Jodie did a brilliant job of preparing our food and Shaun was a brilliant host. Food was lovely and atmosphere was perfect. Would highly recommend! Ps.. the eggs were perfect!

Just left the Red Lion after having some beautiful food, was lovely a hot served quickly and the team were lovely. We were served by Sean first and received the food from Lewis table checked and asked if we needed anything else. You need to put your car reg in on arrival. We were very pleased with the service! Didn't get the chefs name but want to thank him for the lovely meal we had tonight. Overall food team and atmosphere was lovely. Thank you Nade

Had the posh Fish and Chips and was delicious and portionally value for money recommend. My family had Sunday dinners and Sausage and Mash each thought was lovely and definetly will be back.

The Red Lion in Coventry is welcoming, clean, and friendly. The building is charming and inviting. The service was prompt and friendly, and my server Zoey deserves a special mention for going above and beyond in her customer service-she brought out my meal super quickly and checked I had everything I needed, including a doggy bag for leftovers. She was cheery, efficient and patient. 10 gold stars!

Came for the first time today with my family & fiancée for her birthday. Nothing was too much for Zoey who managed to sort out our younger sons food requests due to ASD with the kitchen staff with no fuss, to ensure the other staff brought out my partners pudding with a candle etc. Food was lovely, presentation was really good and came out in a timely manner and popping hot !

At the time I visited it was nice and quiet. A nice chill vibe where I sat and had a good laugh with my wife. Ordered the Gobi Dhansak (vegan) and Ultimate Burger (not vegan). Food came out relatively quickly and was nice and hot. Really enjoyed my burger and the curry was also a hit. Can recommend this place for an enjoyable place to visit.

King prawns were tiny out of a can. Salads are dry with no dressing. Fish was cold.

Lovely good would comeback again the servers were lovely too.

What a lovely pub The food was amazing steak was cooked to perfection. Prices very reasonable. Accomadated party of 12 with ease bringing all the food at the same time. Everyone in our party enjoyed every mouthful of their food.

Came to the pub for a family meal, and it did not disappoint. Staff were really friendly and helpful, we were a largish group and we were catered for well.

Horrible place with terrible food and service. First the place smells really bad like oil.. the food was the worst I've had in my life... I even had a couple of hairs in my food. I complained about that and the employee said the hairs were mine! They charged me for everything and I did not get even an apology! I strongly do not recommend this place.

Went in for lunch today. Very good choice on the menu. Smiling and attentive Zoey brought us our food and was lovely, checking every now and again to make sure everything was ok. Will visit again.

Roast beef dinner was delicious, burger was the best I’ve had in a pub and my dad said the hunters chicken was the best he’d had. We’ll be back!

Went with friends for a meal and a couple of drinks. Was pleased that i had reserved a table in advance as it did get busy. Good was quick to come out and was delicious and hot. Staff very pleasant.

Every time I visit Coventry I always dine at the Red Lion, tasty food, good variety and value for money. The staff are always helpful, friendly and cheerful, highly recommend and I cannot wait for my next visit.

Handy for the hospital, this was a very well run establishment with a wide menu available. Service was very quick and the food was good value.

Way to expensive. 2 pints of lager and a g&t for £17!! Lager wasn't nice either. Not for me

The food took about an hour to come, my steak was really overcooked and my partners food was cold but we were too hungry and we didn’t want to wait for another one so we just ate it

The food was very good, and did not have to wait very long at all. Very small point, when the food arrived, we were asked if we required any additional sauces, so we asked for some mayonnaise. However, this never turned up, nor did we see the server again. However, as there was some burger sauce on the plate already, it wasn't an issue, just a small point.

Ordered a Sunday lunch via Just Eat. It took nearly one hour arrive. When it did it was small, cold, congealed, and inedible. Just Eat said it due to different cooking styles and would not refund. I drove to the restaurant and they confirmed that Just Eat can only give a refund and that the food had been picked soon after the order and were unsure why it took so long to arrive. They offered replacement food. I took the offer and unfortunately the food was no better when it was hot.

My birthday dinner with a family friend. Absolutely out of this world. The food was delish. Waitress was polite and all smiles. I died and went to heaven with a gorgeous dessert. (I wanted to lick the plate clean)

Once again returned to the Red Lion, but this time to sample their Sunday roast. Uon arriving, the staff were excellent ad always, and so polite. So my partner and I sat down to decide which Sunday roast we fancied. But then a team member walked past us holding a plate of fish, chips and mushy peas. . . . . You know where this is going 😁 Not just myself but my partner ordered it too (Posh fish and chips with mushy peas) which was 2 large battered sea bass. Absolutely delicious and very generous portion sizes. For the price, absolute value for money. Would highly recommend, and next time we've promised ourselves to go for their Sunday roast as that looked amazing too.

Rosie was extremely attentive when adhering to special dietary needs and liaised with the chefs, Beth and Ross, to ensure the correct dietary requirements were met. Rosie and the chefs made our visit a pleasant experience and all food/service was outstanding.

We went to the kids Easter event on Saturday and had a great couple of hours! Good value for money and well organised. Only feedback I have is for next time...please serve breakfast first as guests were starving and kids were filling up on sweets!

Excellant service bar maid rosie went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our stay at the pub always smiling and helpful.

Really enjoyed our special family meal. Lewis was great, lighting the candles on the cake and bringing it over with a smile at just the right moment, even though he was really busy.

I go nearly every week with friends for lunch on a Wednesday. We may only order cheesy chips and wine but we are always treated as if we've ordered fillet steak and champaign. Siobhan always has a smile and nothing is ever too much trouble.

Food is what you would expect from a chain pub such as this, it was good, but not great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. 👍

The bar was really busy, so the food is good quality. But I can’t give more than 1* - I ordered food to collect online at 7.30pm. Arrived 7.15pm to be told it was going to be another 30 minute wait (so 25 mins late) and was given a feee coke. I was in a massive rush but nothing much I could do. Then I went back up at 7.45pm to ask about my order to be told it was another 20 minutes so 35 minutes late after ordering before 7pm, because they are busy. I’m sorry that’s not good enough especially if your order to take away and get a collection time. I had left my baby in the hospital to quickly dash out to collect the food to bring back to eat on the ward - I had googled places to do take away so I could I get back to my sick baby as quickly as possible and I actually cried in the bar when told. I was given the options of wait or cancel the order but I told Them I can’t exactly cancel it I need to eat something and would have expected a bit more support from the staff. Disappointed.

A welcoming place to go. Went there for a catch up and food with friends. Good selection on the menu, I had fish and chips it came freshly cooked and hot. The music wasn't too loud so you could have a conversation without struggling to hear people talking. I been there a few times now and I not been disappointed.

Came down for an early birthday meal this evening, bartender was amazing and really friendly. Food came out wrong, and sent back a few times but staff were awesome about it and I appreciate it’s not their fault! Offered free drinks as an apology which I wasn’t expecting but was so kind of them! The guy that I believe was management was really attentive and kind. Food was delicious apart from the few hiccups- will be back for sure, mainly for the amazing FOH service :)

We walked across the Wyken Nature Reserve to The Red Lion and had a nice lunch in pleasant surroundings. The staff were very friendly (Siobhan and Nicky) and both checked our food was up to standard. I had the chicken chipotle ciabatta with chips and my husband had the beef lasagne. Both were hot and tasty. There is plenty of choice in drinks and we enjoyed a pleasant couple of hours there.

Took my kid for a burger, got a 100 quid bill for using the car park. Called and even visited to clear up, but still the letters come. Biggest con ive ever known And the burgers were a bit dry

Staff were so helpful and very accommodating. We asked to take our main meal home with us and they cooked it fresh when we were ready to go and it was all boxed up so well. Very impressed. The chef was extremely helpful and pleasant.

A good enough pub with a decent menu & good range of drinks available, but you will probably end up waiting ages for your food to arrive. We were there a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday at 6.30pm…the pub wasn’t overly busy but it was still an hour from ordering our meals to them being served. Think The Red Lion has some staffing issues in the kitchen as this has happened quite a few times before. We went to the other local pub…The Mount Pleasant last night for a meal and it was served in half the time…on the Friday before Christmas as well!

We came as a 3 (including a fussy 88 year old) and 2 dogs. We were fussy about not having a high table (apologies about that) and were found the perfect alternative. Our food was a mixture from the normal and festive menus and I must say it was all absolutely brilliant, hot, tasty and huge (turkey dinner for days). Our dogs received the cutest little Xmas bags of treats and they loved the high fives and fussed. Thanks for looking after us and have a great Xmas all.

They don't speak English and are rude... To the owner... the service was unacceptable, the server didn't know what diet lemonade was? Why would I remove the truth.

We come every year for our family catch up for Christmas festive meal and this visit was the best so far food was 1st class and hot thanks to Jodie ( chef) Lewis was our server and couldn’t do enough for us to ensure we had a great evening, and Sachin was brilliant behind the bar sorting out our separate bills for the meals and drinks (which was not easy ) great food great staff great atmosphere!!

A nice place for a meal the food was good but the service was only average we had to to remind the waitress that we wanted our desert. The waitress were very friendly but the service not very good .

Never having visited before, we chose Red Lion to meet up with family from out of town. Do appreciate its a busy time of year and the two girls behind the bar were super, serving ,bringing food and clearing, but I had Hunters Chicken and my husband the Chicken and Mushroom pie, I'm sorry but we thought both were pretty poor.
