan-Asian cuisine in a Scandi oriental setting. -------------------------------------------------------------- Updated Review: Now a Smoke, Rub and Burger House. Behind-The-Curve dining. Smokehouse model is a bit passè for 2021 even in middle England. Street was clearly on the pace when I visited pre-Covid. It offered a fantastic choice of imaginative, well-cooked pan-Asian dishes. The smoke themed menu doesn't shout imagination and neither does it deliver. The food was just "okay". The service was as good as ever, but it won't be my restaurant of choice going forward.

Very disappointed in the surf and turf box. Definitely not worth £40. Half a tray of chips, 5 prawns with loads of cut up lemon and chilli, sausage that was grisley, and one slice of beef. The beef was cooked lovely but shame it was all in the same tray with all the same taste (very spicy and greasy) not sure what was "beef dripping" about the batch? It was an uncut soggy doughy bun. Corn was in a tiny melted plastic dip pot. The slaw and some pickle dip was nice though. Not a good sharing box with odd numbers. We also ordered the beef nachos, again disappointing! The chill con carne tasted like it came out a tin and very watery. The nachos were cooked well and a good size. We also didn't get the white garlic dip that comes with that. All in all not worth the money, and doubt I'll order from Street again. Edited 15th May 2021 Street face us the opportunity to re order and have a second chance them. I dined with family, there were 6 of us. We had a mix of burgers, sides, dessert, and my brother in law ordered the surf and turf box we ordered last time...... It was great!! The langastines were in its own packaging, the presentation was as good as the taste. Ordered for collection for the first time since new menu. It was a disappointment. Chips were soggy (enormous portion!) and burger was smashed. I think the packaging should be reconsidered. Taste was there so 3 stars and will try again when the restaurant is reopen but definitely put me off collection/delivery orders. Reply to the owner: please see picture. I know I ordered a smashed patty... :| It's the state of the burger I received that I was referring to.

Plenty of space and nice variety of interesting dishes.

Street is a good local restaurant and rhe first thing I would say is the staff are excellent. A good efficient and friendly team. We found our food very salty and heavy. The chicken burger was a bit drowning in sauce so you could not taste the panko breadcrumbs, the need to rethink that dish. My fish curry was nice but a bit oily. So overall nice environment and staff but food disappointing.
