Lovely meal on Saturday evening,staff very helpful and friendly. Excellent food.

Absolute waste of time. They’ve cancelled more of our Just Eat orders than they’ve fulfilled. Have to wait 7 days for the money back off JE each time. Why even be on there. Was giving them another go after last time wasn’t great so probably did us a favour.

Had a fab time. Plenty of room inside and out. Food amazing.

We have just finished eating our take out roast dinners a lamb & turkey one ( & there was plenty to eat in the takeout container & there were still hot when we got them home I will do a takeout roast again sometime we both enjoyed them x

Absolutely excellent dog 🐕 friendly pub ... First tried the Sunday lunch lovely warm welcome fantastic food a definite go too with your fur baby to give them a pawcket money treat .. portions were great, price was right , lovely friendly staff and food has to be the best I've tasted in a long time

Love the roast dinner from this pub been twice and food and service is excellent very friendly always feel welcome.

Decided to dine here after rave reviews from my friend. I was so impressed with the salt and pepper chicken starter and the pudding, but the roast was really disappointing considering it won an award for being the best roast dinner. The mash was lumpy, roasties were hard and gritty, veg was overdone and the chicken and roasties tasted and looked like they'd been fried so I'm not sure what exactly made it a roast. I'd return for the starter and dessert alone and maybe try something different next time for the main. The staff and atmosphere is lovely.

Awful food- had to send the roast beef dinner back. Had remnants of somebody else's roast turkey dinner on top of the luke warm veg that the piece of beef was placed on. Very off putting. Waitress tried make excuse that turkey was in the gravy but was big chunks turkey -very white and clearly not associated with the gravy. Very sad looking Yorkshire pud too.. Never sent food back in a restaurant ever but preferred to go home and cook something this time. Truely awful!. Not recommended.

Had pea soup and posh fish finger butty and it was amazing. Soup was so tasty and full of flavour and meat and the fish finger butty was huge but mouth watering. Staff were so helpful and friendly, will definitely go back!

Can't fault the Brown Edge, went in strangers but welcomed like old friends. Food comes in generous servings basic but tasty. Dog friendly bar area. Will be calling again on weekend dog walks.

Just had a Sunday roast with my wife, it’s like going to your mums for the best roast dinner Excellent food, excellent service, really friendly staff and a nice pint of Neck oil to make the visit PERFECT

Had a great meal in The Brown Edge with my wife having a Sunday dinner and I had the chilli con carne pie special. It was delicious!

Went for the award winning sunday lunch. Recommend the lamb shank but the beef was like shoe leather. They did not charge me for the meal. Was disappointed though

I cant recommend this pub enough. Myself and my husband had our wedding reception there. Hannah and George really made our day very special with a prosecco welcome, and beautiful decorations. A wonderful hot and cold buffet. Bar staff were very attentive and professional. Wonderful atmosphere and everyone had a fantastic time. A very well deserved 5 stars from me!!

Came for a party with friends which was served a buffet of hot and cold food. Was spoken to in a very derogatory manner when asking if we could take it home. Needed to bring our OWN tupperware to take home £400 worth of food which wasn’t able to get wrapped and may be thrown in the bin. The manner of which the lady at the bar spoke to myself and a family member was just uncalled for. On top of when staff members behind the bar started talking about us and laughing to themselves. Asking just to bring a knife to cut a cake and wouldn’t even bring that. Clearly wanting us out. Just whispering and pointing at us the entire time. Also hearing people saying that they’re planning on taking our food once we’ve gone after we’ve payed so much money. Uncalled for.

Incredibly rude staff, payed £400 on a buffet and room, the room was tiny, no open windows with 25+ people there in the middle of a heatwave. Food was an hour late and was told they wouldn't wrap it for us if we wanted to take home leftovers. apparently wanted it for themselves anyways so that explains why they were so unhelpful

Gem of a local pub that serves great home cooked food and drinks at affordable prices. Relaxed atmosphere, recommended.

Don't know why it's took us so long to visit but so glad we did. Will be back soon 👍😋

First time here for Sunday lunch and very happy...had the halloumi which is beautiful...hot ribs very tasty and a really nice Sunday lunch....as close to a home cooked lunch as I have had...Will be back to try the pizza

Food was very good but couldn't eat it because the table wasn't set. IE no knifes and forks salt pepper etc. Also I asked for a little more gravy half way through my meal and a gravy bowl came full of gravy which is great service but unfortunately I got charged extra for the gravy which I thought was a bit off

Contemporary, family friendly, warm & welcoming atmosphere. Always appears busy filled with nice friendly jovial people, from all different walks of life.

Very nice pub enjoy each time we go.

I'd heard good things about this place so decided to give it a try. It was very busy but the lady that answered the phone managed to fit us in. I'm glad we did book otherwise we'd have been disappointed as it was so busy. Food and service was great. There was a bit of a wait for our food but it was very busy so we didn't mind. Will deffo go again, just go a bit earlier next time.

Called in for a Sunday dinner. Excellent, tasty home cooked with a good selection of meats and vegetables. Staff very friendly and helpful. Compliments to the chef.

Uber eats states burger comes with chips. Chips do not arrive. Ring pub. Burger does not come with chips. It states on the Web page that it does. Apparently this is Uber eats and my issue, not theirs. Tone of voice and attitude rude and dismissive. Food average.

Never been before defo 👌 going back, great staff and food with a good sized beer garden.

OK but large gang of people sat round a table, squeezing inbetween our chairs coz they'd placed theirs too close, no social distancing by this group so we left, not saying its the pub or staffs fault, just some people are inconsiderate

Massive pizzas, and very good they were too. We were shown the pizza special offer menu, 2 pizzas + bottle of House wine £22 but then told the offer wasn't on because it was Bank Holiday Monday?! 🤔 Why put out the offer menus then?? 😳 The pizzas we had were really, really good, but we did have to wait an awful long time to be served. Beautiful day though, and we enjoyed it.

Beer £3.50 for Amstel. Pizzas £9 really quiet tonight. No real ale. No pool table due to COVID-19. Normal menu expected once we return to normality

We came here for a take away Sunday roast during the lockdown. We both had trio of roast which was very big portion with ham, pork and beef with all the trimmings and was very nice. I had the chocolate fudge cake and my partner had the apple pie all that came to £30 bargain.

Sunday dinner was just like a traditional homemade Sunday roast, absolutely gorgeous.

Went here after a funeral. Think the heating had broken but otherwise a lovely pub.

Lovely welcoming , small lynch menu for Sunday but all you need. Nice portion. Lovely dining area, newly decorated. Only thing I would say is maybe plates should have been heated, but easily remedied hopefully for the future.

Recently refurbished after a much needed facelift. Much better than it was. I'd visit again and maybe try out the food.

Nice place making a real effort to make it a nicer pub restaurant.

Great ambience and service. Food delicious and great value for money. You won't find a better Sunday roast! Highly recommended.
