A beautiful and very clean pub. Welcoming hosts and very friendly guests. We immediately felt welcome. The food is absolutely delicious. Thank you for the excellent service and recommendations from MANI. We had a wonderful morning. Our dog was also very welcome. She slept peacefully and enjoyed the break.

Thanks for the delicious spicy food and guest beers which went down well, on saturday evening and for the attentive service Nish provided. Nice comfortable pub, dog and child friendly. Can't be bad.

I am Having incredible experience of food at (THE BROOK INDIAN GASTRO PUB). Where the flavors and texture of is well cooked. The best quality of they food is well balanced ingredients with perfection of taste, which is unique and delicious(luscious). I am highly satisfied with there hygiene and friendliness.. We were very disappointed by our meal, especially the byriani which has nothing to do with a real Hyderabad meal. And it was not fresh clearly done the day before and vaguely heated up in the microwave. Stay away.

I’d never been to an Indian pub before and had no idea what to expect, as along with 6 other family members we visited for our Easter Sunday meal. There was a fabulous choice of both Authentic Indian cuisine and regular English dishes including beef or chicken roast dinners. I opted for the Thali with Chicken, which was made extra spicy at my request, it also included a dessert. Although I’ve had many Indian meals this was without doubt one of the very best, was superbly presented and had very generous portions. The same was also true of all of the meals that we ordered. Finishing my meal was a challenge but it was so delicious, I took my time and was eventually successful in leaving a clean plate. Amazingly, considering the high quality and portion size, the prices were very competitive. It was a beautiful sunny day and we ate our meals on the tables in the pub garden and were able to enjoy the sunshine. The pub has its own free car park with generously sized parking spaces, giving you lots of room to open your car doors. Without a doubt we will be aiming to dine here again when visiting. Cambridge.

Wow wow wow! Walked in and was greeted by really friendly staff, the pub was nice and clean and overall a really nice atmosphere! Food was actually authentic and tasty, will definitely be coming back again and again. I haven’t had better in Cambridge!!

This is a pub i normaly just pop into as im waiting for my bus into town but the stuff are always friendly, the beer is cold, it always seems busy. Today behind the bar was a young lady called millie very polite I would recommend this pub to friends !!

A Roast dinner is not this pubs strength. Undercooked and overcooked all on the same plate and watered down drinks. Really poor experience.

horrible! never going here again- a member of staff approached me and my two children and told us to leave. we asked why and they replied with “your being a disruption to the atmosphere” which is a stupid reason so i refused THEN he threw a glass at me and i called the police. NEVER go there horrible.

We got there on Mother’s Day . We asked for a Sunday roast, they had run out by 3pm, never mind, we’ll get another dish on the menu. We had paid and then found out about 10% nhs discount: we politely asked if they could refund and then we could pay again with discount? They said no, which is again, fine, fair enough, but would have been nice if they could. We waited for 40 minutes for our food, it came and we got chilli paneer placed in front of us. I said we ordered paneer bao, they said it’s the same things inside, just not the bao. I said this is not what they ordered, they said, oh did they not tell u at the bar? It had run out. Ok, I asked for a refund for the dish that I did not order: they obliged. We ordered 4 drinks. They came out and told us that one of the drinks ingredients (surprise surprise) has run out (again, after we have paid for it). Onto the food: this was not good and not authentic . I and my family are Indian: we know good Indian food. I can’t speak for the non-vegetarian options, but the vegetarian food, I am so sorry to say, needs vast improvement. Indian food is normally great for vegetarians, but here, the paneer biryani was 99% rice, 1% paneer, with not enough raita. The Thali: each dish was swimming in oil, perhaps trying to make up for the lack of flavour. The gulab jamun was a strange texture and taste. If you are searching for good Indian food in Cambridge, I would advise you to go elsewhere.

Nice dining experience, tasty dishes and a lot of vegetarian options. Service was not super quick, but the place was also quite busy. Some portions are massive (like Paneer Biryani) , some are a bit small (like veg samosa) Overall pleased by our dinner, prices are reasonable.

Went to The Brook on a Tuesday evening around 6 PM with a group of friends. Lovely environment, nice area to sit out back as well as inside. Great food, courteous service, overall a happy place. I'm definitely going back to try more of their food. Update 1: visited them on mother's day Sunday for a quick meal, lovely kale chat, and very hot prawns. The paneer was alright. Great combo with drinks. They don't do their regular menu on Sunday, it's a smaller Sunday menu with Sunday roast as the main attraction. Update 2: Ordered chicken biryani, nihari and samosa for a home delivery. The best damn chicken biryani in Cambridge, by a stretch. And the nihari is just too good. Ordering is available by calling them directly, and also via deliveroo. Definitely going back to try more food. A proper Indian pub, this one is. Update 10399: The new menu item Fried rice & chilly chicken is lit! The staff is as friendly as always, and I took more friends today to try the weekend Indian Thali. Very good meal with unlimited rice. CK, hope you read this one. I want my free pint next time 😁 Update xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx: The new menus, especially the brunch, is fab addition. I recently visited The Brook Indian Gastro Pub, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. I ordered the chicken biryani, and it was freshly cooked, full of flavor, and truly reminiscent of authentic Hyderabadi biryani - a real treat for anyone who loves traditional Indian cuisine, The burger and chips were also fantastic! Simple yet delicious. The staff here are amazing - warm, welcoming, and always serving with kindness. The atmosphere in the restaurant feels very homely, with a great ambiance that makes it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. The classic music in the background was a nice touch too, adding to the overall relaxing vibe. It's a great spot for families and children too, with a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Went to the brook recently and my god it was one of the best curries I’ve had in Cambridge. CK was especially nice and a great host! If you are around this area do yourself a favour and head in!

Harsha and CK were fantastic in guiding me to try two new dishes from the menu. It was all delicious! I normally choose the biryani, this was hard to resist as it is outstanding also. Have been coming here for a few years now and can’t find a better place for food and sport.

Delicious food and very nice people. You can taste their love for food and hospitality in the dishes. And I had freshly baked naan bread, finger licking delicious!

We visited to brook tonight whilst staying in a local hotel visiting family. This was one of the best curries we have ever had anywhere. The food is so delicious I can’t rate it highly enough. The Kids food was also lovely too. You can see and taste the effort put into it. 10/10 I can’t wait to come back next time we are in the area

Gran combinación de pub, excelente comida, ambiente relajado y cerveza bien cuidada. El servicio (Abhilash? ) era amable y eficiente sin ser nunca imponente, pero cuando nos fuimos, dejando accidentalmente un bolso de mano, A. vino corriendo por la calle con él! Grandes entrantes, Kale Chat y Paneer Bao v. especial - fresco y animado. Mains Veg curry, Dahl y Paneer todos distintivos y muy sabrosos, cocinados a nuestro nivel de calor (medio caliente). Paratha elevada a algo muy especial Gracias por la comida muy agradable y una gran noche.

We really had a very good experience celebrating our friend's theme based birthday party at Brook's Pub. Chandu and team were very hospitable and they were very helpful and supportive in making this event a memorable one. We thoroughly enjoyed all the food that was served and we would give 5 ratings for all the chicken/fish starters and biryani. We would definitely visit this place again and I'd recommend you'll to try going to this pub.

Had a lovely dinner today with family to celebrate my uncle’s birthday. Our first impression was that staff (CK and Harsha) were really accommodating and friendly, they were also attentive to our needs, surprisingly they already know what we need before we even ask! :D Food was also very good, and big servings too. We will definitely be back! We’d give more stars if we could! :)

I was blown away by the great food and service here, just popped in on the off-chance as I’m working in the area, and had a wonderful experience. The food is delicious, perfect portions and you can tell it’s fresh and well prepared, with lovely fresh herbs and spices sprinkled on top. Very reasonable price, it’s nice to get a pub vibe but with decent Indian food. Thali is so delicious.😍 The staff are welcoming and friendly, 🙏 would highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious and authentic indian food in and around Cambridge area you can ever find. The taste and quantity is ultimately especially onion flitters, apollo fish and prawn 65. The biryani was amazing. The bar staff is so attentively kind and very friendly. I can tell this place is going to be my regular with family from now.

Abysmal service which ruined everything. Food was fine (mediocre, nothing special) but the rudeness of the male staff was unbelievable on so many levels. If I could give zero stars for service I would. Also, ordered starters and mains and 45 mins later 1 main course arrived. 20 mins later starters came, then 20 mins later the other mains. Will definitely not return.

I recently enjoyed a flavorful chicken biryani and an Indian thali. The biryani had tender, well-spiced chicken with perfectly cooked, fragrant rice. It wasn’t too oily and paired nicely with the cool raita. The thali offered a great variety of dishes rich curries, dal, fresh chapati, and pickles. It was a well-balanced meal with a mix of spicy and mild flavors, making for a satisfying and authentic Indian dining experience.

The Indian food is good, not great. We ordered a couple of starters and couldn't tell which one was fish and which one was chicken, they were both quite hard. The chicken biryani was excellent though.

Nos encanta The Brook tanto ... si solo fuera nuestro local y podríamos tener una risa con Diane todos los días! Este es un pub con un menú predominantemente indio y la comida es tan buena! ¡Comimos allí dos noches en el trote! Tuve el cordero cocinado lentamente de 8 horas una noche y el paneer masala al día siguiente. Ambos fueron maravillosos ♡

Excellent, courteous, kindly attitude of staff compared to experiences at other eateries. Very attentive, even though running the bar, the member of staff came to help us finish the order (for 3) at our outside table. Checked early on with us if all ok, very helpful, careful and attentiive. No rush whatsoever. Would recommend for customer service alone. Party all vegetrian and enjoyed Paneer curry, rice and two Chana Masala. Would prefer. tradtional Onion Bhaji whereas they served an Onion Fritter style was on dry side. Mint sauce though best have tasted!

Amazing atmosphere, beer garden(outdoor space), people and the food. Also shows F1, which is a bonus. We ordered the lamb nihari, the brook chicken masala, naan and papdi chaat. Authentic flavours, excellent quality and prompt service. Overall wonderful experience, my new local pub. Highly recommend.

Vamsi and his team are providing authentic Indian cuisine rarely seen in the UK. As a long time visitor to The Indian subcontinent, I cannot express how happy I am to eat a Thali (Veg n Non-Veg) for a reasonable price.

What a wonderful find. Parking Free parking available right on site. Atmosphere Cosy and warm, bright and cheerful, clean and welcoming. Games and entertainment available for kids including colouring pencils tucked away in the corner to use. Food The food is brilliant and has a home cooking vibe. I'm of Indian origin and feel comfortable stating that. The food is mostly from the South Indian region. We had the lamb fry and non veg thali and really recommend it. The food took adequate time to prepare and we knew it was being done freshly. Drinks Local ales, Indian inspired cocktails available and of good quality. Staff Staff were so friendly and kind. We met the manager's husband who was really lovely and kind to my little nephew who just wanted to keep chatting to him! He even treated him to a little dessert. The pub really takes the Indian hospitality in their stride culturally given it's so innately important to the heritage which was nice to see. Value Excellent value for money. Three alcoholic drinks, three mains including a meal for my nephew was under £65.00 Don't hesitate if you've come this far, book or visit!
